Tree Delivery Xmas

Hello peeps and a happy Saturday to you! More importantly Happy World Card Making Day! I managed to get a little crafty time in last night and get a card finished for today! I had started this card a while ago, the car has been on my desk for about a week! I chatted with my friend Sue last night and it all came together!

I used the Spellbinders Special Delivery Dies to cut out my car. It’s cut from a piece of Blue 110lb and again from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb. I did a little ink blending on the windows and then pieced all of the white into the blue car. The bumpers, door handle and hubcaps are cut from Silver Card Stock and the lights also from White. I color in the lights with Copics, adhered them to the card and added some Nuvo Crystal Glaze to them. The wheels are cut from Black 110lb, I added then to the car and then the hub caps. My trees are cut from 2 colors of Green 110lb Card Stock and White Glimmer Paper using the Spellbinders Bottle Brush Trees Dies. For my background I used a Blending Brush to add Broken China Distress Oxide Ink to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. It’s adhered to a Slimline Card Base. The snowy hill and road are cut from Black 110lb and White 110lb using Trinity Stamps Slimline Series: Scenic Borders. I adhered them to each other with Bearly Arts Glue and then to the card With Foam Tape. The trees are glued in place and the car added with more Foam Tape. The other small tree is added to the top of the car and then the ribbon. I was digging through my stash and found a really old Pinkfresh Stamp Set called Christmas Wishes and stamped the greeting from the set in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink with my Misti.

I do really like the little car die and putting it all together was fun! I reminded me a little of making models back when I was little! I hope that you enjoyed my Christmas card for World Card Making Day! Here’s to hoping that you get to be crafty today too! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Simple Hope Oval Ornaments

Happy Wednesday peeps! I hope that you are all having a good week! I have been relatively busy which is a good thing! The weather has gotten chilly here overnight. I guess the fall is finally here. I’m not a fan of the cold as you all know! I hate to give up my flip-flops! LOL!

Today I have a simple card that is nice and mailable. I started off by using the Pinkfresh Holiday Ornaments Stencils to ink blend two of the ornaments and the pine bough onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used Hero Arts Mint Julep, Tide Pool, Soft Vanilla, Butter Bar and Lime Green Ink. Next I cut out the Pinkfresh Fancy Oval Frame from a piece of Topical Sea Card Stock and adhered it the my stenciled panel. To create a border I added a piece of Hunter Green to my card base and then added the panel to the card with fun foam to give it some dimension. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Thrill of Hope Wreath Hot Foil Plates and is foiled with Spellbinders Moondust Foil. I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Thrill of Hope Wreath Dies to cut it out and added it to the card with Bearly Arts Glue. A few Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Mix Gems give the card some shine!

I’m loving using stencils and my blending brushes to create detailed and beautiful images! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and I thank you very much for visiting! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

Fab Friday 148

Hello peeps and a very happy Friday to you! I have had a somewhat productive week. Got some projects finished and thought of some new ones to start. I’m off to see the kiddos this morning. Daniel has a bit of a cold a hopefully little miss Tristan will be in a good mood! She is in the terrible twos for sure! If she’s good we’ll be bad and go to Mc’D’s for lunch. 😀

Time for a new challenge over on the Fab Friday blog…

Most people see Halloween, not me! LOL! I dug out some oldies but goodies to make my card. It all started with the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake Die cut from some Purple Glitter Paper. I watched one of Kristina Werner’s Holiday card series videos and she made a gorgeous card with all different snowflakes cut from glitter paper. I would like all of the new snowflakes that Simon Says Stamp has released! I do love a snowflake and their ones are great! I happened to remember that there was a stamp set called Holiday Envelopes Sentiments that coordinated with the Eliza Snowflake Die. I stamped the snowflakes in Sugarplum and Carrot randomly onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I adhered the snowflake with Glue Tube. A little sparkle was needed so I added Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Silver Sequins and the card is done! A very simple card with really non-traditional Holiday colors, but you all know that I like that! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for spending some of your Friday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day and have a fabulous weekend! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

I’m back! LOL! Here with my post for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th. This time we have a Layers challenge…

Lately I have been really into more clean cards but who doesn’t love a few layers to give a little wow to your project?! I started my card by stamping the Deck the Halls Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Lime Green, Soft Cantaloupe, Tide Pool and Soft Granite Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with my MISTI. It’s trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My greeting is from the Very Merry Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum. I wrapped it around the stamped panel and added it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my tag I used the Holiday Cheer Tags Dies and some more Solar White 80lb. I also used the ornament die to cut out the negative from the center of the tag holder. Onto the tag I stamped the ornament from the Holiday Cheer Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lime Green and added the topper cut from a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. A piece of American Crafts Lime Green Twine is tied through the top and the tag is added to the card. It needed just a little sparkle and to take care of that I scattered some Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Gems.

I love the colors and the pop of the white tag and sentiment against the bright background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Layers Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so head on over and check it out! We hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by again today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

Fab Friday 127

And it’s Friday again! That was another quick week! I find that the end of the year always goes extremely fast, so much going on I guess! I had a pretty productive day yesterday, I got some commenting done while I waited at Jim’s for the repair man to come. They of course have to come back, need a part. Cali was better with the dogs, they were actually all sleeping on the chair together. I headed over to Heather’s early and we ran a few errands before having dinner. Steph came by and later on we ran to Target where we met Taylor. She came back to the house with us. A nice evening as always! No clue what I’m up to this morning! I’ll figure it out! LOL! 😀

Today is the last Fab Friday challenge of 2017! It’s a fun one too…

I love to make a nice one layer stamped background card! It’s a great way to stretch your stamps too! All of my images are stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The taxi, pretzel and I love NYC are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s New York Photopolymer Stamp Set. The tree and snowflakes are from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and the greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set. Everything is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black except the I Love NYC and snowflakes, they are stamped in Red Royal and Tide Pool. To color in the images I used my Copics and adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Simple and really fun to make! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Christmas Free-for-All! Pay a visit to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! So glad that you stopped by! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 371

Well hello there and a happy Monday to you! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, I certainly did! Saturday Jim and I did a little Christmas shopping and then headed over to my Brother’s house for Daniel’s 4th Birthday Party! Can you imagine that he is 4 already?! Here is a picture of the Birthday boy with his little sister…

They are just too damn cute! Daniel was a big fan of Jim, he spent the better part of a half hour hitting him with a ballon which he thought was absolutely hysterical!! We got him tickets to go and see Monster Jam in February, Jim is going to bring his Nephew too. Yesterday I did a few things in the morning, Jim stopped by on his way to a party over by my house for a quick visit. Later on Taylor came by and we watched some TV to finish the day. This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and then Sue is supposed to stop by and pick up some stuff from me! 😀

To start off the week I have a card to share with you for the Paper Players challenge…

I dug out an old set that is still one of my favorites! I stamped the pinecones from the Simon Says Stamp with Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Brown, Cup O Joe and Sand to Chocolate Brown Ombre Ink using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Die. My background is stamped in Moss Hybrid Ink using the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped the lines in Delicata Celestial Copper Pigment Ink and then used my Heat Tool to make sure they were dry. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Cozy Christmas Set and is stamped in Moss Hybrid on a strip of Solar White 80lb. I used some 3M Foam Tape to adhere to pinecones and greeting to the card and it’s done! I love those pinecones and that plaid background is definitely becoming a favorite too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for starting you week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Hi again!! Feels like I was just here! LOL! I’m back to join Tracey McNeely for her 25 Days of Christmas Tags event! We have a monthly challenge and you should definitely come by a check us out!

I’m actually a big fan of making tags for the Holiday’s and since I make a lot the simpler the better! For my tag shape I cut out a piece of Tropical Sea Card stock with the tree from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Dies. My greeting is heat embossed in Red Tinsel Embossing Powder using a greeting from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. On the top I used a hole punch so I had a place to tie a piece of Pool Party Ribbon. For little sparkle I adhered some Little Things by Lucy Pool Shimmer Jewels. A nice simple sparkly tag that will make the Holiday’s even more festive!

Paper Players 370

Hello friends. I missed my post on Friday because I woke up and found my little friend Winston had passed away in the night. I miss him so much. I can’t remember a time that he hasn’t been around. I was lucky enough to have spent 16 years with my best friend. It really is true, your furry friends become a part of the family and the loss leaves a big empty space. Heather came over on Friday and spent the day with me working from my house. I managed to keep myself busy over the weekend. I spent the morning at Jim’s on Saturday and then we went to dinner and watched a few episodes of The Fall. Yesterday I was at the Glam Slam Fundraiser and that was a lot of fun! I ran into someone that I used to work with at Pergament back when I was 18!! Such a small world. 😀

To start off the week I have my card for the Paper Players challenge…

One of my favorite challenges! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. My tree is cut from another piece of Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Die. I used the lights from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set and WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder on my die cut tree and then adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Christmas Cheer Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Concord & 9th Ribbon Banner Die with more Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. Some more 3M Foam Tape adheres that to the tree and the card is done. I do love a white on white card, you can do so much with a little dimension! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for coming by to see me on a Monday! Have a great day! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Christmas!

Hi all! Not as dreary here yesterday but still crisp! I had a very nice productive day with Sue! We got stuff done and went out and had a nice lunch! I got home around 3:30 and Jim came by after work. We grabbed some Italian for dinner and watched a little TV. We are all done with Ozark and will be starting season 2 of Stranger Things soon! Hope it’s as good as the first one! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary. Oh how I love my little trips into the city! 😀

It’s that time again! A new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog starts today…

Another chance to make a simple easily duplicated Holiday card and this one is definitely that! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the trees from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Noble Fir, Jalapeño and Freshly Cut Grass along the bottom. The greeting is stamped in Noble Fir and I used my Gold Signo Gel Pen to add a little “snow”! I actually did make a few while I had the supplies out, good to make a dent in the stack of Holiday cards! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Christmas Challenge! My Teammates have made some great cards to inspire you so head on over the BLOG head over and check them out! You have all month to play along and we hope you will share your card with us in the gallery! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Thanks for coming by and visiting with me! Paper Craft Crew 267

Oh how I miss the Summer! Have I said that already?! And we are just getting started with the cold weather! Ugh! Getting dark at 5:00PM isn’t fun either! Ok, enough whining! LOL! What started out as a sunny day quickly turned overcast and then it started rain around 4:00 and did that for the rest of the night. I ran up to IKEA in the morning and got a few pillows for the couch. Taylor came by in then evening and that was pretty much my day. This morning I’m off to see my friend Sue for some Etsy stuff! We have added a bunch more items to the SHOP including Altenew and Concord & 9th! You should go over and take a look! 😀

For my mid-week card I have one to share with you for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I choose to go across the top row. I have been trying to make some simple Holiday cards, I really am planning on sending them out this year and if I come up with a few simple ones that will be easy to make multiples of it will happen! To start my card I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp onto a piece of Tropical Sea with Tide Pool Ink. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of 29lb Vellum. That is adhered around the back of the stamped background panel and that is then adhered to a piece of Metallic Copper Card Stock which is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The card needed a little sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. I do love the tone on tone background and the fun simple copper accents! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for some inspiration and add your card to the gallery! Thanks you so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
