SIP Challenge 14 – A Sketch

A very good Tuesday to you! It’s my last day in England and it’s a little rainy today. I have a few last minute bits and pieces to pick up but I think that I can do that locally. Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting my FaceBook friend Lesley! We went to the Crypt for a Latte and some cake and had a lovely time chatting. So much so we got a pot of tea and finished that too! I love when I get to meet people in person and Lesley is just lovely! After that Brian and I went to Leister Square and picked up some souvenirs and then stopped by my Uncle’s before having some wood fire pizza for dinner. On to the station after that to make our way back home. A very nice day indeed! Here are some photos from yesterday!

If it’s Tuesday then it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and this time it’s a sketch from me…

I had fun playing with a new stamp set and did some watercoloring too! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the front is covered with a piece of paper from the My Minds Eye Necessities Wood Paper Pad. The panel on the left is a piece of Smoky Slate that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woven 3D Embossing Folder and backed with a piece of Night of Navy and adhered to the card with SNAIL. The main panel is a piece of Night of Navy backed with some Solar White 80lb. My greeting and flowers are from the Clearly Besotted Fairytale Ending Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I did the same with the flowers but on Canson Watercolor Paper and then cut them out with the matching dies. The flowers are colored in Zig Clean Color Brush Pens and a Water Brush. I adhered the flowers to the panel with some SNAIL and then the panel to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card. I love those flowers, especially watercolored. I hope that enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch challenge. Please take a minute to stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day! 🙂

SIP Challenge 13 – Theme!

Hi there! I hope that your week is off to a good start! We spent some more time wandering around London yesterday. Brian had the idea that we should go to the Science Museum and that was a lot of fun. I haven’t been to a museum in forever. We had a late lunch at a pizza shop that had wood fired sourdough crust pizza and it was delicious! More like Italian pizza than American. On the way home we stopped by my Uncle Bruce’s and I set up his new laptop for him. The other day we went to Hyde Park and Paddington Station. Here are a few pictures from that!

Hyde Park Serpentine

The entrance that I always use to get into Hyde Park is Lancaster Gate and when you walk in this is what you see.

Peter Pan HP

As you walk in a little further you get to the Peter Pan Statue.

Paddington Station Entrance

The entrance from Prade Street to Paddington Station.

Paddington Station Inside

The platform at Paddington.

Paddington at the Station

There is a store inside the station when you can go and get Paddington Bear merchandise and this is the little guy that greets you!

So, it’s Tuesday, time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge and since it’s my birthday this weekend we have a birthday theme for you…

SIP Birthday Theme 13

I used some of my favorite colors to make one of my favorite kinds of cards! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Balloons Craft Dies to cut out the negative from a piece of Solar White 80lb Card Stock and also a piece of Fun Foam. To make sure that I got the stamped balloons inside the window I traced the balloon onto the card base. All of the images are from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the balloons in Simon Says Stamp Teal and Mint Ink, the stars are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. Some Window Sheet is adhered to the back of the negative die cut and then the Fun Foam is adhered to the back of that. Before adhering the window to the card I cut out the Simon Says Stamp Happy Birthday Craft Die from a piece of Black Card Stock with some Stick-It on the back. The Stick-It makes the intricate die cut much easier to adhere to the Window Sheet. A generous dose of Martha Stewart Iridescent Hearts and Stars Glitter is added before adhering the window piece. A fun shaker birthday card if I do say so myself! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Birthday Theme Challenge! Head on over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by today, I hope that you are still enjoying the London pics and I wish you all a lovely Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 12 – Colors!

Today’s the day, I’m off to the airport this afternoon to make my way to London! I still have to pack, I know, I should have done that already. Yesterday was kind of a relax and catch up day. I made a bunch of cards and watched some TV. Sandy stopped by for a little bit, we are going to have a dinner date when I get back. I’m going to try and have lunch with Heather today and then Andrew will be by around 3:00 to pick me up. Tomorrow’s post will be later in the day as I will be five hours ahead for the next two weeks. I hope that you will come along to London and Paris with me! I’ll have lots of pictures and cards for you!

Today is Tuesday so it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge! This time around we have a fun color combo for you…

SIP Color Challenge 12

Yes! A black and white and then your choice of any other color! My card today begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp and Black Ink to create my background. My main panel is Solar White 110lb. The stamps are from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used some Simon Says Stamp Mint Ink to stamp the solid balloons with the outlines, strings, bows and greeting stamped in Simon Says Stamp Slate Ink. The panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. To finish the card I adhered a few Hazel & Ruby The Makery Green with Envy and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins with Ranger Multi-Medium Matte to the panel. I love the bold black stripes with the deconstructed look of the balloons! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and take a look at what the rest of the Design Team has come up with and enter your creation in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! SIP Challenge 11 – Tic-Tac-Toe

Only three more days of work to go! I can do this! LOL! You know when you have so much happening at one time you just want to slow everything down, that’s where I am right now. I’m looking forward to my trip but not looking forward to seeing my friend leave. The emotions of both are pulling in different directions! I would like to put this Summer on repeat for a while, do you know what I mean? But nothing in life is constant except for change, right? Anyway enough about that! Little Daniel was at my parent’s when I got home and we played with his trucks for a bit before dinner. After, I came home and made a few cards and then just pondered life for a bit. You need to do that every once in a while!

It’s Tuesday and that means that we are ready for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Any Tic Tac Toe 11

This Tic-Tac-Toe board is a collaboration of Michael and I. Eventually we will get him to participate in the actual challenge! I went across the middle, Twine, Die Cut and Sequins. I have been enjoying the neutrals with the nice pops of color lately so I went that route again! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Smoke Ink on some Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. My frame and bubble for the sentiment are from the Mama Elephant Polaroid Fun Creative Cuts. The frame is cut from more Solar White 80lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape, I tied some Hemptique Black Hemp Twine around the frame before adhering it. For the flower I used my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Simon Says Stamp Hot Mama and Lucky Ink to color another piece of Solar White 80lb. The die is from Elizabeth Crafts and is called Lotus Flower. It cuts the backing and the open flower, they are adhered sparingly together with 2-Way Glue and then to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Stephanie Ackerman Tags & Words Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on Basic Black and also adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Lime Sorbet and Purple Michaels Sequins add some sparkle and complete the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Now go on over to the SIP Challenge Blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards! SIP Challenge 10 – Inspiration

Hi there! I see that we all made it through Monday! Mine was a little rough, I ended up leaving work at 12:00, my stomach was bothering me so I came home and laid down for a bit. I didn’t eat anything and finally felt better around 4:00. I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to meet up with Michael. When the store closed at 7:00 we headed over to the Walt Whitman Mall to meet up with Andrew and his girlfriend Kayleigh for dinner at Zinburger. It was great to finally meet Kayleigh and we had a fun time, the food was pretty good too. After that I came home and watched a little TV before calling it a night. Again, I don’t think that I will be having China Fun anytime again soon!

If it’s Tuesday then that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have an inspiration photo from Lisa…

SIP Inspiration 10 400

I used the colors as inspiration for my card. That base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of Lost Lagoon. I used the Simon Says Stamp Postage Stamp Edge Frames Dies to cut out a piece of Crumb Cake and then cut out the You with the Simon Says Stamp Big You Craft Die. My Hello is from the Simon Says Stamp Flip Flop Season Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and colored in with my Prismacolor Pencils. Some Foam Tape and Fun Foam with SNAIL adhere the panel to the card. A few Pretty Pink Posh Summer Mix Sequins are scattered across the card and finish it off nicely! I love the negative of the You cut out of the background and popped up! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Inspiration challenge! SIP Challenge 9 – A Sketch!

Monday, glad that you are done! It wasn’t too bad of a day at work so no complaints. I came home, ate dinner and then retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to work on some projects! I needed to get a few cards made and I still have a few more to go before I get all caught up! I really do love to end the day with a little creativity! Now if I could just find a way to get to be creative all day! Any suggestions?! LOL! I have some more pictures to share with you today from my adventures with Michael over the weekend!

Michael has a great eye for street art! How cool is that?!

I’ll have some more pictures for you tomorrow! Now lets get to today’s post which is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This time we have a sketch for you…

SIP Sketch Challenge 9

I had fun putting together my card and I think that you could use it for a couple of different occasions! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a circle from a piece of Smoky Slate with the Sizzix Circles Framelits and then embossed it with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. It’s adhered to a piece of Basic Black with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The images are from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used Simon Says Stamp Duckling Ink for the flowers and Catkin for the leaves. They are die cut using the matching 2 Flowers and 2 Leaves Craft Dies and adhered in the negative circle with Glue Dots and Foam Tape. My greeting is a piece of Basic Black that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Congratulations Wafer Thin Die and it’s adhered to the card with Ranger Multi-Matte Medium. A little Stardust Stickles is added to the centers of the flower and completes the card! I think that this would make a fun Wedding card but also be great just for any time you need a congratulations card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s card! SIP Challenge 8 – Designer’s Choice!

I’m not even going to go into detail about my Monday. It was a typical Monday though, so you can imagine! LOL! When I got home last night I made a few cards and then headed over to Sandy’s house for Card Class. It’s been a while since we have done one of those and it was great to see everyone again! Michael and Sue joined in the fun too! After that I came home and finished up a few things before calling it a night. How was your Monday?

So, today is Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We are giving you free reign again with another Designer’s Choice…

SIP Any Challenge 8

It so nice to just get to sit down and make a card without any rules isn’t it?! My card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the flower form the You’ve Got This Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on a piece of Crumb Cake. The image is colored in with some Prismacolor Colored Pencils, just a few shades of yellow and green. I tied a piece of Papertrey Ink Rustic Jute Button Twine around the panel and then adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed again in Hero Arts White on a piece of Hello Honey and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Summer Mix and Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered around the flower and complete the card. I love the way colored pencils look on Crumb Cake, it really makes the image pop! SIP Challenge 7 – Colors & Still More Manhattan!

Monday, why must you be so… Monday?! Yesterday was a little bit of a let down after the weekend that I had! LOL! Work was more irritating than usual, there are two new people moving into my office and I have seen a side of one them that I never knew existed and to be honest am sad that I have. After the torture I came home and had some dinner and puttered around in the Stampin’ Galley playing with some new goodies that I got. I also Skyped with Andrea for a little bit and even snuck in some TV. And yes, I have still more pictures form Manhattan. These are from the walk that Michael and I took along the river. There were some amazing sunsets over the weekend!

I really did love my weekend! They should all be just like that, I would be the happiest person in the universe!

What better way to start off a Tuesday than with a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge?! This week we have a color challenge from Michael…

SIP Color Challenge 7

A nice summery palette, wouldn’t you agree?! I know that you will be surprised but I got another nautical set in the mail! LOL! The base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Soft Sky to serve as the background for my little scene. The waves are cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves Dies from Pacific Point. I flipped the negative of the cut out and adhered it on top of the other one with Foam Tape, I thought it looked neat! The extra large sun is cut out of Daffodil Delight with the Simon Says Stamp A2 Card Curved Edge Die and it’s adhered with Foam Tape. My sailboat and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set. The boat is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics, I brushed some Zig Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen on the sails and the greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on a piece of Pacific Point that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Sketchy Banners Dies. A few Pretty Pink Posh Summer Mix Sequins give the card a little sparkle! I really am stuck on the nautical theme lately but I just love the sailboats and waves! SIP Challenge 6 – Tic-Tac-Toe

And another Monday is done! I’ll skip over work today, just because it’s better that way! After work I headed over to Scrap-A-Latte. Michael was there preparing for his baby book class. There was a ton of cutting to do so I helped by doing some of the die cutting. We were there until 8:00 and he still has some left to do! Wait until you see the book though, it’s awesome! We went out and had SmashBurger for dinner, so yummy! After that I came back to the house and made my card for today. Another really good day!

It’s time once again for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe board from Sandy…

SM Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge 6

I choose to go across the middle and threw in the left corner too! My card today begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My panel is a piece of Basic Black that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles Dies. The sides are masked off with some Post-It Tape and I then heat embossed it with the Hardwood Background Stamp in White Stampin’ Emboss Powder. It’s adhered to the card with Fast Fuse. For the greeting I cut out the thanks from the Greetings Thinlits from a piece of Island Indigo. I adhered the negative to the card with some Foam Tape. My butterfly is a piece of Vellum cut out with the Bold Butterfly Framelits and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Glue. Some Black Perfect Pearls is used for the body and the wings are fluffed up a little. Finally, a few Enamel Dots from Michaels are adhered around the greeting. I made my own embossed patterned paper with the Hardwood Stamp and I love the way that the white looks on the black! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from Sandy! Head on over to the blog and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards and don’t forget to make one of your own and enter in the gallery! SIP Challenge 5 – Theme

I am definitely not a Monday fan! I guess that it gets a bad rap because it follows the gloriousness that is the weekend! LOL! My theory on work this week is proving to be correct, bummer! Oh well, onward and upward right?! After dinner last night Taylor and I ran up to Michaels, she needed to pick up a few things and I needed a frame. When I got back to the house I spoke to Danielle and then FaceTimed with Andrea for a bit. After that I sat down to type my post. Sometimes when I do that I listen to music and last night I dug up an oldie but goodie! Alanis Morissette’s Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. It was one of my favorite albums when it came out and I used to listen to it on the train on the way home from work almost everyday. I was happy that I remembered the words!

Now on to today’s post for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP Any Theme 5

Christmas in July! It’s never too early to think about making some Holiday cards! Maybe this will encourage me to actually get started early! The base for the card is Neenah Solar White 100b Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Cherry Cobbler with the Simon Says Stamp Full Card Triangles Die and adhered it to the base with 2-Way Glue. My tag is cut out with the Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3 Die from a piece of Garden Green and Mint Macaroon. I ran the Garden Green piece though the Big Shot again to cut out the tree with the Simon Says Stamp Banded Tree Craft Die. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Be Joyful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The tags are then adhered together with some SNAIL, I threaded some Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings Twine though the hole that I punched out. A few strips of Foam Tape adhere it to the card. Not too complicated and I love the Mint Macaroon with the Garden Green, oh and the triangle background that echoes the tree shape! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Now head on over to the blog and check out the other Design Team members cards. Don’t forget to enter one of your creations in the gallery! Thanks for checking in with me and have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂
