Fab Friday 93

Woo hoo! Happy Friday my peeps! The Watercolor 101 Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was a big hit! It was nice to see all of my little artists working on their cards! They all did a fantastic job and now they can all confidently watercolor! The rest of the day at the store was nice! Nick is home from Boston, love having him around! Renee had a nice productive day too! She got all of her kits made for her Kids class! By the time I got home it was 9:00, I had a quick bite to eat at my Parent’s before I came home and sat down to make my card for today. Today at the store I have some new Reverse Confetti to check in and I have to continue gathering the goodies for my Holiday Village Classes! That is going to be fun!

Today just happens to be a Fab Friday and this time we have a fun sketch…

Fab Fri 93 8-05-2016

Love that little flourish! The card that I came up with starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took some Heidi Swapp Citron Color Shine and flicked it onto the card front. After that dried I adhered a piece of 3M Black Glitter Washi Tape down the left side. My leaves are cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Romantic Vines Shapeabilities and that’s adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I cut out a piece of patterned paper with the Spellbinders Postage Stamp Nestabilities and adhered it to the bottom of the greeting. That is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To complete the card I added some Pretty Pink Posh Peacock and Gold Sequins! I love the simplicity of the card and the unexpected bright green spatter with the black and gold! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s inspiration cards and enter yours in the gallery! I thank you for coming by today! Have a fantabulous Friday! 🙂

Well, I believe that it’s Saturday! I’m off to Manhattan this morning to see my friends Jim and Diane. I think that I’ll try to stop by The Ink Pad too! Yesterday I worked on my cards for this month’s card class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Renee and Angie straightened up the store and promised to work on the new storage room today! I’m looking forward to going into the city! I’ll have the whole day to wander around!

I made what I thought was going to be a quick card last night to share with you today. It wasn’t all that quick! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Kraft Card Stock and heat embossed my greeting from the Altenew Painted Inspiration Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. To make sure that it stayed flat on the card I adhered it with Tombo Extreme. The decorative circle is cut from another piece of Solar White 110lb with the Spellbinders Triple Tear Nestabilities Die. I adhered that to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. My flowers and leaves are form the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris with the centers of the small flowers stamped in Warm Sunshine. My leaves are stamped in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen. The Mini MISTI makes lining up the layers super easy! I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. I told myself that I wasn’t going to use any sequins or gold on today’s card! LOL! I do love the bright colors and white against the Kraft, it really makes the flowers and greeting stand out! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for taking some time out of your day to visit with me! I wish you all a very happy Saturday! 🙂

Paper Players 305

Well hello Thursday! One day closer to the weekend! My Wednesday was really good! I got my Notions Order at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, most of it was supplies for upcoming classes and some goodies for me to play with! I got that all checked in a put out. Renee had her all occasions card class and there were people in and out all day. I managed to get my card for today done at the store again! After I left the store I headed straight over to Heather’s and we ran to BJ’s. We both had a few things to pick up, I needed stuff to bring to work and Heather had to get some goodies for tomorrow night. We dropped my stuff off at my house on the way back to her place. She made me dinner when we got back and then we sat outside and binge watched YouTube! Not a bad way to spend an evening at all! Today I have to make sure that I finalize all of my orders for the new Holiday goodies! Can’t wait to get them in!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #305

The base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Forest Floor Bold Pints Background Stamp and Altenew Soft Lilac Ink to stamp a piece of Solar White 110lb. From a piece of Black 110lb and Gold Mirror Card I cut two strips and added a flag to the left sides before adhering them under the stamped panel which is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up I used the Spellbinders Triple Tear Nestabilities Dies to cut out another piece of Gold Mirror Card and that is adhered to the card with Dot Runner and Foam Tape. My flower and leaves are from the Altenew Golden Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outlines in Altenew Jet Black, the flower in Buttercream and the leaves in Frayed Leaf Crisp Ink. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Jet Black. I cut it out with one of the dies from the Spellbinders Hipster 1 Die D-Lites. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the card is finished! I know and you all know how much I love that Gold Mirror Card, it just adds so much and the Altenew Flowers are definitely a favorite too! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge! I appreciate your visit and I wish you all a lovely Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 204

Hey, hey it’s Wednesday! LOL! I try to think up new ways to start off my posts! It was another very warm day here, still loving it! I got a lot accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store including making my card for today! Yay for being productive! When I got home I had some dinner and then had a conference call with my friend Greg! After that Louis stopped by for a bit to pick up a Birthday card for his sister. We watched some YouTube and then I ran out to get gas in the car. I like to do it late at night, there are less people and then I don’t have to stop on my way in the morning! All about the planning… right?!

The card that I conjured up at the store is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

PCCCS204 DT Sketch 7-27-2016

I wanted bright and fun, you’ll have to let me know know if I was successful! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Cyber Grape Card Stock and flicked some Copic Opaque White onto it. Once it was dry I adhered it to the card base with E-Z Runner. Down the right side is a piece of Bo Bunny Believe 12×12 Devotion Paper and a strip if Gold Mirror Card. My oval is a piece of Tropical Sea Card Stock that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres it to the card. The stamped images are form the Altenew Lotus Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the oval with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. The hexagon is another piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with a die from the Spellbinders Hipster 1 Die D-Lites. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black, I flagged the ends and adhered it over the hexagon with Foam Tape. You knew it was coming! LOL! I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Amethyst and Lime Sorbet Sequins for a little more sparkle and the card is done! I love that Lotus Stamp Set and the nice bold colors on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! Freshly Made Sketches 246

It’s the weekend peeps! What’s on for you?! I will be at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, as always! LOL! Today there is a private crop so I will only be staying until around 2:00 and then I’m going to attempt to get some stuff done around the house. Although, I have been longing to go to Long Beach for a nice walk along the boardwalk. We’ll see which wins out! Nick was at the store yesterday and we switched the storage room and the kitchen. We need more space to keep stuff and get a little more organized and the kitchen was a little bigger than the storage room, problem solved! Sue came up to the store yesterday too and hung out with me. We rearranged some stuff and straighten up. I saw Angie for a bit before I left, she had her art journaling class last night. Always something fun going on at the store!

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you…

Freshly Made Sketches 246

Oh, a tag! LOL! The card base for today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out another piece and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner for my background. The tag is a piece of Kraft Card Stock that is cut out with the Tim Holtz Tags Collection Framelits. The reinforcement is cut from Gold Mirror Card. I adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner with a piece of May Arts Hemp Twine tied though the top. Another piece of Ivory 110lb is die cut with one of the dies from the Spellbinders Die of the Month 7 Kit with my Platinum Machine. I also embossed it and adhered it to the tag with a Glue Dot. The leaves and berries are from the same set, cut from red and green, and the feathers are from the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeabilities Dies, they are cut from Gold Mirror Card. I also used a Glue Dot to adhere them. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I added a dot of Multi-Matte Medium under the twine to keep it in place and that finished the card! Yes, I think that my obsession with feathers is back, especially the Spellbinders ones! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for stopping by today! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

OSAT July Blog Hop – Shabby Chic

OSAT Blog Hop Banner

I just can’t say enough about how lovely the weather has been here! And down by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store there is a breeze all the time that is just heavenly! Lots got accomplished at the store today! My friend Sue came by to help me, she so awesome! We got everything cut for Card Class. I made a custom stamp for someone with my Mint! That was fun! When I got home my little buddy Daniel was at my Parent’s. I had dinner and then he and I played with his trucks and made it rain grass on them which he thought was pretty awesome! I’m sure that when he starts doing that at my Brother’s house I will hear about it! LOL! He went to see his sister yesterday, here is a little picture of that…

Daniel & Tristan

I think that he will make a very good big brother! He even combed her hair while he was there! The rest of the evening was pretty quiet, just how I wanted it to be! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my good friend Dena’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Shabby Chic theme! Not really a style that I’m good at but I’m up for trying anything! I have two cards and a fun little box to share with you!

Both of the cards use most of the same elements. They both have bases of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered in a piece of Early Espresso. The patterned paper on both is the same too, it’s from Blue Fern and is from the Timeless Collection. The flowers on both cards are from the Altenew Botanical Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed on Tim Holtz Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I used Dusty Concord, Pumice Stone and Bundled Sage Distress Inks and a Waterbrush to color in the flowers and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. On the first card I adhered a piece of the Timeless Paper to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner after distressing the edges. A Tea Lace Paper Doily is then adhered to the left side. On top of that is another piece of the Timeless Paper under a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Spellbinders Savoy Decorative Accent Nestabilities. My flowers are adhered with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. For the greeting I heat embossed the hello from the Altenew Halftone Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and cut it and piece of Fun Foam out with the Coordinating Die. It’s adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Amethyst Sequins finishes the card.

OSAT July Blog Hop Card 2-WM

The second card also has a piece of the Timeless Paper adhered with E-Z Runner. I cut another piece to 3 1/2″ x 4″, distressed the edges and adhered that with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few loose loops of May Arts Twine are adhered under the flowers on this card. My greeting is from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold on a piece of Early Espresso with the right side flagged. Some Foam Tape adhered that to the card and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card.

OSAT July Blog Hop Card 1-WM

My box is cut from the same Blue Fern Timeless Paper using the Spellbinders Makers Mart Month 4 Die Set. I then used some more of the dies to cut feathers out of Gold Mirror Card and leaves out of green card stock. They and a flower that I found at the store along with a piece of the Twine that I tied into a bow are adhered to the top of the box. A super fun and simple project to make!

Moon Feathers Out of this World

What a fun day at the store yesterday! I have to admit that the Crop weekends can be a really good time! We laugh a lot, especially when I post on Facebook that the music is draining the life out of me! I listen to all kinds of music but a day of Lite FM is like being in a never ending elevator ride! LOL! I finally got all caught up on my blog comments! YAY! Thanks to all of the people that left comments for the Hero Arts Blog Hop post! And to my regular peeps you have all been responded to! We can now resume our regular conversations! I had Chinese food for dinner with my Parents when I got home and Taylor and Kiera had Coldstone. Before I settled into the house for the evening I ran a few errands. The rest of the night was spent watching YouTube videos and making my card for today! Day two of the Crop will be in full swing when I get to the store this morning. More laughs for sure!

This card has been floating around in my head for a while so I decided that it was high time that it made an appearance! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed my greeting from the Altenew To the Moon Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of The Paper Cut Pluto Stardream Metallic that was sized to cover the entire card front. The moon is from the same set and is stamped in Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Ink. I stamped it again with the solid image using Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder to give it a nice glossy finish. To cut it out I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits. My feathers are cut from, shocker, Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeabilities Dies. I added a piece of Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to the back of the moon and tucked the feathers under it and adhered it to the card. To complete my outer space feel I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold, Sand and Charcoal Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium. Yes the moon looks a little odd with feathers hanging from it but it was in my head! I told you that it can be a little weird in there! LOL! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for indulging me with your visit! Have a sensational Sunday! 🙂

Fab Friday 91

Even though Friday isn’t the end of the week for me it’s still my favorite day! We had a great Heat Embossing 101 Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! We played with some Hero Arts goodies to learn a few new tricks with that magic powder. Everyone left with a quick fun card and some neat new techniques! After class I headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! Stephanie was there and we just did our usual. Love getting to spend some time with my peeps! Today I need to get my butt in gear at work, I have a lot of projects that I need to get finished and more just keep piling up!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our sketch challenge…

Fab Fri 91 7-8-2016

I’m going to honest and say that I remembered about this at 1:00AM! Yikes! I really need to update that calendar more often! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Waves Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Multi-Purpose Glue. The panel is a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Test & Ledgers Paper Pad. I backed it with a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner, Fun Foam and Multi-Purpose Glue. The anchor is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Anchors Away Inspire Die. I adhered it to the panel with Foam Tape. All of the flowers, leaves and berries are from the Altenew Peony Bouquet Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink and the leaves in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink with my Mini MISTI. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered into the anchor with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. My greeting is from the Altenew Beautiful lady Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Jet Black Crisp Ink and adhered to the anchor with more Foam Tape. I really think that anchor looks so cool with all of the flowers tucked into it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge! Sue’s Birthday Card!

Hello my friends! How is your week going? Mine is pretty busy but we all know that I like it like that! LOL! Yesterday Sue came by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to help me out for a while. We unpacked and got orders put out and ordered more stuff! Renee had her Christmas Card Club and her peeps stopped by to make their cards and pick up some goodies from me! After work I stopped by Heather’s and picked up something that I had left there this morning when I stopped by for breakfast! Then I came home and had a little dinner with my Parents. After dinner I spent some time working on a few projects in the Stampin’ Galley, yes, I can never get enough craftiness in my day! LOL! Starting tomorrow I have some VERY exciting things to share with you! You won’t want to miss it some make sure that you come by! I’m a little giddy about it so you know it has to be good!

In honor of Sue’s visit to the store I have her Birthday card from last week to share with you today! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My flowers are from the Altenew Botanical Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the main flower in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card using my Mini MISTI. I did a few times to make sure that I got a nice dark clean image. To color it in I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors and a Waterbrush. In between layers I used my Heat Tool to dry the layers and when I was finished I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. On the card front I stamped another image from the set twice to serve as a subtle background. My frame is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out using the Spellbinders Triple Tear Nestabilities Die. A little Multi-Matte Medium Holds the frame in place and some Foam Tape adheres the die cut flower to the card. My greeting is from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Intense Black. Finally some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold and Raspberry Sequins are added around the flower for some more shine! I do love the simple feel to the card and the way the watercolor flower just leaps off the front! I hope that you enjoyed Sue’s Birthday as much as she did! Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for my little surprise! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a tantalizing Thursday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 242

Happy weekend peeps! We had another warm sunny day here on Long Island! Perfect weather for my little car! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was good times as always! Renee went and had her hair did and the Novack sisters stopped by with a friend of theirs for a while. I managed to get my Reverse Confetti order in finally! Can’t wait to play with their new goodies! Angie came in around 5:00 to get ready for her Art Journaling Class. I left around 6:30 and had dinner at my parents. My sister-in-law said that she thinks that her contractions are starting! Daniel will have a new baby brother or sister soon! Can’t wait to meet him or her! I ran out last night to get gas and pick up a few things from Target. While I was roaming the aisles I came across Blueberry Oreos! If you see them and you like blueberry pie pick yourself up a pack! They are quite tasty! Especially with a cut of coffee! Today I will work on my cards for next month’s card class while I’m at the store. The administrative stuff can wait, I need to have a crafty day!

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches to share with you…

Freshly Made Sketches 242

I promise that this will be the last layered die cut card for a while! You know me, I get on a kick! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints background onto the front in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. Two circles are cut from Soft Sky and So Saffron using the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. I used some Gold Mirror Card to cut out the ticket and the word fun from the Spellbinders Amused 1 Die D-Lites and Etched Alphabet Shapeablities. The big top is also from the Amused 1 set and is cut from Wisteria Wonder. Some Black 110lb and a piece of Strawberry Slush cut out with the mustache and bow tie which are from the Spellbinders Hipster 2 Die D-Lites. The flag is cut from Silver Glitter Paper. I adhered the FUN to the So Saffron Circle with Multi-Matte Medium and the big top, flag and ticket to the Soft Sky circle with Dot Runner. My bow tie and mustache are adhered with Foam Tape. A little more Dot Runner holds the So Saffron circle to the card and Foam Tape adheres the Soft Sky one. I tucked in the banner cut from Coastal Cabana from the Amused 1 Set under the top circle and the card is finished! I do love the layering of dies cuts to make a “fun” different card! LOL! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂
