I had an actual lazy Sunday! I stayed in bed late, didn’t really do much of anything but watch TV. Taylor came by for a little while after she got off of work. I did make a card for today and that was my day. Today I will be spending lots of time in front of the computer, my to-do list just keeps getting longer! πŸ˜€

I felt like doing a little ink blending yesterday and thats where this card started. I did that ink blending on a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock with Hero Arts Navy, Grape Juice and Charcoal Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spattered with Heidi Swapp White and Tinsel Color Shine and dried with my Heat Tool. I used the Hero Arts Milky Way Fancy Die to cut out a piece of Shadow Curious Metallic Card Stock and as I was taking out the middle I thought that it would actually look pretty cool on the card instead of the outside. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the die cut and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. For some sparkly stars I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and that finished the card. I actually do love the inside of the die cut galaxy. It looks like a swirly space oddity! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off with me! Have an absolutely awesome Monday! πŸ™‚

For the next three Friday’s we will be featuring a new product from the August Release! This week it’s the awesome Happy Balloons Stamps and Dies!

Any of you that know me know that I love a little heat embossing on Vellum! I thought that the balloons would look pretty cool done that way! Three of the balloons from the Happy Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set are heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto 65lb Vellum. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered to each other and my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Matte Medium that is strategically placed! My greeting is also heat embossed in Gold onto a piece of Solar White 110lb that is cut out with the banner die from the set. I added some Gold Thread to the balloons and then adhered the greeting banner to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins add a bit more sparkle and the card is done! Fab Friday 119

Fab Friday 119

It’s Friday already?! That was another quick week! I had a fun day with my friend Sue. We worked on Etsy stuff and went out to have some lunch. There was a little stop at Marshall’s before we headed back to her house to finish up a little more stuff before I headed home. Last night we had Thirsty Thursday at Heather’s. Stephanie was there and Taylor stopped by for a few. This morning, more things to cross off my to-do list! πŸ˜€

It’s a Fab FridayΒ week and we have a fun sketch for you…

I got my August My Monthly Hero Kit and had to have a little play! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I used the large die from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a piece of Black 110lb. The little boy on the moon is heat embossed in Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Black 110lb and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I adhered the large Black die cut to the card with Black 3D Foam Squares and the boy on the moon with E-Z Runner. My greeting is also from the set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I flagged the right side and used a few more Black 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to the card. For some more sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the August Hero Kit, so much fun! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll be back on a little while with another post for you! Until then have a fabulous Friday morning! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

Another fun filled Monday! LOL! I did get some things done and helped out a few friends in the morning too! We had an extra early Thirsty Thursday last night over at Heather’s! Stephanie was there and George joined us too! We always have such a good time laughing and catching up! This morning I have to get working on my to-do list for the week! I have been putting off way too much stuff! πŸ˜€

So it’s Tuesday and what does that mean?! Well, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I’m always looking for a reason to use that Eiffel Tower Die from Hero and this seemed like the perfect opportunity! To start my card I die cut the Hero Arts PaperLayering Eiffel Tower from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used a die from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a plane from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock. They are positioned onto a piece of Black 110lb so that I knew where to heat emboss my sentiment, also from the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit, in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The black panel is adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then the Eiffel Tower and plane are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It needed a little more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins! I do really love that Eiffel Tower and the plane too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have an excellent Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Celebrate Balloons

Celebrate Balloons

Starting off the week with a smile! Is there any other way to do it?! I had a wonderful weekend! I was over at Jim’s again yesterday and we finished the end table and the chairs! We are really happy with the way they came out! I called the chairs Shipwreck Chic because we power washed them to get the four layers of paint off and it really distressed the wood! You can see the before and after…

We also finished watching Stranger Things, I’ll have to find a new series for us to watch now! I have a ton of stuff to get accomplished today! It’s a Monday for sure! πŸ˜€

Another simple card for you today! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added two pieces of paper from the Pinkfresh Studios Indigo Hills 6×6 Paper. The top one is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My balloons are from the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Fresh Peach. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them to the card with more E-Z Runner. I do love to use sequins to fill in some of the white space on my cards so I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear ones today! I love that PinkFresh Paper, so nice and thick and the balloons are just fun! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

Cupcakes & Sprinkles

Cupcakes & Sprinkles

Yay for the weekend! I had a pretty busy day yesterday. Got my haircut in the morning and spoke to my friend Greg for a little while. I went over and saw Heather, we had lunch and I ran a few errands. The evening was quiet, just a little TV. Today it’s supposed to be rainy so maybe some crafty time?! Good way to spend a rainy day! πŸ˜€

I have another card to share with you today that uses the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Turnabout Set! The background is stamped with it using my MISTI with Freshly Cut Grass and Merman Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered the trimmed piece to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The cupcakes are stamped in Black Licorice for the outline and the same two ink colors to fill them in. My tag is cut out from a piece of Mermaid Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies along with the cupcakes. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the bottom of the tag. I tied a piece of Natural Green Twine through the top and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The cupcakes are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and a little drop of Multi-Matte Medium holds the twine in place! I’m loving that Sprinkles Turnabout, confetti sprinkles in any colors! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a spectacular Saturday! πŸ™‚

Sprinkled with Love – Concord & 9th Guest Designer for Feature Friday!

Sprinkled with Love – Concord & 9th Guest Designer for Feature Friday!

Happy, happy Friday peeps! Yes, another beautiful day, and yes I spent a good part of it outside. The morning was spent catching up on things around the house, I do need to be somewhat productive! It was a quiet day all in all. I finished the evening off by watching Collateral Beauty, not the best movie I have seen but not terrible. It’s going to be cooler today but no rain so we should be ok for the day! πŸ˜€

I have the extreme pleasure of being a Guest Designer for Concord & 9th this month along with the rest of the fabulous Design Team over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! For the next four Friday’s we will be featuring a new product from the August Release! This week it’s the fantastic Sprinkles Turnabout Stamps and the Sprinkles Tag Dies!

As soon as I saw the Sprinkled with Love greeting in the set I knew just what I was going to do! I started my card by using the Sprinkles Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp to heat emboss in Hero Arts Gold and stamp in Ballet Slippers, Peachy Keen and Bubblegum Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. It’s trimmed to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and adhered to a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I used the solid heart die from the Heartstrings Dies and the small heart from the Sprinkles Dies to cut out a large and two small hearts from a piece of Guava. I heat embossed the sprinkles in Hero Arts Gold and White Embossing Powder and the greeting in White onto the hearts. They are then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Those Turnabout Stamps are just so cool and this one is no exception! Love it along with the greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer card for Concord & 9th! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of talented Teammate’s projects! I thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic Friday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 255

The gloomy Tuesday morning turned into a nice day around 1:00PM! I can deal with that! I did get a few things around the house completed in the morning and then I took my MacBook and sat outside in the afternoon! I do love a little sit outside! In the evening I went over to Jim’s for some dinner and more furniture refinishing! We are working on some chairs and an end table. Pictures when we are done of course! πŸ˜€

And we are at Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

A card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock starts off today’s card. I used the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set to heat emboss the world onto a piece of Soft Sky with Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. The Coordinating Dies are used to cut it out. I also die cut a banner with the Concord & 9th Best Banners Dies from a piece of Black 110lb. The world is from the same stamp set and is heat embossed onto another piece of Black 110lb with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Before IΒ adhered the globe to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner I added a piece of Copper Washi Tape. The world’s is adhered to the globe with 3D Foam Squares and the best with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A little cascade of Pretty Pink Posh Copper Sequins and the card is done! That was a very rainy Monday indeed. It rained all day, not really helping with the Monday’s at all! I did get my computer stuff done that I wanted to in the morning and did a little laundry too. In the evening Jim came by, we had Wendy’s for dinner and then watched TV. I’m having him watch Stranger Things, so far he likes it! This morning I want to get more computer stuff accomplished. Wish me luck! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday so time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Waves Stencil and my Mini Ink Blending Tool along with Soft Pool Ink to create a background. The images and greeting are all from the Hero Arts Seahorse Color Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the large and medium seahorses in Cornflower. The additional layers are added to the large seahorse with Pool and Navy using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I stamped three of the small seahorses in Pool onto the background along with the greeting in Navy. Some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the scene. I do love that seahorse and the subtle look of the stencil behind it! I hope that you enjoy my Design tEam card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! We hope that you will play along with us! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Fab Friday 118

Fab Friday 118

Hooray for Friday! The weather was just about perfect here yesterday again, we have been so lucky lately! I had some computer stuff to do in the morning and so I took the laptop and sat outside. I squeezed in a little cleaning and a few other household things in the afternoon. After dinner I headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. We had a few errands to run and met Stephanie at Target before heading back to Heather’s. George spent some time with us when he got home, we always have so much fun! Today I have some more computer stuff to do, hopefully outside again! πŸ˜€

It’s a Fab Friday week and we have some nice bright colors for you…

I pulled out the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Set, haven’t used that one in a while, and made a one layer card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Across the bottom I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Soft Pool. The card is then placed in my Mini MISTI for the rest of the stamping. The flamingo is stamped in Soft Pink for the first layer and then Ultra Pink for the second and third. I stamped the legs, beak and greeting in Soft Granite. The grass is stamped in Lime Green with the water ripples added around them in Tide Pool. I added a little Black Glaze Pen to the eye and a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I do love a one layer card and the sequins again come in handy for filling in some of the space around the image! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the colors in the gallery! Thanks for coming by and checking in with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! πŸ™‚
