Sweet Bitty Butterfly Chevron Box

Good morning! I hope that everyone had a safe and happy Independence Day and that you have all of you digits still! I went with my friend Kim and my daughter Taylor to a party at my friend Carol’s. I got to see all of my peeps there and the food was great. There was a Sabrett hot dog vendor and a raw bar, clam bake and lobsters. After that we went to Kim & Brian’s and I got to see my favorite little girl Izzy and my other peeps who I have missed so much! All in all it was a great day!

Today’s project is a CASE from the 2012-2013 Catalog. I changed up the colors and greeting and a few other things too. The box is made from Baja Breeze and Soft Suede Card Stock using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The top of the box decoration starts with a piece of Naturals White Card Stock that I cut on both top and bottom with the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies. The piece of Baja Breeze on top is embossed using the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I cut another piece of Naturals White with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies and adhered that to the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The butterflies are punched from Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede Card Stock with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and also adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the Bitty Buttons to the butterflies. The greeting is from the Sweet Essentials Stamp Set and is stamped in Baja Breeze on Crumb Cake and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. What a nice way to give a good friend a stack of Lotto tickets or some handmade cards. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and thank you for visiting. Have a great day!

Tangerine Razzleberry Floral Occasion Box

A big hello to you all today. How did every fare with their Monday? Mine was good, I had card class and my daughter comes with me so it makes fun! Plus the other people are great, we always have a laugh. 🙂

Today’s project is a little gift box. The dimensions of it are 3″ x 3″ x 1″. I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to make the box, the bottom of which is Rich Razzleberry and the top is Tangerine Tango. To decorate the top I started with a piece of Whisper White Card Stock and used the Large Scallop Finishing Touches Edgelit Die on both sides. On top of that is a piece of Floral District Designer Series Paper. Then I took a piece of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock and flagged the ends on both sides with my Paper Snips. The rosette is also made from a piece of Floral District DSP and scored with the Simply Scored. I used two scraps of card stock punched out with the 1″ Circle punch and glue dots to hold it together. For a little extra detail I punched out a piece of Rich Razzleberry with the Curly Label Punch and used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack around the outside edge. The stamped images are from the A Fitting Occasion Stamp Set and are stamped in Tangerine Tango and Baja Breeze ink and then punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. I adhered both of the top pieces with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the bright colors and am a big fan of the rosette. What a great little box to give someone a little handmade stack of gift cards. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and that you will make some boxes of your own. Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Paper Players #102

Hello everyone and happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was good, I got to see some friends, craft and my brother and his fiancé picked up the Wedding invitations! I’m so happy they are finished and that they were happy with them. Next up… thank you cards! 🙂

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. This week we have a theme challenge, Christmas in July…

I was very happy to get to use some of my new Christmas stamps. The base of my card is Cherry Cobbler Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of the card. The greeting at the top is from the Cheerful Christmas Stampin’ Around Wheel. I used the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to punch out the letters. Then I used the Ticket Duo Builder Punch with Gumball Green Card Stock and adhered the letters to it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The middle is a piece of Cherry Cobbler cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. I stamped the image from the Chock-Full of Cheer Stamp Set in Gumball Green and punched it our with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. The ornament loop is stamped in VersaMark and the heat embossed with Pewter Stampin’ Emboss Powder. In the middle is a Vintage Faceted Designer Button with a piece of Cherry Cobbler punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Basic Jewels Rhinestone adhered in the center. The whole thing is mounted to the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The paper bow at the top was also stamped in Cherry Cobbler using the Cheerful Christmas Wheel and cut and assembled with Sticky Strip. Another Rhinestone is adhered in the middle. The bottom image is also from the Chock-Full of Cheer Stamp Set and is stamped in Gumball Green. I used still more Rhinestones in the middle of each image and mounted it to a piece of Gumball Green Card Stock and still more Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. I’m loving the brighter Gumball Green for the holiday’s this year. I hope that you enjoyed today’s Paper Players Challenge card and that you are inspired to make some holiday cards too. Thank you so much for visiting and have a great day!

Happy Anniversary Cathy & Paul!

Good morning all! How is everyone’s weekend so far? Mine has been great! I finished the Wedding invites, made a few boxes, saw my friend Carol and then went to the city with my daughter to see my friends that are in town from Missouri. Angie, Katey, Dawn, Mackenzie, Kim, Taylor and I all went to Central Park and then just hung out at the apartment and laughed and talked. It was so good to see everyone and I hope to go and see them soon. 🙂

Today’s project was made for my friend Carol to give to our friends Cathy & Paul for their Anniversary. It consists of a box and card. The box is made with the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. The top is Pool Party and the bottom is Crumb Cake. I adhered a photo of the lovely couple with SNAIL and used my Paper Cutter to cut out the Crumb Cake frame around the photo. The images are from the Happy Hour Stamp Set and are stamped in Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo and cut out with my Paper Snips. The top greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Calypso Coral and punched out with the Large Oval Punch. I took a thin strip of Pool Party and flagged the ends and mounted it behind the oval for a little more interest. For the lower greeting I used the Memorable Moments Stamp Set and stamped it in Island Indigo and punched that out with the Extra Large Oval Punch. Three Basic Jewels Rhinestones complete the box and give it a little bling!

The card is made using the Note Cards & Envelopes Pack. The card is 3 1/2″ x 5″. I embossed some Island Indigo with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front on top of a piece of Crumb Cake. The two champagne glasses are from the Embellished Events Stamp Set and are stamped in Pool Party and cut out with my Paper Snips. I added some more Basic Jewels Rhinestones to the bubbles and adhered them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypso Coral. I used the Word WIndow Punch to punch it out and then a piece of Calypso Coral, punched out with the Modern Label Punch, is placed behind it. I really like the project and love that it all coordinates even though it’s different stamp sets. I hope that you enjoyed today’s project and that you are inspired to make some boxes! Thank you so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Happy Anniversary Cathy & Paul!

Teeny Bitty Fancy Fan Indigo Pool Box

Good morning people! It was a scorcher here in New York yesterday. It got up to 94 degrees and it’s supposed to go up to 98 degrees today but feel more like 105! Where is my nice weather from this past weekend?! This is way too hot for me. It’s supposed to get a little more bearable over the weekend. How is the weather by you? Leave a comment and let me know! For today’s post I decided that I would show you one of the boxes that I made over the weekend. I need to take little creative breaks while I was making the Wedding Invites so I did some 3D projects. The box is made using the Simply Scored. I used a piece of 12″ x 12″ Pool Party Card Stock for the top and bottom of the box and scored on all four sides at 2 1/4″ and 4 1/2″. On the top I used a piece of Island Indigo Card Stock and to that I added a piece of Naturals White Card Stock that I embossed using the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Under the paper bow is a piece of Island Indigo that I cut out with the Lots of Tags Sizzlits and a piece of Pool Party that I punched out with the Tags Duo Builder Punch, they are adhered to the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The paper bow is Naturals White cut to 1/2″ and stamped with the friend to friend stamp from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set in Island Indigo ink. A 1/2″ piece of Island Indigo holds it together. The for you is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and is cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. I punched a hole and used White Bakers Twine and a Vintage Faceted Button secured with a Mini Glue Dot to the top of the bow. I really do love the paper bows and the Vintage Faceted Buttons are a great way to add a little sparkle to your project. I hope that you are inspired to make your own box and paper bows. Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Paper Players – Happy 100th Challenge!

Good morning everyone! I hope that you all had a nice weekend. I had a very nice weekend. I spent a good part of it making the wedding invitations for my brother’s wedding. My daughter Taylor was here for most of the weekend with me and she helped a lot. I also went to lunch on Father’s Day with my parents, brother, his fiancé and my daughter. The weather was perfect here too, all in all it was a pretty awesome weekend! Today’s post is for the Paper Players who are celebrating their 100th challenge this week! Wow! 100 challenges, that’s pretty impressive!

This week you got to go through the archives and choose a previous challenge to base your card on. I chose challenge #88…

I started with a base of Pool Party Card Stock. Using my Big Shot I ran a piece of So Saffron Card Stock through it using the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamped images are from the You’re Amazing Stamp Set and the ballon is stamped in Not Quite Navy and cut out with my Paper Snips. I mounted it to a background of Pool Party that is embossed with the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and backed with a piece of Not Quite Navy. They are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the winner tickets in Pool Party and punched them out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch. The happy birthday is also from the You’re Amazing Stamp Set and is stamped in Not Quite Navy and I used the circle from the Itty Bitty Shaped Punch Pack to create the ticket corners. Behind that is a piece of Pool Party that I embossed using the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Embossing Folders. Along the bottom edge is a piece of Not Quite Navy that I punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. For a little something extra to help the Paper Players celebrate I made a matching box. The box is made uses the Simply Scored Scoring Tool which makes 3D projects a breeze. The paper bow was inspired by the cover of the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog. I really like them and I actually made a few of them and I’ll post them later in the week. It’s 1/2″ strips of Pool Party Card Stock and I used the happy birthday from the From My Heart Stamp Set to stamp the strips. I then flagged the ends of the bottom two strips and curled the top two pieces and formed some circles. It’s all stacked and adhered with Sticky Strip. The other images are from the same set I used on the card, You’re Amazing. I hope that you like this weeks Paper Players 100th Challenge card and box. Congratulations again the fabulous ladies over there and here’s to 100 more challenges! Have a great day! 🙂

Paper Players #99

Hello peeps! How was everyone’s Monday? Mine was ok, at least the weather was nice. Have you left your comment on yesterday’s post to enter to win some blog candy? If not you get to the post here. So, head on back and leave a comment. The winner will be announced Friday morning! Now, for today’s post I have made another one of my 3D Window Cards for this week’s Paper Players. Lesley has given us the following color challenge…

I started with a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock cut to 12″ x 5 1/2″. If you want the full instructions on how to make the card contact me and I’ll be happy to send them to you. The background is a piece of Melon Mambo Card Stock that is embossed with the Argyle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The stamp is the World’s Greatest Wood Mount that I stamped twice in Lucky Limeade and cut out with my Paper Snips and then cut out the “World’s” and mounted it on Stampin’ Dimensionals. On the next layer I stamped the elephant from the You’re Amazing Stamp Set in Basic Grey and cut him out with my Paper Snips and stamped his hat again in Melon Mambo and cut that out and mounted it to him with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The friend is from the Family Reunion Stamp Set and is also stamped in Basic Grey and backed with a piece of Basic Grey Card Stock. I stamped the small ticket image, also from the You’re Amazing Stamp Set, in Basic Grey, Melon Mambo and Lucky Limeade quite a few times and punched them out with the Ticket Duo Punch. I then used some Two-Way Glue to adhere them around the frame of Crumb Cake Card Stock. I love the color combination and the You’re Amazing Stamp Set is quickly becoming one of my favorites! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and thank you, as always, for checking in. Have a great day!

CCMC 204 Up, Up & Away Birthday

Good morning everyone, happy Saturday! What kind of plans do you all have for the Weekend? I’m off to the city today for a bit to see a friend and do some consulting. I love going to Manhattan! Today’s card is for this weeks Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. This week we have a color challenge…

I am a big fan of the 2011-2013 In-Colors and Early Espresso was one of the first colors I got when I joined Stampin’ Up! I was also a little inspired by the new layout of the Create with Connie and Mary blog. I made a 3D window card using some 12″ x 12″ Wisteria Wonder Card Stock cut to 5 1/2″ x 12″. It is scored at 1/2″, 3 1/2″, 4″, 7″, 8″ and 11″. The windows are cut out of the two larger sides so when you fold it the middle is the back of the card. The best thing about this card is that it folds flat and fits in a standard medium envelope. The clouds in the background were made using the Cupcake Builder Punch. The frosting makes great clouds! I stamped the birds from the Up, Up & Away Stamp Set in Early Espresso. The balloons are stamped in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade and the baskets are stamped in Early Espresso. On two of the baskets I used tiny pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to give them a little more depth. The greeting is stamped in Early Espresso too and the flags are stamped in Wisteria Wonder. I thought the card need a little bling so I used 4 of the Basic Jewels Rhinestones on the four corners of the greeting.I love these 3D cards and hope that you enjoyed it too. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to pay me a visit! Have an awesome Saturday!!

Betsy’s Elements Suede Party Box and Sneak Peek

Good Thursday Morning to all of my blog peeps! I hope that you are all having a good week. Now that it’s almost over mine is getting much better. Today I decided that it was time that I did some kind of 3D project. I love 3D projects and this one isn’t all that complicated. I started with two pieces of 5″ Pool Party Card Stock and used my Simply Scored to score it on all four sides at 1/2″ and 1″. Then I cut off the the outer rectangles and put a slit between the rest of them making four tabs. Some folding and Sticky Strip and the box is all done. I stamped a piece of Whisper White Card Stock with the flower burst image from the Betsy’s Blossoms Stamp Set** in Pool Party and punched it out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. Then I stamped a pice of Soft Suede Card Stock with the script image from the French Foliage Stamp Set in Soft Suede and punched that out with the Scallop Oval Punch. I took a piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon and placed it behind the oval and adhered it to the flower burst with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The butterfly is from the Creative Elements Stamp Set and is also stamped in Pool Party and I cut that out with my Paper Snips. The for you is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set** and is stamped in Soft Suede and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies**. The butterfly and banner are also adhered with Stampin Dimensionals. It’s a great size box to give a piece of jewelry or even just a cookie to someone special. I hope that you like today’s project. Thanks for stopping by… oh, and don’t forget that tomorrow, June 1st at 2:00PM EST is when you can start ordering from the 2012-2013 Idea Book & Catalog!
