Freshly Made Sketches 301

I guess what they say is true about time flying but I don’t necessarily think that you need to be having fun! I did have a little bit more of a productive day yesterday and today I will be going over to see my friend Sue for some Etsy stuff! Last night Jim came by and we grabbed some pizza for dinner and watched a movie. A nice evening indeed! πŸ˜€

The card that I made late last night is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I started by trimming a piece of Solar White 80lb to 4 3/4″ wide by 4″ tall and placed it in my Mini MISTI. That fun image is from the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outline in Black Licorice and then stamped the fill-in images inΒ Peacock, JalapeΓ±o, Juice Box, Carrot, Sunflower and Noble Fir. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set and that is stamped in Peacock. I adhered a piece of Peacock Card Stock to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My stamped panel is then trimmed using the Concord & 9th Select-A-SIze Edge Die and adhered to the card base. I added Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray, Orchid and Lemon Drop Sequins to finish the card. Love that fun pineapple with all of the flowers and the fill-in images make it nice and easy to make it look great! I hope that you like my card for his week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank your stopping by! Have a exciting Thursday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 300

Hi peeps! Another beautiful day here on Long Island! I ran a bunch of errands in the morning and saw the kiddos for a little bit. Around 2:00 I headed out to meet Jim at Home Depot so we could pick up some more supplies and continue on with our furniture projects! We got a lot more done, the end table is almost finished and the chairs are all stripped and one is sanded. We had some Chinese food for dinner and I headed back to my house around 9:00. Steph came by for a little bit and we sat outside and chatted. I made my card for today and called it a night! πŸ˜€

That card that I made is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I kept my card nice and clean and simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I trimmed two pieces of paper from the Heidi Swapp Hello Today Paper Pad and adhered them to the card to match the sketch. My fun ballon is cut out from Gold Mirror Card with the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Dies and is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Just a few Wood Veneer Stars and Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love that fun balloon with the happy inside, so cool! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have an awesome Thursday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 299

That was a very quiet Wednesday. I guess they are good to have every so often. Taylor did come by in the evening and we watched a movie. This morning I do have a bunch of things to do and some errands to run. What are you up to today?! πŸ˜€

Another thing that I did do yesterday was make my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start my card I adhered a piece of Desert Storm 80lb to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the left is a piece of paper from the Crate Paper Story Teller 6×6 Paper Pad cut into strips to match the sketch. The large you is cut from a piece of Black 110lb using the Simon Says Stamp Big You Die, it’s adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Onto another piece of Black I heat embossed the hello from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set and adhered that to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A simple card with one of my favorite types of pattern paper, a map! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have an amazing Thursday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 298

I successfully completed the trifecta of productive days! Sue was over yesterday and we got a lot more stuff out of the Stampin’ Galley! All that’s left to do is take pictures and get it up on the Etsy site! We took a break and went out and had a quick lunch. After she left I did some chores around the house and then had dinner before heading over to see Heather for a bit. Once I got back home I made my card for today and watched some TV. Today I have some more projects to work on, it’s good to stay busy don’t you think?! πŸ˜€

That card that I made is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Another pretty simple card using the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set! On my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I masked off the center strip and stamped the images in Carrot and Black Licorice. To define the strip I used my ruler and Copic Pen to draw black lines on either side. The upper right has a piece of Fake Tan Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the same colors using my Mini MISTI. It needed a little something more so I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the orange panel! Not very complicated and yes, you can tell how much I love that Set can’t you?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for coming by! Have a fun Thursday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 297

We are on a roll! Productive days are here to stay! LOL! I got all of my list accomplished yesterday and spent some time outside enjoying the weather! Taylor came by in the afternoon and we had dinner with my Parents. After, Heather stopped by and we ran some errands, she dropped me off and then I went over to her house for a bit. When I came home Taylor and I started to watch The Fall on Netflix. A very odd and disturbing show. This morning I have some odds and ends to take care of, another productive day is ahead! πŸ˜€

My card that I made yesterday is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut so that when it’s folded it measures 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. The background is a piece of Soft Sky layered on top of a piece of Blushing Bride. My image is from the Concord & 9th Unicorn Awesomeness Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I colored in the horn and hooves with my Signo Gold Gel Pen and cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. In the Dies there is the word magic and that is cut from some Gold Glitter Card Stock. I adhered the unicorn with 3M Foam Tape and the magic with Multi-Matte Medium. A heavy dose of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen is on the mane and tail along with a few spots on the body and to finish the card I added a bunch of gold dots with the Gold Pen. There are a lot of unicorns out there but I have to say this one is my favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for visiting! Have a great Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 352 & Freshly Made Sketches 296

Paper Players 352 & Freshly Made Sketches 296

Well, I did get some of the stuff done that I wanted to finish yesterday. I also had to take a ride over to Heather’s job to drop something off to her. When I got back home I went next door to do some laundry and locked myself out of the house! Don’t know how that happened! Around 5:30 I headed over to Heather’s, she made me dinner and we ran some errands. A good way to end the evening! This morning more stuff that needs to get done will get done! πŸ˜€

I have a double challenge card for you today! That almost never happens but I wanted to get my Paper Players card in before it was too late and I had an idea for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge so I combined them! Here are the two challenges…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the My Favorite Things Romantic Script Background in Smoke Ink onto another piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The bird is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bird and Branch Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped him in Thistle, Hot Mama and Grape Juice, his feet in Khaki, and then used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out. His feet are adhered with E-Z Runner and the body with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. It’s adhered in the lower right corner and the card is done! I love that scripty background and the fun bird! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players and Freshly Made Sketches Challenges! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 295

Freshly Made Sketches 295

The weather was very nice here again yesterday! I managed to get some cards made in the morning, cleaned the house and spent a little time outside enjoying the weather! I also ran a few errands in the evening and watched a little TV. Today I have a bunch of projects to get through, I think it’s supposed to rain so that will make it easier! LOL! πŸ˜€

When I saw this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge I knew just what I wanted to do…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves Die to cut a piece of Soft Sky and adhered it across the lower half of the card. My images are from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Fog. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is cut from Silver Glitter Card Stock using the Simon Says Stamp Painted Enjoy and Summer Dies. A little Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres them to the stamped images and three Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the card! I love the subtlety of the colors with the pop of silver! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a terrific Thursday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 294

Freshly Made Sketches 294

The weather was pleasant again here yesterday and so was the ride into the city on the train! I had a very nice visit with Jon and Mary, Jon had a little bit of a cold so he was nice enough to keep his distance! Before I got on the train to come home I did a little shopping. I have a wedding to go to tonight and needed something to wear! My friend Jen is getting married. I used to change her diapers when she was a baby! Boy I’m old! LOL! Should be a fun way to spend a Thursday evening! πŸ˜€

The card that I have to share with you today is the one that I made for the wedding! It’s also for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start the card I stamped some images from the Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Floral Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and the leaves onto some Desert Storm, both in Black. I cut the flower out with my Scissors and adhered it to the Desert Storm panel with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Black. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and to that I added a panel of Black 110lb and a strip of Black Glitter Tape. The Desert Storm panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give it some shine and the card is done! I really like the flower and leaves in the stamp set and I did try and coordinate the card a little with the invitation! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Have a fun Thursday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 293

Freshly Made Sketches 293

I’m sure that with all of the nice weather we have had here for the past few days we are due for some rain soon. I managed to get a lot of crating done in the morning yesterday and also did some wash. A quick dinner with the ‘rents and then a trip to Walmart with Taylor. After that I ran over to Jim’s to help him with some things. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see Ella and then I’ll take the train back to Rockville Center, meet up with Jim and then head off to Pennsylvania for a long weekend! Ahh… to be away for a while will be good! πŸ˜€

Today I have a simple masculine card to share with you today for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge but before we get to that I want to thank CΓ©cile for choosing me as her King of Clean for last week’s challenge!

You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE! Now for this week…

To start I pulled out the piece of Black that was heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear and White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder using the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp, it was left over from a card that I made a few weeks ago. I adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the right is a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic, I used the Concord & 9th Select-A-Size Edges Dies to trim the left side and then heat embossed the greeting from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder. That’s it! A nice simple masculine card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for visiting and hopefully tomorrow I’ll have some PA pics for you! Enjoy your Thursday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 292

Freshly Made Sketches 292

What began as a rainy morning turned into a beautiful day! The sun came out and it was in the high 70’s, very pleasant! I managed to get a bunch of cards made in the morning and did a little cleaning too! Around 1:00 Sue and Michael came to get me so that we could go out to lunch. We went to the Diner and got all caught up! I had an early Thirsty Thursday over at Heather’s with Stephanie. Jim called to let me know that there were a bunch of palettes over by his house so we got my Dad’s truck and headed over to pick them up. He and I are going to make some headboards with them! We stopped by his house for a bit before coming back and dropping the palettes off by me. This morning I’m headed into Manhattan to see my friend Ella for a bit! It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the city, should be nice! πŸ˜€

One of my cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

A super simple sketch calls for a super simple card! I used the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies to cut out a piece of 29lb, Cobalt and Gold Vellum. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Tombo Vellum Adhesive. My lovely is cut from American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock with the one of the dies from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Set. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to the card and that’s it! I love the retro modern look and simplicity of the card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by and catching up! Have an awesome Thursday! πŸ™‚
