Paper Players 363

Another Wednesday under our belts! I had a semi-productive day. Got a few things done in the morning and then did some laundry. It was another warm day, we had a little rain in the evening for a few minutes but all in all a good day! I stopped by my friend’s house and dropped off their newly formatted MacBook and helped them finish setting it up. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing and watching a little TV. I did watch the new episode of This is Us yesterday morning, man is that a good show! Today I’m off to spend some time with Sue! πŸ˜€

I got me a new Hero Set yesterday and decided to use it to make my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I began by stamping the images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pale Tomato, Raspberry Jam, Red Royal and Black. The closed ones are stamped in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and then stamped the stems in Forever Green onto piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My card base is the same and has a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Paper Pad adhered as the background. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner holds the panel with the flowers to the card. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black, I flagged the ends and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love the poppies and the unexpected vintage paper for the background! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! πŸ™‚

Another speedy weekend but it was a beautiful Summer like one here. It’s good that we had the nice weather because we are supposed to get a lot of rain this week which will put a damper on my kitchen plans, bummer. I had a nice relaxing day yesterday. I cleaned a little and did some laundry. There was a lot of TV time too. I’ll have to find some inside projects for today! πŸ˜€

I had sat down last night to make my card before I checked to see what this week’s Paper Players challenge was and as luck would have it, it works…

I’m loving the Hero Arts Autumn Icon Fancy Dies that were an add-ons to this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit. I used them to cut out someΒ So Saffron, Pear Pizzaz, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. For the acorn I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to a piece of Crumb Cake and then cut around it with my scissors. To adhere them to the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I used Ultra Thin Glue Dots. All that was left to do was stamp my greeting from the Hero Arts Ribbon Greetings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Cup O Joe. I used basically the same goodies to make yesterday’s card. Love how you can get such a completely different look with the same products! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off here on the blog with me! Have the best Monday that you can! πŸ™‚

Another week starting off with Monday! LOL! I like it better when they start with Tuesday! The weekend was pretty good. Yesterday I went over to Jim’s and we worked on some more projects and got them done. Taylor stopped by when I got home and we ran to Target to get a few essentials. I have to go to the DMV this morning to renew my license, I forgot that it expires tomorrow! Oops! That should be fun, possibly not! πŸ˜€

To start off the week I have a card for the Paper Players challenge…

I decided that I would keep it super simple and use some of my favorite dies from Ellen Hutson! Those dies are the Bold Blooms and I cut them out of Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzaz. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To keep the greeting nice and simple I cut out the Ellen Hutson Brushstroke Love Die from a piece of Silver Glitter Card and I adhered that with little bits of 3M Foam Tape. Every card is better with a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and today’s are Silver! Nice and simple! Aren’t those dies great?! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

Well, I had a wonderful time in PA! I needed to get away from everything for a bit and that is one of the best places to do just that! It’s so peaceful and relaxing at Jim’s house up there. We spent some time antiquing, the afternoons by the lake and the evenings around the fire. I got to meet most of his family and they were great! I had so much fun! The ride home yesterday morning was actually pretty good despite the rain all the way. Traffic was light so I guess I’ll take the rain. I stopped by Jim’s for a little bit after I got home and then came back and had dinner with my Parent’s. The rest of my evening was spent doing a little more organizing with a little TV thrown in for good measure! I hope that you all had a great weekend too! I missed you all for the past two days! πŸ˜€

To start off this week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

The card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background and piece of notebook paper are from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Paper Pad. I used the Simon Says Stamp Notebook Edges Die to cut the left side and adhered it on top of the map at an angle. The flowers are from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Pale Blush Pink and Green Apple onto Desert Storm 80lb. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them in the upper right. For the greeting I stamped the letters from the Simon Says Stamp Game Tiles Letters Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black onto die cut pieces of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood Paper Pad and adhered them to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love the Scrabble Tiles and the map paper, makes for a fun card don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

It’s the last Monday in August?! Where did that month go?! I’m not looking forward to the Summer ending and Fall beginning at all! We’ll have to make the best of what’s left! I managed to get a lot more purging accomplished yesterday. I have come to the realization that I’m really good at playing Tetris in real life! LOL! I have stuff crammed in a ll sorts of places! Three more bags of trash and another bag of shredding are gone. I’ll continue this morning and then do a little cleaning later on. Another productive day is ahead peeps! πŸ˜€

I did pause to make a card yesterday and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I stared my card by creating a stamped background on a piece of Solar White 80lb with the stamps from the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the cupcake outlines in Black Licorice and then filled them in with Fresh Lavender and Ballet Slippers with a little Plastic Flamingo for the sprinkles. An extra one is stamped separately and cut out with the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies. I used the largest circle from the Simon Says Stamp Nested Circles Dies to trim the stamped panel and adhered it to piece of Guava with some random sprinkles stamped in Plastic Flamingo. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is stamped in Black Licorice onto a circle of Solar White 80lb and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares along with the single cupcake. A few Pretty Pink Posh Orchid and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card. A fun little twist on a birthday card, don’t you think?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off here on the blog with me! Have a highly productive and fun Monday! πŸ™‚

Monday already huh?! Another weekend zipped by! I did end up going to the beach with Heather in the morning yesterday, we stayed for a few hours and then ran a some errands. She made me a turkey burger for dinner and then her and George had to go to a wake so I headed back to my house. Later on Taylor came by and we watched TV for a bit. This morning I have a bunch of things to get finished on the computer and it’s supposed to rain so it will be the perfect day for it! πŸ˜€

I made a quick card late last night and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To begin my card I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp onto a piece of Smoky Slate with Doe Ink and used my Scissors to cut it out. For the greeting I heat embossed one from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb adhered to the front. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered the tree ring to the card. The little tree rings are from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped randomly in Yeti Ink onto the background. To finished the card I added Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins! As you can see from the picture that Tree Ring is a very well loved stamp! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 355

As predicted most of yesterday was quiet. I read a little in the morning and then around 3:00 I headed over to Brian & Kim’s to celebrate Kim’s brother Kevin’s birthday! Heather and George were there so I spent most of my time with them. We had fun and it was good to see everyone! Taylor came by and spent the rest of the night with me, we watched a little TV. This morning I’m going to get some cleaning done! Ahh… Mondays! πŸ˜€

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I went diagonal from top left to bottom right. My card started by me using the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill0In Stencils and some Sunflower and Lobster Ink to color the Concord & 9th Aloha Fill-In Patterned Paper. I trimmed it to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 Β and then used the Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles to cut out a piece from the left side. It’s adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Then I placed it in my Mini MISTI and stamped the greeting from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sunflower inside the negative space of the circle. A few Teresa Collins Red Enamel Dots complete the card! I love the Fill-In Papers and how you can make them any color that you want! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Thank you for starting another one of your weeks off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚

Another weekend whizzed by as they always do. I spent a little more time organizing the Stampin’ Galley again yesterday. It has become very apparent that it’s going to take a long time to get it done, I have wayyyyyy too much stuff! It didn’t rain again so I sat outside for a while, it was cooler so it was very nice. Today, more crafty purging, can’t wait to get it finished! πŸ˜€

I made a fun little card yesterday for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I love when I can get a lot of use out of a stamp set and the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Set is a great one, so many different options! To start the card I used a few of the images from the set to stamp a watermelon background on a piece of Solar White 80lb using Lobster, Noble Fir and Black Licorice Ink. Next I trimmed a piece of 65lb Vellum to the same size as the stamped panel and lined up one of the Orange You Sweet Dies over the watermelon on the right and used the die to cut it out from only the Vellum. Then I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left of the Vellum. It’s placed back over the stamped piece so I could decided where I wanted my Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Marshmallow Sequins. They are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium, after they dried I added dots of Multi-Matte Medium behind the sequins and adhered it to the stamped panel. A piece of Noble Fir is adhered to the back of that and then the whole thing is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I do love the way the vellum softens the rest of the background and the cutout gives that one a nice pop! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Player sketch challenge! Thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 352 & Freshly Made Sketches 296

Well, I did get some of the stuff done that I wanted to finish yesterday. I also had to take a ride over to Heather’s job to drop something off to her. When I got back home I went next door to do some laundry and locked myself out of the house! Don’t know how that happened! Around 5:30 I headed over to Heather’s, she made me dinner and we ran some errands. A good way to end the evening! This morning more stuff that needs to get done will get done! πŸ˜€

I have a double challenge card for you today! That almost never happens but I wanted to get my Paper Players card in before it was too late and I had an idea for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge so I combined them! Here are the two challenges…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the My Favorite Things Romantic Script Background in Smoke Ink onto another piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The bird is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bird and Branch Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped him in Thistle, Hot Mama and Grape Juice, his feet in Khaki, and then used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out. His feet are adhered with E-Z Runner and the body with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. It’s adhered in the lower right corner and the card is done! I love that scripty background and the fun bird! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players and Freshly Made Sketches Challenges! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! πŸ™‚

It was a nice day here yesterday, in the high 80’s with lots of sun. I decided that it was important for me to be outside and enjoy it so I didn’t get as much done as I had wanted to but I still did manage to accomplish some things. I crafted for a bit and got a few things done on the computer. This morning I’m off to Manhattan again for the better part of the day. A nice way to start off my week! πŸ˜€

Monday and I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you…

I began by stamping the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with some Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. My two hearts are die cut from Merman and Bluejay Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Dies. On the Merman one I used the Concord & 9th All About You Dies to cut out the word YOU. The celebrate is cut from another piece of Bluejay and adhered to the heart with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I adhered the Bluejay heart to the card front with E-Z Runner and then used 3M Foam Tape to adhered to the Merman one adding the YOU back into the center. A few Pretty Pink Posh Cobalt Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice simple layout and I love the die cut YOU from the heart! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks so much for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚
