Monday already huh?! Another weekend zipped by! I did end up going to the beach with Heather in the morning yesterday, we stayed for a few hours and then ran a some errands. She made me a turkey burger for dinner and then her and George had to go to a wake so I headed back to my house. Later on Taylor came by and we watched TV for a bit. This morning I have a bunch of things to get finished on the computer and it’s supposed to rain so it will be the perfect day for it! πŸ˜€

I made a quick card late last night and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To begin my card I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp onto a piece of Smoky Slate with Doe Ink and used my Scissors to cut it out. For the greeting I heat embossed one from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb adhered to the front. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered the tree ring to the card. The little tree rings are from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped randomly in Yeti Ink onto the background. To finished the card I added Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins! As you can see from the picture that Tree Ring is a very well loved stamp! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

As predicted most of yesterday was quiet. I read a little in the morning and then around 3:00 I headed over to Brian & Kim’s to celebrate Kim’s brother Kevin’s birthday! Heather and George were there so I spent most of my time with them. We had fun and it was good to see everyone! Taylor came by and spent the rest of the night with me, we watched a little TV. This morning I’m going to get some cleaning done! Ahh… Mondays! πŸ˜€

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I went diagonal from top left to bottom right. My card started by me using the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill0In Stencils and some Sunflower and Lobster Ink to color the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill-In Patterned Paper. I trimmed it to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Β and then used the Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles to cut out a piece from the left side. It’s adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Then I placed it in my Mini MISTI and stamped the greeting from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sunflower inside the negative space of the circle. A few Teresa Collins Red Enamel Dots complete the card! I love the Fill-In Papers and how you can make them any color that you want! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Thank you for starting another one of your weeks off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚

Another weekend whizzed by as they always do. I spent a little more time organizing the Stampin’ Galley again yesterday. It has become very apparent that it’s going to take a long time to get it done, I have wayyyyyy too much stuff! It didn’t rain again so I sat outside for a while, it was cooler so it was very nice. Today, more crafty purging, can’t wait to get it finished! πŸ˜€

I made a fun little card yesterday for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I love when I can get a lot of use out of a stamp set and the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Set is a great one, so many different options! To start the card I used a few of the images from the set to stamp a watermelon background on a piece of Solar White 80lb using Lobster, Noble Fir and Black Licorice Ink. Next I trimmed a piece of 65lb Vellum to the same size as the stamped panel and lined up one of the Orange You Sweet Dies over the watermelon on the right and used the die to cut it out from only the Vellum. Then I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left of the Vellum. It’s placed back over the stamped piece so I could decided where I wanted my Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Marshmallow Sequins. They are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium, after they dried I added dots of Multi-Matte Medium behind the sequins and adhered it to the stamped panel. A piece of Noble Fir is adhered to the back of that and then the whole thing is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I do love the way the vellum softens the rest of the background and the cutout gives that one a nice pop! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Player sketch challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 352 & Freshly Made Sketches 296

Well, I did get some of the stuff done that I wanted to finish yesterday. I also had to take a ride over to Heather’s job to drop something off to her. When I got back home I went next door to do some laundry and locked myself out of the house! Don’t know how that happened! Around 5:30 I headed over to Heather’s, she made me dinner and we ran some errands. A good way to end the evening! This morning more stuff that needs to get done will get done! πŸ˜€

I have a double challenge card for you today! That almost never happens but I wanted to get my Paper Players card in before it was too late and I had an idea for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge so I combined them! Here are the two challenges…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the My Favorite Things Romantic Script Background in Smoke Ink onto another piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The bird is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bird and Branch Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped him in Thistle, Hot Mama and Grape Juice, his feet in Khaki, and then used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out. His feet are adhered with E-Z Runner and the body with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. It’s adhered in the lower right corner and the card is done! I love that scripty background and the fun bird! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players and Freshly Made Sketches Challenges! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! πŸ™‚

It was a nice day here yesterday, in the high 80’s with lots of sun. I decided that it was important for me to be outside and enjoy it so I didn’t get as much done as I had wanted to but I still did manage to accomplish some things. I crafted for a bit and got a few things done on the computer. This morning I’m off to Manhattan again for the better part of the day. A nice way to start off my week! πŸ˜€

Monday and I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I began by stamping the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with some Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. My two hearts are die cut from Merman and Bluejay Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Dies. On the Merman one I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out the word YOU. The celebrate is cut from another piece of Bluejay and adhered to the heart with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I adhered the Bluejay heart to the card front with E-Z Runner and then used 3M Foam Tape to adhered to the Merman one adding the YOU back into the center. A few Pretty Pink Posh Cobalt Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice simple layout and I love the die cut YOU from the heart! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks so much for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚

And back to reality! I did have one of the best weekends in recent memory! We all had so much fun at Jim’s country house on the lake! The traffic was a little horrendous on the way home but that’s New York! We did stop for a little lunch and I got back to my house around 4:30. I decompressed for a bit and then Taylor came by and we ran a few errands and got Wendy’s for dinner. I also made my card for today! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see my friend Isabella! It’s been way too long! πŸ˜€

That card that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Delicate Petals Stencil with my Stencil Brush and some Lime Green Ink to add a little color to the background. Down the left side is a strip of Night of Navy. The Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies are used to cut out a piece of Lime and I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. My butterflies are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped them in Tide Pool and Navy using my Mini MISTI and then cut them out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. It’s heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another strip of Night of Navy. All of the butterflies and greeting are adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I really am enjoying my stencils and brush, such an easy way to add some color to a card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚

Another quick weekend done! I hope that you all enjoyed your Father’s Day! I had a nice quiet day, did some laundry in the morning and spent some time with Dad. Taylor came by in the afternoon and we had dinner and watched a little TV. I think it’s supposed to rain again today, guess I will try and get some card making in! πŸ˜€

Let’s start the week off with my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I really have been enjoying making clean and simple cards lately! Today is another simple one layer one! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped some images and a greeting from the Concord & 9th Birdie Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice and Moonstone Ink. I added some Black Gel pen to the eyes and some gold to their beaks. The background needed a little something so I took my Uni-ball Gold Gel Pen and added some dots. That’s it! A super simple card using minimal supplies! It would be a great one to make into a set to give to someone too! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for starting another week off her with me! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚

What can I say about my Sunday… well, for starters this was pretty much my view for the day…

That was at 7:30am but you can see that it was a perfect day! They had the Long Beach LGBT Pride on the Beach weekend and Jim had to be there for work so I spent the day with him on the boardwalk. I got to see a lot of people from FREE where I used to work and also got to meet a few people from Jim’s work and they were awesome peeps! I sometimes forget that I live on an island with pretty nice beaches! We were there until 6:00. After we packed up the car we stopped and got some dinner and went back to Jim’s to eat. The perfect end to a wonderful, amazing weekend! πŸ˜€

To start off the week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Once again I just wanted to stamp! I created a card base out of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and masked off a section near the top. In that section I stamped the balloons from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits Photopolymer Stamp Set and outlines in Slate, Catkin, Lake Shores and Duckling. After I removed the masks I added a strip of Black 110lb Card Stock to the top and bottom of the stamped area. Just one thing left, I stamped the greeting in Slate and finished! Super simple and extremely mailable! Win-win! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for once again starting your week off with me! Have an extremely excellent Monday! πŸ™‚

It was another day that started out gloomy and turned bright and sunny by the afternoon! I got lots accomplished too, made a few cards, made a bunch of thank you cards for a friend, ran to the Post Office and had dinner with my Parents. We did another Wine Wednesday this week. Heather, Steph and I were joined by Taylor for a little while. Always love to get see the child! This morning I have a lot of planning to do, staying focused is the key! LOL!

One of my cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I played with some more of my Simon Stamps! To create my background I used the Simon Says Stamp Waves Stencil along with my Stencil Brush and some Lake Shores Ink. The corners are rounded with my Corner Chomper and the panel is adhered to a Black panel that is then adhered to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I die cut the Echo Park Picture Wheel Die from more Black and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The feathers, leaves and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Oh Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the feathers in Teeny Bikini, the leaves in Jellybean and the greeting in Scuba. I used the Coordinating Happy Day Dies to cut them out. The leaves and feathers are adhered to each other, a piece of Hemptique Black Natural Hemp Twine is tied into a bow around the bottom and they are adhered to the picture wheel with E-Z Runner. For the greeting I used some more 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Recollections Enamel Dots complete the card! I still have a soft spot for some feathers and I love that picture wheel! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thanks so much for visiting today! Have an amazing Thursday! πŸ™‚

It turned out to be another nice day, I’m sure that our luck will run out soon enough! I did get some crafting done, sent out a few packages and got to play with my little buddy Daniel. He rode his big wheel back and forth between my Parent’s house and mine, thinks he’s such a big boy! When he gets here he opens the door and walks right in! We all had dinner together and then I headed over to Heather’s for an early Thirsty Thursday with her and Steph. A nice day was had by me! πŸ˜€

The Paper Players have a fun challenge this week and so I’m sharing my card for it with you today…

I have had the Concord & 9th Butterfly Card Dies and I don’t think that I have used to make the interlocking card until now! I used Neenah Desert Storm 80lb Card Stock and die cut the card parts and then the wings. I scored and folded my card, whichΒ is a note card size and used the card dies to cut out some Pool Party to adhere behind the wings. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Butterfly Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto another strip of Desert Storm and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I happened to have some Note Card size Kraft Envelopes so I stamped the small butterflies from the set in Soft Pool onto the front. Love that interlocking butterfly, such a fun and different kind of card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you very much for visiting with me! Have a terrific Thursday! πŸ™‚
