SIP Challenge 3 – Inspiration

Monday is such a shock after a really nice weekend! LOL! Work was busy but bearable. I tackled the radio in the Saab after work and with a little help from Dad got it all straightened out. It’s good to have my bluetooth back and my music from my iPhone! Sometimes it’s the little conveniences that make all the difference! After I had finished with the car I came in and Skyped with Andrea while I worked on a few projects. Later I ran to Target to get 1/2 & 1/2 and left with $50 worth of stuff, does that happen to everyone or is it just me?! I hoping that it happens to everyone! LOL!

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have an inspiration photo from Andrea…

AT Inspiration Challenge 4

The picture was actually taken at her wedding! My card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, the front is covered in a piece of paper from the Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper Pack. I stamped the leaves from the Awesomely Artistic Stamp Set in Pear Pizzaz on Watercolor Paper and then used a Waterbrush to pull the color in from the edges and fill in the leaves. Yes, I did fussy cut the image! The flowers are from the Something to Say Stamp Set and are stamped in Blushing Bride and the same technique is done to them. I used the Flower from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack to punch them out and then adhered them with Glue Dots and placed a Basic Jewel Pearl in the middle of each one. A strip of 1 1/4″ Burlap Ribbon and a piece of Blushing Bride are flagged and adhered to the card with Tear and Tape Adhesive. I stamped the greeting from the Floral Wings Host Stamp Set in Pear Pizzaz before I adhered it. The cluster of leaves and flowers is adhered to the card with more Glue Dots. Love that cluster of leaves with the flowers, and it really wasn’t that hard to cut out! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Inspiration Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s inspiration cards and then add yours to the gallery! I hope that you will take some time and play along! Thanks very much for coming by to see me today, enjoy your Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 2 – A Sketch from Me!

What a beautiful day it was here yesterday! In the 80’s with plenty of sun! An actual summer day! Work was busy, a typical Monday. I came home and had dinner, Skyped with Andrea while I made a card and then just vegged for the rest of the evening. A nice quiet way to end the day!

Today it’s time for the second Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! I want to thank everyone that participated in the first one, what an amazing collection of cards we had in the gallery! Now on to this week’s which is a sketch from me…

SIP Sketch Challenge 2

One of my favorite layouts! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Basic Black to the front with SNAIL. The main panel is a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb, down the left side is some of the map washi tape from Michaels along with the road one that comes with it. I adhered the panel to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. My tag is cut from another piece of Neenah 80lb with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Dies. I stamped the image from the Guy Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and the greeting is from the “Vintage” Sale-A-Bration Set Big Day stamped in Real Red. Before I adhered the tag I took a Memento Tuxedo Black Marker and edged it to give it a little more definition. A piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Twine is tied though the top and then it’s adhered to the card with more SNAIL and Fun Foam. Three Recollections Enamel Dots complete the card. I love that map washi tape, especially paired with the card from the Guy Greetings set! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery for a chance to be a pick for this week. Maybe you will even get audience favorite! Thanks so much for stopping by today! I wish you all a very happy Tuesday! 🙂

Welcome to Stamp, Ink, Paper!!!!

An extra happy Monday to you! I had a rough start yesterday, lesson learned, but the rest of the day was nice. I went over and hung out with Brain and Kim for a bit and then came home and worked on some projects. I had a lot to get done this weekend in preparation for today’s announcement! I have been toying with the idea of starting my own challenge blog. I love playing along with all of the challenges that I do each week and seeing all of the amazing cards and projects that are submitted. I had fun being the co-captain on Can You Case It with my friend Eva. Since I already had a talented bunch of people Eva and I decided that I could take some of my team and move forward with my little project. So today marks the very first Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge!

SIP Header

I’m excited to be able to do this and I couldn’t have done it without the help of the rest of the Design Team! We have added a few new faces and there are some that you know from CYCI. We thought that we would start things off with a nice easy challenge, Getting to Know You! Make a card using your favorite Stamps, Ink and Paper! Whatever style you like! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! To make sure that there is enough time for everyone to participate this challenge will run for two weeks! Some of our Design Team is also giving away blog candy so make sure and go to the SIP Challenge Site and visit the other designers! We are also giving you the ability to vote for your favorites! Make sure that you cast your vote and the person with the most votes at the end of the challenge will be featured as our Audience Pick!

So without further ado here is the new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Any Challenge 1

I actually made a few cards for this but when I thought about what kind of card is my favorite I had to go with a college card! This one was inspired by one that I saw on Pinterest a while back. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Two layers, one of Neenah 80lb and one of Pink Pirouette, are adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. On top of that is a piece of Vellum that I heat embossed the Hero Arts Large Notebook Paper Background Stamp with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The wreath is from the Your Perfect Day Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder and cut out with a die from DiesByDave. I adhered some of the pearls that Mr. Trent sent me with Thermo-Web Bling Glue Dots. The heart is a piece of red felt from Michaels and is cut out with the Hearts Collection Framelits and adhered with Glue Dots. For the flowers I used some Pink Pirouette and Watermelon Wonder with the Tim Holtz Tiny Tattered Florals Dies, they are also adhered with Glue Dots. One of the Subtles Collection Designer Buttons has a piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Twine tied in a bow and it’s adhered with another Glue Dot. A few Hazel & Ruby The Makery Shine & Sparkle Sequins and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered with Crystal Effects. The stamped greeting is from the Crazy About You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Tip Top Taupe. The you is a piece of Pink Pirouette cut out with the Simon Says Stamp You Craft Die and adhered with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. Phew! That’s a lot of stuff! LOL! I love the roses and the addition of the felt to the card, the wreath, well you know how I feel about that! So there is my first card for the NEW Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge blog! I really hope that you enjoyed it and that you will go over and see what the rest of the talented Design Team has to inspire you! We would love to see one of your creations in the gallery too! Thank you so much for coming by to see me and making my days brighter with your comments and visits! Have an absolutely amazing Monday my friends! 🙂
