Mojo Monday 479

Well, despite the copious amounts of snow that we got the weekend went by pretty fast! The roads were much better this morning on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I did manage to get all of my list of things to do done! The store was quiet and Angie and Renee were there working on all sorts of projects so I snuck out a little early. On the way home I stopped by Brian and Kim’s, I haven’t seen then in way too long! We got all caught up and then I came home, did a little cleaning and waited for my friend Jim to come by for dinner. Taylor stopped by and is feeling much better, she went to the Doctor and got some medicine. I enjoyed a nice evening at with my friend, got all of my posts typed up for today and called it a night. More of my list needs to get finished at the Store today, hopefully I can stay focused! 😀

It’s Monday and what better way to start off the week than with a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock and across the bottom is a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Winter Petite Paper Pad. Next up is a strip of Tropical Teal and a circle of Crisp Green that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. My main panel is a piece of Blue Mint backed with some Battleship Gray. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Tree Border to cut out a piece of Dark Molasses and the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders to cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb. All of my images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Love Letters Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped my greeting in Black Licorice and the images in Jet Black, they are colored in with Copics, I stamped the HI and Smiley Face in Jalapeño and Peacock and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. A few 3D Foam Squares on the back of the bird and phone to adhere them to the card and it’s finished! I think that Lawn Fawn Love Letters Stamp Set is so cute and I really like that greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of Team’s cards! We can’t wait to see what you do with the sketch so make sure and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks for starting your week off with a visit here! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 477

Another nice weekend spent with some really nice people, who could ask for anything more?! The Stamp, Ink, Paper store is always so much fun when there are loads of people hanging to and being creative! People working on scrapbook pages and cards. I got to help Evelyn with her Cricut, something new for me! If it plugs in I get it! LOL! I also got my inventory completed, a very productive day! After work I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then came home and relaxed. I try to do that on Sunday nights. Today I have a lot more system stuff to do at the store and hopefully everything will be finished by Wednesday! Wish me luck! 😀

It’s Monday and time for the last Mojo Monday challenge of 2016! We will be taking a little break until January so here is the sketch…

mojo477

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the front with a piece of Herb Garden. For my background I place the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Prints Background into my MISTI and stamped in in Hero Arts Green Hills onto Solar White 80lb and Versa-Mark onto Crisp Green and then heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I then adhered the two sides, matching up the pattern, onto my card base. Across the lower half is a strip of Gold Mirror Card. My greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Lime to Forever Green Ombre Ink repeatedly onto another piece of Solar White 80lb using my MISTI again. The center one is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I backed it with some more Herb Garden and it’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To complete the card I die cut one of the snowflakes from the Hero Arts Paper Layering Snowflakes with Frames from a piece of Ice Gold Curious Metallic. It’s adhered to the card with a 3D Foam Square and in the center is a Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequin! I really do love the way the background came out and the MISTI made it so easy to do! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the last Mojo Monday Sketch of 2016! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see your one in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 476

It was actually a nice sunny day here yesterday. I started to feel a little better in the afternoon and Andrew came over to continue helping me with my little project, getting closer to competing it. We worked on it for about 5 hours. He headed out around 5:30 and then Taylor came by for a bit. I had gotten her one of the Amazon Fire Tablets, it was on sale for $33 how can you go wrong?! It is an early Christmas present and she loved it. I worked on a few crafty projects in the evening and am looking forward to getting back to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store tomorrow! 😀

It’s the start of a new week and we have a fun simple Mojo Monday sketch for you…

mojo476

I was digging through some older supplies and found one of my old favorites so I included some on today’s card. My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Cherry Cobbler. On top of that is that Brushed Silver Metallic Card Stock that I loved so much back in the day! For the main panel I heat embossed the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Print Background onto a piece of Basic Gray in WOW! Rich Play Gold Embossing Powder. I have seen a lot of people using it and I have to agree it’s a nice soft gold! The panel is adhered to another piece of Cherry Cobbler and then that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. For the greeting I heat embossed a stamp form the Hero Arts Holiday Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set onto more Cherry Cobbler in more Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder, another image and the greeting are heat embossed onto 48lb Vellum with Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder, I then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The lager image is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the Vellum to that with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I tried a few sequins but it just didn’t need anything else! I do love that Rich Pad Gold and the detail on the Holiday Florals Background! I had forgotten that I had that one! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of teammate’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so, so much for starting another week off with me! I wish you all a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 475

Is it really Monday already?! I was extra tired at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday. Not sure why but I needed a nap! It was so windy and cold here yesterday too, like 50mph winds, crazy! It even snowed a little last night! 🙁 Taylor did come up to the store to keep me company and make her grandfather a birthday card. I tried to work on some things and did manage to get a few things done but not as much as I had wanted to. Dinner with my Parents was good as always and after I stole a donut from them and came home and had a little coffee and watched some TV. The power keeps going out here for a second every so often lately, it’s getting really annoying! I think that I need to get a battery backup for my computer, not good to have it keep shutting off! Today I will finish up what I wanted to get done yesterday. Renee will be back in the store today, she has her Home Decor class today. 😀

I always look forward to Monday’s because it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

mojo475

I used quite a few different products on my card for today! The base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Classic Cherry with the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background heat embossed in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. The main panel is a piece of Prima Sweet Peppermint No Peeking 12×12 Paper backed with a piece of Rose Chintz. I heat embossed the Hand Drawn Snowflakes again onto a piece of Yellow with Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder and flagged the right side. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black onto another piece of Rose Chintz backed with a piece of Herb Garden. For my snowflake I used the Tim Holtz Paper Snowflakes Thinlit to cut out a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card and adhered it to the card with  a 3D Foam Square. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins! It’s definitely an eclectic mix of goodies and not my usual style but I do like the way it turned out! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Day two of classes with Eileen Hull at the Store was fun! The ladies really enjoyed their projects and she was an excellent teacher! I got a card made and my Parent’s and my friends Marissa and Sandy came by to visit! It was actually a really nice day here too, sunny and not too cold. On the way to the Store in the morning I had to stop by Heather’s and take some pictures of her furniture that she’s selling and send them to her and stop at Aldi to get some creamer. After work I had dinner with my Parent’s and Taylor, Sunday nights have become Chinese food night, I do love some Broccoli and Garlic Sauce! After that I came home and watched a little TV and then spoke to Danielle on the phone for a while. A quick trip to get gas and to Target to get some dog food for Winnie and I was done. Today I have projects to work on and my Concord & 9th order will be in! Loves me some Concord & 9th! 😀

Well, since it’s Monday that means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday challenge…

mojo474

As you will see from today’s card I’m full on obsessed with the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags Set! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Prints Background Stamp in Green Fields onto a piece of Lemon Lime. Across the top is a strip of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. The coffee cup is from that set, the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags Stamp & Cut Combo. I stamped the cup in Grape Juice and the lid in Black, the Coordinating Dies cut them out. The cup is adhered to a piece of Crisp Green that I cut out the the Hero Arts Lia’s Joyful Tidings Tag Set with 3M Foam Tape. I adhered the ornament to the card with more Foam Tape. For my greeting I die cut the merry from the Hero Arts Merry Stamp & Cut Set from more Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb, they are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I heat embossed the Christmas in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Solar White 80lb and flagged the left side. The greeting is then adhered to the card with more Foam Tape. I stamped the stars from the same set in Grape Juice and made one strip into a banner and cut the largest one out. The banner is tucked under the strip of gold across the top and the large one is adhered to the card with still more Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Gold Sequins scattered about and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen added to the large star and the card is finished! I really, really, really do love that coffee cup set, especially in purple! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! I thank you, as always, for beginning another week here with me! Have an awesome Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 472

It was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday morning! I even got to ride to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with the top down in the car! YAY! Around 5:00PM the heavens opened and it poured! Like flood the streets in minutes poured! I did enjoy the day though! Angie was at the store when I got there and Taylor arrived just before 10:00AM. We had a nice day, I had a very productive day, I made four cards! I love to get ahead! I also finished Inferno, what a great book, just like all of his others! I’m looking for other books similar to it so if any of you have any suggestions please share! After work I drove home in the torrential downpour and had dinner with my Parent’s. Then I came to my house and straightened up a bit before running to BJ’s, I was almost out of coffee! The rest of my evening was spent relaxing, I try to make Sunday evenings as calm and peaceful as I can. Today I want to get my Newsletter out and hopefully my Hero order will arrive! Fingers crossed! 😀

Why… I do believe that it’s Monday and you know what that means! Time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

mojo472

I love the little Kelly’s Sets by Hero and I used two different ones on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and for my background I used a piece of Shale. The large partial circle on the left is cut from a piece of Bo Bunny Soiree 12×12 Paper with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I die cut a piece of Silver Glitter Paper also with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and cut a piece of Fun Foam with a smaller one. A little E-Z Runner adheres the Fun Foam to the circle and then to the card. Next up is a flagged strip of Slate adhered to the lower half of the card across the circles. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Kelly’s Warm & Cozy Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black and also cut out with the Infinity Circles. More Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adhere it to the card. The little snowflake is from the Hero Arts Kelly’s S’mitten Stamp & Cut Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Battleship Gray and cut out with the Coordinating Die. Some 3D Foam Squares hold it in place. Of course there had to be sequins! Some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum, Silver and Marshmallow to be precise! A pretty simple card that gets amped up by the heat embossing and the glitter paper! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to visit the BLOG and check out the other Design Team member’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for beginning your week with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Another quick weekend come and gone! It was nice and sunny here yesterday but still cold. I know nothing I can do about that! Renee had her explosion book class at the store and I worked on getting ahead for the week! I made parts for three cards! After work I came home and had dinner with my Parent’s and Taylor. She came back to my house and spent a little time with me… sleeping on the couch! Always good to have a visit with the child. I spent some time in the Stampin’ Galley finishing up the cards that I was working on and also finished the one that I started on Saturday night that I didn’t like. After that I watched Star Wars – The Force Awakens. Today is Newsletter day for me at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. It didn’t happen yesterday! I’m also getting a replenishment from Concord & 9th! My favorite stamp company! 😀

It’s the start of a new week and I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

Today’s card is nice and masculine and would work for a birthday or even a thank you! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Dotted Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut a piece of Shale to cover the entire front of the card. Next I heat embossed the Stampers Anonymous Ledger Script Stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Brass Embossing Powder onto a piece of Battleship Gray. I used the Crate Paper Maggie Holmes Open Book Dies and the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out two pieces. I ran the circle through my Artisan X-plorer again with the Large Dotted Rectangles and adhered it to the card in the lower left corner. The main panel is another piece of Ivory 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Altenew Moon Rock Crisp Ink. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the deer head to the panel with Black 3D Foam Squares. In the upper right is another piece of Battleship Gray with the bottom flagged. I die cut the star from the Concord & 9th Happy Card Frames Dies from more Ivory 110lb and heat embossed them a few times with more Brass Embossing Powder. They are adhered with more 3D Foam Squares and Multi-Matte Medium. I always forget that I have that Ledger Script Stamp, I love text stamps and that one looks so neat heat embossed! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a quick trip over the the Design Team BLOG and check out the rest of the cards there for inspiration! We hope to see yours in the gallery! Thanks for starting your week off with me here on my blog! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Well that weekend flew by! I woke up really late yesterday morning… again. I think that the toothache is wearing me out! I did get to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store on time and managed to get to work as soon as I got in! I got my Newsletter finished and then worked on some projects. I did get a nice surprise visit from my friend Sandy who stopped by to get a few goodies! After work I had dinner with my Parents and then fished up my card for today. I won’t be at the store today as we are saying a final goodbye to Heather’s Dad Arthur. She will have her friends and family there with her. Her memories of him will get her through this difficult time.

On a happier note it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

mojo470

I guess I really like the Concord & 9th Lacy Leaves Set, I just can’t stop using it! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Moonstone Blue, I cut off the top left corner on an angle and then tied a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine around the corner with a bow. The background is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Photopolymer Stamp in Onyx Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and cut it out with my Scissors. The panel is a piece of 48lb Vellum, I heat embossed the Lacy Leaf Stamp in Hero Arts Platinum onto it and then used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Avery Elle Sapphire Pigment Ink to color the Vellum. Across the top is a piece of Silver Glitter Paper with the left side flagged. I cut my greeting out of more of the Silver Glitter Paper and two pieces of Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Die. Some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres them to each other and some Multi-Matte Medium adheres it to the Vellum. I adhered the flagged strip with 3M Foam Tape and then added more Foam Tape to the back of the Vellum behind the flag and greeting to adhere it to the card. One of the small leaves from the set is also heat embossed and cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the flagged strip with more Foam Tape. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Pewter, Sea Breeze and Silver Sequins competes the card. I really do love the Lacy Leaf Set and the Pigment Ink was a cool way to color the Vellum! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to visit the BLOG and get some inspiration from the rest of the Team! We can’t wait to see your card in the gallery! Thanks for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 469

I hope that your weekend was as nice as mine! Yesterday morning Heather and I went to the Deli and had flagels for breakfast before heading over to Valley Stream to pick up her brother. The traffic wasn’t too bad heading into Manhattan but once we got in boy was there a lot! It didn’t take us too long to get to the Javits Center and drop off Russell at Comic-Con. But it took us an hour to get from the Javits Center over to 72nd and Lexington. I got to Jim and Diane’s at 11:00 and Heather had to head back to Valley Stream to stay with her grandmother because they had to take her Dad to the Hospital again. I had a nice visit with Jim and Diane and I got to meet their Daughter Wendy and her daughter too! Around 1:00 I was going to head back to Penn Station when Kim called me and asked if I wanted to meet her for lunch, of course I did! We went to 5 Napkins Burgers and boy were they delicious! The fries were excellent too! After lunch we took a walk over to the Nespresso Store on Madison seeing as the rain finally stopped. We tried a few different kinds of espresso and I bought a few sleeves of pods to take home. I left Kim at 60th and Lexington to get the N back to Penn which took forever to come. Once I got to Penn I had to figure out how I was going to go to get home. There was a derailment on the Ronkonkoma line, the one I usually take, so I had to take a train to Massapequa and have my Parents come and get me. I saw Taylor for a little while when I got home, her mouth is feeling much better. I straightened up a little and made a plan of attack to get the rest of the house cleaned up before calling it a night. Back to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store this morning, I have a bunch of projects to finish!

Monday so it’s time for another Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

mojo469

Today’s card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, the front is covered in a piece of Herb Garden. I used the Concord & 9th with Simon Says Stamp Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set for all of my images and greeting. The outline image is stamped in Altenew Dark Chocolate Ink onto a piece of Kraft to create my background. Next up is a piece of 48lb Vellum that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circle Stackables Lawn Cuts. A panel and a strip with the end flagged of Dark Molasses is added next. My greeting from the set is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto more Herb Garden and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped the pinecones twice using my Mini MISTI and more Dark Chocolate Ink to get the layers perfectly aligned. They are cut out with the Coordinating Die. One is adhered to the top after being trimmed and the other next to the greeting, both with 3D Foam Squares. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Mossy Green and Rose Gold Sequins to complete the card. I love the way that you can get a nice layered look with just the one ink color and the set is definitely a favorite of mine! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and add your card to the gallery! I really enjoyed my weekend and hope that you did too! Yesterday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store we had our first Hand Lettering Class taught by the lovely Paula Andrea! I took the class and learned the basics, included in the class is an excellent workbook so we can all practice, and I’m going to need a lot! If you want to see some of Paula’s work you can find her on Instagram HERE! She was an excellent teacher and we can’t wait to have her back! After work I came home and saw my little buddy Daniel at my Parent’s for a bit before heading over to pick up Kim so that we could go to Govenor’s Comedy Club for the Fire Department Fundraiser. We met up with Brian and I got to see my friends Mike and Michelle who I haven’t seen in ages! It was nice to catch up with them! The last comedian of the night, Mick Thomas, was hysterical! I think that the Irish accent made him even funnier! What a nice way to end the weekend!

And it’s Monday so that means that I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

mojo468

Of course I had to play with a new Mama Elephant set! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of paper from the Echo Park Wintertime 12×12 Collection. For the band across the lower half I used the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to trim off the lower part of a piece of Gold Mirror Card and added a strip of Echo Park This & That 12×12 Paper across it before adhering it to the card. That super cute “Charlie Brown” tree is from the new Mama Elephant O’ Tiny Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the trunk and branches in Dark Chocolate Crisp Ink and colored in the image with Copics. The pine needles are stamped in Evergreen Crisp Ink. My lights and string are heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder, the ornament hook in Platinum and the ornament in Gold. I colored in the lights and ornament in with Copics and added a generous dose of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the ornament. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black. I used my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper to round the corners and adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Up in the left corner is a piece of Black 110lb adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I hand cut the tag from more Gold Mirror Card and then added a Natural Twine bow to it before adhering it to the card with a Glue Dot. I’m totally in love with the little tree! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the Design Team BLOG to see more inspiration and add your card to the gallery!
