Paper Craft Crew 275

Well, either it’s not as cold as it has been or I’m finally becoming immune to it! LOL! I don’t think that I will ever become immune to the cold, just not my kind of weather! It was a little warmer yesterday, got up into the 30’s which melted a teeny bit of the snow. I ran my errands in the morning and did a little cleaning too. Jim and I went to see Star Wars – The Last Jedi in the evening and it was really good. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan again! 😀

It’s Wednesday and time for a new sketch from the Paper Craft Crew

Keeping with my simple cards I did a one layer one today! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I heat embossed the brushstrokes and thank you from the Concord & 9th Painted Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. On a diagonal across the lower half of the card I added a piece of Gold Sparkle Washi Tape. It needed a little something more so I took out my Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and added just a few for a some bling. Another super simple but easy to mass produce card! The gold heat embossing makes it a little more special don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming but today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 274

Did you know that I moved to Antarctica?! Me either but that’s exactly what it feels like here! I woke up to 12 degrees and it hasn’t been above 25 in over a week! Oh how I love the Winter… NOT! To make things even more fun we are to get some snow tomorrow. No thanks! I did have a productive day yesterday, I went over to Jim’s in the morning and we undecorated his house and had lunch. I was back home by 3:00 and took down Christmas at my place too. Today I have some laundry to do and cleaning, all things that can be done without going outside! LOL! 😀

It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I have had the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp for a while and I finally inked it up to make today’s card! Using My MISTI and some Minty Fresh, Merman, Peacock and Hippo Ink to stamp it onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The greeting is from the same set, I stamped it in Black Licorice and then offset it and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For a little sparkle, some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones are added to the centers of the larger ones! A nice simple card to let someone know that you think they are amazing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 131 – Emboss It!

Hey there, remember me?! I have been MIA for a little bit over the Holidays. I just lost my Mojo and didn’t make a card for about two weeks!! That’s the longest I think I have ever gone. Plus I think that I just needed a break after five years of almost daily posts. Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things! Oh, Happy New Year!! Can’t believe that 2017 is done! I did have a good year and a wonderful time over the Holidays! I hope that all of you are doing great and that your year is off to a great start! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for the first Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge of 2018…

I used a new to me stamp set that I have wanted for a while, it was a little prezzie from Jim! To start I heat embossed that gorgeous leaf from the Neat & Tangled Oak Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I colored it in using a Light Green Zig Clean Color Brush Pen and a Waterbrush. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. I added the leaf and greeting with 3M Foam Tape and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card. I do love that leaf especially watercolored! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming back after my little hiatus! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 317

Well, I woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning! No thanks! LOL! It was so windy and cold here yesterday too! Is it too early to start complaining that I can’t wait for Spring?! Despite the frigid day I still got a lot done. Last night we had an early Thirsty Thursday at my house, Heather was a little tipsy so I drove her home and then took her car over to her this morning. I’ll be running more errands and checking more things off my to-do list today! 😀

I managed to get a card made this morning for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

I wanted to use the December My Monthly Hero Kit again. First I used the Hero Arts City Skyline Fancy Die, an add-on, to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb that I rounded the corners on with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. The moon and the starts are from the Stamp Set included and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of the Gold Glitter Card and then adhered my panel with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My greeting is also from the Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Blue Jay. A few Black 3D Foam Squares hold it in place. The bottom looked a little plain so I added a few Nautical Sparkle and Brushed Gold Sequins along with some dots with my Gold Signo Gel Pen. Love that fun City Scape Die and the unusual greeting! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for your visit and I wish you all a super Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 272

It has become seriously cold here! I woke up to 20 degrees this morning and lots of wind! Poor Cali was not happy on her walk this morning and neither was I! LOL! Yesterday I ran some errands then met up with Heather and Steph after dinner so that they could go and vote for Fire Commissioner. Heather and I stopped by to see Brian and Kim’s house, they are expanding it out to the side and up. It was pretty neat to see the construction, the shell went up really fast! When I got back home Taylor was here snuggling with Cali. Her and I ran a few more errands and then I called it a night. Not sure what I’m up to this morning but I know there will be some laundry in there somewhere! 😀

I did a little FaceTime crafting with Andrea yesterday and made my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by reaching for the Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Kit. The vase is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card, colored in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I used the lattice window die to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card. For my background I spattered some Heidi Swapp Gold and Teal Color Shine onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The two strips of patterned paper are from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad. I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on the teal strip and flagged both ends of the butterfly strip before adhering them to the card. Some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive hold the lattice window in place and a little 3M Foam Tape secures the vase. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the December My Monthly Hero Kit, so many fun things to use in it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Peace Out!

Happy Monday! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! I was nice and busy for most of mine. Saturday I spent the day with Heather and George. Heather and I ran a bunch of errands and then we had dinner and watched a movie. Yesterday Jim came over and we put up my Christmas Tree and ran a few more errands. I finished off the evening with a little binge of White Collar on Netflix. This morning I”m off to watch Daniel & Tristan! Not a bad way to start off the week! 😀

Today I have a funny card to share with you! Jim had someone that was leaving his company so he wanted a card to wish them well and this is what I came up with! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the pine branches from the Sunny Studio Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño and Noble Fir. The peace is cut from Gold Glitter Card using the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. I adhered it and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. On the inside I used the Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script Photopolymer Stamp Sets to stamp the Out! LOL! Get it… Peace Out! We thought it was pretty funny and so did the person that he gave the card to! I hope that you like today’s card! As always, thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 316

A chilly good day to you! It’s definitely feeing like Winter here today. Chilly but sunny. I managed to get most of my list accomplished yesterday. Jim came by and we had a nice dinner and then watched TV. This morning I’m at his house waiting for the dishwasher repair guy to come. It’s Thursday so I’ll get to see the girls later! 😀

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you. Before we get to it I want thank Jen M for choosing me for her Prince for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

I started my card by stamping the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background Stamp onto a piece of Solar White 110lb with Tide Pool Ink. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder using the Hero Arts Happy Happy Christmas Wood Mount Stamp. I wanted some gold around the edge of the card base so I took my Versa-Mark Pad and pressed it along the bottom and left edge. Some more Gold Embossing Powder is added and heat set. My background is then adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added for extra sparkle and the card is done! Love the simplicity and the gold with the teal! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Stuck on You – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again! I’m back with my December Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I have the distinct pleasure of sharing a sneak peek of one of the sets from the December Concord & 9th release with you today! You can also see more peeks of today’s set over on the Concord & 9th Blog!

To start my card I pulled out a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card Stock and used my Mini Ink Blending Tools to add Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon in a gradient starting with the lightest at the top and getting darker as I got to the bottom. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Stuck on You Dies to cut out a piece of Garden Green for my cactus and Cajun Craze for the pot. From the Concord & 9th Stuck on You Photopolymer Stamp Set I stamped the pot in Onyx Black. Along the bottom of the card I stamped the x pattern in Onyx Black along with the greeting in the upper left corner. The pot has tabs on the sides so I added some Scor-Tape to them and a piece of 3M Foam Tape in the middle. My cactus is adhered with E-Z Runner and the pot over the the cactus. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins for a little sparkle and the card is done! I love the way that dies cut in the needles on the cactus and the pot has that nice dimension to it!

I hope that you like my card for the December Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on December 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Simple Branch Sympathy

Ahh… another weekend flew by!  Mine was nice and busy. Saturday Jim and I decorated the outside of his house and painted the inside of the kitchen cabinets. Yesterday I went and picked up Heather and George from the airport and then Heather and I ran a few errands and we had dinner together. This morning I’m out at my Brother’s watching the kiddies. I’ll be doing this on Monday’s for the next six months. They are so good, so far! LOL! 😀

I have a simple one layer card to share with you today. Someone asked me if I had any sympathy cards the other day, I realized that I didn’t so I wanted to come up with nice easy one that was quick to put together. To make the card I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The brach is stamped in Doe and the flowers in Moonstone. Mt greeting is also stamped in Doe. For the flower centers I added Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Quick and easy to make and super simple to mass produce too! I hope that you like today’s quick card! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Global Design Project 115

Ah yes, Friday, the end of what has been a pretty long week. I managed to get through a few projects yesterday, not as many as I wanted to but I’ll see what I can get done today. I went over to Jim’s last night for dinner and to meet up with our friend Laura to start planning for next year’s fundraising event. Cali met Jim’s dogs and they were ok together, it will be a while before they are best buddies. Cali has a little bit of a Napoleon complex, small dog syndrome as I like to call it! She needs to be in charge! The more time she spends with other dogs the better she will get. I’m off to get a haircut this morning and then catch up with my friend Greg. 😀

I was looking around for a challenge yesterday and remembered the Global Design Project, haven’t done that one in a while and they have a nice simple one this week…

No stamps on today’s card, just some cool die cuts! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. From a piece of Red Glimmer Paper I cut out the poinsettia from the Essentials by Ellen Poinsettia and Pine Dies and the JOY from the Essential by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. The pine branches are cut from some Garden Green and adhered with E-Z Runner. I left the negatives in the poinsettia and after I adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape I added Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the center. The JOY is also adhered with 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! I love the fun sparkly pop of red against the dark woodgrain background, makes for a fun holiday card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Global Design Project Christmas Joy challenge! Thanks for finishing out your week with me! Have a fantastic Friday and an awesome weekend! 🙂
