Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #20 & Sneak Peek

Good morning peeps! This week is just flying by isn’t it?! I’m falling behind on my to do list and a little bit of panic is setting in. I’ll try to catch up some tomorrow night. How are the holidays coming along for you? Are you all on schedule? My daughter did come over tonight and put the tree up for me. Now some decorations and that will be all done! That will put the cap on my festive holiday needs!

Today’s post is for my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This time around we have a sketch…

PCCCS020-Sketch

It has a flag on it and some brads, I’m already a fan! The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. I used the Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder* on a piece of Sahara Sand for my background. I have been using Sahara Sand a lot more lately, it makes a great substitute for Crumb Cake or Very Vanilla. The main stamped image is from the Vintage Verses Stamp Set** and is stamped in Midnight Muse on Very Vanilla. I used the 3/16″ Corner Rounder on it and the piece of Midnight Muse that I backed it with. A piece of Raspberry Ripple is punched out with the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and mounted behind the stamped image. I pierced three holes in it and put three Metallic 3/16″ Brads through it. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. The flagged piece is Raspberry Ripple and adhered with SNAIL. The flower image is from the Madison Avenue Stamp Set** and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple. The Floral Frames Collection Framelits Dies are used to cut it out and I backed it with a piece of Raspberry Ripple that I punched out with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch. Another Metallic Brad holds them together and a Stampin’ Dimensional adheres it to the card. I love the colors together and I think this would even make a great masculine card. The flower is more a hint that an actual flower and the colors bright but subtle at the same time thanks to the Sahara Sand. I’m in love with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, it’s so versatile! I hope that you enjoyed you little sneak peek and my Paper Craft Crew Design Team Crew card for this week. Hop on over to the site and check out what the other designers have come up with and post one of yours for us to take a look at. Thank you for stopping by and I hope that you have a great day!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge 19

Yeah! It’s Wednesday and that means we are halfway to the weekend! How are you all doing so far? I’m doing ok, I’ll be better of course later because my pre-order from the new Spring Catalog will be in my hands! I can’t wait to play! I’ll have some sneak peeks for you and I’m looking forward to sharing them with you in the coming weeks.

Today’s post is for my Design Team card for the Paper Craft Crew. This week we have a sketch and/or color challenge. I opted to do the sketch part…

PCCCS019-Sketch

I have been a little obsessed of late with the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die. I love it made to look like a manila envelope. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. The top half of the background is a piece of paper from the Comfort Café Designer Series Paper. The bottom is created with a piece of Pool Party that I cut with the Large Scallop Edgelits Die and then embossed with the Delicate Details Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of “Vintage” Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon conceals the seam. I used the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die to cut out a piece of Very Vanilla and adhered the one side and the flap to make the tiny manila envelope. The image stamped on it is from the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set and is inked in Pool Party. I stamped the butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set in Pool Part on Pool Party and punched it out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. A thin piece of Sticky Strip holds it to the envelope and some Basic Jewels Pearls make the body. The greeting is from the Made for You Stamp Set and is stamped in Pool Party. The final touch is a piece of Pool Party that I flagged and adhered in the upper left of the envelope. I love the fact that you can fit a gift card inside the envelope as you can see in the second picture. I hope that you enjoyed this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch card. Thank you for visiting with me today and I hope you have a very nice Wednesday!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch 18

Good morning! Well, this week is moving along rapidly. I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already. It will be Christmas before you know it. Time to finish up those cards and get started on making some gifts! I have a question for you, what do you prefer: a store bought gift, a gift card or a handmade gift? Please leave me a comment to let me know!

My post today is for the Paper Craft Crew. This week we have a sketch…

A fun paneled sketch! My card starts off with a base of Crumb Cake Card Stock. The background uses a piece from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. The Cherry Cobbler piece to the left is stamped with the Timber Stampin’ Around Wheel in Cherry Cobbler. I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with the “Vintage” Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to go to the side of that. The stamped image is from the “Vintage” Jolly Old St. Nick Stamp Set. The snowman is stamped in Basic Black Ink and then colored in with Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Markers. I punched him out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and backed him with a piece of Crumb Cake that I cut out with the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzilit. Both pieces are adhered together with SNAIL and then adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Merry Christmas is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and the one end is flagged. A flower form the Boho Blossoms Punch in Cherry Cobbler backs a Natural Designer Button with some Linen Thread tied in a bow. That is adhered with a Mini Glue Dot to the left of the flagged greeting. I really like the Jolly Old St. Nick Stamp Set, the images are perfect for some older looking Christmas Cards. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge. Thanks for checking in and don’t forget to leave a comment on your favorite gift! Have a productively amazing day!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #17

Happy Thanksgiving! Today is the day that we stuff ourselves while spending some much needed quality time with family and friends. I love any holiday because it means that there is no work! LOL! I have a 4 day weekend so I’m going to make my holiday cards and get them ready to be sent out. I hope that you enjoyed the Control Freaks Blog Tour yesterday! Thank you all so much for stopping by and for all your comments! You guys rock!

My post today is for my Paper Craft Crew Design Team card for this week’s challenge. This week we have this sketch to get creative with…

I poked through my Designer Series Paper and settled on some Be of Good Cheer. I like this particular print because it has quite a few colors in it. The base of my card is Primrose Petals Card Stock. The background is the piece of Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper that I mentioned. It has Primrose Petals, Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery and some Gumball Green. I put a piece of Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon on the left side adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. Then I embossed a piece of Certainly Celery with the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the middle square. The ornaments are from the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set and are stamped in Primrose Petals and Gumball Green. I punched them out with the Ornament Punch and adhered them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The two flagged pieces are Pink Pirouette and Wild Wasabi. I punched out a piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Boho Blossoms Punch and the greeting from the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set, stamped in Cherry Cobbler, with the 3/4″ Circle Punch. A Vintage Faceted Designer Button with a Basic Jewels Rhinestone in the middle is adhered to it with a Mini Glue Dot. I like the simplicity and softness of the card and I hope that you enjoyed it too. Thank you for joining me for my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge and you for taking some time out of your busy day to visit. Have a fun and filling Thanksgiving!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch 016

Hello and welcome to Wednesday! Halfway through the week is always a good thing. How has your week been so far? Mine has been ok. I went out to dinner with my peeps last night and we had a nice time. It’s a little cold here and rained most of the day yesterday but anything is better than a hurricane or snow right! LOL!

Today’s post is for this week’s Design Team card for the Paper Craft Crew. This week we have a sketch…

Lots of circles! The base of my card is Whisper White Card Stock. I punched the edge of a piece of Baja Breeze with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and stamped it in Baja Breeze with the Woodgrain Background Stamp. The wide strip that goes down the right side is a piece of Riding Hood Red with a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper on top. It gives the card a heavy dose of bling! The image is from the Four Seasons Host(ess) Stamp Set and is stamped twice, once in Baja Breeze and again in Riding Hood Red. The Baja Breeze piece is punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch and the Riding Hood Red center is punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. They are adhered to each other and the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Riding Hood Red and punched out with the Word Window Punch. I punched a piece of Riding Hood Red out with the Modern Label Punch to back it before adhering it the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The little circles are punched out with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and are also adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I really like the image with the Woodgrain Background and the Silver Glimmer Paper, it gives it a frosty woodsy feel. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Design Team. Click on over and see what the rest of the team has come up with and enter a card of your own. Thank you for stopping by and enjoy your day!

Paper Craft Crew Sketch 15

Happy Wednesday! I hope that you are all well today. Yes, I still have no power, it’s been over a week. Sigh… it’s getting colder and electric would be nice! I hope that all of the other people have found a warm place to stay, I’ll be at Louis’ again. I’m sure that he will eventually tire of me! LOL!

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew. This week’s sketch is pretty neat. I liked it so much that I didn’t change anything! Here it is…

My card starts off with a base of Lucky Limeade Card Stock. On the right side we have a piece of paper from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack. On the left side I took a piece of Crumb Cake and cut the edge with the Adorning Accents Edgelits Dies. I then ran it through the Big Shot again with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder. Both of the background pieces are adhered to the card with SNAIL. The next element to go on the card are the fagged pieces of Lucky Limeade and Cherry Cobbler. The Very Vanilla piece is stamped with the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set in Crumb Cake and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut the heart out with the Hearts Collection Framelits Dies and then embossed it with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. It too is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The cute little gingerbread man is from the Scentsational Season Stamp Set and is stamped in Crumb Cake and cut out with the Holiday Collection Framelits Dies. I love the gingerbread man with the heart behind him, he’s a very happy guy! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Design Crew Challenge. Don’t forget to head over to the blog and check out the other designers cards and enter one of your own! Also, come back later today, we will be announcing the winner of our respective blog candy! Lots of elements and room for interpretation. My card starts with a base of Always Artichoke Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Crumb Cake with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Across the bottom is a piece of Riding Hood Red that I stamped with the Good Cheer Builder Wheel in Riding Hood Red. A piece of retired Riding Hood Red Satin Ribbon goes across the middle. The image is from the Winter Memories Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black and colored in with Riding Hood Red, Always Artichoke,  Marina Mist, Rose Red, Perfect Plum, Crumb Cake, Pretty In Pink, Bashful Blue and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers. I cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies, turning it a second time to get the squared shaped. Some piercing with the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper-Piercing Tool helps dress it up and it’s adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Merry Minis Stamp Set and the Merry Minis Punch Pack make the little banner stamped in Riding Hood Red and Always Artichoke. Some Whisper White Bakers Twine strings them together. The greeting is from the Winter Memories Stamp Set too and is stamped in Always Artichoke and underlined with the Always Artichoke Marker. I edged it with the marker to before I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The button is a Naturals Designer Button with a Whisper White Bakers Twine bow. I adhered it to the card with two stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the homey warm feel of the card, it makes all of the coloring worth it! Paper Craft Crew Sketch 13

Good Wednesday morning! Wednesday means that we are halfway to the weekend! Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Design Team Card. This week we have a sketch…

I went with a non-traditional Holiday card. The base of my card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Early Espresso with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for my background. The two flagged strips are Cherry Cobbler and Soft Suede and they are adhered to the card with SNAIL. The image is from the Greetings of the Season Stamp Set and is stamped in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla. I cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. I used two of the same Framelits to cut out a piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper to create a frame for the image. The frame and the label are both mounted to the card and each other with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of retired Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon tied in a bow finishes off the card. I love the simplicity of the sketch and the glimmer paper gives the card a nice balance. I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge. Click on over to the site to see what the other designers have come up with and enter your card too! Thank you for checking in with me and have a great day! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge 12

Hello and a good morning to you all! I’m still stuffy from my cold and I think the worst part is my ears being clogged. All I keep saying is what?! I hope that you all are doing ok. Today’s post is for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week the other designers a I are given this neat sketch…

I really like the layout, clean and simple and some flags! The base of my card is Sahara Sand Card Stock. I stamped a piece of Raspberry Ripple randomly with the Snowflake Soiree Stamp Set in Raspberry Ripple for my background. The small piece of paper under the two Raspberry Ripple flags is Patio Party Designer Series Paper. The main image is from the Wonderful Winterland Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Black. The images in this set are fun and great for coloring in and that’s just what I did. I used Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Sarah Sand, Soft Suede, Blush Blossom and Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Markers. The greeting is form the More Merry Messages Stamp Set and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple. All of the elements are adhered to the card with SNAIL. The piece of ribbon across the lower half of the card is Summer Starfruit 3/8″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon. Some Basic Jewels Rhinestones are adhered to the ribbon for a little bling. I really like the mix of colors and the cute little girl and rabbit are perfect for anyone for Christmas. I hope tou enjoyed my Design Team card for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge this week. Thank you fo visiting and have a great day! 🙂
