Fab Friday 149

Hello friends and a very happy Friday to you! I had a nice day yesterday tile shopping with my friend Kelly. We picked out the shower, wall, floor and shower pan tile for her new bathroom and stopped at Chick-fil-a for lunch. After that I cleaned a little and watched some movies for the rest of the night. I’m off to see the kiddos and my windshield is being replaced today. Tristan and I will hit up McDonald’s for lunch later… if she’s good! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

On another fun note it’s time for a new challenge over on the Fab Friday blog…

I was inspired by this card that Debby Hughes had done the other day. I loved the colors that she used and I just felt like stamping a background myself! I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set andย Soft Pool, Wet Cement, Pumpkin Pie Dye and Mulled Wine Hybrid Ink along with my Mini MISTI so I could stamp the images more than once to make them nice and crisp. The veining in the leaves is all stamped in Cup O Joe and then the background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies. I added it to a circle cut from 65lb Vellum using the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Nested Frame Cuts Dies with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The circle is then adhered to the card with thin slivers of 3M Foam Tape. A little bling was needed in the form of Little Things by Lucyย Shimmering Pool Jewels and The Colors of Fall Sequin Mix! Love the colors of the leaves! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 148

Hello peeps and a very happy Friday to you! I have had a somewhat productive week. Got some projects finished and thought of some new ones to start. I’m off to see the kiddos this morning. Daniel has a bit of a cold a hopefully little miss Tristan will be in a good mood! She is in the terrible twos for sure! If she’s good we’ll be bad and go to Mc’D’s for lunch. ๐Ÿ˜€

Time for a new challenge over on the Fab Friday blog…

Most people see Halloween, not me! LOL! I dug out some oldies but goodies to make my card. It all started with the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake Die cut from some Purple Glitter Paper. I watched one of Kristina Werner’s Holiday card series videos and she made a gorgeous card with all different snowflakes cut from glitter paper. I would like all of the new snowflakes that Simon Says Stamp has released! I do love a snowflake and their ones are great! I happened to remember that there was a stamp set called Holiday Envelopes Sentiments that coordinated with the Eliza Snowflake Die. I stamped the snowflakes in Sugarplum and Carrot randomly onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I adhered the snowflake with Glue Tube. A little sparkle was needed so I added Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Silver Sequins and the card is done! A very simple card with really non-traditional Holiday colors, but you all know that I like that! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for spending some of your Friday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day and have a fabulous weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 147

Another early day with the kiddos but it’s Friday!! I spent the day on Wednesday looking for a new clothes dryer. We have some scratch and dent places around here but most of the stuff there looked like it fell off of the back of a truck doing about 80 MPH! LOL! I settled on a new one, it ended up only being about $100 more than one of the banged up ones. Not sure what’s going on for the weekend, but that’s ok, I do like a surprise from time to time! ๐Ÿ˜€

In my effort to try and get back into creating mode I have a card to share with you today for the new Fab Friday challenge…

More fun with the new release from Concord & 9th! I started my card by heat embossing the large snowflake from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set twice in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Blue Print Curious Metallic and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Set and is heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Steel Navy Embossing Powder onto a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic. I added a few of the snow flakes and then used the rectangle die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut it out. I also cut it from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to frame it. The snowflake is adhered to a card base of Solar White 110lb. I used another die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut out the pine branches from Gold Metallic 27lb Vellum. Some 3M Foam Tape is added to the back of the greeting and the pine branches are added tot he back before it’s added to the card. To finish it off I scattered some Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins and a few Hero Arts Clear Gems. I love that Steel Navy Embossing Powder and the blue and gold together! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and get some more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Fab Friday 139 – Sketch!

Happy Friday! I had a fun week. I went into Manhattan on Monday and stopped by The Ink Pad to see Anna and then headed uptown to se my friend Jim. I has been back to cooler weather here, I guess the Summer will show up eventually! This weekend I’m taking a ride up to PA with Kim to do a few errands for Jim. Should be a fun day! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time once again for a new Fab Friday challenge…

A nice simple sketch! I started my card by heat embossing the heart from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Glitter Embossing Powder onto a piece of Iridescent 53lb Vellum. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also heat embossed the greeting in same powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. For my card front I used the We R Memory Keepers Gemstone Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some foam tape to the back of the greeting and hid some behind the heart to attach it to my card base. I love that Gemstone Embossing Folder and thought that it looked pretty cool with the Geode Heart! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Fab Friday 138 – Colors!

Hello!! How are you all?! I’m good! It was such a beautiful day yesterday, nice and warm and sunny! I had a meeting at Nassau Community College in the morning and then after that I took a little time to sit outside and enjoy! Wednesday I was at The Ink Pad covering the Shop for Anna so that she could go to the Stationary Show at the Javits Center. This past weekend I was in PA with Jim. They had a tornado touch down on the property and it did quite a bit of damage. Thankfully none to Jim’s house. I don’t have any big plans for this weekend, just going to take it easy, what about you guys? ๐Ÿ˜€

I received some new goodies from Concord & 9th and finally had the urge to make a card! Yay! Been such a long time! That card is for the Fab Friday challenge…

I started by heat embossing the large geode from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Card. Next I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Plastic Flamingo, Peachy Keen and Ballet Slippers Ink. The Coordinating Die cuts out the image. To make it look a little more realistic I painted on Multi-Matte Medium and then added Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter. It’s then added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Grey 110lb on the front for the background. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Geode Dies and is cut from Black 110lb and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love that stamp, such a cool image and not one that I have seen before! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Have a fabulous Friday and a fun weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 131

And a happy Friday to you! I was over watching Daniel and Tristan again yesterday. Tristan has given up on her naps, maybe she just likes to spend time with me?! LOL! We had fun as always, she is such a smart little girl! After work Jim came by and we had a little dinner and watched TV. Nice to relax for a bit! This morning I have a lot of computer stuff to get finished and a little cleaning and laundry to do. Not sure what’s on for the weekend but hopefully something fun will materialize! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time once again for a Fab Friday challenge…

I do enjoy a nice simple sketch! Onto my card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of patterned paper from the Pebbles Yours Truly 6×6 Paper Pad down the right side flagging the bottom. My ampersand is from the January 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from apiece of Classic Cherry. I added some sparkle with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to bring out the detail, you can see it much better in real life! It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My you and me is from the stamp set in the Kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto more Classic Cherry. I cut them out and added them to card with more 3M Foam Tape. A few of the sequins from the Kit are added and the card is done! Nice and simple, a good way to spread a little love anytime of the year! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see more inspiration and enter your card in the gallery! Fab Friday 129

Ahh… Friday! I had quite the busy day yesterday and I did manage to get a lot accomplished! Got a few orders packed up and sent out, spoke to a few peeps, ran some errands. Jim came by after work and we had Zorn’s for dinner and then watched TV. This morning I have some crafty projects to work on and a few other things to take care of. I think that I’ll see if I can go into Manhattan on Sunday and see my friend Kim, I need a little city trip and it’s supposed to be nice! ๐Ÿ˜€

Every other week we have a new Fab Friday challenge and it’s one of those weeks! Our inspiration this time is a sketch…

I wanted to do a somewhat one layer card so I took out some Grey 110lb Card Stock and cut it so I could piece it back together by adhering it to a piece of Solar White 80lb. Onto that I stamped the outline rose and leaf images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Granite. In the bottom right corner I heat embossed a greeting from the set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and then adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The heart die cut is from the Hero Arts January My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to add it to the card. I do love the subtle roses in the background and the that delicate heart is so neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 128

A whole day stuck in the house is definitely not for me! When the snow finally stopped around 6:00PM the final total was around 10 inches! But that wasn’t the end of it, the wind is terrible still so it’s blowing all over the place. Have I mentioned how much I dislike the Winter! LOL! I did manage to get some things accomplished and even got some crafty time in! This morning I will be digging my car out and going somewhere… anywhere! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for the first Fab Friday challenge of 2018…

A super quick card using minimal supplies! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the congrats from the Hero Arts Congrats Stamp & Cut in Crimson Hybrid Ink. The sequins are from the same set and stamped in Crimson Hybrid, Lemon Yellow and Emerald Green. I added some Clear Sparkle Pen over all of the sequins for a little shine and done! I have said it before, I love to just stamp a card, nothing else! I hope that you like my Design Team car for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! You can see the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share yours with us in the gallery! I’ll be back at 11:00 with another post so until then thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Friday morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 127

And it’s Friday again! That was another quick week! I find that the end of the year always goes extremely fast, so much going on I guess! I had a pretty productive day yesterday, I got some commenting done while I waited at Jim’s for the repair man to come. They of course have to come back, need a part. Cali was better with the dogs, they were actually all sleeping on the chair together. I headed over to Heather’s early and we ran a few errands before having dinner. Steph came by and later on we ran to Target where we met Taylor. She came back to the house with us. A nice evening as always! No clue what I’m up to this morning! I’ll figure it out! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today is the last Fab Friday challenge of 2017! It’s a fun one too…

I love to make a nice one layer stamped background card! It’s a great way to stretch your stamps too! All of my images are stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The taxi, pretzel and I love NYC are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. The tree and snowflakes are from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and the greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. Everything is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black except the I Love NYC and snowflakes, they are stamped in Red Royal and Tide Pool. To color in the images I used my Copics and adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Simple and really fun to make! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Christmas Free-for-All! Pay a visit to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! So glad that you stopped by! Have a fabulous Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 126

Hello friends! I trust that you all had a nice Thanksgiving?! I had fun over at my Brother’s with Daniel and Tristan. We played a lot, Daniel got a rocket for his birthday, you jump on this rectangle and it shoots way up in the air, he found that to be great fun! I got back home around 6:00 and Taylor came by for a bit. I finished off the evening with some TV. I’m not quite sure what I’m doing today, hopefully I’ll know soon! ๐Ÿ˜€

For our challenge over on the Fab Friday blog we have some fun colors for you this time…

I have another super simple card! I used the Simon Says Stamp Gifts of Love Photopolymer Stamp Set to create a one layer card. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I started by stamping the large tree in Teal and then created a mask. The other two trees and the trunk are stamped in Catkin. I did all of this in my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp each image. Finally the greeting is stamped in Schoolhouse Red. Very simple and would be so easy to make multiples of using the MISITI! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming by! Have a fabulous Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚
