Simple Hope Oval Ornaments

Happy Wednesday peeps! I hope that you are all having a good week! I have been relatively busy which is a good thing! The weather has gotten chilly here overnight. I guess the fall is finally here. I’m not a fan of the cold as you all know! I hate to give up my flip-flops! LOL!

Today I have a simple card that is nice and mailable. I started off by using the Pinkfresh Holiday Ornaments Stencils to ink blend two of the ornaments and the pine bough onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used Hero Arts Mint Julep, Tide Pool, Soft Vanilla, Butter Bar and Lime Green Ink. Next I cut out the Pinkfresh Fancy Oval Frame from a piece of Topical Sea Card Stock and adhered it the my stenciled panel. To create a border I added a piece of Hunter Green to my card base and then added the panel to the card with fun foam to give it some dimension. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Thrill of Hope Wreath Hot Foil Plates and is foiled with Spellbinders Moondust Foil. I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Thrill of Hope Wreath Dies to cut it out and added it to the card with Bearly Arts Glue. A few Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Mix Gems give the card some shine!

I’m loving using stencils and my blending brushes to create detailed and beautiful images! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and I thank you very much for visiting! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

Sending US Love

Happy Tuesday! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! I had a nice dinner with Jim and Heather on Saturday night and celebrated my friend Kathie’s birthday on Sunday! Feels good to get together with people again, safely, outside! LOL!

Today’s card features a Hero Arts Fancy Die. I do love them! You can make then as detailed or as simple as you want! I cut the Mailbox die from a piece of Blue 110lb Card Stock and added a little Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink to the edges to give it a little depth. The envelopes are cut from White 110lb Card Stock and I added a little detail to two of them with my Copic Markers. For the background I stamped the Hero Arts Mail Jumble Background Cling Stamp in Hero Arts Stone Wash Ink onto a piece of Blue 110lb Card Stock. I added the background to a card base of White 110lb Card Stock and then used Foam Tape to adhere the Mailbox. All of the letters are adhered with Bearly Arts Glue, some to the front and a few are inserted into the door. My greeting is from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and is stamped in Red Royal onto some more White 110lb Card Stock and adhered to the card with Foam Tape.

You can see the depth that the Distress Ink gives the Mailbox better in the second photo.

A simple card with some impact thanks to the Hero Arts US Mailbox Fancy Die! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Sunflower Tri-Fold Hello

Ahh… another week done. Happy Friday peeps! I had a rather uninteresting week but sometimes that’s ok! No big plans for the weekend either. Guess getting crafty is always a good way to spend some time. My Craft Closet needs to be organized in the worst way and I really do need to part with some of my stamp sets, but it’s so hard. Do you feel that way? Are you a stamp hoarder?! LOL!

I haven’t purchased a My Monthly Hero Kit in a while. Not that I haven’t liked them but this month’s kit is awesome and that’s what I used for my card. It was inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s partial die cutting video that I watched the other day. I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 6 1/4 x 9 3/4 and scored it at 3 1/4 and 6 1/2. I arranged the dies for the Sunflower on both of the front panels and die cut it using the partial die cutting technique and my Spellbinder’s Platinum Machine. Once I trimmed of the excess with my Fiskars Paper Trimmer I used my Misti to Stamp the Sunflowers in Gina K Amalgam Ink. Then I used the coordinating stencils included in the kit along with Hero Arts Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie, Green Apple, Lime Green, Cup O Joe and Root Beer Ink and my Blender Brushes to add color to them. To hold everything in place while I was Inking I used my Wendy Vecchi Make Art Stay-tion. I scored along the edges of the sunflowers and folded them in on each other. I decided that I wanted a green background so I cut a piece of Green 110lb Card Stock to 3 1/8 x 6 1/2 and scored along the top adding adhesive to the flap and adhered it to the card. To hide the green on the back I added another piece of 110lb Card Stock with some Bearly Arts Glue. My greeting is also from the kit and is cut from Super Gold Curious Metallic Card Stock and a piece of Green 110lb for the shadow. I adhered them to each other and the card with more Bearly Arts Glue. I decided I wanted another greeting on the green panel so I stamped one from the Kit in Black.

I love a coordinating envelope and I thought a Kraft one would be perfect so I got out my Pinkfresh Mini Slimline Envelope dies and some Stampin’ Up! Kraft Card Stock and made one. I really do think the card is pretty cool and different, I enjoyed making it! I hope that you like it too and I thank you for stopping by and visiting with me today! Have a great weekend!

Sending Favorite Hugs

Hello peeps and happy Friday! I’m off to PA for the weekend because it’s my birthday on Sunday! It’s supposed to be a nice weekend weather wise too. Maybe a hike or stroll through town?! Definitely some top down time in the convertible!

As I have mentioned I’m really loving the coordinating stamps and stencils that Pinkfresh has. I used one of those sets today for my card. I started by heat embossing the large floral image from the Pinkfresh You are my Favorite Stamps Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To color in the image I used the coordinating Pinkfresh You are my Favorite Stencil and some Concord & 9th Buttercup, Stardust and Sprout Ink with my Blending Brushes. The image is then die cut with the coordinating Pinkfresh You are my Favorite Die. I cut the image in half and added it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and it’s foiled in Gold Glimmer Foil and cut out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Die. To make it stand out a bit more I cut out a piece of Vellum with the circle die from the Pinkfresh Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle. I adhered the sentiment to the vellum and then to the card with Bearly Arts Glue.

I do love a slimline specific set especially when you can alter it to work on a standard A2 card!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and got some ideas on how you can stretch your supplies a little! Thanks so much for coming by and I wish you a wonderful weekend!

Perfect Butterfly Smile

Hello! Sorry I have MIA again. I have been spending a little time each day in the Craft Closet and taking my time making cards. Sometimes I get some of it done and then come back the next day to finish it off. I do have quite a few made so I will make sure that I post a little more often. I find that if I don’t keep myself to a schedule the Mojo flows a little better! On another note I seriously cannot believe that it’s September! That was one really quick summer. I’m not looking forward to the cooler weather and having to give up my flip-flops! LOL!

The card that I created for today uses the Pinkfresh Miss Your Smile Stamp Set and coordinating Stencils. I stamped it in Hero Arts Soft Granite Ink using my Misti. The inks that I used with the coordinating Pinkfresh Miss Your Smile Stencil are Hero Arts Orchid, Passion Flower, Soft Lilac, Grape Juice, Mint Julep and Antigua. I trimmed the panel to 8 1/4 to 3 1/4 and adhered it to a piece of Hunter Green card stock. To create the butterfly I used the Pinkfresh Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and some Crafter’s Companion Aurora Foil on a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb and a piece of Heat Resistant Acetate. On the card stock one I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Butterflies Stencils and Hero Arts Passion Flower, Grape Juice, Mint Julep and Antigua Ink to color in the butterfly. A little Black Copic Multiliner colors in the body. The coordinating Pinkfresh Butterflies Dies are used to cut them both out and they are adhered to each other on the butterfly body with Bearly Arts Glue. I added the panel to a card base of Neenah 110lb and then added the butterfly with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and is also foiled in Aurora and cut out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Die. I cut it out two more times from 110lb card stock and adhered them to each other and to the back of the greeting with Bearly Arts Glue. It’s then added to the card. For some more sparkle I added a few sequins from the Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Shimmer Mix.

I love the purples and greens together and that Aurora Foil is definitely my favorite! I hope that you like my card for today and as always, thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to spend with me! Enjoy the rest of your Thursday!

Wonderful Bees & Flowers

Hello and happy mid-week! I had the pleasure of having my niece and nephew over yesterday. Daniel is addicted Apple Arcade and likes to play it on the 58″ TV and Tristan loves to play with Cali. I really am lucky that I get to spend as much time with them as I do and enjoy every minute of it!

I have been loving the new Hero Arts Fancy Dies and wanted the ones that I used to make today’s card for a while. Add a little color with Copics or watercolors and they come to life! I started by cutting out all of the dies from the Hero Arts Bees and Flowers Fancy Dies with Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with my Gemini Jr. I left them in the negatives and used my Copics to add some color to them. Once they were all colored in I set about making my background. To do that I used Blending Brushes and Hero Arts Reactive Splash and Green Apple Inks blended onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I arranged the flowers and bees and then used Glad Press-n-Seal to pick them up. To adhere then to the card base I used a combination of Bearly Arts Glue and Foam Tape. The greeting is from an old My Monthly Hero Kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto Black 110lb Card Stock. To cut it out I used one of the dies from the Hero Arts Message Strips Stamp & Cut XL and added it to the card with Foam Tape. For a little sparkle I used Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on the wings of the bees and Crystal Confetti from The Stamp Market.

I really do love those flowers and bees! Makes for an easy and quick card with big impact! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and as always I appreciate you stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!

Rainbow New York City Landmarks

Hi there and a happy Monday to you! I hope that you all had a nice weekend. It was a little overcast here on Saturday, Heather came over and made some dinner and we sat in the backyard. Yesterday it rained all day so Jim stopped by and we just hung around in the house. We ended up watching The Little Things on HBO Max. It was ok, a little slow moving but Jared Leto plays a really convincing creep! LOL!

As I have been going through things in the craft closet I keep finding “new” stuff! I came across this stamp from Carabelle Studios the other day and thought… I don’t want to color it in but I love it, what can I do with it? And this is what I came up with.

I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Cardstock and trimmed it to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. Using my Blending Brushes and my Make Art Stay-tion I added Distress Ink in Festive Berries, Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet to the panel and then used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying process. Once it was dry I stamped the Carabelle Studio New York Cling Stamp in Versafine Only Black Ink using my Misti. I ended up stamping it three time because the image has so much detail and I wanted to make sure that I didn’t miss anything. Once again I used my Heat Tool to dry the ink. It’s then mounted to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb. For the greeting I used the Hero Arts Message Strips Stamp & Cut XL. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto Black 110lb Cardstock and cut out with one of the dies in the set. I added it to the card with Foam Tape. I had read somewhere that if you add Distress Microglaze over Distress Ink it helps to prevent it from fading. I used a Ranger Mini Ink Blending Foam to add it to the card and then buffed it with a paper towel.

I do love the detail in the stamp and adding the Distress Micro Glaze brightened up the colors of the Distress Ink. I can’t remember where I actually got the stamp from but I know that The Ink Pad carries Carabelle Stamps, maybe Anna can order one up for you! I hope that you enjoyed today’s bright and colorful card. Have a yourselves a magnificent Monday!

SIP Challenge 179 – Holidays!

Hey there… remember me?! LOL! I have been away for a bit but I have a few things to post this week so hopefully you’ll join me! Got a little inspiration last night, finally! I have been keeping busy helping my friend Kelly redo her bathroom and spending time with the kiddos! Over the weekend I went into Manhattan with Jim, Kim, Brian, Izzy, Kevin, Krissy and Brooke to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. It was great and we had so much fun! This weekend I have a Holiday party to go to, that should be a good time! My tree is up but I haven’t done any shopping! Gotta get on that! How are your Holiday plans going?! 😀

It’s Tuesday so time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I used a new stamp set and an older one from Concord & 9th to make a fun simple card! I started by stamping the face and greeting from the Concord & 9th Winter Wear Photopolymer Stamp Set onto a piece of Solar White 80lb in Amalgam Ink using my Mini MISTI so I could stamp it twice. On a separate piece I stamped the scarf. The images are colored in with Copics, mine are in desperate need of refills and new nibs as you can see from the shading! The scarf is cut out with the coordinating Concord & 9th Winter Wear Dies. My snowflakes are from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Merman Ink. I adhered the stamped panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and added the scarf with Thin 3D Foam Squares. For a little sparkle I added Hero Arts Clear Gems to some of the snowflake centers and used Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Brush Pen over the scarf! A fun card that would be easy to mass produce! Stamp some and take markers or pencils with you and color on the go! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Holidays Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for spending some time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 175 – Gratitude!

Hello my friends! It was a dreary Monday and that has continued into a dreary Tuesday. A good day to stay in and get some stuff done around the house. The kiddos are off from school and wanted to spend the day at my parents so I’ll have them tomorrow. I did go over and have breakfast with them this morning. Now to get some stuff done here! 😀

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I felt like doing some heat embossing so I did just that… and a lot! My background is created using the Concord & 9th Deck the Halls Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I put it into my MISTI and used Versa-Mark to stamp it each time onto a piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock. It’s coated with Hero Arts Gold, Platinum, Copper and Brass Embossing Powder and heat set then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My card is a piece of lighter Grey 110lb Card Stock and I adhered the background to the front. For my greeting I used the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Dies to cut out the grateful from three pieces of Grey 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Before adding it to the card I used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some sparkle. A pretty simple card with a big impact thanks to all of that metallic embossing powder! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Gratitude Challenge! Check out the rest of Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your take with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Fab Friday 149

Hello friends and a very happy Friday to you! I had a nice day yesterday tile shopping with my friend Kelly. We picked out the shower, wall, floor and shower pan tile for her new bathroom and stopped at Chick-fil-a for lunch. After that I cleaned a little and watched some movies for the rest of the night. I’m off to see the kiddos and my windshield is being replaced today. Tristan and I will hit up McDonald’s for lunch later… if she’s good! LOL! 😀

On another fun note it’s time for a new challenge over on the Fab Friday blog…

I was inspired by this card that Debby Hughes had done the other day. I loved the colors that she used and I just felt like stamping a background myself! I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set and Soft Pool, Wet Cement, Pumpkin Pie Dye and Mulled Wine Hybrid Ink along with my Mini MISTI so I could stamp the images more than once to make them nice and crisp. The veining in the leaves is all stamped in Cup O Joe and then the background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies. I added it to a circle cut from 65lb Vellum using the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Nested Frame Cuts Dies with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The circle is then adhered to the card with thin slivers of 3M Foam Tape. A little bling was needed in the form of Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Jewels and The Colors of Fall Sequin Mix! Love the colors of the leaves! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your Friday! 🙂
