Mojo 222

Good morning! For this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge I decided to use some more of the Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (available January 24, 2012). I really like this paper, it coordinates with some great colors and has a little bit of a vintage feel to it. The Card Stock is Very Vanilla and Soft Suede. I cut out a circle with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and ran it through the Flower Garden Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It was then sponged with Crumb Cake Ink. The greeting is from the Word Play Clear Mount Set and is stamped in Pool Party, I sponged the edges of it also with Crumb Cake. Some gold 3/16″ Metallic Brads complete the card and give it some shine. I hope that enjoyed today’s card and as always thanks for stopping by!

Mojo 221 & Sneak Peek

Happy last day of 2011! I have to say that I had a pretty good year. I spent time with friends and family and got to do a lot of paper crafting, which always makes me happy. For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge I used some of the new Stampin’ Up! products that will be available in the Occasions Mini Catalog (January 4, 2012) and the Sale-A-Bration Catalog (January 24, 2012). The card stock is Pool Party, Lucky Limeaide and Very Vanilla, they are quickly becoming my favorites. The Designer Series Paper is Everyday Enchantment (Sale-A-Bration). It coordinates with some of the new and old in-colors. I used the new Edgelits Dies on the top two banners. They give you a nice clean decorated edge with minimal fuss. The heart is from the new Take It to Heart Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and the P.S. I Love You Set (Occasions Mini). I cut out the heart with the new Framelits Hearts Collection Dies. They work great with the stamped images because you can position them exactly where you want to and see where you are going to cut. The sentiment is also from the P.S. I Love You Set and was punched out using the Modern Label Punch. Finally, the printed brads and ribbon are from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration). I love all of the new Stampin’ Up! products in the two new catalogs and I’m sure that you will too. If you would like a catalog email me and I’ll send one to you. For orders you can contact me or click over on the right to shop online anytime! Have a happy and safe New Years Eve and a prosperous New Year!

Mojo 218

For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge I decided to do yet another Holiday card. I’m actually kind of upset that Christmas is almost upon us and soon we will be making Valentine’s cards instead. I’m sure that I’ll get over it quickly though, especially with all of the cool new stuff in the Occasions Mini Catalog! For this card I used some Brights Stack Designer Series Paper for the background. I punched the edge of some Marina Mist Smooth Card Stock with the Scallop Edge Punch and the scored some lines in it using the Simply Scored. On top of that I used the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on some Whisper White for some dimension and to tie it in with the dots on the background. I stamped the Noel from the Warmest of Wishes Clear Mount Hostess Set in the Holiday Mini Catalog and then punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch and popped it up on Some Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched out some circles from the Frostwood Lodge Designer Series paper and used a Stampin’ Marker to put in the “string”. I love playing along each week and hope you enjoy the card. Thanks for stopping by!

Mojo 216

For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch I am keeping on with my Christmas cards. I’m still a big fan of the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper. I like the colors that it coordinates with and the ornaments are so pretty. I used some Early Espresso, Marina Mist and Old Olive Smooth Card Stock to create this card. I used quite a few tools to put the whole thing together. The background is embossed with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. You can barely see the “ribbon” but I did use my Color Spritzer Tool that I often forget that I have. I cut out the “25” from the Merry and Type Stamp Set, I should cut out a little more often, I need the practice! The circles were punched out with just about every one of the circle punches that I have. Stampin’ Dimensionals give it a little depth, I like some 3D! Finishing off the card is Merry Christmas from the Petite Pairs Wood Mount Stamp Set. I think it’s a must have for any stamper as it contains every greeting that you will ever need. Thanks for stopping by and I hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Mojo 215

This weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge is rectangles. For my card I decided to showcase the Holly Berry Bouquet-Etoile de Noel (Pines & Poinsettias) Product Suite. I used a base of Early Espresso Smooth Card Stock and put down some of the Holly Berry Bouquet Designer Series Paper. I then used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder on some more Early Espresso. I then stamped some Garden Green for a DSP look. I chopped off the greeting and it still looks nice and mounted that on some Cherry Cobbler. I markered another stamp from the set and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch and used one of Mary Fish’s tricks to give it a border. I love playing along each week and hope that you enjoy the cards. Have a great night!

Mojo 214

This weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge Was perfect for a Christmas card. I used the Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Holiday Mini Catalog for my background and placed a Perfect Polkadots Texture Impressions Embossing Folder circle on top of that. The Designer Series Paper, Letters to Santa, is so versatile. It’s especially good for making “masculine” cards. I love the ornaments and the colors. I used the Postage Stamp Punch to punch out one of the stamp images for the paper. The greeting is simple and looks great in Marina Mist. Thanks for taking a look and have a great weekend!

Mojo 212

This weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge is to use a tag. I love tags! I decided to keep it elegant by using Real Red, Basic Black & Very Vanilla. The vanilla polka dots embossed and then placed on the vanilla card has a nice clean look. I have never used the get well soon sentiment before, probably hoping that I never have to! Thanks for taking a look and have a great day!

Mojo 210

For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge I decided to follow it as close to the letter as I could. I really like clean layout. I like the black, grey and  white together, I think it gives a very formal look. To make it a bit more on the fun side I stamped some birthday horns and the word celebrate in a fun font. I guess you would call it formal with a fun twist! I love playing a long each week and look forward to the next one. Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Mojo 209

For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch challenge I wanted to do a non-traditional Christmas Card. I love the browns & blues together, for some reason they remind me of the holiday season. I used some Early Espresso Card Stock for the card. The Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder has such a nice depth to it and looks great on Very Vanilla Card Stock. I love shade of the Marina Mist Card Stock and I used the Scallop Trim Border Punch on the one edge. The snow man is from the Merry Winter Clear Mount set and the Merry Christmas is from the incredibly versatile Teeny Tiny Wishes Wood Mount set. The card has a nice frosty feel to it, I’m very happy with the way it came out. Thanks for taking a look!

Mojo Monday 208

This weeks Mojo Monday challenge is a sketch. I love all of their sketch challenges but I really like this one because it appeals to my neat and orderly side! It’s a great layout and as soon as I saw it I knew what I wanted to do. The Open Seas is by far one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! sets from the Summer Mini Catalog. It was carried over after the catalog expired so I think that you can still get it now. I love the masculine feel and I always need to use a nice dark blue paper with it. I usually use a beige background but I opted for white to give it a crisper look. The stamps are extremely detailed and have a bit of a vintage feel to them. I used Basic Black Classic Stampin’ Ink for the images. The Sentiment is from the retired set Afterthoughts. I like the nice clean lines and uncomplicated simple look, hope you like it too. 🙂
