Special Day Florals – W Plus 9

Special Day Florals – W Plus 9

I thought that I was going to have a nice relaxing Saturday but then things got busy! I ended up taking a trip into Manhattan to see my friends Jim and Diane and then I ran down to The Ink Pad to see Anna. By the time I got back to Penn Station it was 7:00. I got a text from my friend Chantal telling me that she was at my friend Carol’s out in Babylon for her annual Kentucky Derby Party and would I stop by. I haven’t see Carol in over two years so I took a ride out there. It was so good to catch up! I got home around 10:00 and sat down to make a quick card for today’s post… an hour later and it was finished! LOL! So much for quick! This morning I’m headed up to Nashua New Hampshire with Heather to pick up her new car! Now there is a road trip! čśÇ

My “quick” card that I made really didn’t take that long to make, it was deciding what to use that took the time! I settled on one of my all time favorites from W Plus 9! This set has dies that are solid so I always cut out the paper with the Coordinating Dies first and then do my stamping. All of the floral images and greeting are from the W Plus 9 Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in┬áPeachy Keen, Lobster, Sunflower, Freshly Cut Grass, Noble Fir, Fresh Lavender, Sugarplum and Black Licorice. The greeting is stamped onto another strip of Solar White 80lb. They are arranged on the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then adhered with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. It’s a very simple looking card and that greeting would work for so many different occasions! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you for checking in and have a simple but fun Sunday! čÖé

The two longest days of the week are over! Manhattan was just lovely once again, sunny and really warm! I got in early and went for a walk over to the Apple Store┬áon 14th Street to have a look round. After I was finished I went back to The Ink Pad and finally caught up on my comments! I feel so much better! Barbara and I had a good day, we cycled between having the door open and the air conditioner on! I got the same train out to Babylon as I did yesterday and Brian was waiting at the station for me. We had Taco Bell for dinner and class was fun once again! When I got home I had a cup of coffee and then ran over to see my friend Louis for a bit. I got back to my house around 11:45 and made my card for today. This morning I’m off to Manhattan again to spend the day with Barbara! YAY!

I really liked using the Fresh Cut Florals Set so I decided to use it again. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The photo┬áframe is from the Heidi Swapp Photo Frames Memory Planner Collection and is adhered to the card with Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive. I die cut all of my flowers and leaves using the W Plus 9 Fresh Cut Florals Dies and then stamped them with Simon Says Stamp Rosie Cheeks, Teeny Bikini, Hot Mama, Jellybean and Green Apple Ink using the Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped on a strip of Solar White 80lb in Onyx Black. I adhered it to the card over the frame with Foam Tape. After arranging my flowers and leaves I picked them up with Press n Seal and added Multi-Matte Medium and Foam Tape to the back and then adhered them over the frame too. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added for some sparkle and the card is done! I really do love that W Plus 9 set and I can’t believe how long it has taken me to use it! I hope that you enjoy today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have a stupendous Saturday! čÖé

Paper Players 290

Paper Players 290

Yes, this is the second post for today! I made my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge and I wanted to get to share it before the challenge ended! Here is this week’s challenge…

Paper Players #290

I have to admit, when I first saw these colors I was at a loss! LOL! But then I was digging around in my stash and found a set that I have had for a long time and I don’t think that I have ever used and I got an idea! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my flowers and leaves are form the W Plus 9 Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set. The dies for the set are solid so you cut them first and then stamp the images. The are all stamped in Soft Sky, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzaz and Mossy Meadow. I clustered them around my sentiment banner which is from┬áthe W Plus 9 Basic Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set and are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The outline is stamped in Melon Mambo and the greeting in Rich Razzleberry. All of the┬áleaves are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the flowers and banner with Foam Tape. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Watermelon, Pumpkin and Lime Sorbet Sequins for a little bit of sparkle! I love that Fresh Cut Floras set and can’t believe that I haven’t used it before! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Sorry to bombard you with two posts! Enjoy the rest of your Thursday! čÖé

Many Thanks Floral & The Ink Pad!

A good afternoon to you! I had a nice lazy morning and then went out to brunch with Heather and Michael. We just went to the local Deli and sat outside, but it was very nice and quiet. Yesterday I was in Manhattan all day at The Ink Pad. I helped Michael in the morning until Barbara got in. He did a few demos of Color Bursts and Stick-It. As an added bonus Sally Field came into the store with her grandson. She was very sweet and unassuming. After work Michael, Barbara, Jane and I went out to dinner at Umami Burger. We had these sweet potato fries that were covered in maple syrup and bacon, they were absolute heaven! The burgers were quite good too as were the panko onion rings. A very nice way to spend a Saturday! Here is a little shot of the front of The Ink Pad…

So today I have another simple card. I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp in Pale Blush Pink directly onto the card front. My panel is a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb, I stamped the flowers in the same pink and the leaves in Green Apple from the Simon Says Stamp Many Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set. My greeting is stamped in Black and some Fun Foam and SNAIL adheres the panel to the card. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins give a little shine and complete the card. I hope that you enjoyed my simple Sunday card! Thanks for coming by to visit with me today even though I’m late! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! čÖé
