For this weeks Pals Paper Arts the challenge is a sketch. It’s three squares with a band. I decided to do a traditional Christmas card, colors that is. The card itself is 4.25 x 4.25 square. I used some Garden Green Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla Smooth Card Stock. I ran the Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the new Snow Burst Embossing Folder. The Stitched Stockings Clear Mount Set and the Stocking Builder Punch are a great addition to anyones Holiday craft arsenal. I love the Merry Christmas from the Christmas Greeting Wood Mount Set. I think I will be making some more of these! Thanks for looking and have a great day!

This weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge used an lovely picture of a front door all dressed up of fall. I love the fall with all of it’s bright and earthy colors. As soon as I saw the picture I knew exactly what I would do. Some nice leaves! The parchment background on the card was scored vertically with Stampin’ Up!’s new Simply Scored scoring board. I have to say that I love to use it and it really is the best one I have used. I have a Martha Stewart Score Board and I never touch it anymore. You can’t really see it in the picture very well but it gives the paper a nice subtle pinstriped look. I also used the EK Tools Triple Layer Maple Leaf punch. I only used two of the layers to keep it a little more simple. The sentiment is from the retired Afterthoughts Clear Mount Set. Thanks for taking a look!

This weeks Pals Paper Arts is a color challenge. The colors are Rich Razzleberry, Lucky Limeade and Pumpkin Pie. I was thinking that the colors remind me of a funky Halloween card so that whats what I did. I used the Stampin’ Up! Spooky Bingo Bits Clear Mount Set for the images and the Happy Halloween came from the Delightful Dozen Clear Mount Set. I really like the color combination together. I hope you do too. Thanks for looking!

Ahh.. how I love a good Pals Paper Arts Challenge! Especially when there are no specific colors to follow! This weeks challenge is to use heat embossing, something I haven’t done for years. I love all of the new Stampin’ Up! stuff that I have and my favorite items are the Builder Punches. I decided to go with the Cupcake Builder Punch. I embossed the red sprinkles and cherry as well as the sentiments. I like the card but I guess I need to get some Stampin’ Up! embossing powder because the stuff I have isn’t that great. I also need to get an Embossing Buddy! Here are the list of  “ingredients” for the card and the picture is below. Thanks for stopping by!

This weeks challenge was to use lace. I am not a lacy kind of guy but I do have the Martha Stewart Crafts Doily Lace Trim Deep Edge Punch from EK Tools which I thought was perfect for this. The stamp is from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Soft Stamp Set. I colored in the leaves with a colored pencil. The Stampin’ Up! For All You Do Set provided the thank you. I love the color combination of red, beige and ivory. Thanks for looking!

The challenge for this weeks Pals Paper Arts was a really nice layout. I felt inspired by the sea shell stamp that I have from Inkadinkado. It’s also a kind of farewell to summer seeing as it’s been a little chilly these past few days. The blue and beige conjure up the sea and sand. I used the Martha Stewart Crafts Deco Shell Edge Punch from EK Tools for the divider and the Sand Dollar Punch across the top. The Embossing Folder from CuttleBug has a wave like look and the thank you stamp is from studio g. I also used the Postage Stamp Edger from EK Tools. Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoy. 🙂

This weeks Pals Paper Arts Challenge is a Halloween card. This is my second one, I did a Halloween theme for one a few weeks ago. I decided on a more subtle orange black and kraft paper color scheme. I used the Wavy Circle and Zig Zag Chain Edger Punches from EK Tools and Martha Stewart Embossed Pumpkin Double and Bats Punches. The stamps are from Inkadinkado and studio g. Happy Haunting!

Hello everyone out there! I hope that everyone had a great Labor Day weekend. I spent my with friends, which is my favorite way to spend any day! I actually went out and got the paper in the colors that were needed for this weeks Pals Paper Arts challenge. I had a little trouble getting started and then I decided that I would keep it a little more on the simple side this week. I tend to put a lot of stuff on my cards, not that it’s a bad thing, but simple can be just as nice. I used stamps from Ditto by studio g and the Martha Stewart Crafts small butterfly punch. I’m happy with it and hope that you like it too! Have a great day!

The only benefit of hurricane Irene was that I got spend some quality time with my craft supplies. I recently started getting some Stampin’ Up stamp sets from ebay. The set I used on this card is called Fast & Fabulous. It was a hostess set and I think it’s beautiful. The black outline is separate from the color, it gives it a hand colored look. The Make A Wish stamp is from TPC Studio, I also used the CuttleBug Dots Embossing Folder and the Squiggly Embossing strip. Enjoy!

I decided today that I wanted to enter the Pals Paper Arts weekly contest for the first time. I’m very happy with the way my card came out. There are some nice little touches like the eyelets that I set using my new Crop-A-Dile Big Bite. I love the colors, black being my favorite. The card was made with Recollections Card Stock, CuttleBug Circles Embossing Folder, EK Tools Circle Cutter, Martha Stewart Crafts Cupcake Punch, EK Tools Swiss Cheese Edge Punch and Stampin’ Up Terrific Tags Set. I was so excited to get my first Stampin’ Up product. It is a retired set and I love it. Thanks for checking out my card!
