Well, we had our snow yesterday. Some places got 2 inches and some places got 11 inches! Thankfully we only got about 4 inches and most of it is gone off of the roads. I managed to get all of my laundry done and a few projects finished. Taylor stopped by in the evening and then I finished off the day with a little TV. This morning I’ll be doing some stuff on the computer and following up on some things. I have a meeting later for the charity event that we are planning with Jim and Laura. A busy day just like I like them! πŸ™‚

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge to share with you…

A good sketch for some fun layers! To start my card I stamped the flowers from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sugarplum using my Mini MISTI so that I could double;e stamp them. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The leaves are cut from Noble Fir and Solar White 80lb using the Just Because Dies. I added the flowers and leaves to a tag that I cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the tag die from the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies. Next I stamped the JUST from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice. The because is also from the Just Because Die Set and is cut from Black 110lb and adhered to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I put a strip of 3M Post-it Tape across the lower half and stamped the outline leaves from the Just Because Set in Noble Fir. A strip of Cosmic Grape goes across along the top of the stamping. Down the right side is a strip of Medium Grey 110lb with the leaves heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. All that was left to do was to add the tag with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner! It’s been a while since I have made a card with some layers, I missed it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks you paying me a visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Hello from foggy Long Island! It was a beautiful day here yesterday! We got up into the 60’s, something we haven’t seen in a while! I made sure that in between trying to get some work done I went outside to enjoy the mild weather. So nice to not have to put a jacket on! I did manage to get a lot accomplished and finished off the evening with a Target run and a little TV. This morning I’m going to get a haircut and do some things around the house. It’s supposed to be warm again and then we are to have rain for the next four days. At least it’s not snow! πŸ˜€

I also squeezed in a card yesterday for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I used one of my all time favorite color combos and some new to me goodies! My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Concord & 9th Many Thanks Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp stamped inΒ Merman, Peacock, Freshly Cut Grass and Hippo using my MISTI. I find that if you print out the alignment guide from the Concord & 9th web site it makes it so much easier to get a perfect image! I added the background to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My panel is a piece of 53lb Iridescent Vellum with the corners rounded on the right. The greeting is cut from Peacock using the Concord & 9th Fabulous Phrases Dies. I added it to the vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Along the bottom is another piece of Peacock cut out with the Concord & 9th Many Thanks Dies. That is added to the Vellum with 3M Foam Tape. To adhere the Vellum to the card I used Multi-Matte Medium behind the die cut and XOXO. I liked the shimmer on the Vellum so much that I decided to use my Nuvo Glitter Gloss Aqua Shimmer Pen to add some more to the dies cuts. All that was left to do was to round the right side corners of the card and done! I forgot that I had the Vellum and I love the way it add some shimmer and tones down the background but you can still see it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a Wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! Where has this week gone?! Monday I had the Kiddos and Tristan decided that she wanted to skip her nap! By the time my Brother got home she was cranky! Not gonna lie, I was happy to get to leave! Yesterday I ran into Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary. I had a little Penn Station pizza for lunch before heading back out to the island. My Mum is in a lot of pain, she is allergic to all pain killers apparently, that just is not good! She is doing well with her physical therapy and she gets her staples out this week, hopefully that will help. Oh, Happy Valentine’s Day to you all! I hope that you get to spend some quality time with your love no matter who that is! I have a bunch pf computer stuff to get through today along with some laundry and a little cleaning. How romantic! LOL! πŸ˜€

It’s time once again for a new Paper Craft Crew sketch…

I have been wanting to use a new to me set that I picked up at The Ink Pad last week when I was there! I started by stamping some leaves from the Neat & Tangled Calathea Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman, Minty Fresh, Peacock and Freshly Cut Grass onto some Solar White 80lb. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I then stamped more onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added the die cut leaves with 3M Foam Tape and and stamped my greeting in Peacock onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. That is added across the leaves with a few Little Things by Lucy Shimmer Pool Accents. A nice simple card using some of my favorite colors! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have a love filled Wednesday! πŸ™‚

Hello and a happy Wednesday to you all! I got sidetracked yesterday morning. I ended up helping out with some projects for a friend and then headed over to see Sue for Etsy stuff. After that I went to see my Mum. She is not a happy camper and is in a lot of pain. But she is walking and doing all of her therapy, I think that she wants to get out of there as soon as possible! After that I came home and Taylor stopped by. We had a little dinner and watched TV. She left around 7:00 and I did a few things around the house and actually watched This is Us. I usually wait until the next day so I can watch it on Hulu without the commercials but I needed to see it! What did you all think of the last two episodes? This morning I’m off to The Ink Pad to cover the Store for Anna for a little bit. I hope that I remember how the register works! LOL! πŸ˜€

I did manage to get a quick card made last night for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I immediately thought of the December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. The card started out as something completely different than it finished as though! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Next Level 3D Gemstone Embossing Folder on a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock and adhered it to the front of my card base. The Martini and lemon twist are from the Hero Arts Martini Fancy Die. I cut the Martini from 65lb Vellum and the lemon twist from Gold Mirror Card. My greeting is from the December 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and is also cut from Gold Mirror Card. A few strategically placed dots of Multi-Matte Medium adhered all of the pieces to the card. I was going to add a few sequins but I didn’t want to take away from the really cool embossed background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so stop by and take a look! we hope that you will enter your card in the gallery and share your take with us! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Happy mid-week peeps! Mum’s surgery went well. She is in a little bit of pain but that’s to be expected with a double knee replacement. She is not happy that she has to be there until Friday either! I think if they would have told her that she may not have agreed to the procedure! Taylor stopped by last night for a little visit. This morning I went out to breakfast with Heather and then took her to the airport. She is off to see our friend Patti in North Carolina for a few days. πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I started my card by stamping the brushstroke square from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set in Minty Fresh and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I used two more of the dies to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card and a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a strip of Black 110lb down the left side and stamped a greeting from the stamp set in Black Licorice in the lower right. My stamped panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added the flower and leaves with a Mini Glue Dot and then used another to add a pearl to the center of the flower. A nice simple card because… well just because! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Hey there! Happy Hump Day! We were supposed to get snow this morning but it’s raining instead and will turn to snow for a few hours before it stops. Still over the Winter! I had a busy day day yesterday dealing with little issues here and there. Why does everything happen all at once?! I’m sure that it’s the same for all of us but boy one thing goes sideways and everything else follows! I should have it all under control today, positive thinking right?! I did go over to Jim’s last night and we got his Mom’s den all put back together. Check that project off of the list. This morning I’m off to watch the kiddies! Not a bad way to spend a Wednesday! πŸ˜€

I received the My Monthly Hero Kit yesterday so I used that for my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the Love from the Set in Soft Pink and Red Royal using my Mini MISTI. In the upper left and lower right are pieces of Galvanized Curious Metallic Card that I cut out with one of the Dies from the Kit. They are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. There is a fun pack of Sequins included and I could resist adding some, they give it just the right amount of sparkle! I do really like that Love with the layering, so neat and different! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Well, either it’s not as cold as it has been or I’m finally becoming immune to it! LOL! I don’t think that I will ever become immune to the cold, just not my kind of weather! It was a little warmer yesterday, got up into the 30’s which melted a teeny bit of the snow. I ran my errands in the morning and did a little cleaning too. Jim and I went to see Star Wars – The Last Jedi in the evening and it was really good. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan again! πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new sketch from the Paper Craft Crew

Keeping with my simple cards I did a one layer one today! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I heat embossed the brushstrokes and thank you from the Concord & 9th Painted Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. On a diagonal across the lower half of the card I added a piece of Gold Sparkle Washi Tape. It needed a little something more so I took out my Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and added just a few for a some bling. Another super simple but easy to mass produce card! The gold heat embossing makes it a little more special don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Did you know that I moved to Antarctica?! Me either but that’s exactly what it feels like here! I woke up to 12 degrees and it hasn’t been above 25 in over a week! Oh how I love the Winter… NOT! To make things even more fun we are to get some snow tomorrow. No thanks! I did have a productive day yesterday, I went over to Jim’s in the morning and we undecorated his house and had lunch. I was back home by 3:00 and took down Christmas at my place too. Today I have some laundry to do and cleaning, all things that can be done without going outside! LOL! πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I have had the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp for a while and I finally inked it up to make today’s card! Using My MISTI and someΒ Minty Fresh, Merman, Peacock and Hippo Ink to stamp it onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The greeting is from the same set, I stamped it in Black Licorice and then offset it and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For a little sparkle, some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones are added to the centers of the larger ones! A nice simple card to let someone know that you think they are amazing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! It has become seriously cold here! I woke up to 20 degrees this morning and lots of wind! Poor Cali was not happy on her walk this morning and neither was I! LOL! Yesterday I ran some errands then met up with Heather and Steph after dinner so that they could go and vote for Fire Commissioner. Heather and I stopped by to see Brian and Kim’s house, they are expanding it out to the side and up. It was pretty neat to see the construction, the shell went up really fast! When I got back home Taylor was here snuggling with Cali. Her and I ran a few more errands and then I called it a night. Not sure what I’m up to this morning but I know there will be some laundry in there somewhere! πŸ˜€

I did a little FaceTime crafting with Andrea yesterday and made my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by reaching for the Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Kit. The vase is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card, colored in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I used the lattice window die to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card. For my background I spattered some Heidi Swapp Gold and Teal Color Shine onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The two strips of patterned paper are from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad. I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on the teal strip and flagged both ends of the butterfly strip before adhering them to the card. Some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive hold the lattice window in place and a little 3M Foam Tape secures the vase. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the December My Monthly Hero Kit, so many fun things to use in it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

A somewhat gloomy day here yesterday weather wise but those are good days to get stuff done! I completed a bunch of things in the morning, including getting some gifts ordered. Taylor came by around 5:00 and took Cali over to my Parent’s to have dinner with them. I ran out to a few stores with Heather and got some more gifts out of the way. Heather made a quick dinner and when I got home Cali was over at my Parent’s because my Mum didn’t like that she was alone! I think someone really likes the little dog! This morning I have some cleaning to do and then Jim will be by later for dinner. πŸ˜€

I squeezed in a card lasst night and it’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I definitely took a simple approach! I started by stamping the Hero Arts Snowy Scene Wood Mount Stamp in Hero Arts Lilac to Grape Purple Ombre Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and trimming it so it had no border. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb with a piece of Silver Glitter Card adhered on the left. The panel is then added to a card base of Solar white 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I used some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered to the card. I still love that Snowy Scene stamp, it’s perfect for making a quick card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! You can see more inspiration over on the BLOG and be sure to share your card with us in the gallery!
