Quint-Essential Cute Flourishes Indigo Pool CAS

Hello everyone! How are we all doing today? It’s Wednesday so we are halfway there people! The best part is I realized today that Monday is a holiday! Three day weekend!! Woo hoo! Today’s post is a Clean and Simple card, although from the supply list it doesn’t look that way. It honestly took me about 25 minutes to come up with and make the card. The base of the card is Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped an image from the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set in Pool Party and the greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set stamped in Island Indigo. The Quint-Essential Flower is definitely one of my more neglected stamps. I have come up with a clever way to incorporate it more. I stamped it in Island Indigo and then again in Pool Party. Using the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch I punched them both out. I then used the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle punch to punch out the Pool Party one. The middle of that piece is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and again with the 1/2″ Circle Punch. I assembled the flower using a Shaker Frame for the flower and a Stampin Dimensional for the middle piece. A Vintage Faceted Designer Button with a Basic Jewels Rhinestone finishes of the flower. Using the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch I punched a circle out of the front of the card. I used some SNAIL to adhere the punched circle to the inside and then adhered the flower to that. A few more Basic Jewels Rhinestones complete the card. For a card that is basically just punching and stamping I like the little wow factor that the punched circle gives. As you can see in the pictures when you close it the stamped image continues inside and also makes it easy to see where you can write. I hope that enjoyed today’s card and thanks so much for checking in with me. Don’t forget to leave a comment and have a great day!

Pals Paper Arts 141

Good morning peeps! Hopefully we can safely put Monday’s debacle behind us now for good! I hope that you are all having a good week, mine is going well. Busy as always but I like it like that. Today’s post is for the bi-weekly Pals Paper Arts Challenge. We have a nice simple sketch this week…

I decided to keep my card nice and simple too. The base of the card is Pink Pirouette Card Stock. I used two different patterns from the Fan Fair Designer Series Paper pack to go along with the sketch. The pocket is made from another piece of Pink Pirouette using my Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I was looking through the multipack of Starbuck’s Tazo tea and was happy to discover that the Chia Tea packaging matched the Stampin’ Up! color More Mustard! I stamped the image from the Tea Shoppe Stamp set in more Mustard and cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. I cut another piece out with a larger one and used the Festive Paper Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool to pierce around the edge. Both pieces a mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the Pink Pirouette and the More Mustard combo more that I thought I would and I love the little pocket on the front of the card to hold the two tea bags. I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge card. Thank you so much for checking in with me today. Have a great day!

Gray Primrose I Am… Affection Birthday

Good morning and welcome to Saturday! What are all of you up to this weekend? I have the bridal shower today and a friend’s party tomorrow. I also have a ton of cards to make so I will be busy but in my favorite way! A few weeks ago it was my friend Danielle’s Birthday and here is what I made for her as a little gift set. The card and the box both use the Affection Collection Stamp Set, it is definitely one of my favorites from the Holiday Catalog. The base of the card is Basic Gray that I stamped in Basic Gray with the Distressed Dots Background Stamp. I was unable to go to Convention this year but a very good friend of mine was lucky enough to go and gave me the Convention Stamp Set I Am… and I love it. That is where the main greeting for the card comes from and it is stamped in Primrose Petals and cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. A piece of Vellum cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits is placed behind it and mounted to the card with Stampin Dimensionals on top of a piece of Primrose Petals that I used the Essentials Paper -Piercing Pack on and flagged the ends. The you are is also from that set and is stamped in Primrose Petals and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies and mounted to a piece of Primrose Petals that is punched out with the Small Oval Punch. Two Basic Jewels Pearls on the top and bottom give a little bling. The Happy Birthday is from the From My Heart Stamp Set, stamped in Primrose Petals and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. A piece of Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon is placed behind it. The winged heart is from the Affection Collection Stamp Set and is again stamped in Primrose Petals and a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper punched out with the Small Heart Punch is adhered to the center with a Mini Glue Dot and a Stampin’ Dimensional holds it on the card.

Next up we have the box which is made using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The top of the box starts with a piece of Whisper White that is cut out with the Floral Frames Framelits Dies and Embossed with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Next up is a piece of Primrose Petals that is cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies and I used the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack to pierce the edge. On top of that is a rosette that is made using the Simply Scored from a piece of Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper. A piece of Vellum stamped with the celebrate banner from the Priority Mail Host(ess) Stamp Set in Basic Gray and Punched out with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch is placed under a duplicate of the wings from the card.

Finally we have the little initial magnet. I stamped some images from the Affection Collection Stamp Set in Basic Gray and Primrose Petals on Whisper White. The initial is from the Lovely Letters Alphabet Stamp Set and is stamped in Primrose Petals and punched out with the 1″ Square Punch. I punched a piece of Basic Gray out with the 1 1/4″ Square Punch to back it and adhered it to the Whisper White. It is all placed in a acrylic photo magnet. For a little extra coordination I stamped the tissue paper with coordinating stamps.

It seems to me like I tried to use as many different items as I could! I never really pay attention to the stuff I am using while I am creating the project but when I go to blog it I see all that I used. LOL! I hope that you enjoyed seeing Danielle’s Birthday gift set as much as did. Thank you very much for visiting and have a wonderful day! 🙂

Red Gumball 3D Star Christmas

Good morning and happy humpday to you! I just wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for stopping by and leaving comments, you propel my creativity to new heights and I really appreciate it! For today’s card I went with some traditional holiday colors. It has sort of a rustic modern country feel to it! 😛 The base of the card is Real Red Card Stock. I took a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock and used the Woodgrain Background Stamp with Crumb Cake Ink for the background. I cut it a little smaller than usual and flagged the bottom. Then I used some Vellum Card Stock and the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set stamped in Gumball Green for the greeting. The vellum is adhered to the Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon to hide the adhesive and the ribbon is adhered to the back of the Crumb Cake. For a little added detail I punched out some Gumball Green with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and cut the strip in half and used some 2-Way Glue to adhere it to the back of the flagged ends and then mounted the whole thing to the card with SNAIL. I used the Window Frames Collection Framelits to cut out a piece of Gumball Green and paper-pierced the edge using the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack. The star is cut from a piece of Real Red and I used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score from the point to the peak on opposite sides and the creased it up. Some Multipurpose Adhesive is used to hold it to the card. I love the 3 D star and have to come up with a way to make it detach so it could be used an ornament. I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and thank you again for stopping by. Enjoy your day!

Paper Players #108

A good Monday morning everyone, or at least I’m hoping that it turns out to be. I always try to start the week off as optimistic as possible! Fingers crossed that we all have good weeks from now on. My brother and his fiancé were up from PA this weekend. She had her hair and makeup trial and her second to last dress fitting. It was also her birthday yesterday so we had some red velvet cake, which is my favorite! Happy Birthday Erika!

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. This week Ann has given us a color challenge…

I’m loving the colors! I decided that I would try to come up with a different kind of card. I love anything 3D so I did a card that has a framed front and folds flat and still fits inside a standard envelope. Another good part, it uses standard 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper. The base of the card is Crumb Cake Card Stock cut to 5 1/2″ x 9 1/2″ and scored at 1/2″, 1″, 4 3/4″ and 5 1/4″ with my Simply Scored. All of the stamped images are from the Papaya Collage Stamp Set. I cut a frame out of a piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the frame image in Not Quite Navy and cut a piece out of the card base the same size as the inside of the frame. Another piece of Very Vanilla is stamped a few times with the leaves image in Crumb Cake and mounted to inside. The bird and the butterflies are stamped in Cherry Cobbler and cut out with my Paper Snips. The bird is mounted to the leaves with Stampin Dimensionals and the butterflies with SNAIL. Two Basic Jewels Pearls on each one make the bodies. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Not Quite Navy and backed with a piece of Not Quite Navy Card Stock. The piece of Cherry Cobbler along the right side was cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies and a thin piece of Comfort Café Designer Series Paper was added on top. I am really liking this card and it wasn’t to difficult to make. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Paper Players Challenge card and that you will be having a great day and fantastic week! Thank you for visiting!

Red Pool Preserved Hearts Card & Box

Hello everyone and happy Saturday! Who doesn’t love the weekend?! I, as usual, have lots to do. I think if there were two of me I might be able to get everything done but I’m sure that most of us feel that way. My perfect solution would be never having to sleep again! Anyway, on to today’s post which was a birthday gift for my boss Nancy. It’s a card and a gift box that held an iPod nano. I love being able to make a box that perfectly fits whatever is going inside. The base of the card is Naturals White Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Pool Party with the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. Again with my Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool, I know, I just can’t get enough of it. It gives that little extra detail that is nice and bold yet subtle at the same time. I used a piece of Real Red and Pool Party, flagged the ends and pierced both and added a piece of Real Red 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon to the mix and adhered them to the card with some Sticky Strip. The jar and lid are from the Friendship Preserves Stamp set and are stamped in Pool Party and Real Red. I used the coordinating Cannery Framelits Dies to cut them out. The hearts are Real Red and I used the Fashionable Hearts Embosslit to cut them out. They are all adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the One in a Million Stamp Set and is stamped in Real Red, punched out with the Scallop Oval Punch and backed with a piece of Real Red punched out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. For a little extra detail I “threaded” a Brights Collection Designer Button with Whisper White Card Stock and adhered it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot. The box contains the same elements and I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to create it. I think Nancy liked the box and card more than the iPod and I hope that you enjoyed it too. Thank you so very much for checking in with me today. Have an awesome Saturday! 🙂

Indigo Pool Preserves Paper Bow Box & Card

Good morning everyone, how was your Monday? Mine was great! I hosted card class last night. We did a 3D project base on a box I made a few weeks ago and a 3 x 3 card. The paper bow was a request form my talented friend Sandy, her wish is my command! The box is made from Island Indigo and Pool Party card stock cut to 5 1/4″ and 7 1/4″. I scored the bottom at 1″ and 2″ on all four sides. The top is scored at 1/2″ and 1″ on all four sides but slightly moved over so that the lid fits perfectly. The top of the box has a piece of Island Indigo and to that I mounted a piece of Naturals White Card Stock that I embossed with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I punched out a piece of Island Indigo with the Decorative Label Punch and a piece of Pool Party with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch. They are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bow is made from Naturals White and is stamped in Island Indigo with the Border Banter Stamp Set. The 1″ Square Punch is used to flag the ends of the bottom pieces. I wrapped a piece of Island Indigo around the middle and mounted it to the punched pieces with a Stampin’ Dimensional. In the middle I used a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and some Whisper White Bakers Twine to tie the greeting that is stamped from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set in Island Indigo. The Bitty Banners Framelits Dies is used to cut it out and the hole is punched with the 1/16″ Handheld Punch.

The base of the 3 x 3 card is Naturals White Card Stock. I added a piece of Pool Party to the front. Using the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack and the Paper-Piercing Tool I pierced a window. The stamped image is from the Friendship Preserves Stamp Set and is stamped in Island Indigo. I used the Window Frames Framelits Dies to cut out the stamped image and then mounted it to a piece of Pool Party that is cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I hope that you enjoyed the projects that we made at card class. Thank you for visiting and have a super day!

Freshly Made Sketches #44

Woo hoo! It’s FRIDAY! I loves me some Friday! What is everyone doing for the weekend? I am wishing that I was at Stampin’ Up! Convention, but hopeful next year. I still have big plans to get a lot of stuff done this weekend, I’ll let you know how I do!

Today’s post is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. This week Jen M. has give us this nice simple sketch…

I decided that I liked the rosette card so much that I made last week that I would do another one. This sketch is perfect for it and the only change I made was to switch the circles. The base of the card is Baja Breeze Card Stock. I used the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch to punch out the circle on the front of the card. Some Floral District Designer Series Paper and the Simply Scored make a really nice simple rosette. I used some Mini Glue Dots to hold the rosette together and the 3/4″ Circle punch and another piece of Floral District DSP to cove the middle. The circle to the left is from the Lacy and Lovely Stamp Set and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry and punched out with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. I used the 2 1/2″ Circle punch to crop of the one side and adhered it to the card with SNAIL flush against the side of the circle I punched out of the card. The butterflies are cut out from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit in Rich Razzleberry, Tangerine Tango and Rose Red Card Stock. They are all adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Hello is also from the Lacy and Lovely Stamp set and is stamped in Rose Red, cut out with my Paper Snips and also mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I threaded two Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons with Whisper White Bakers Twine and adhered them to the center of the rosette and other circle with Mini Glue Dots. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge card. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Friday!

Indigo Limeade Mini Milk Preserved Pair and Sneak Peek

Good day to you all. It’s Thursday and that means that we are one more day closer to the weekend! I have big plans to get a lot accomplished this weekend, we’ll see how that goes. For today’s post I made a little 3 x 3 z-fold card and a Mini Milk Carton to go with it. The card starts off with a base of Naturals White Card Stock cut to 3″ x 9″ and scored at 1 1/2″, 3″, 6″ and 7 1/2″. I embossed a pice of Lucky Limeade with the new Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder* and adhered it to the front panels. The stamped images are from the new Perfectly Preserved* Stamp Set and are cut out with the new Cannery Framelits Dies*. The jar is stamped in Island Indigo and a piece of Island Indigo Bakers Twine is tied around the mouth. The pear is stamped in Lucky Limeade and the leaves in Chocolate Chip. The just for you is also stamped in Island Indigo and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. They are all mounted to the belly band of Island Indigo, the pear and greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Mini Milk Carton is cut out with the Mini Milk Carton Bigz Die from another piece of Naturals White Card Stock. I used Sticky Strip to hold it together. A piece of Island Indigo is used for the background behind a repeat of the pear from the card. The thank you is stamped in Island Indigo and I used the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies to cut out a piece of Lucky Limeade to mount behind it. A Stampin’ Dimensional makes sure that you can still open the milk carton without bending the greeting. I’m loving the color combination. The new Perfectly Preserved* Stamp Set and Cannery Framelits Dies* are some of my favorites from the new Holiday Catalog. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and thank you so much for stopping by. Enjoy your Thursday everyone!

Beautiful Wings Tag Rosette Box

Good morning peeps! How are you all doing today? I’m doing well, I have scrapbook class tonight! I always look forward to an evening of creativity! For today’s post I have made a cute little 3″ x 3″ x 1 1/4″ box. The bottom of the box is Wisteria Wonder and the top is Basic Gray. I used my Simply Scored to make the box and Sticky Strip to hold it together. To decorate the top of the box I started with a piece of Wisteria Wonder Card Stock that I flagged the ends on with my Paper Snips and then used my Bone Folder to curl them ever so slightly. The next piece is a scalloped piece that I cut out with the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die in Pool Party. I used the Simply Scored and a pice of First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper to create the rosette. The gray piece is stamped with the Lacy and Lovely Stamp Set in Basic Gray and punched out with the new 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch* from the Holiday Catalog. On top of that are two butterflies, one in Wisteria Wonder and one in Pool Party, that I cut out with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit. I stamped the greetings from the Tiny Tags Stamp Set in Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Basic Gray and punched them out with the Jewelry Tag Punch. Some Wisteria Wonder Bakers Twine is used to tie them to the Vintage Faceted Designer Button and that is adhered to the butterfly with a Mini Glue Dot. I really love the color combination and I am loving the rosettes! I hope that you enjoyed today’s box and thank you, as always, for checking in. Have an awesome day! 🙂
