Miss You Painted Peony Slimline

Happy Saturday peeps! I’m back with another card using some newish products from Concord & 9th. I have to say that I’m really liking the new slimline and mini slimline card sizes! It’s nice to make something other than an A2 card!

I used the Concord & 9th Painted Peonies Stamp Set and my Misti to stamp the flowers and leaves in Concord & 9th Ballet Slipper, Grapefruit, Honeysuckle, Poppy, Cranberry, Buttercup, Stardust, Sprout, Parsley, Clover and Evergreen Ink. The coordinating Concord & 9th Painted Peonies Dies are used to cut them out. I added them to a card base that is 8 1/2 by 7, scored at 3 1/2 and folded. For the greeting I choose the miss you from the Concord & 9th Big on You Stamp Set. It’s stamped in Gina K Black Amalgam Ink and cut out with the coordinating Concord & 9th Big on You Dies. I stamped the companion greeting in the same ink and trimmed it out with my Paper Trimmer. The greetings are added to the card with Foam Tape.

I decided to make a coordinating envelope so I got out my Pinkfresh Essentials Slimline Envelope Dies and some Recollections 65lb Black Paper. I really am loving making Slimline cards! It’s so nice to have a different shape to be creative with! Thanks for taking a little time out of your day to visit with me! Have a wonderful weekend!

All the Feels Foiled Butterflies

Well hello there! It’s been a minute or few years since I have posted anything to my blog. I sort of lost my Mojo after I stopped working in the retail store and I got busy with other things then the Pandemic hit. You would think that I would have taken some of the time spent in lockdown to be a little creative but the craft closet was also apparently on lockdown along with my creativity.

Recently I took some time to venture into my creative space and clean it out a little. There have also been a few new products that peaked my interest and I began purchasing crafty supplies again. I made a few things and then the other day I went over to spend some time in my friend Sue’s craft room. To call it a craft room really sells it short! There is so much stuff in there to play with it’s hard not to get inspired. That’s where I came up with this card. Hopefully it’s the start of me getting back to something that I used to love and do every day!

I started by using the Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and some Crafter’s Companion Gold Foil along with the Gemini Hot Foil Press to foil the butterflies onto Neenah Solar White 80lb Cardstock. After running it through the Gemini Jr. I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Stencil to add color to the butterflies. The inks are Ocean Breeze, Soft Lilac, Sparkling Rose and Candy Violet also from Pinkfresh. They are cut out with the coordinating one piece Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Die. My background is stamped in Pinkfresh Grassy Knoll using the Pinkfresh Diamond Tiles Cling Stamp. For the clouds I used Pinkfresh Sky Blue Ink and the Pinkfresh Cloud Builder Stencil applied with a Blending Brush. My greeting is from The Stamp Market Gorgeous Greetings Stamp Set and is stamped in Altenew Obsidian Pigment Ink. I adhered the background to a top-folding card base with Tape Runner and the added the butterflies with Foam Tape. For a little more shine I added a few Pinkfresh Gold Metallic Pearls with Bearly Arts Glue.

I loved the hot foiling and the stencils made coloring the butterflies fun and simple! I also love the greeting and thought it went well with all of the butterflies. I hope that you enjoyed my card and thanks so much for taking the time to read today’s post! Have a wonderful Wednesday and I hope to be back soon with another project!

Celebrate Balloons

Starting off the week with a smile! Is there any other way to do it?! I had a wonderful weekend! I was over at Jim’s again yesterday and we finished the end table and the chairs! We are really happy with the way they came out! I called the chairs Shipwreck Chic because we power washed them to get the four layers of paint off and it really distressed the wood! You can see the before and after…

We also finished watching Stranger Things, I’ll have to find a new series for us to watch now! I have a ton of stuff to get accomplished today! It’s a Monday for sure! 😀

Another simple card for you today! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added two pieces of paper from the Pinkfresh Studios Indigo Hills 6×6 Paper. The top one is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My balloons are from the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Fresh Peach. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card with more E-Z Runner. I do love to use sequins to fill in some of the white space on my cards so I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear ones today! I love that PinkFresh Paper, so nice and thick and the balloons are just fun! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 251

Yup, I had a nice productive day with my friend Sue yesterday! We got a lot of things done! I had a really quick dinner with my Parent’s when I got home and then headed over to see Heather. She had to go for an eye exam so I took the ride and then we hung out at her house for a bit. A little trip to Target before calling it a night and that was my day! I’ll be spending some time in front of the computer today playing catchup today! Fun! 😀

So, it’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I have to be honest, it took me a while to find something new! When you make a card a day like I do you tend to use all of your goodies as soon as you get them! I found a Pinkfresh Studio Set that I hadn’t inked up so I used it to make a super simple card! To start I stamped my greeting From the Pinkfresh Studio So Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock. The squares are stamped next in Jet Black and the outlined ones are colored in with my Copic R27 Marker. The ink spots are also stamped in Jet Black and for a little interest I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets over some of them with Multi-Matte Medium. That’s it! Super simple with some pops of color! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 263

I got a nice surprise at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! My little buddy Daniel came by to see me with my Parents! We ran around the store and took rides in my chair! How I love that little guy! He told my Parents that I would be very happy to see him and he was right! Renee was off yesterday and I had my two Card Classes so it was a busy day! My friend Deborah stopped by the store and I made my card for today. After the night class I headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday with her and Stephanie. I stopped and picked up Wendy’s for dinner, not the best choice but it’s cheap and yummy! Today I have two more Card Classes and a lot of stuff to get done, but I do love every minute of it! 😀

My card that I have to share with you today uses some new goodies from Pinkfresh Studio and is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

freshly-made-sketches-263

The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and across the bottom half is a piece of Pinkfresh Studio Happy Things Doodle Border 12×12 Paper. I stamped all of my images and greeting from the Pinkfresh Studio Late Nights Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp them so they are nice and bold. I colored in some of the images with Copics and then used the Hero Arts Infinity Circle Dies to cut them out. A Memento Tuxedo Black Marker is used to edge the circles before I adhered them to the card with Fun Foam that I also cut out with the Infinity Circles Dies, the adhesive is some E-Z Runner. A healthy dose of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and a little Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Glitter Pen and the card is done! I love the images from the Late Nights Stamp Set, so neat and different! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for coming by today to see me! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 430

Thanks for the feedback on the new blog design! I appreciate your comments! The biggest complaint was the header scrolling down and covering up some of the page so I have changed it so that it stays at the top! I hope that makes it easier for the mobile devices! Yesterday it rained all day so I was crafty in the morning! Best kind of day to do that! Around noon my friend Maureen came by and picked me up, we went to McDonald’s for lunch. I haven’t had McDonald’s in years! From there it was off to Stop & Shop to do some grocery shopping. We dropped them off at her house and then came back to my house and took down the Christmas tree. I kept it up as long as I could! LOL! After we finished with that we watched Juno, I forgot how funny that movie was! She left around 5:00 and I went and had some dinner. Back home to Skype with Eva for a bit and that was my Sunday! I’ll be over at Scrap-A-Latte for the day today and tomorrow, Renee will be back on Wednesday with loads of info from CHA!

What better way to start another week than with a new Mojo Monday sketch?! Here is this week’s…

Mojo430

I used one of my favorite sets from Simon that now has coordinating dies! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images and greetings are from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the heart on a piece of Real Red with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and cut out with the coordinating die. The panel down the left side is a piece of paper form the PinkFresh Studios Christmas Wishes 6×6 Paper Pad. I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL tucking the heart under it. Across the top is a piece of Real Red with the left side flagged. I heat embossed the i see you in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with SNAIL and more Fun Foam. The speech bubble is stamped in Simon Says Stamp Cloudy Sky Ink and cut out with the coordinating die, some Foam Tape holds it in place. The Vellum square has the greeting heat embossed again in Hero Arts White. My glasses are heat embossed in more Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Black 110lb and along with the ampersand which is stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black, are both cut out with the coordinating dies and adhered to the vellum with Foam Tape. I hid the adhesive behind the glasses to adhere the vellum to  the card. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Red Sequins complete the card! I really do love that set, especially the glasses and heart! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! SIP Challenge 26 – A Sketch from Maggie!

It was another really nice day here yesterday! I’m liking their forecast that we are to have a warm December! Hopefully that will carry into January, February and March as well! I had a very productive day yesterday! I was at my friend Sue’s most of the day working on some listings for Etsy. I spoke to Michael for a bit and then headed back home to have some dinner with the ‘rents! After dinner I came home and puttered around the house for a bit and then watched a movie. Today I’m going to be productive again and get some little errands done that I have been putting off and spend some quality time in the Stampin’ Galley too!

Today is Tuesday and it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a sketch from Maggie…

SIP Sketch Challenge 26 800

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel on the card is a shaker… shocker! LOL! I used the Simon Says Stamp Snowflake Block Die to cut out a piece of Solar White 110lb and the center from a piece of Smoky Slate. A piece of Acetate is adhered to the back of the Smoky Slate with Scor-Tape and the snowflake panel is adhered to the acetate in the cut out with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Two layers of Foam Tape around the back make a nice well for my shaker material. I added some “Vintage” Frosted Sequins and Silver Seed Beads before adhering a piece of Night of Navy to the back. Three banners, also cut form Night of Navy, are adhered to the card with SNAIL and then the shaker is adhered with more Scor-Tape. My greeting is from the PinkFresh Studios Christmas Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Silver Embossing Powder on Vellum. I flagged the left side of the Vellum and adhered it to the card with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. As simple as a shaker can get! I’m still loving that Snowflake Block Die and the great blue, white and grey color combo! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper sketch challenge from Maggie! Make sure an stop by the blog to check out the rest of the Design Team’s (including Michael this week!) cards and show Maggie some love by entering your project in the gallery! Thank you very much for visiting with me today! Have a thrilling Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 426

It’s the last Monday in November… can you believe that?! Where has this year gone?! It feels like I was just walking around Manhattan with Michael a few weeks ago! And walking around London with Brian a few days ago! Time really does fly when you are having fun so I guess that I have been having a good time! Yesterday I managed to get most of my crafty stuff done, still more to do but I get in my own way sometimes and YouTube is a really big distraction, for me anyway! LOL! This morning I’m going to go and watch Scrap-A-Latte for Renee and then I have my Ton class at The Ink Pad this evening. I’m looking forward to that! It will be a late night but it’s all good!

The start of another week and a new Mojo Monday sketch! Here is this week’s…

Mojo426

I had some more fun with the Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered with a piece of Real Red. I took a piece of Solar White 80lb and used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles and Squares to cut out my windows. A piece of Acetate is adhered to the back with SNAIL and then two layers of Foam Tape. The background is a piece of paper from The PinkFresh Studios Christmas Wishes 6×6 Paper Pad. Some Recollections Red and Teal Sequins along with a few Red Seed Beads are sprinkled on the background and the window is adhered over to seal them in. Two more pieces of Real Red are flagged and I used my Tuxedo Black Marker to go around the edges before adhering them to the card. The house and greeting are from the PinkFresh Studios Christmas Wishes Puffy Stickers Pack and are adhered with Foam Tape. A scattering of Jillybean Soup Red and Teal Self Adhesive Sequins are adhered to the card from top right to bottom left. I do love the teal and red together and the puffy stickers are fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your card in the gallery! Fab Friday 75

Hi there and a happy Friday to you! I had a busy but good day yesterday! I hung out at The Ink Pad with Anna and Barbara. I helped Anna with the window in the morning and then Barbara with some on-line stuff in the afternoon. Around 4:00 I headed back to Penn to catch the train out to Babylon where Taylor and her friends picked me up and took me to Scrap-A-Latte for the first night of card class which is always a good time. This morning I’m going to get my haircut and then an eye exam so I can get some new contacts. After that Andrew is going to stop by and help me a little more with my project that I’m working on and then it’s off to the store for the second night of card class! Yay!

Today is also a Fab Friday and this week we have a fun color combo for you…

Fab Fri 75 10-16-2015

I did see Halloween when I first looked at the colors but then changed direction! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a strip of Cherry On Top Designer Washi Tape along with a piece of Bermuda Bay. My Flowers and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Artful Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Tangelo Twist and the outlines with Memento Tuxedo Black before using the coordinating Simon Says Stamp Designer Flowers Craft Dies to cut them out. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on a piece of Black and the left side is angled. I adhered the flowers and the greeting to one of the PinkFresh Studios Happy Things Acetate Cards with Foam Tape and used more Foam Tape hidden behind them to adhere them card to the card! A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card. I love the bold pop of the flowers against the Bermuda Bay and the acetate card is just cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday color challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks very much for taking some time to visit today! Have a fabulous Friday my friends! 🙂

Pals Paper Arts 265

A super happy Friday to you! Yes, I’m off from work until September 21st! Michael stopped by the office yesterday and said goodbye to everyone and then I did the same. I did manage to get out of work at 2:00 and I came home and made a few cards and then went to Smashburger for dinner with Michael and Taylor. We stopped off and got some dessert on the way home and then I helped Michael with some pictures on his computer. I still can’t believe that he is going home tomorrow. This afternoon I’m going to take a ride into Manhattan with Brian to pick up his passport, don’t ask, LOL! We are also going to stop by Kim’s and get a couch that she’s giving me and then take my couch over to Heather. Tonight Michael is going to stay by me and then tomorrow night I will take him to JFK. Bummer.

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…

PPA 265

A super simple sketch and I got my Simon Says Stamp September Card Kit yesterday so I had to play with it! The base of today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock with a piece of Basic Black covering the front. For the background I used a piece of paper from the PInkFresh Studios Happy Things 6×6 Paper Pad. The main panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb backed with some more Basic Black. The images are from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Teal, Teeny Bikini and Duckling Ink. The outlines are stamped in Smoke and the strings and bows in Memento Tuxedo Black. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed on a piece of Basic Gray in White Hero Arts Embossing Powder. I adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL, tucking the greeting underneath. To balance the card I adhered some Pretty Pink Posh Spring Mix, Hazel & Ruby The Makery Green with Envy and Essentials by Ellen Iridescent Gray and Matte Black Sequins with some Ranger Multi-Matte Medium on the right side of the panel. I love all of the goodies that you get in this month’s kit especially the fun stamp set! I really hope that you enjoy today’s card for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge! Thank you for visiting me today and I wish you a fantastic Friday! 🙂
