Paper Player 377

That was a quick weekend but a really good one! Saturday I spent the day at Jim’s. We finished putting away the Christmas lights, organized the garage and cooked a ton of food for the week! Yesterday I went into Manhattan to spend the day with Kim. I got in around 10:00AM and got a parking space right away! We had brunch and then walked around for a bit. She ended up getting a new rug for the living room and we also managed to get her much more organized! I took her old 8×10 rug, you should have seen me trying to cram that thing in my car! LOL! We finished the evening off with some Thai food and I was home by 9:00! This morning I had a few things to take care of and I have laundry to do. I switched days with my parents so I’ll have Daniel and Tristan tomorrow! ๐Ÿ˜€

I saw this week’s challenge over on the Paper Players and had to make a card for it…

To start the card I used my Mini MISTI and the Concord & 9th Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the large LOVE image in Peachy Keen. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and set aside. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped some of the images from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal. I love the Coordinating Dies that go with the set so I used them to cut out some Pink Vellum. Onto the back of the LOVE I added Fun Foam, positioned the die cuts and then adhered the LOVE with E-Z Runner. A pretty simple card that with a slightly masculine twist! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you so much for starting your week off with a visit here! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello friends and a happy Martin Luther King Day to you! A Monday is always better when it’s a Holiday!! I had a nice weekend and hope that you all did too! On Saturday Jim and I drove up to the lake house in PA to check on the work that was done, not very happy with it so I emailed the contractor and told him what needed to be fixed. It was incredibly cold but so beautiful there! Really great to get to see the place in the winter!

We stopped and had dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way home, not as good as we had remembered! Yesterday we painted his Mother’s den a nice grayish blue color. That was an all day project, the cutting in and trim takes such a long time! Today I will be recovering from using all of those muscles that I never do! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

I squeezed in a quick card this morning for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Whenever I’m feeling a lack of Mojo I always grab some solid image stamps and create a stamped background. It also lets me get some more use out my neglected sets! Onto a panel of Solar White 80lb I stamped the greeting and images from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. The greeting is stamped in Charcoal and the images in Stone Wash, Lemon Yellow, Bubble Gum and Antigua. I adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon and Lemon Drop Sequins. A simple a fun card to let someone know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy last week of November?! Where on earth did this year go?!?! I hope that you all had a nice weekend and that if you shopped on Black Friday that you came out of it unscathed and with some great bargains! My weekend was not what I expected at all! Friday I was over Jim’s all day. We decorated his house for Christmas. He put up four trees!! Three full size ones and a small one. The house looks amazing, it’s just enough and so festive! On Saturday we decided that we would go over to an animal shelter in Freeport. I met him there and we looked at two dogs. The second one, a little Yorkie, was so cute. She was very friendly and we liked her a lot. Before I knew it we were bringing the owner back to my house for a home visit. In the car on the way back she called and told them to get the paperwork together. When we got back to the shelter Jim paid the fee for her and said Merry Christmas! So I’m happy to share a picture of the newest addition to my family, Cali…

Isn’t she just the cutest?! She is really good in the car and seems to have adjusted well to my house. I have taken her all over with me and she has been good as gold. I’m going to take her over to Jim’s to meet his dogs this week. I miss my Winston so much but I think he would have liked her a lot and would be happy that I get to share my time with her now! ๐Ÿ˜€

Let’s start the week off with a card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I finally received my November release from Concord & 9th after the Post Office had lost it for a week! I always end up using the set that I thought I wouldn’t first too! LOL! I stamped the bear from the Concord & 9th Hi There Bear Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice using my Mini MISTI. I added the piece that makes him a panda and put a little Black Glaze Pen on his eyes. The background is stamped in Jalapeรฑo and cut it out with my Scissors. I stamped the balloon in Black Licorice and Sugarplum and the string is stamped on the background. The bear and ballon are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. On a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the distressed line from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice. The background is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the bear and balloon with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hi There Bear Set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I trimmed it out and added it to the card with more 3M Foam Tape. A few dots of Sugarplum added with my Stylus finishes the card! Isn’t that bear just too cute?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for sharing your Monday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day! ๐Ÿ™‚

Well hello there and a happy Monday to you! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, I certainly did! Saturday Jim and I did a little Christmas shopping and then headed over to my Brother’s house for Daniel’s 4th Birthday Party! Can you imagine that he is 4 already?! Here is a picture of the Birthday boy with his little sister…

They are just too damn cute! Daniel was a big fan of Jim, he spent the better part of a half hour hitting him with a ballon which he thought was absolutely hysterical!! We got him tickets to go and see Monster Jam in February, Jim is going to bring his Nephew too. Yesterday I did a few things in the morning, Jim stopped by on his way to a party over by my house for a quick visit. Later on Taylor came by and we watched some TV to finish the day. This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and then Sue is supposed to stop by and pick up some stuff from me! ๐Ÿ˜€

To start off the week I have a card to share with you for the Paper Players challenge…

I dug out an old set that is still one of my favorites! I stamped the pinecones from the Simon Says Stamp with Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Brown, Cup O Joe and Sand to Chocolate Brown Ombre Ink using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Die. My background is stamped in Moss Hybrid Ink using the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped the lines in Delicata Celestial Copper Pigment Ink and then used my Heat Tool to make sure they were dry. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Cozy Christmas Set and is stamped in Moss Hybrid on a strip of Solar White 80lb. I used some 3M Foam Tape to adhere to pinecones and greeting to the card and it’s done! I love those pinecones and that plaid background is definitely becoming a favorite too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for starting you week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello friends. I missed my post on Friday because I woke up and found my little friend Winston had passed away in the night. I miss him so much. I can’t remember a time that he hasn’t been around. I was lucky enough to have spent 16 years with my best friend. It really is true, your furry friends become a part of the family and the loss leaves a big empty space. Heather came over on Friday and spent the day with me working from my house. I managed to keep myself busy over the weekend. I spent the morning at Jim’s on Saturday and then we went to dinner and watched a few episodes of The Fall. Yesterday I was at the Glam Slam Fundraiser and that was a lot of fun! I ran into someone that I used to work with at Pergament back when I was 18!! Such a small world. ๐Ÿ˜€

To start off the week I have my card for the Paper Players challenge…

One of my favorite challenges! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. My tree is cut from another piece of Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Die. I used the lights from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set and WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder on my die cut tree and then adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die with more Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. Some more 3M Foam Tape adheres that to the tree and the card is done. I do love a white on white card, you can do so much with a little dimension! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for coming by to see me on a Monday! Have a great day! ๐Ÿ™‚

A very good Monday to you all! I hope that you enjoyed the rest of your weekend! I had a nice Sunday despite the gloomy weather which has continued today. Some cleaning was done in the morning and then a few errands. I finished off the day by heading over to Jim’s and finishing up a few projects, we hung the TV on the wall and I set up a new router to make the internet a little better and much faster! This morning I have a lot of stuff to get done for the Fundraiser this Sunday. The weather definitely makes it a good day to sit in front of the computer! ๐Ÿ˜€

To start off the week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I have had the Sunny Studios Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set since last year and I never had the chance to use it so I decided that it was high time that it saw some ink! I started by stamping the bells in Hippo and Black Licorice for the first two layers using my Mini MISTI. For the third layer I heat embossed them with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the greeting in Black Licorice and the pine branches in Noble Fir, Jalapeรฑo and Freshly Cut Grass. The bells are adhered to the card and the hooks are stamped in Black Licorice and that completes the card! I do love a layering set and this one is definitely going to be a favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks so much for staring another week off with me! Enjoy your Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi there my friends and a happy Monday to you from rainy Long Island! I had a very nice weekend starting on Friday by picking up Jim’s new couch and setting it up in his den. Saturday he came by and we worked on the kitchen cabinets. It’s a lot more work than I originally anticipated but he was a huge help and we got a lot done! Still a lot more to go but we’ll get there! Yesterday was rainy and windy, one of those sit on the couch and watch TV kind of days. This morning I’ll be heading over to see Heather for a bit, can’t wait to get out of the house! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

I got up this morning and made my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I went down the first column! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Tropical Sea cut to 4″ wide. I stamped the dots from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set In Yeti Ink. The tree is cut from Silver Glitter Card using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Dies. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of 65lb Vellum. I adhered the tree to the background and then the Vellum around the back before adding it to my card base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finish the card! Teal and Silver make a pretty nice holiday combo and I love that big sparkly tree! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for staring your week off here with me! Have an awesome Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hello! I hope that you all had a nice weekend! Mine was great! Saturday I went over to Jim’s and we worked on some projects, fishing the last of the chairs and putting legs on the end table that we made, along with a few others. I had to go and pick up Taylor from the train around midnight, she said that she had a wonderful time in Massachusetts and can’t wait to go back! Yesterday I did a little cleaning and then Jim stopped by in the evening for a bit and we watched some more of Ozark. This morning I’m playing catch up on a few things, it’s a Monday for sure! ๐Ÿ˜€

I’m staring the week off with my card for the Paper Players challenge! But before I get to that I want to thank Laurie for choosing me as her headliner for last week’s challenge! You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE. Now for this week they have a sketch…

Hero Arts had a little sale last week and I couldn’t resist! Sometimes I have the idea for the card in my little brain and this is what my desk looked like when I started my card…

To start I stamped the squirrel from the Hero Arts Color Layering Squirrel Photopolymer Stamp Set in Wet Cement, Soft Granite and Charcoal using my Mini MISTI. The peanut is stamped in Wet Cement and Cup O Joe. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out. Next I used my Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp to stamp a piece of Desert Storm 80lb in Wet Cement, a piece of Smoky Slate with Soft Granite and a piece of Basic Gray with Charcoal. The Desert Storm piece is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I flagged the end of the Smoky Slate piece and added that and then heat embossed a greeting from the set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the Basic Gray piece and added that. My squirrel and peanuts are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! I love that squirrel! I think this would make a fun masculine card, maybe even for a birthday! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for beginning another week with me! Have an absolutely awesome Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

My apologies for my absence over the weekend! I was over Jim’s on Friday night until late and then over there again all day on Saturday. We got a ton accomplished including decorating the house for Halloween! He has a lot of stuff but we did pare it down a bit. Yesterday I had the pleasure of going into Manhattan to see my friends Jim and Diane in the morning and then from there I went over and saw Kim. We set up her new iPhone and robot vacuum. She asked me if was interested in a robot vacuum and I said oh no, I love to vacuum! LOL! Taylor had to borrow my car again yesterday so she picked me up from the train, we hung out for a bit and then I finished the evening by making today’s card and watching a little TV! I have a bunch of stuff to follow up on this morning and a few projects to get through, maybe some cabinet stripping if there is time! ๐Ÿ˜€

I love this week’s Paper Players challenge, I knew just what I wanted to make as soon as I saw it…

To start I pulled out the Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Kit and stamped the sunflower in Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie, Just Rust and Cup O Joe. My leaves are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped with the Hero Arts Ombre Autumn Pad. The leaves and sunflower are then all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. For my card base I adhered a piece of Desert Storm 80lb to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My wreath is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Hero Arts Branch Wreath Fancy Die and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I added the sunflower and leaves with E-Z Runner and 3M Foam Tape. All that was left to do was stamp the greeting in Cup O Joe and the card is done! I love the leaves paired with the sunflower, I think it makes for a lovely fall cluster! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Theme Challenge from Sandy! Thank you for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚
