Paper Craft Crew Sketch 31

Woo hoo! We made it to Wednesday! How are you all today? I’m doing good. I’m thinking that I need a mental health day soon, so much to do and no where near enough time to get it all done! It’s raining here this morning and did all last night but I’ll take rain any day over snow! And the wind… let’s not even mention the wind! How is the weather where you are? Hopefully it’s pleasant and sunny!

Today I have my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a super clean and simple one…

PCCCCS031 TCC 2-27-2013

I love this sketch! As soon as I saw it I thought the little squares look just like stamps and I get to use my current favorite stamp set! The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped the greeting in the lower right corner from the Sent with Love Stamp Set in Midnight Muse. The background is a piece of paper from the Sent with Love Designer Series Paper Pack. The images that represent the squares are also form the Sent with Love Stamp Set. I stamped them in Soft Suede and Midnight Muse and punched them out with the Postage Stamp Punch. They are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Like I said, super simple. This would make a great workshop card or a quick Thank You card! I hope that you enjoyed my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week’s challenge. Head on over to the blog to see what my fellow design team members have come up with and enter your card so I can take a look! Thank you so much for your time today, I hope you have a great day! 🙂

PCCCCS030 TMM 2-20-2013

There are some nice layers on this one and I wanted to use some old and some new so here is what I came up with. The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock. The background is a simple piece of Early Espresso. On the top part is a piece of paper from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper Pack that is part of Sale-A-Bration. A small square of Early Espresso is on top of that to the right and there are three white Neutrals Brads in the right corner. Next up is a strip of Summer Starfruit that I stamped in Early Espresso with the Amazing Accent Stampin’ Around Wheel. The circle is a piece of Whisper White that I punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. For the flowers I used the World Treasures Stamp Set and stamped them in Summer Starfruit. The greeting is from the Bloomin’ Marvelous Stamp Set that is also part of Sale-A-Bration and is stamped in Early Espresso. A piece of Early Espresso 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon is adhered around the back of the Summer Starfruit piece. I used a Naturals Designer Button and a white brad from a recent clearance rack purchase that I cut the legs off of and adhered to the button with Mini Glue Dots on the top of the button. Under it is a piece of Whisper White that I stamped with the teeny butterflies from the Itty Bitties Stamp Set in Early Espresso and punched out with the Jewelry Tag Punch. I like the way the mix of patterns from the paper and stamps works together and I love the colors. I hope that you enjoyed my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week’s sketch challenge. Head on over to the blog and see what my teammates have come up with and enter a card of you own for me to take a look at! Thank you so much for taking some time to visit me today. I hope you all have a glorious day! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew Sketch 29

Good Wednesday morning my peeps! How are you today? I’m ok, I have a toothache. Thankfully I took some Ibuprofen and it helped. I guess I will be going to the Dentist. I really don’t like the dentist. I guess I had a bad experience when I was little because I have a un-natural fear. Wish me luck! On the weather front, we didn’t get any snow today, I was mistaken. It’s supposed to happen tonight with anywhere from 1″ to 3″. I’m hoping for the 1″ if any!

Today, being Wednesday, means it time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a sketch…

PCCCCS029 TCC V'day 2-13-2013

Since Valentine’s Day is tomorrow I went with a love theme. The base of my card starts off with a piece of Real Red Card Stock and the background is just a plain piece of Crumb Cake. Up in the right hand corner we have a piece of Whisper White that I stamped in Real Red using the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set and I cut it out with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies. The ticket is from the That’s the Ticket Stamp Set and is also stamped in Real Red. I punched it out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch and put a piece of Real Red behind it and ticketed the corners with the Small Heart Punch. A Tea Lace Doily serves as a background for my pair of Real Red hearts that I cut out with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For a little sparkle I punched a piece of Red Glimmer Paper out with the Small Heart punch and adhered that too with a Stampin’ Dimensional. I like the simplicity of the card but it also has just enough to not be too simple. I hope that you enjoyed my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week. Click on over and take a look at what the other deigners have for you this week and upload one of your creations for us to see. Thanks for checking in and I hope that you have lovely day!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch 027

Wednesday! Halfway to Friday! So, I have decided to stop obsessing about the weather. I will say one last time that I am looking forward to spring. Yesterday was an early to work day. I’m feeling a bit sluggish today, 5 hours of sleep is apparently not enough for me. I’ll have to see if I can catch up later, probably not! How are all of you today? I am having a quiet week so no complaints on my end. 🙂

For today’s post I have my Paper Craft Crew card. This week we have a sketch…

PCCCS027-Sketch

I’m really liking the colors in the Sycamore Street DSP from Sale-A-Bration so there is little strip on my card again! The base of today’s card is a piece of Island Indigo Card Stock. Some Sahara Sand is embossed with the Cloudy Day Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background. I stamped the greeting and the umbrella handle on a piece of Whisper White. The greeting in Tangerine Tango and the umbrella handle in Soft Suede. The top of the umbrella is stamped in Island Indigo and cut out with my Paper Snips. I curved it and mounted it to the greeting panel with a Stampin’ Dimensional. All of these elements are from the Rain or Shine Stamp Set. A strip of Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper goes across the top and on top of that is a piece of Pool Party that I embossed with the Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The image inside the Soda Pop Top is form the Spring Sampler Stamp Set and is stamped in Tangerine Tango and punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. I choose a Tangerine Tango Button from the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack and put a thin piece of Pool Party through it for the “thread”. Both the Soda Pop Top and the button are adhered to the card with Mini Glue Dots. I really do like this card a lot, I’m usually my worst critic, but this one I like! I hope that you like it too. Thank you for looking at my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week’s sketch challenge. I hope that you enjoy your day… Rain or Shine!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch & Color Challenge #26

Well here we are at Wednesday again! Halfway there! It is bitterly cold here on Long Island. I think the high temperature yesterday was 21 degrees and it’s 10 degrees now! The little bit of snow that we had still is there in some places. They say we are supposed to get more snow on Friday, I hope they are wrong. Did you make your lists and place your Sale-A-Bration orders yesterday? I really think that items they have tis year are among the best they have had in a while. I’m having so much fun playing with my goodies!

Now on to today’s post which is my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a sketch and color challenge…

PCCCS026-Sketch

And the colors are Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue and Pretty in Pink. I will admit that I struggled a little with the colors. I finally settled upon a Valentine for my card. The base of the card is Pretty in Pink Card Stock. I stamped a piece of Bashful Blue with the Distressed Dots Background Stamp in Bashful Blue. The strip of paper down the length of the right side is Floral District Designer Series Paper and there is a piece of Daffodil Delight next to it. The main panel consists of a piece of Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue that I cut out with the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies. The pink one is pierced around the edge using the Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool. I used the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the blue piece. The stamped image is the Happy Heart Single Stamp that is stamped in Pretty in Pink and punched out with the Full Heart Punch. They are mounted to each other and the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Bashful Blue, also embossed with the polkadots, is cut out with the Petite Curly Label Punch**. On top of that is a piece of Pretty in Pink that I punched out with the Small Heart Punch. I used the Heart to Heart Punch (Vintage) and the Owl Builder Punch to punch out some Silver Glimmer Paper to give it a little sparkle. I actually like the card and it reminds me of candy for some reason. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch & Color Challenge. Please stop by the blog to see what the other designers have come up with and enter a card of your own. Thank you so much for visiting with me today and I hope the rest of your day is great!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch 25

Wednesday already?! Where is the week going? I have been a very busy boy all week, although it does mean that we are closer to Friday! LOL! I know, I’m a little obsessed with Friday! How is everyone today? I’m not too bad. It sleeted here a little last night but has turned to rain and is supposed to stop soon. I guess it’s winter again!

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week have a sketch and color combo. I did the sketch but not the color combo…

PCCCS025-Sketch

Colors: Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Basic Gray

I wanted to use some Summer Starfruit and one of my favorite Designer Series papers, Comfort CafĂ© has it in it so I choose the rest of the colors from there. The base of the card is Soft Suede Card Stock. The background is a piece of Comfort CafĂ© Designer Series Paper. I backed it with some Very Vanilla to make it a little more ridgid so that it was easier to adhere the piece of Midnight Muse 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the back with some Sticky Strip. A strip of Midnight Muse embossed with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder goes down the left side. I punched out some Cajun Craze with the Curly Label Punch and stamped them in Midnight Muse with an image from the Creative Elements Stamp Set. The hellos are form the Petite Pretties Stamp Set** and are stamped in Summer Starfruit. I used the Petite Curly Label Punch to punch them out and adhered them to the larger labels with SNAIL. They are then adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the way the the image from Creative Elements is similar to the pattern in the DSP and I love the colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week’s challenge. Click on over and see what the other deigners have in store for you and upload your card! Thanks, as always, for your visit and I hope that you have a very nice Wednesday!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #24

Hello everyone! So here we are at Wednesday, almost there! The weather has been much nicer around here lately. It has been in the 40’s and I think it’s supposed to go up to the 50’s over the weekend. I’m making a list of things that I want to do when it gets warmer outside. Does it show that I can’t wait for the spring?!?!

If it’s Wednesday that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a simple sketch…

PCCCS024-Sketch

I wanted to use some new products from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration promotion that starts January 22, 2013. I also haven’t tried the Creped Filter Paper that I got from the 2013 Spring Catalog so I incorporated it into this card. The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. The background is a piece of Creped Filter Paper. I used my Glue Stick to adhere it to the card base. For the strip of Paper I used a piece from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack. The flags are Soft Suede, the bottom one has some Metallic 3/16″ Brads on it. I used the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set** for the image and greeting. I stamped both of them in Midnight Muse and used the 2 1/2″ Circle punch to punch out the Penny Farthing. The large button is one of the Silver Basic Designer Buttons and I threaded some Whisper White Bakers Twine through the holes and left the ends long before adhering it to the card with some Mini Glue Dots. This card would be great for a masculine birthday card and I really like the texture that the Creped Filter Paper gives the background. I hope you enjoyed my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week’s sketch challenge. Head on over to the blog and see what the other designers have come up with and post a card of your own! Thanks, as always for taking some time to stop by and see what I’m up to. I hope that you all have a wonderful day!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #23 & Blog Candy!

Hello peeps! Well I must say that it was nice to have a day off yesterday and I got a lot done too! I ran some errands, made some cards and straightened up the kitchen. It is a little too cold for my liking around here lately and I think it’s supposed to get a lot colder over the next few days. I’m definitely more of a spring person than a winter one! My poor convertible doesn’t like this weather at all either, she is wondering when she will be topless again! I spoke to my aunt in Wisconsin today and she told me that they have had about 20 some inches of snow, that is definitely not for me! How many more months until spring?!

Today’s post is the first Paper Craft Crew challenge of the new year. As an added bonus we have some BLOG CANDY! Enter your card for a chance to win an Artisan Embellishments Kit from the 2013 Spring Catalog! This week have a sweet little sketch to work with…

PCCCS023-Sketch

I decided that I hd to use my favorite stamp set from the Holiday Catalog one last time. I also needed some bright colors to chase away some of my winter blues. The base of my card is Pacific Point Card Stock. For the background I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Before I adhered it to the card I used some Real Red 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon, that I recently acquired from the Clearance Rack, across the middle and secured with some Sticky Strip around the back. The main panel is a piece of Pool Party that I cut the bottom off of with the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies. I stamped the images from the Affection Collection Stamp Set in Pool Party and Pacific Point. The banner and the winged heart are cut out with my Paper Snips and are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals to each other and the card. I used the Small Heart Punch to punch out a piece of Red Glimmer Paper and affixed that to the winged heart with some SNAIL. The love is stamped in Pacific Point and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch. I backed it with a piece of Pool Party that is punched out with the same and the middle is cut out and adhered to the back with SNAIL. Some more Stampin’ Dimensionals keep it on the card. I really love the Affection Collection Stamp Set and am going to miss it. I hope that enjoyed my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this weeks sketch challenge. Don’t forget to enter you card for a chance to win an Artisan Embellishment Kit from the NEW 2013 Spring Catalog! Thank you for taking a look and I hope that day 2 of the New Year is a great one!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch/Color Challenge #22

Happy day after Christmas! I hope that Santa was good to you all, he was very good to me! The best part of the holiday is spending time with family and friends. I had a nice relaxing day and still found some time to craft a little and watch a movie. With Christmas over I can;t believe that year is almost over. I think it went really fast, how about you? In the blink pf an eye it will be 2013, thankfully the Mayans were wrong!

Today I have my post for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a sketch/color challenge. You can do just the sketch or both, this week I did both. The colors are Bravo Burgundy, More Mustard and Crumb Cake and here is the sketch…

PCCCS022-Sketch

You all know how I feel about flags… love them! The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. For the background I stamped a piece of Crumb Cake with the Parlor Prints Background Stamp in Crumb Cake. The flagged piece is Bravo Burgundy and I embossed it with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The greeting is from the Amazing Family Stamp Set* and is stamped in Bravo Burgundy. The “ribbon” strip is More Mustard and I stamped it in More Mustard with the Travel Journal Builder Wheel. For the embellishment I used a Soda Pop Top* and stamped some images from the Collage Curios Stamp Set* in Crumb Cake and Bravo Burgundy. The image is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and adhered to the inside of the Soda Pop Top* with some Multipurpose Glue. I backed it with a piece of More Mustard that I cut out with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits Dies* and mounted them to each other with some Mini Glue Dots and to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the way that all of the elements coordinate together and give the card a slightly vintage look. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Challenge. Don’t forget to submit your projects for me to see! Thank you so much for your time and I hope that you all have a fantastic day! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #21 & Sneak Peek

Hello and welcome to Wednesday… brought to you today by The Paper Craft Crew Challenge. I try to think up new ways to start off and it gets hard sometimes! LOL! I hope everyone had a nice day yesterday. It was dreary here for most of the day with a peek of sun and them some heavy rain for about 20 minutes. A little odd but what can you do? So, now on to today’s business.

As I mentioned, today’s post is for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have this sketch challenge…

PCCCS021-Sketch

This was one where as soon as I saw it I knew what I was going to use, I love when that happens!  We start the card off with a base of Primrose Petals Card Stock. The next layer consists of a piece of paper from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack*. I adhered a piece of Raspberry Ripple to the right that I punched with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. A piece of Summer Starfruit 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip and covers the seam. Next, the panel is adhered to the card with SNAIL. The greeting is stamped on a piece of Very Vanilla in Raspberry Ripple and is from the Oh, Hello Stamp Set*. I pierced around the edge with the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The image is form the Secret Garden Stamp Set* and is stamped in Primrose Petals on Primrose Petals Card Stock. I used the Secret Garden Framelits Dies* to perfectly and easily cut it out. It too is mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and an In-Color Dahlia is adhered to the middle with a Mini Glue Dot. I’m becoming a fast fan of the new Print Poetry DSP Stack* and loving the Secret Garden Stamps* and Framelits*. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! 🙂
