SIP Challenge 174 – Trick or Treat!

Hello friends! How was your Monday?! Mine was pretty good. The kiddos behaved themselves, you can’t ask for more than that! When I got home I finally used my InstaPot that I got to make some rice pudding. It was quick and easy and turned out great! I’ll have to find some more things to make in it. There are hundreds of recipes on Pinterest so that should be too hard! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I’m not much of a Halloween fan so I went with Fall for my card. To create my background I used a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock with my Mini Ink Blending Tools to add Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Barn Door Distress Oxide Ink. It’s splattered with a little water. I stamped the Thankful from the Concord & 9th Thankful Leaves Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Fine Onyx Black and then adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My leaf is cut from a piece of Copper Glitter Paper from the Concord & 9th Summer Glitter Paper Pack using the Concord & 9th Thankful Leaf Die. I adhered it to the card with Glue Tube. For a little added sparkle I dug through my stash and found some Neat & Tangled Festive Fall Sequins. Love the Distress Oxides on the Bristol Smooth! A fun simple fall card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Trick or Treat Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Design Team has come up with and share your card with in the gallery! Thanks for spending a little time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Fab Friday 147

Another early day with the kiddos but it’s Friday!! I spent the day on Wednesday looking for a new clothes dryer. We have some scratch and dent places around here but most of the stuff there looked like it fell off of the back of a truck doing about 80 MPH! LOL! I settled on a new one, it ended up only being about $100 more than one of the banged up ones. Not sure what’s going on for the weekend, but that’s ok, I do like a surprise from time to time! 😀

In my effort to try and get back into creating mode I have a card to share with you today for the new Fab Friday challenge…

More fun with the new release from Concord & 9th! I started my card by heat embossing the large snowflake from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set twice in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Blue Print Curious Metallic and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Set and is heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Steel Navy Embossing Powder onto a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic. I added a few of the snow flakes and then used the rectangle die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut it out. I also cut it from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to frame it. The snowflake is adhered to a card base of Solar White 110lb. I used another die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut out the pine branches from Gold Metallic 27lb Vellum. Some 3M Foam Tape is added to the back of the greeting and the pine branches are added tot he back before it’s added to the card. To finish it off I scattered some Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins and a few Hero Arts Clear Gems. I love that Steel Navy Embossing Powder and the blue and gold together! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and get some more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today, I hope that you all have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Magnolia Thanks – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello strangers! LOL! I have had the pleasure of spending a few days in Brunswick, Georgia at my friend Kim’s Sister’s house. I got out of New York just in time leaving on Thursday before the storm hit. The weather here has been lovely, sunny and in the high 60’s to low 70’s. We went to St Simon’s Island, the Okefenokee Swamp Park and Savannah. I have been taking lots of pictures and have a few to share with you…

The St. Simon’s Island Lighthouse

One of the Alligator’s at the Okefenokee Swamp Park

One of the giant Oak trees in the sub-division where I stayed

I’ll have more pics to share with you later in the week! Sadly we are flying home later on today but I have missed a certain someone a lot and will be happy to see them! 😀

It’s time for my March Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I combined a few sets to make a simple card.

I started by stamping the watercolor strip from the Concord & 9th Seasonal Borders Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock down the left side. Next I stamped the wreath from the Concord & 9th Magnolia Wreath Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño and Noble Fir using my Mini MISTI. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. For my greeting I used the thanks die from the Concord & 9th Fabulous Phrases Dies to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card and a piece of Solar White 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To adhered it to the wreath I used Multi-Matte Medium. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Gold Sequins on the wreath and the card is done! I love that wreath!

I hope that you like the card for my March Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on March 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Paper Craft Crew 280

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! Where has this week gone?! Monday I had the Kiddos and Tristan decided that she wanted to skip her nap! By the time my Brother got home she was cranky! Not gonna lie, I was happy to get to leave! Yesterday I ran into Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary. I had a little Penn Station pizza for lunch before heading back out to the island. My Mum is in a lot of pain, she is allergic to all pain killers apparently, that just is not good! She is doing well with her physical therapy and she gets her staples out this week, hopefully that will help. Oh, Happy Valentine’s Day to you all! I hope that you get to spend some quality time with your love no matter who that is! I have a bunch pf computer stuff to get through today along with some laundry and a little cleaning. How romantic! LOL! 😀

It’s time once again for a new Paper Craft Crew sketch…

I have been wanting to use a new to me set that I picked up at The Ink Pad last week when I was there! I started by stamping some leaves from the Neat & Tangled Calathea Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman, Minty Fresh, Peacock and Freshly Cut Grass onto some Solar White 80lb. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I then stamped more onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added the die cut leaves with 3M Foam Tape and and stamped my greeting in Peacock onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. That is added across the leaves with a few Little Things by Lucy Shimmer Pool Accents. A nice simple card using some of my favorite colors! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have a love filled Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 320

Woke up this morning to the sun shining! A nice change up from yesterday’s rain and snow mix! It’s still really chilly but we are supposed to get up into the high 40’s over the weekend! Looking forward to that! Daniel and Tristan were good as they always are yesterday. Daniel and I played with his new Lego and Tristan and I danced around the house! I love getting to see them every week! When I came home Taylor was waiting for me and we spent the rest of the evening watching Netflix. A nice relaxing way to end the day! I have a lot to get accomplished today, the list keeps growing and I need to whittle it down a bit! 😀

I got a bunch of new goodies from Concord & 9th and I was dying to use them! That resulted in my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

They released a set of Monogram Stamps and I had to have them all! Today I used the B to make a simple birthday card. I stamped it in Hippo using my Mini MISTI. The flowers are stamped in Sugarplum, Sunflower and some Jalapeño for the leaves. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die that leaves a nice stitched edge around the letter! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped a few images from the Concord & 9th Love You, Mean It Photopolymer Stamp Set in the same colors. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto Black 110lb and cut out with another one of the Dies from the Monogram Set. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhere the B and some 3M Foam Tape for the greeting. A nice simple card with some pops of color! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketch challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have an excellent Thursday! 🙂

Dotty Thank You Two Ways – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Hello again! I’m back with my Guest Designer post for Concord & 9th with more inspiration for the May release! This week we are showcasing the Dotty Turnabout Stamp and the All About You Dies! Each week Jeanette, Vera and myself will be using the same products so you can see how versatile they are! 😀

I love when I can make a card and then use the “leftover” pieces to make a second one don’t you?! To start my cards I used my MISTI and the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with some Minty Fresh, Storm Cloud and Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. For the first card I cut a piece of the stamped paper to 4 x 5 1/4 and used the All About You Dies to cut out the negative you from the paper. I also cut the you out from a piece of Black 110lb along with the the thank. To create the card I adhered a piece of Black 110lb to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is adhered to the card and the you and black outline are adhered back into the negative cut out. All that was left to do was to adhered the thank to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive! Love the bold background and the way the block outline on the you separates it just enough to make it pop!

Since I had the opposite pieces left over from the first card I decided that I would make a second! I adhered the you and the outline to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive along with the thank. Next I used the additional stamps in the Dotty Turnabout Photopolymer Stamps to stamp the lined circles in Minty Fresh and Storm Cloud randomly around the greetings. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Pewter Sequins Finish the card! Waste not want not and I think I actually like this card even more than the first one!

I LOVE that Dotty Turnabout Stamp and the All About You Dies! So much fun to use! Again, how cool is it that you can make your own background paper in any color that you want?! I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer projects for the Concord & 9th Blog! Click here to go to the Concord & 9th post and see what the other Guest Designers have done! Paper Craft Crew 195

Another odd weather day here yesterday! I know we had little tastes of Spring but I’m ready for it to come and stay please! Brian came by and picked me up in the morning so we could go and get some things for my project and drop them off. We stopped by Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee and Brian Had his little girl Savannah with us. She has the most infections little laugh! You just can’t help but smile when you hear it! Renee had fun playing with her for a little bit. On the way home we stopped and got her a Happy Meal from McDonald’s, one of the only things that she will eat! Brian dropped me back off at the house and Heather called. She asked if I wanted to get lunch and go over by her so I stopped at Subway and picked up two sandwiches. Always a good time with Heather! When I got back home Taylor was here doing her usual binge watching bad TV on Hulu! I FaceTimed with Andrea and made my card for today. She got some spiffy new glasses and they look really nice on her! After dinner Taylor and I ran out to Bed Bath and Walmart so I could pick up a few things. Today, yup you guessed it, lots more to get done!

If it’s Wednesday then that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS195 DT Sketch 5-18-2016

I like it when I can use just one stamp set to make a card and that’s what just what I did! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Blue Skies Photopolymer Stamp Set. For the strip across the bottom I heat embossed the clouds in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum and put adhesive on the part that would be hidden behind the square. That square is a piece of Marina Mist that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. The clouds, hot air balloon and banner are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. Some Silver Sequins are added with two Basic Jewels Rhinestones in the middles of the larger ones. I do love that set, the sketched look gives the images a nice soft feel to them. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the cards created by the Team and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂
