SIP Challenge 188 – Designer’s Choice!

Hi everyone! It’s back to being cold here in New York. I know Spring is coming but it seems so far away! I had one of those rare nights last night where I only got about 3 hours of sleep. Today should be fun! 😛

It’s Tuesday once again and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I wanted to play with some of the new dies from this month’s Concord & 9th release to make my card for today! I started by using the Concord & 9th Pretty Poppy Dies to cut out some Rose Quartz, Garden Green and Black 110lb for the pieces that I needed to make my flower. I set those aside and used the Concord & 9th Peek-Through Patterns Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the cross marks onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock in Minty Fresh Ink. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I assembled my poppy and adhered it to the card base with Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive. It needed a little bling so I added a few Pink Rhinestones and the card is done! I love the subtle background with the nice bold die cut flower! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Designer’s Choice challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and add your take to the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a great rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 180 – Thank You!

Happy New Year!! I had a busy month in December and didn’t have any time to craft which was not a good thing! I did manage to get a little crafty time in yesterday with Andrea on FaceTime, we haven’t done that in a while! One of the big things that happened to me was on Christmas Day. I was on my way to see a friend and hit a pothole on the Southern State Parkway. It broke the spring and some other important parts in the front of the car which in turn sliced the tire off of the rim. $1,700 later the car was fixed. That’s a lot of damage from a pothole! Merry Christmas to me, not! Other than that I had a good month and I have missed you guys! I plan to attempt to get back to being a little more crafty in the new year!

To start off the year we have a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog. We took a little time off and to start we are making thank you cards!

I used a whole bunch of dies and no stamps to make my card! The greenery uses dies from the Concord & 9th Season Of Cheer, Just Because and Beautiful Branches Sets and they are cut from Early Espresso, Soft Sky, Garden Green, Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive. My rectangle is cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies. I cut the season from Silver Glitter Card and the of thanks from a piece of Dark Grey 110lb, both of those dies are from the Concord & 9th Season of Cheer Set. The greenery is added to a panel of Light Grey 110lb with Glue Tube. I adhered the season and of thanks to the rectangle and then added it to the panel with 3M Foam Tape. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I love all of the greenery behind the sentiment and the way it stands out against the grey background! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with and share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that your year is off to a great start! 🙂

SIP Challenge 175 – Gratitude!

Hello my friends! It was a dreary Monday and that has continued into a dreary Tuesday. A good day to stay in and get some stuff done around the house. The kiddos are off from school and wanted to spend the day at my parents so I’ll have them tomorrow. I did go over and have breakfast with them this morning. Now to get some stuff done here! 😀

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I felt like doing some heat embossing so I did just that… and a lot! My background is created using the Concord & 9th Deck the Halls Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I put it into my MISTI and used Versa-Mark to stamp it each time onto a piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock. It’s coated with Hero Arts Gold, Platinum, Copper and Brass Embossing Powder and heat set then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My card is a piece of lighter Grey 110lb Card Stock and I adhered the background to the front. For my greeting I used the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Dies to cut out the grateful from three pieces of Grey 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Before adding it to the card I used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some sparkle. A pretty simple card with a big impact thanks to all of that metallic embossing powder! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Gratitude Challenge! Check out the rest of Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your take with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

25 Days of Christmas Tags 2017 – Concord & 9th

Hi again!! Feels like I was just here! LOL! I’m back to join Tracey McNeely for her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! I’m so happy to represent one of my favorite stamp companies Concord & 9th and the amazing Where Creativity Meets C9 design team!  If you’ve never heard of Where Creativity Meets C9, we’re a challenge blog celebrating our love for Concord & 9th. We have a monthly challenge and you should definitely come by a check us out!

I’m actually a big fan of making tags for the Holiday’s and since I make a lot the simpler the better! For my tag shape I cut out a piece of Tropical Sea Card stock with the tree from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Dies. My greeting is heat embossed in Red Tinsel Embossing Powder using a greeting from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. On the top I used a hole punch so I had a place to tie a piece of Pool Party Ribbon. For little sparkle I adhered some Little Things by Lucy Pool Shimmer Jewels. A nice simple sparkly tag that will make the Holiday’s even more festive!

If this is the first you’re hearing of Tracey’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags event make sure to head here to read all about it and enter your tags for a chance to win a prize from one of these fabulous sponsors:

Paper Craft Crew 255

The gloomy Tuesday morning turned into a nice day around 1:00PM! I can deal with that! I did get a few things around the house completed in the morning and then I took my MacBook and sat outside in the afternoon! I do love a little sit outside! In the evening I went over to Jim’s for some dinner and more furniture refinishing! We are working on some chairs and an end table. Pictures when we are done of course! 😀

And we are at Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

A card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock starts off today’s card. I used the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set to heat emboss the world onto a piece of Soft Sky with Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. The Coordinating Dies are used to cut it out. I also die cut a banner with the Concord & 9th Best Banners Dies from a piece of Black 110lb. The world is from the same stamp set and is heat embossed onto another piece of Black 110lb with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Before I adhered the globe to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner I added a piece of Copper Washi Tape. The world’s is adhered to the globe with 3D Foam Squares and the best with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A little cascade of Pretty Pink Posh Copper Sequins and the card is done! I love the world’s best greeting, could be anything! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Make sure and come back at 11:00! I will have my post for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th challenge! In the mean time enjoy your morning! 🙂

Paper Players 346

It was another day that started out gloomy and turned bright and sunny by the afternoon! I got lots accomplished too, made a few cards, made a bunch of thank you cards for a friend, ran to the Post Office and had dinner with my Parents. We did another Wine Wednesday this week. Heather, Steph and I were joined by Taylor for a little while. Always love to get see the child! This morning I have a lot of planning to do, staying focused is the key! LOL!

One of my cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I played with some more of my Simon Stamps! To create my background I used the Simon Says Stamp Waves Stencil along with my Stencil Brush and some Lake Shores Ink. The corners are rounded with my Corner Chomper and the panel is adhered to a Black panel that is then adhered to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I die cut the Echo Park Picture Wheel Die from more Black and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The feathers, leaves and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Oh Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the feathers in Teeny Bikini, the leaves in Jellybean and the greeting in Scuba. I used the Coordinating Happy Day Dies to cut them out. The leaves and feathers are adhered to each other, a piece of Hemptique Black Natural Hemp Twine is tied into a bow around the bottom and they are adhered to the picture wheel with E-Z Runner. For the greeting I used some more 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Recollections Enamel Dots complete the card! I still have a soft spot for some feathers and I love that picture wheel! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

White Painted Flowers

Hey there peeps! How was your Friday? It rained here on and off all day, the sun did try to peek out a few times but mostly gloomy. However inside the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store it was another fun day! Renee was off spending the day with her grandkids, I’m sure that she had a nice day too. I was a busy boy, I got some administrative stuff done in between helping the customers. I really do love talking to people about crafty stuff. One customer stopped in a brought a pop-up crib card that she made, it was great! My friend Paul stopped by for a bit, I got to talk to Michael and my friend Chantal. Angie came up in the afternoon to finish getting ready for her folio class that she has today. I ran out to the Post Office and mailed off some more crafty goodness to another happy customer! At the end of the day Taylor and Kiera stopped by and had some Blaze and Panera for dinner. When I got home Daniel was still at my parent’s and after I had some dinner he showed me his new Ninja Turtles Big Wheel and then we played with his cars. When I got back to my house Taylor and Kiera came by and I helped Taylor make a card for one of her friends and then made my card for today. I have lots of stuff to get done at the store today and I can’t wait to plan a few more classes for next month!

The card that I have to share with you today is a nice simple one! My card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Yeti and Black Licorice Ink onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. The stems are drawn in with a Copic Multiliner. The greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Black Licorice. I mounted the stamped panel to a piece of Black 110lb and then adhered it to the card. Like I said, nice and simple but I love the white ink on the kraft card stock with just the simple outlines of the flowers! I hope that you enjoyed today’s quick and simple card! Thank y0u for stopping by and I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 197

Hmm… my week is a little off! I thought that today was Tuesday because we had off Monday?! I guess my excitement that Friday will be here before I know it will make up for all of that confusion!! LOL! So happy Wednesday! Before I headed over to the store this morning I stopped by Heather’s and fixed her mouse on her work computer. I was thanked with a nice breakfast of eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast! SO much for that diet! But, I was good for the rest of the day! On the way to work there was traffic on the parkway and there usually isn’t. Well, low and behold some truck driver decided that he would use a bridge as a can opener! As I drove by the scene the roof of the truck was still laying in the road. I know I saw a sign about clearance, guess he didn’t! The store was busy and Renee and I both worked on different projects. We also had salad for lunch, we are starting a new healthy eating kick! After I got home, top down in the car again, I had a sandwich for dinner and then ran to BJ’s the get some things before settling in for the evening. Today I have some more product coming into the store and a lot of paperwork related stuff to do! I’m going to try and get some crafty time in too!

Since it is Wednesday that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS197 DT Sketch 6-01-2016

My card is way out of my comfort zone today! I used some really bright colors! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I masked off the square with Post-it Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Twisted Citron Distress Ink. I used the same method to apply Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet to two pieces of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. They are adhered to the card at angles to match the sketch. My cityscape is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Dies and is adhered on top of the inked panels. The little taxi and greeting are from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set and are both heat embossed in Black Embossing Powder, the taxi on Hello Honey and the greeting on Desert Storm 80lb. I flagged the left side of the greeting and used Foam Tape to adhere them both to the card. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Marigold, Lime Sorbet and Onyx Sequins complete the card! I have to say that I really do love the bright colors against the subdued colors of the taxi and greeting and that City Die is so cool!! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Designer’s have done and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 238

Yes, yet another nice day! That’s three in a row! Woo hoo! My ride to the store in the convertible was lovely as always. The Hero Arts order arrived and I got it all entered, priced and put out! We had a nice busy day in the store too! I think that Renee was a little exhausted at the end of the day! I hope every day is like that! Taylor stopped by and her and I had Blaze pizza for lunch. I also got to speak to Michael and filled him in on the goings on at the store. After work I stopped by my Parent’s and saw Daniel, Jason and Erika. I wear a baseball cap in the car now, my hair is long and gets knotted! When I came in Daniel looked at me and said “look Nanny, Uncle has a hat on!”. I said that I was wearing it because I wanted to be like him and he went and got his hat and put it on gave me a high five! He is just way too cute! Around 7:45 Anthony and Bill came by and we went to Friday’s for dinner and then stopped at Target. They dropped me off and I came in and made my card for today. This morning I’m going to the store for a little while and then I’ll be heading over to celebrate Sue’s daughter’s graduation! She got her Doctorate! That’s impressive!

My card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 238

I used some of the new Hero Arts goodies that arrived! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the bridge from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Cup O Joe Ink onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered that to the card. The bike, camera and greeting are from the Hero Arts Hipster at Heart Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the bicycle in Wet Cement and the camera in Memento Tuxedo Black. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. I adhered the greeting, camera and bicycle to the card with E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Espresso and Charcoal Sequins are added around the bridge and the card is finished. I love the images in both of the sets but the stellar greeting is definitely going to be a favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you fro coming by today to see me! I wish you all a stupendous Saturday! 🙂

Heart & Feathers Be Happy

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little tired! I guess not working full time for 6 months and then going back full time plus will do that to you! LOL! It’s all good though, I’m loving being at the store and keeping everything organized! Yesterday there was a crop so the store was full! I love getting to sit there and chat with everyone! Angie and I ran an errand to the Dollar Store and then I went out and got us Wendy’s for lunch. It was a busy day and I really did have a good time! I spoke to Michael on my way home and then had Chinese for dinner with my parent’s. Taylor stopped by with Kiera and the had the cutest baby kitten with them. She is a stray and Taylor wanted me to keep her at my house but she wasn’t very fond of Winston! If they can’t find a good home I guess I’ll have to give in! Heather called around 9:45 so I ran over to her house for a glass of wine an some catch up! I’ll be back over at the store for a little while today and then I must do some laundry, almost completely out of clothes! How is your weekend?

When I did finally get home and settled I made my card for today. The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Circle Loops Craft Die to cut out two pieces of Gold Mirror Card. My feathers are cut from more Ivory 110lb with some cool postage themed Washi Tape adhered to it. I used the Simon Says Stamp Pointed Feathers Dies to cut them out. For the Heart I used Red Felt and the Simon Says Stamp Combined Hearts Dies. My greeting consists of a Black 110lb Be cut from the Simon Says Stamp Be Craft Die and the happy heat embossed onto more Black 110lb with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive except the happy which is adhered with Foam Tape. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Cobalt and Raspberry Sequins to compete the card! Oh how I have missed feathers and I do love them cut from the Washi Tape! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thank you for coming by! I wish you all a very happy Sunday! 🙂
