Fab Friday 139 – Sketch!

Happy Friday! I had a fun week. I went into Manhattan on Monday and stopped by The Ink Pad to see Anna and then headed uptown to se my friend Jim. I has been back to cooler weather here, I guess the Summer will show up eventually! This weekend I’m taking a ride up to PA with Kim to do a few errands for Jim. Should be a fun day! πŸ˜€

It’s time once again for a new Fab Friday challenge…

A nice simple sketch! I started my card by heat embossing the heart from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Glitter Embossing Powder onto a piece of Iridescent 53lb Vellum. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also heat embossed the greeting in same powder onto a strip of Black 110lb. For my card front I used the We R Memory Keepers Gemstone Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Black 110lb. That is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some foam tape to the back of the greeting and hid some behind the heart to attach it to my card base. I love that Gemstone Embossing Folder and thought that it looked pretty cool with the Geode Heart! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for spending some of your Friday with me! πŸ™‚

Fab Friday 138 – Colors!

Hello!! How are you all?! I’m good! It was such a beautiful day yesterday, nice and warm and sunny! I had a meeting at Nassau Community College in the morning and then after that I took a little time to sit outside and enjoy! Wednesday I was at The Ink Pad covering the Shop for Anna so that she could go to the Stationary Show at the Javits Center. This past weekend I was in PA with Jim. They had a tornado touch down on the property and it did quite a bit of damage. Thankfully none to Jim’s house. I don’t have any big plans for this weekend, just going to take it easy, what about you guys? πŸ˜€

I received some new goodies from Concord & 9th and finally had the urge to make a card! Yay! Been such a long time! That card is for the Fab Friday challenge…

I started by heat embossing the large geode from the Concord & 9th Geode Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Card. Next I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Plastic Flamingo, Peachy Keen and Ballet Slippers Ink. The Coordinating Die cuts out the image. To make it look a little more realistic I painted on Multi-Matte Medium and then added Clear Rock Candy Distress Glitter. It’s then added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Grey 110lb on the front for the background. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Geode Dies and is cut from Black 110lb and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love that stamp, such a cool image and not one that I have seen before! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Have a fabulous Friday and a fun weekend! πŸ™‚

And a happy Friday to you! I was over watching Daniel and Tristan again yesterday. Tristan has given up on her naps, maybe she just likes to spend time with me?! LOL! We had fun as always, she is such a smart little girl! After work Jim came by and we had a little dinner and watched TV. Nice to relax for a bit! This morning I have a lot of computer stuff to get finished and a little cleaning and laundry to do. Not sure what’s on for the weekend but hopefully something fun will materialize! πŸ˜€

It’s time once again for a Fab Friday challenge…

I do enjoy a nice simple sketch! Onto my card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of patterned paper from the Pebbles Yours Truly 6×6 Paper Pad down the right side flagging the bottom. My ampersand is from the January 2018 My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from apiece of Classic Cherry. I added some sparkle with my Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen to bring out the detail, you can see it much better in real life! It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My you and me is from the stamp set in the Kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto more Classic Cherry. I cut them out and added them to card with more 3M Foam Tape. A few of the sequins from the Kit are added and the card is done! Nice and simple, a good way to spread a little love anytime of the year! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see more inspiration and enter your card in the gallery! Ahh… Friday! I had quite the busy day yesterday and I did manage to get a lot accomplished! Got a few orders packed up and sent out, spoke to a few peeps, ran some errands. Jim came by after work and we had Zorn’s for dinner and then watched TV. This morning I have some crafty projects to work on and a few other things to take care of. I think that I’ll see if I can go into Manhattan on Sunday and see my friend Kim, I need a little city trip and it’s supposed to be nice! πŸ˜€

Every other week we have a new Fab Friday challenge and it’s one of those weeks! Our inspiration this time is a sketch…

I wanted to do a somewhat one layer card so I took out some Grey 110lb Card Stock and cut it so I could piece it back together by adhering it to a piece of Solar White 80lb. Onto that I stamped the outline rose and leaf images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Granite. In the bottom right corner I heat embossed a greeting from the set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and then adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The heart die cut is from the Hero Arts January My Monthly Hero Kit and is cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to add it to the card. I do love the subtle roses in the background and the that delicate heart is so neat! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday and a great weekend! πŸ™‚

A whole day stuck in the house is definitely not for me! When the snow finally stopped around 6:00PM the final total was around 10 inches! But that wasn’t the end of it, the wind is terrible still so it’s blowing all over the place. Have I mentioned how much I dislike the Winter! LOL! I did manage to get some things accomplished and even got some crafty time in! This morning I will be digging my car out and going somewhere… anywhere! πŸ˜€

It’s time for the first Fab Friday challenge of 2018…

A super quick card using minimal supplies! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the congrats from the Hero Arts Congrats Stamp & Cut in Crimson Hybrid Ink. The sequins are from the same set and stamped in Crimson Hybrid, Lemon Yellow and Emerald Green. I added some Clear Sparkle Pen over all of the sequins for a little shine and done! I have said it before, I love to just stamp a card, nothing else! I hope that you like my Design Team car for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! You can see the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share yours with us in the gallery! I’ll be back at 11:00 with another post so until then thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Friday morning! πŸ™‚

And it’s Friday again! That was another quick week! I find that the end of the year always goes extremely fast, so much going on I guess! I had a pretty productive day yesterday, I got some commenting done while I waited at Jim’s for the repair man to come. They of course have to come back, need a part. Cali was better with the dogs, they were actually all sleeping on the chair together. I headed over to Heather’s early and we ran a few errands before having dinner. Steph came by and later on we ran to Target where we met Taylor. She came back to the house with us. A nice evening as always! No clue what I’m up to this morning! I’ll figure it out! LOL! πŸ˜€

Today is the last Fab Friday challenge of 2017! It’s a fun one too…

I love to make a nice one layer stamped background card! It’s a great way to stretch your stamps too! All of my images are stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The taxi, pretzel and I love NYC are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. The tree and snowflakes are from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and the greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. Everything is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black except the I Love NYC and snowflakes, they are stamped in Red Royal and Tide Pool. To color in the images I used my Copics and adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Simple and really fun to make! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Christmas Free-for-All! Pay a visit to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Hello friends! I trust that you all had a nice Thanksgiving?! I had fun over at my Brother’s with Daniel and Tristan. We played a lot, Daniel got a rocket for his birthday, you jump on this rectangle and it shoots way up in the air, he found that to be great fun! I got back home around 6:00 and Taylor came by for a bit. I finished off the evening with some TV. I’m not quite sure what I’m doing today, hopefully I’ll know soon! πŸ˜€

For our challenge over on the Fab Friday blog we have some fun colors for you this time…

I have another super simple card! I used the Simon Says Stamp Gifts of Love Photopolymer Stamp Set to create a one layer card. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I started by stamping the large tree in Teal and then created a mask. The other two trees and the trunk are stamped in Catkin. I did all of this in my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp each image. Finally the greeting is stamped in Schoolhouse Red. Very simple and would be so easy to make multiples of using the MISITI! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us in the gallery! And we have made it to FRIDAY! It is definitely Fall like here this morning with temps in the 40’s! That’s a little too chilly for me. It might be time to put the shorts away. πŸ™ I spent the day yesterday running errands and getting a few things checked off my to-do list. Jim came by after work and we had a little Chinese for dinner and watched some more Ozark. I also stopped by Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday with her and Stephanie. This morning I have a lot of administrative stuff to get done and I’m trying to firm up plans for the weekend! What are you going to be up to? πŸ˜€

I’m sharing my Design Team card with you for this week’s Fab Friday challenge today…

I used a new to me set from Hero Arts, the Color Layering Cool Fox Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Coordinating Frame Cuts. I stamped one of the foxes in Pumpkin Pie and Orange Soda and the other one in Pumpkin Pie and Mulled Wine using black on both for the legs and face all with my Mini MISTI. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock is stamped with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background in Soft Pool. I stamped the greeting from the set in Black and adhered the foxes with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares and the card is done! It’s amazing how detailed and realistic the color layering stamps are! Those are some great looking foxes! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! My card that I have to share with you today is for the Fab Friday challenge…

I used some new goodies from Concord & 9th! My background is the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped the images in Black Licorice using my MISTI and then used the fill in’s andΒ Moonstone, Lobster, Doe, Sunflower, Noble Fir, Carrot, Sugarplum and JalapeΓ±o Ink. It’s trimmed and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto piece of Black 110lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die. It’s adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A strip of Black 110lb and Chili Pepper are adhered to the lower right to stay true to the sketch and the card is done! We had a nice productive day, got a lot done. Last night after dinner Taylor and I ran a few errands, always nice to see the child! Today I have some more purging to do! I do love a good purge! πŸ˜€

I can’t believe that it’s time for a new Fab Friday challenge…

I got to use another new to me stamp! On my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the branches in Cup O Joe and the flowers in Red Raspberry, both from the Hero Arts Color Layering Birds & Blossoms Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Raspberry Jam in the upper left. The birds are stamped in Just Rust and Emerald Green for the first layer and then Cup O Joe for the second. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins finish the card! I love that stamp set, so simple and fun!
