Thanks Peach – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello peeps! It’s been a while I know! I hope that you all have been well. I’m enjoying my Summer and hope that you all are too. Not too sure what I’m up to today but it’s supposed to be in the 90’s so maybe a trip into the city?! 😀

It’s time for my August Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I love the new Dip Dyed Cards and Envelopes that Concord released last month so I used one to make my card for today! I started by heat embossing the thank you from the Triple-Step Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Iridescent Vellum using my Mini MISTI and then cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. The peach is from the same set and is stamped in Carrot and Cranberry for the peach and Noble Fir for the leaf. The Coordinating Dies cut that out too. I stamped the you’re a peach in Peacock and then used 3M Foam Tape to adhered the thank you and the peach to the card base. Don’t those Dip Dyed cards make cool backgrounds?!

I hope that you like the card for my August Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on August 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! We will also be helping celebrate Concord & 9th Birthday this month with posts featuring the NEW release every Friday! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!! 🙂

SIP Challenge 158 – Christmas in July!

Hello peeps! Just popping in with a quick post for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge. The actual Stamp, Ink, Paper site is having major issues this morning so the post won’t be up for a little while. But the Design Team has all of their posts up and I’ll link to them below! Now for this week’s challenge badge…

I used some old and new sets from Concord & 9th for my card. To start I heat embossed the lightbulb from the Concord & 9th Shine On Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Gold Metallic 27lb Vellum. The top of the bulb is also heat embossed in Silver onto a piece of Ionized Curious Metallic. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. Onto a piece of Solar White 80lb I heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder using my Mini MISTI so that I could do it twice to make it a little brighter. The background with the greeting is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock. I added the bulb with 3M Foam Tape and then a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card. I do love the simplicity and metallic elements on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Once the BLOG is up I hope that you will check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Mixed Media!

Happy Monday! I trust that you all had a nice weekend! I did! Yesterday I went out East with a friend, we had lunch by a stream and then stopped in Port Jefferson on the way back. It was the perfect day for a road trip in the convertible! I also picked up a Rhubarb Pie, my Great Grandmother used to grow Rhubarb and makes pies when I was little! The pie wasn’t as good as hers but it definitely brought back memories! 😀

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

I got use one of the NEW Stamp and Die Sets from this month’s release to make my card! I also dug out some Glitter Paste and used a lot of pink and a little ribbon, now there are a few things I don’t often use! My background is a piece of Iridescent Pink 65lb Card. I used my Palette Knife to add Bo Bunny Sugar Glitter Paste through the Concord & 9th Retro Petals Turnabout Stencil and set it aside to dry. From the Concord & 9th Laurel Frame Photopolymer Stamp Set I stamped the wreath in Jalapeño and Noble Fir and the flowers in Ballet Slippers, Peachy Keen and Bubblegum using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Once the background was dry I added a piece of Stampin’ Up! 1 1/4″ Pink Pirouette Ribbon and adhered it around the back. The background is then added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To adhere the wreath and flowers I used 3M Foam Tape. Finally, I cut out the hello, also from the Laurel Frames Dies, from more 110lb and used Multi-Matte Medium to add it to the ribbon. The pictures don’t do the Sugar Paste justice, it’s subtle but nice and sparkly!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Mixed Media Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Head over to the BLOG for more inspiration! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

City Welcome – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello peeps! I hope that you all had a safe and happy 4th of July! I went out to my friend Carol’s and got to see a bunch of friends that I haven’t seen in a while which is always a good time!

It’s time for my July Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! You know that I love a little cityscape and the new City Stacks Stamps and Dies are perfect for making a little scene!

I started by heat embossing the buildings from the Concord & 9th City Stacks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto some different shades of Grey 110lb Card Stock. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. For my card base I blended Hero Arts Soft Pool Ink onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to create a subtle sky. I wanted to make the card easy to mail so I added the different building to the card front with E-Z Runner. The welcome is cut from Silver Glitter Card and adhered to the bottom with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Pretty simple but I do love the different “streets” of buildings!

I hope that you like the card for my July Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Sparkle & Shine!

Hello again! Two days in a row! I’m trying to get back to being crafty, a little Mojo here and there. I had a nice quiet evening last night, just hung out with Cali and watched some TV. Today I have some cleaning and laundry to do. I also have to get my stuff together for tomorrow’s road trip to PA. I do love a good road trip! 😀

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

Who doesn’t like a little sparkle and shine?! I went for a super simple card with a lot of sparkle and shine! I stared by die cutting the Concord & 9th Bitty Thank You Die from Black 110lb three times so that I could stack them together for a little depth. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock has a piece of Silver Glitter Card adhered to the front and then I used Multi-Matte Medium to adhere the thank you! A super simple card that would make a great wedding thank you card! If you wanted to mass produce them you could skip the stacked die to speed up the process!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Sparkle & Shine Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Fab Friday 139 – Sketch!

Happy Friday! I had a fun week. I went into Manhattan on Monday and stopped by The Ink Pad to see Anna and then headed uptown to se my friend Jim. I has been back to cooler weather here, I guess the Summer will show up eventually! This weekend I’m taking a ride up to PA with Kim to do a few errands for Jim. Should be a fun day! 😀

It’s time once again for a new Fab Friday challenge…

A nice simple sketch! I started my card by heat embossing the heart from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Glitter Embossing Powder onto a piece of Iridescent 53lb Vellum. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also heat embossed the greeting in same powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. For my card front I used the We R Memory Keepers Gemstone Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some foam tape to the back of the greeting and hid some behind the heart to attach it to my card base. I love that Gemstone Embossing Folder and thought that it looked pretty cool with the Geode Heart! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for spending some of your Friday with me! 🙂

Retro You’re My Jam – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hi everyone! It’s time for my June Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! When I saw the new Mix Tape Stamps and Dies I had to have them! Brings back memories of my youth! LOL!

I started by stamping the cassette tape from the Concord & 9th Mix Tape Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice onto Solar White 80lb and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I used some of the other Dies in the Set to cut out the outline of the tape and music notes. I also used another Die to emboss the detail on the Black Die cut. I assembled the cassette tape and used my Mini Misti to stamp the “tape heart” onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I stamped the You’re My Jam onto more Solar White 80lb and cut it out with my Scissors. To assemble the card I used 3m Foam Tape to adhere the cassette tape and greeting to my card base and some Multi-Matte Medium to add the music notes. A nice simple black and white card to give to someone special!

Fab Friday 138 – Colors!

Hello!! How are you all?! I’m good! It was such a beautiful day yesterday, nice and warm and sunny! I had a meeting at Nassau Community College in the morning and then after that I took a little time to sit outside and enjoy! Wednesday I was at The Ink Pad covering the Shop for Anna so that she could go to the Stationary Show at the Javits Center. This past weekend I was in PA with Jim. They had a tornado touch down on the property and it did quite a bit of damage. Thankfully none to Jim’s house. I don’t have any big plans for this weekend, just going to take it easy, what about you guys? 😀

I received some new goodies from Concord & 9th and finally had the urge to make a card! Yay! Been such a long time! That card is for the Fab Friday challenge…

I started by heat embossing the large geode from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Card. Next I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Plastic Flamingo, Peachy Keen and Ballet Slippers Ink. The Coordinating Die cuts out the image. To make it look a little more realistic I painted on Multi-Matte Medium and then added Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter. It’s then added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Grey 110lb on the front for the background. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Geode Dies and is cut from Black 110lb and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love that stamp, such a cool image and not one that I have seen before! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Have a fabulous Friday and a fun weekend! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Floral!

Happy mid-week! The weather has finally gotten a little more Spring like here on Long Island and I’m loving it! I have been making sure that I spend a lot of time outside! Even it’s just sitting in the backyard doing a little reading. Speaking of reading I have read 6 books in the past three weeks! I got a Kindle Paperwhite and am loving it! The series that I just finished is called Breakthrough by Michael Grumley. It was fantastic and I highly recommend it! I also bought a Pallet Buster to easily take apart pallets for some projects. Another highly recommended item! 😀

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

I have been on a wreath kick lately, they make such a nice focal point for a card and they aren’t just for the Holiday’s anymore! I began by stamping the wreath from the Concord & 9th Magnolia Wreath Photopolymer Stamp Set in Freshly Cut Grass and Jalapeño using my Mini MISTI. I then stamped the greeting from the same set in Black Licorice. For the flowers I used the Coordinating Die Set to cut them from some 65lb Rose Quartz Stardream Metallic. To adhere them to the card I used Mini Glue Dots and added a Basic Jewel Rhinestone to the center of each of them for a little sparkle! Another simple card! I do love the metallic look of the flowers, adds a little something extra don’t you think?!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Spring Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Happy Everything Wreath – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Hello! Remember me?! It’s been a while! I have been keeping myself pretty busy doing all sorts of things. Crafting unfortunately has not been one of them! While you are reading this I will be in PA with Jim opening up the Lake House for the Summer season! Oh how I have missed it! Some peace and tranquility for a few days! I’m also really looking forward to the warmer weather! I did go into Manhattan on Thursday to see my friend Ella. It was 92 degrees! A nice little prelude of what’s to come! 😀

Today, It’s time for my May Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I love that Wreath Turnabout Stamp Set, so many color possibilities and so simple to use!

I started my card with a piece of Solar White 80lb cut to 4″ x 4″ and placed it in my Mini MISTI. I used the alignment guide to align the wreath from the Concord & 9th Wreath Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Ballet Slippers, Freshly Cut Grass, Hippo and Merman. Next I heat embossed the greeting from the same set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a strip of 65lb Vellum. Some E-Z Runner Ultra Strong adheres the strip around the back of the stamped panel. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ and folded with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. For a little more sparkle I added some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and the card is done! I do love that wreath and the simple greeting!

I hope that you like the card for my May Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on May 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by!
