Quick Thank You X 2!

Quick Thank You X 2!

I’m still on lake time! What a nice weekend! Yesterday we went for a nice long walk in the morning and visited the falls. I’m having issues getting pictures uploaded so I’ll share more of them on Monday with you. We also wandered around a few antique stores and went for ice cream after dinner! I have to tell you that it’s very nice to type my post with that lovely view of the lake! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have two really simple thank you cards to share with you! The greetings and hearts are from the May 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped them in Lime Green and Tide Pool, alternating the colors so that they had a bit more interest. To step them up a little bit I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins from the Share Kindness Mix, that’s it! Really simple cards but who wouldn’t want to get one in the mail?! I hope that you like today’s cards! Thanks for stopping by! Have an amazing Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 115

Fab Friday 115

I’m a little late this morning because I’m on country time! After my fun morning in the city yesterday I took the train out to Rockville Center and Jim picked me up at the station. We stopped back at his house, picked up the bags and headed for Waymart, PA. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get here but was well worth the ride! This is my current view this morning…

It so peaceful and relaxing here, I can see why Jim likes is so much. We went down by the lake for a bit and just sat there…

Last night we sat by the fire pit and just looked up at the stars, you forget how many there are because out here you can see them all! Today, who knows but I’m sure it will be fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

Now I have a little bit of craftiness to share with you in the way of my card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge…

I used the June My Monthly Hero Kit again! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Dies to cut out a piece of Hello Honey for my background. On top of that is a strip of Mossy Meadow with the ends flagged and then a really thin strip of Black. My images and greeting are from the June My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Black onto a piece of Tangelo Twist and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra. That’s it! A nice simple card and I love those solid images! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to visit the Team BLOG and see the rest of the cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for sharing in some of my day! Have a fabulous Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! We did have a very nice day here yesterday with lots of sun! I spent most of the day with Sue working on Etsy stuff. We went to Panera for lunch and I had my grilled cheese and tomato soup! In the evening Jim came by and I made us some nice big salads with grilled chicken, olives, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, croutons and blue cheese dressing. Taylor came by and chatted with us for a bit and we finished the evening off with a few YouTube videos. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done! I found out that I will be away for the weekend! WEE! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I was going through my stamps and came across this old but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wave Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply some Tide Pool Ink to the lower left. Across the lower part is a piece of Copper Tape. My circle is cut from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts July 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the coral and jellyfish in Tide Pool and did the second layer of the jellyfish in Copper Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the circle. My greeting is heat embossed onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with White Hero Arts Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and done! I still love that jellyfish, makes for a nice different image on a card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wondrous Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Huge Thanks

Hey there! Happy Saturday to you! We had a rainy drizzly day here yesterday. I spent most of it in the house watching TV, it was just one of those kinds of days. I did go over and have dinner with my Parents and later on in the evening Taylor came by and we watched Dr. Strange. Today I’m off to Manhattan again this time to see my friend Kim! Should be a good day! ๐Ÿ˜€

My card that I have to share with you today uses the June My Monthly Hero Kit! I used my MISTI to repeatedly stamp some of the elephants in Wet Cement onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock along with a larger one onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The single elephant is cut out with the Coordinating Die. I stamped the grass along the bottom to even out the card. The sunset die is used to cut out a piece of Orange Vellum and I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left. The large elephant is adhered to the Vellum with 3M Foam Tape and then the vellum to the card with Vellum Adhesive. I love the outlines of all of the elephants, especially the big one in front of the sunset! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for visiting! Have a super Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 103 – A Sketch!

SIP Challenge 103 – A Sketch!

Another nice warm day with plenty of Sun! That’s a good way to start off the week, wouldn’t you say?! I got my craft on this morning and made a few cards, cleaned a little and set up some appointments for later in the week. I also made sure that I spent a lot of time outside enjoying the gorgeous day! After dinner I ran over to Heather’s to drop off the chairs that I borrowed. When I got back to my house Taylor stopped by for a bit and then some TV before bed. Not a bad Monday at all! ๐Ÿ˜€

I played with the new Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit and some of the add-ons for my Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge card…

I started my card by creating a background using some Hero Arts Navy and Grape Juice Ink and a Mini Ink Blending Tool to add color to a piece of Solar White 80lb. While it dried I cut out the circle with clouds from another piece of Solar White 80lb using one of the dies included in the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit. Next I stamped the grass and tall grass using some Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto the background and then adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a little Soft Granite to the edges of my “moon” and then adhered that to the background. The cool cat is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bengal Tigers Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Butter to Orange Ombre and Intense Black using my Mini MISTI. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out and adhered him to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Intense Black onto the “moon” and the card is done! I love the way the Hero Arts Inks even out as they dry, even when you blend them onto paper! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards! We hope that you will share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 101 – Graduation!

SIP Challenge 101 – Graduation!

Hello peeps! How was your Memorial Day? We had a rainy overcast day, not great for any outdoor activities! I spent the day doing some things around the house and then in the afternoon Jim stopped by for a visit! We watched a little TV and I got to see some pictures from the party over the weekend. I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then watched some TV. Today I’m going to get some crafty things done and then send out some emails. It’s going to be a busy productive day! ๐Ÿ˜€

So Tuesday huh?! That means that it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Graduation! I don’t know anyone that is graduating so I decided to go with a more generic card! I started by stamping the cheers from the Hero Arts December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit multiple times onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock using my MISTI and Hero Artsย Sof Pink, Bubble Gum, Pale Tomato, Red Royal and Raspberry Jam Ink. The middle cheers is cut out with the Coordinating Die along with two more pieces of Solar White 110lb. I adhered them to each other and to the inside of the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My second greeting is stamped in Red Royal on the inside under the die cut. To give the card a little sparkle I coated the die cut cheers with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to the front! It’s a pretty simple card that gets a little step up from the die cut cheers! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Graduation Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oyster & Pearl – Hero Arts

Oyster & Pearl – Hero Arts

Well, it rained all day yesterday just as they promised so I had myself a crafty day! I also got a few movies in too. It’s Mother’s Day today so Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Mom’s out there! I hope that you will be spending the day with your loved ones! I’ll be seeing my Mum and maybe the kiddies too!

I had this card in my head for a while and it finally came together yesterday! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front in Heidi Swapp Gold, Bronzer, Navy and Teal Color Shine and set it aside to dry. My oyster is from the Hero Arts May My Monthly Hero Kit, I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the oyster out with the Coordinating Frame Cut and the greeting with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The oyster is adhered to the Vellum and to the card with 3M Foam Tape. To give it a little more sparkle I added some Sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Nautical, Platinum and Brushed Gold Mixes and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the pearl. A nice simple card with a really neatย greeting! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you very much for spending some of your day with me! Have a fantastic Sunday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Glamorous, Unique & Wonderful – Hero Arts

Glamorous, Unique & Wonderful – Hero Arts

It’s the weekend peeps! I spent most of the day indoors yesterday organizing my house! It was a good day to do it, it rained for most of the day. Thankfully Sue came over to keep me on task. I tend to loose focus easily when I’m not supervised, well, at least when I’m doing chores at home. LOL! I also got in some more episodes of Blindspot, still really enjoying the show. Some more organizing this morning and then I will need to get out for a little bit! ๐Ÿ˜€

As promised I’m having a little sale at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Online Store today and tomorrow! It’s for Blog readers only! Head on over to the Website and use discount codeย JKBLOG51730 to save 25% on all orders! Saturday and Sunday only! All orders will ship out on Monday! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have a fun twist on a Mother’s Day card to share with your today! I stamped the images from the Hero Arts April My Monthly Hero Kit in Onyx Black onto some Bristol Smooth Card Stock. To color them in I used my Zig Clean Color Brush Markers and an Aquash Brush. Of course I used my Heat Tool to speed up the drying a little, no patience! They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. On my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the hangers and greetings from the same set again in Onyx Black. After I adhered the images to the card with 3M Foam Tape I used my Signo Gold Gel Pen to add some dots to make a background and also added some to the waist of the purple dress. It needed a little more sparkle so I used my Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen to give the dresses a heavy coating! It’s not a very complicated card and I do think it would make a fun one to give to Mum for her special day! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you so very much for visiting! Have a superb Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 94 – Tic-Tac-Toe from LeAnne!

SIP Challenge 94 – Tic-Tac-Toe from LeAnne!

The weather men were right for a change, it turned out to be a very nice sunny day here! I think Spring may have finally come! We had a busy day at the Store with Renee, Angie and I all working on projects. I had a little dinner with the folks when I got home and then had a nice relaxing evening. I did start watching 13 Reason Why on Netflix, it’s a pretty good show and I think that it should be required for all teenagers to see. Maybe we would all be a little nicer to each other. It’s sad but sometimes we need to see that the way we treat other people can have lasting repercussions. Today will be spent organizing paperwork, I need to get my tax stuff together! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time now for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Board from LeAnne…

To start my card I stamped the shirt, pants and flowers from the April My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored them in with my Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I also stamped the head and feet onto a Post-it note and cut them out with my Scissors. The Hero Arts Paper Layering Eiffel Tower Die is cut from Kraft. I placed the images and Eiffel Tower onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to decided where I needed to stamp the head and feet for the girl. Once they were stamped I removed all of the pieces and added the masks over the stamped images on the card. Using my Mini Ink Blending Tool I added Hero Arts Soft Pool and Green Hills Ink, a piece of Post-it Tape helps give me the nice crisp line between the colors. Next I removed the masks and adhered the pants, shirt and flowers too the card. The Eiffel Tower was adhered after I added the lace to the top of the card with Multi-Matte Medium. All that was left to do was to add the greeting, also from the April My Monthly Hero Kit and also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I do really like the images in the kit, they sort of remind me of vintage Barbie! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge from LeAnne! We hope to see your creation in the gallery so stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have an amazing Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 235

Paper Craft Crew 235

Well, guess what?! The weather men were thankfully wrong and we only got about 4 inches of snow and then it rained. The snow was really heavy to shovel as you can imagine, still better than the 18 inches that they said we were going to get! I’m sure that the ride to the Store will be fun, it certainly all froze overnight. I spent the day in the house yesterday watching TV and relaxing. I did make my card for today but that was about it. I’ll be glad to get out of the house today! ๐Ÿ˜€

The card that I made in the Stampin’ Galley is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

I used the March My Monthly Hero Kit to make my card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of Carta Bella Copper Dots Vellum 12×12 down the left side. I stamped my images from the March My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. The Coordinating Dies cut them out. I used a Craft Knife to be able to slide my carrots into the basket. The circle is a piece of Lawn Fawn Noble Fir cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. A strip of Tip Top Taupe and a strip of Tangelo Twist are adhered across the card and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All that was left to do was to adhere my bunny and basket with some 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! Love that little rabbit and his basket of carrots, so cute! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚
