I had an actual lazy Sunday! I stayed in bed late, didn’t really do much of anything but watch TV. Taylor came by for a little while after she got off of work. I did make a card for today and that was my day. Today I will be spending lots of time in front of the computer, my to-do list just keeps getting longer! πŸ˜€

I felt like doing a little ink blending yesterday and thats where this card started. I did that ink blending on a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock with Hero Arts Navy, Grape Juice and Charcoal Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spattered with Heidi Swapp White and Tinsel Color Shine and dried with my Heat Tool. I used the Hero Arts Milky Way Fancy Die to cut out a piece of Shadow Curious Metallic Card Stock and as I was taking out the middle I thought that it would actually look pretty cool on the card instead of the outside. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the die cut and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. For some sparkly stars I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and that finished the card. I actually do love the inside of the die cut galaxy. It looks like a swirly space oddity! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off with me! Have an absolutely awesome Monday! πŸ™‚

Fab Friday 119

Fab Friday 119

It’s Friday already?! That was another quick week! I had a fun day with my friend Sue. We worked on Etsy stuff and went out to have some lunch. There was a little stop at Marshall’s before we headed back to her house to finish up a little more stuff before I headed home. Last night we had Thirsty Thursday at Heather’s. Stephanie was there and Taylor stopped by for a few. This morning, more things to cross off my to-do list! πŸ˜€

It’s a Fab FridayΒ week and we have a fun sketch for you…

I got my August My Monthly Hero Kit and had to have a little play! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I used the large die from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a piece of Black 110lb. The little boy on the moon is heat embossed in Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Black 110lb and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I adhered the large Black die cut to the card with Black 3D Foam Squares and the boy on the moon with E-Z Runner. My greeting is also from the set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I flagged the right side and used a few more Black 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to the card. For some more sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the August Hero Kit, so much fun! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll be back on a little while with another post for you! Until then have a fabulous Friday morning! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

Another fun filled Monday! LOL! I did get some things done and helped out a few friends in the morning too! We had an extra early Thirsty Thursday last night over at Heather’s! Stephanie was there and George joined us too! We always have such a good time laughing and catching up! This morning I have to get working on my to-do list for the week! I have been putting off way too much stuff! πŸ˜€

So it’s Tuesday and what does that mean?! Well, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I’m always looking for a reason to use that Eiffel Tower Die from Hero and this seemed like the perfect opportunity! To start my card I die cut the Hero Arts PaperLayering Eiffel Tower from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used a die from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a plane from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock. They are positioned onto a piece of Black 110lb so that I knew where to heat emboss my sentiment, also from the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit, in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The black panel is adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then the Eiffel Tower and plane are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It needed a little more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins! I do really love that Eiffel Tower and the plane too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have an excellent Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Quick Thank You X 2!

Quick Thank You X 2!

I’m still on lake time! What a nice weekend! Yesterday we went for a nice long walk in the morning and visited the falls. I’m having issues getting pictures uploaded so I’ll share more of them on Monday with you. We also wandered around a few antique stores and went for ice cream after dinner! I have to tell you that it’s very nice to type my post with that lovely view of the lake! πŸ˜€

Today I have two really simple thank you cards to share with you! The greetings and hearts are from the May 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped them in Lime Green and Tide Pool, alternating the colors so that they had a bit more interest. To step them up a little bit I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins from the Share Kindness Mix, that’s it! Really simple cards but who wouldn’t want to get one in the mail?! I hope that you like today’s cards! Thanks for stopping by! Have an amazing Saturday! πŸ™‚

Fab Friday 115

I’m a little late this morning because I’m on country time! After my fun morning in the city yesterday I took the train out to Rockville Center and Jim picked me up at the station. We stopped back at his house, picked up the bags and headed for Waymart, PA. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get here but was well worth the ride! This is my current view this morning…

It so peaceful and relaxing here, I can see why Jim likes is so much. We went down by the lake for a bit and just sat there…

Last night we sat by the fire pit and just looked up at the stars, you forget how many there are because out here you can see them all! Today, who knows but I’m sure it will be fun! πŸ˜€

Now I have a little bit of craftiness to share with you in the way of my card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge…

I used the June My Monthly Hero Kit again! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Dies to cut out a piece of Hello Honey for my background. On top of that is a strip of Mossy Meadow with the ends flagged and then a really thin strip of Black. My images and greeting are from the June My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Black onto a piece of Tangelo Twist and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra. That’s it! A nice simple card and I love those solid images! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to visit the Team BLOG and see the rest of the cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for sharing in some of my day! Have a fabulous Friday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 249

Paper Craft Crew 249

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! We did have a very nice day here yesterday with lots of sun! I spent most of the day with Sue working on Etsy stuff. We went to Panera for lunch and I had my grilled cheese and tomato soup! In the evening Jim came by and I made us some nice big salads with grilled chicken, olives, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, croutons and blue cheese dressing. Taylor came by and chatted with us for a bit and we finished the evening off with a few YouTube videos. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done! I found out that I will be away for the weekend! WEE! πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I was going through my stamps and came across this old but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wave Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply some Tide Pool Ink to the lower left. Across the lower part is a piece of Copper Tape. My circle is cut from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts July 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the coral and jellyfish in Tide Pool and did the second layer of the jellyfish in Copper Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the circle. My greeting is heat embossed onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with White Hero Arts Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and done! I still love that jellyfish, makes for a nice different image on a card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wondrous Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Huge Thanks

Huge Thanks

Hey there! Happy Saturday to you! We had a rainy drizzly day here yesterday. I spent most of it in the house watching TV, it was just one of those kinds of days. I did go over and have dinner with my Parents and later on in the evening Taylor came by and we watched Dr. Strange. Today I’m off to Manhattan again this time to see my friend Kim! Should be a good day! πŸ˜€

My card that I have to share with you today uses the June My Monthly Hero Kit! I used my MISTI to repeatedly stamp some of the elephants in Wet Cement onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock along with a larger one onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The single elephant is cut out with the Coordinating Die. I stamped the grass along the bottom to even out the card. The sunset die is used to cut out a piece of Orange Vellum and I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left. The large elephant is adhered to the Vellum with 3M Foam Tape and then the vellum to the card with Vellum Adhesive. I love the outlines of all of the elephants, especially the big one in front of the sunset! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for visiting! Have a super Saturday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 103 – A Sketch!

SIP Challenge 103 – A Sketch!

Another nice warm day with plenty of Sun! That’s a good way to start off the week, wouldn’t you say?! I got my craft on this morning and made a few cards, cleaned a little and set up some appointments for later in the week. I also made sure that I spent a lot of time outside enjoying the gorgeous day! After dinner I ran over to Heather’s to drop off the chairs that I borrowed. When I got back to my house Taylor stopped by for a bit and then some TV before bed. Not a bad Monday at all! πŸ˜€

I played with the new Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit and some of the add-ons for my Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge card…

I started my card by creating a background using some Hero Arts Navy and Grape Juice Ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool to add color to a piece of Solar White 80lb. While it dried I cut out the circle with clouds from another piece of Solar White 80lb using one of the dies included in the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit. Next I stamped the grass and tall grass using some Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto the background and then adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a little Soft Granite to the edges of my “moon” and then adhered that to the background. The cool cat is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bengal Tigers Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Butter to Orange Ombre and Intense Black using my Mini MISTI. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out and adhered him to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Intense Black onto the “moon” and the card is done! I love the way the Hero Arts Inks even out as they dry, even when you blend them onto paper! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! We hope that you will share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 101 – Graduation!

SIP Challenge 101 – Graduation!

Hello peeps! How was your Memorial Day? We had a rainy overcast day, not great for any outdoor activities! I spent the day doing some things around the house and then in the afternoon Jim stopped by for a visit! We watched a little TV and I got to see some pictures from the party over the weekend. I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then watched some TV. Today I’m going to get some crafty things done and then send out some emails. It’s going to be a busy productive day! πŸ˜€

So Tuesday huh?! That means that it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Graduation! I don’t know anyone that is graduating so I decided to go with a more generic card! I started by stamping the cheers from the Hero Arts December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit multiple times onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock using my MISTI and Hero ArtsΒ Sof Pink, Bubble Gum, Pale Tomato, Red Royal and Raspberry Jam Ink. The middle cheers is cut out with the Coordinating Die along with two more pieces of Solar White 110lb. I adhered them to each other and to the inside of the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My second greeting is stamped in Red Royal on the inside under the die cut. To give the card a little sparkle I coated the die cut cheers with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the front! It’s a pretty simple card that gets a little step up from the die cut cheers! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Graduation Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Oyster & Pearl – Hero Arts

Oyster & Pearl – Hero Arts

Well, it rained all day yesterday just as they promised so I had myself a crafty day! I also got a few movies in too. It’s Mother’s Day today so Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Mom’s out there! I hope that you will be spending the day with your loved ones! I’ll be seeing my Mum and maybe the kiddies too!

I had this card in my head for a while and it finally came together yesterday! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front in Heidi Swapp Gold, Bronzer, Navy and Teal Color Shine and set it aside to dry. My oyster is from the Hero Arts May My Monthly Hero Kit, I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the oyster out with the Coordinating Frame Cut and the greeting with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The oyster is adhered to the Vellum and to the card with 3M Foam Tape. To give it a little more sparkle I added some Sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Nautical, Platinum and Brushed Gold Mixes and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the pearl. A nice simple card with a really neatΒ greeting! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you very much for spending some of your day with me! Have a fantastic Sunday! πŸ™‚
