SIP Challenge 109 – A Sketch!

SIP Challenge 109 – A Sketch!

It was a rainy Monday morning here but it did stop right at 1:00PM just like they said it would! That never happens! LOL! I got all caught up on my comments and went through more of the Stampin’ Galley overabundance in the morning and then went over to see Daniel at my Parent’s house. He is still just the cutest little boy! After dinner we watched PJ Masks together and then I came home and spent a little time with Taylor. Jim stopped by a little later and we watched TV and planned out next DIY project. Can’t wait to get started on that! I’ll be sure an post pictures when we are done! I think that Andrew is going to come by for a while today, will be good to see him! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Today’s card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Flower Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with Pool Party Card Stock and Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder to create a panel. It’s backed with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies and is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card. To adhere it to the card I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins fill in some of the space on the embossed panel and the card is done! I think that this would make a nice elegant wedding card, especially with the Tiffany colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 107 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

SIP Challenge 107 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

So, I didn’t turn on the TV in the morning and managed to get a bunch of things done that I needed to finish! I also ran a few errands and then watched a little TV last night. It was nice and sunny so I got in some outside time too! Taylor stopped by for a few minutes just to say hi. Today I’m off to Sue’s to work on some Etsy stuff! Another productive day is ahead! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used the Stampin’ Up! Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and a piece of Smoky Slate. Next up is another piece of Solar White 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut. I stamped the greeting from the W Plus 9 Fanciful Feathers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Navy along the bottom of the frame. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My feathers are also from the Fanciful Feathers Set. I heat embossed them onto die cut Cobalt Vellum in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. A Wooden Button with some Grey Twine tied into a bow is adhered over the Feather and helps hold them to the frame. To give the card some more interest and a little sparkle I added some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold and Pewter Sequins and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars! I love the feathers in the copper on the cobalt vellum and I’m glad that I remembered that I had that Stampin’ Up! Embossing Folder! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see your take on the challenge! Another stellar day here weather wise! Top down in the Saab to and from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I had a ton of stuff to get done and with a little help from my friends Sue and Brian it all did get finished! I had a Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and Notions order to check in, price and put out. I also had to cut for class. I never realize just how complicated the class cards are until I go to cut! Brian helped with the mountains and Sue and I did the rest! When I arrived home I had some dinner and finished up my laundry, ran out to get gas and then did a late night run to Target. I think I also snuck a little 20 minute nap in there! Today I need to rearrange some things in the store and finish up prep for class, just a few small things left to do. I also have another Hero order coming today, hopefully! Fingers crossed! I really hope to get to have some time to play with the new goodies that came in!

My card that I sat down and made last night is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #299

I had no Dapper Denim so I went with Night of Navy! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Stack. It’s adhered to a piece of Night of Navy and then adhered to the card. The little die cuts are from the June My Monthly Hero Kit and are cut from more Night of Navy. I scattered them about the card and adhered them with Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Stamp Set that came with the kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Real Red. I flagged the left side and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. I’m a sucker for a map background and those die cuts go so perfectly with it! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you for your time today! I wish you all a lovely Thursday! 🙂

Yes, we had another nice day here! Top down in the car on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I was very productive at work and even got my card made for today which was a good thing! Heather surprised me and stopped by the store with Starbucks and she stayed and did some school work. We had Blaze Pizza for lunch. She text me after she left to say that a rock had hit her windshield. That was an understatement! It almost went through the windshield. She had the car towed back to her house. Around 6:30 she called and told me that her dad was taken to the hospital so I left the store and took her over to see him. We stayed until around 8:00 and then I dropped her off at her house. She is leaving this morning for New Orleans with George for a little get away and I think that she needs it bad! Hopefully she has a good flight and a relaxing time while she’s away! Today I’ll make the final preparations for my Stamping 101 class and get some more samples made!

Midweek and the means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

PCCCS198 DT Colors 6-08-2016

Toady’s card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used all Waffle Flower goodies for the card! The funky background is a piece of Mint Macaroon cut out with the Waffle Flower Tribal Pattern Die. My flowers are cut from So Saffron for the mats and Calypso Coral for the flowers using the Waffle Flower Lacy Flowers and Lacy Flower Mats Dies. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the background to the card and the flower pieces together. The large flower is adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the others with Dot Runner Adhesive. I used the Waffle Flower Tiny Butterfly Die to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. My sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. Renee had some Dew Drops so I adhered a few yellow ones in the middles of the flowers and the card is finished! I really do love the intricate and unusual dies that Waffle Flower has, makes for a nice change! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Fab Friday 88

Fab Friday 88

Hi all and a happy Friday to you!! Another amazing day weather wise here yesterday! Another top down to and from work day! The store was quiet yesterday but Renee and I got a lot accomplished. I started my cards for next month’s class and Renee got organized! Taylor and Kiera stopped by, she brought my Copics up because I forgot them at home and they stayed until the store closed. I had dinner at my parent’s and got to see my brother and Daniel! He has such a great laugh! You can’t help but smile when you hear him start giggling! After dinner I came home and made my card for today and then ran out to Target to pick up a few things. Thankfully there are open until midnight! I also got to chat with Heather, she is back at school so there will be no thirsty Thursday’s for a while, bummer! She’s going to try and come by the store for lunch tomorrow, that will be fun!

Well, it’s a Fab Friday this week so I’m over on the blog for our color challenge…

Fab Fri 88 5-27-2016

I needed to make a quick card, going forward I’m going to make an attempt to work on Design Team stuff ahead but it’s taking a while to get acclimated! I had the base of this card sitting on my desk for about three months so I decided that it was high time I finished it! Speaking of the base it’s Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Scallop Border Die to cut the bottom of a piece of Solar White 80lb that I inked with Simon Says Stamp High Dive using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The thanks is cut from Black 110lb and inlaid back into the die with Multi-Matte Medium. My tree branches are cut from Chocolate Chip with the Memory Box Branching Out Die. I adhered them onto the card with more Multi-Matte Medium. The flowers are punched out from Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey using an old EK Tools Mini Flower Punch and I adhered them to the branches with Mini Glue Dots. Finally I added Pearls to the middles of all of the flowers with Bling Glue Dots and the card is finished! Nice and simple and I love when I get to find a use for something that has been siting on my desk for a while! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Go and check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a fun-tabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 196

Paper Craft Crew 196

Another fun day at Stamp, Ink, Paper! Renee got a new line of paper in that moved like hotcakes! My second half of my Lawn Fawn order arrived, I entered it in the system, priced it and put it out. I got in touch with the customers that wanted it and they came in throughout the day to pick it up. Renee and I bounce ideas off of each other all day and she called me after she left with a really good one!! Can’t wait to share it with you! When I got home I had dinner, mum made chili! One of my favorites! My friend Sue stopped by and we chatted for a while and I subjected her to my latest YouTube obsessions! After she left I sat down and made my card, it was going to be a quick card… ummm… not really! Does that happen to you? You set out to make a simple card and end up using half of the supplies that you have?! LOL!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS196 DT Sketch 5-25-2016

When I saw the sketch I remembered that I had a butterfly die that I had picked up a while ago on one of my trips with Sue and Michael to a craft show. About time I used it! The card base today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I splattered some Heidi Swapp Tinsel Color Shine on the front and worked on the rest of the card while that dried. A piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, again! LOL!) is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is a two piece die from Paper Artist. I cut the back out from a piece of 36lb Vellum and the top from a piece of Basic Gray. A tiny piece of Scor-Tape holds the two together and also adhered it to the Mirror Card. Another piece of Mirror Card is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Loopy Circles Craft Die and adhered to the butterfly with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners to cut it out and used a piece of Kool-Tac Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. Yes, I’m obsessed with that Mirror Card, but you have to admit it does look pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and tale a peek at the rest of the Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking a little time out of your day to visit with me! Have a happy Wednesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 449

Mojo Monday 449

How was everyone’s weekend? Mine was pretty good except for the water issue in the bathroom yesterday morning! I walked in the carpet was wet along with the bottom of the shower curtain?! I called my neighbor upstairs and he came down and assessed the scene. He decided he knew what it was and got parts and fixed it. I had to shower at my parent’s so I won’t know if he was successful until I get in there today! Hopefully he was! At the store I worked on getting things organized and making some loyalty cards and other design related things. Angie worked on an Art Journaling page that is just awesome and Renee worked on her layouts for classes. Love all of the creativity! I forgot to bring crafty stuff with me so I spent a little time making my card when I got home. It’s hard to know what to bring with you when you leave in the morning! Especially when you are thrown off by a bathroom fiasco! LOL! Today I’ll be getting the rest of the Lawn Fawn order and hopefully some other stuff that I ordered! I’m really having a lot of fun, can you tell?!

Now on to the business at hand! Today’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge

Mojo449

I have had the stamp set that I used on today’s card for a L O N G time! It’s ’bout time that I inked it up! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Pink Pirouette and adhered that to the front of the card. My patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Flea Market 6×6 Paper Pad and is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. The strip down the right side is a piece of Midnight Muse on top of a piece of Gold Mirror Card. The square and strip are both adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. My greeting and retro phone are both from the Hero Arts Just Saying Hi Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them both in Onyx Black and heat embossed the phone with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. The phone is cut out with Scissors and a craft knife, I need a little more practice with the knife, and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. When I saw that piece of patterned paper it reminded me of wallpaper from the 50’s so I thought that it went well with the phone! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off here with me! I wish you all a magnificent Monday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 48 – Colors!

SIP Challenge 48 – Colors!

I trust that you all had a nice Monday! It was a little chilly here during the day but sunny and warmed up a little in the evening. I had a nice simple day. I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and crafted for a bit. In the afternoon I ran a few errands and then came back home and binge watched some YouTube on the Apple TV. Mum made tacos for dinner and they were delicious! To end my evening I chatted with Michael for a bit, watched some more YouTube and relaxed. Today I have a bunch of things to do to get ready for my upcoming project finish! I’ll be able to tell you all about it on Thursday! Finally! To say that I’m excited doesn’t begin to cover it! 🙂

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have some colors from Sandy…

SIP Color Challenge 48 800

Whenever I have the urge to use some Lawn Fawn it seems to last for a few days! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink to it. For the frame I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames to cut out three pieces of Calypso Coral, they are adhered to each other and the card with Multi-Matte Medium. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Baked with Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. Everything except the greeting is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with my Copics. They are then die cut using the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive and Foam Tape. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White onto another piece of Calypso Coral and then cut out using the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners Lawn Cuts. I adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape and the card is finished! You already know how fond I am of Lawn Fawn, I just really love their images and most of them work with most of their other sets! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s fabulous cards! Enter your one in the gallery to share your take with everyone else! Thank you for visiting today! Have an interestingly fantastic Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 294

Paper Players 294

Happy weekend peeps! It was overcast here and rained for the afternoon yesterday. We just get a taste of Spring! In the morning I FaceTimed with Andrea for a bit before I ran over and got Heather and dropped her off so that she could pick up her car. When I got back to the house I crafted for a while and then went over to see Daniel at my Parent’s. Erika brought home pizza and rigatoni alla vodka for dinner for all of us. After dinner was over I came back home, made another card and then watched Transformers – Age of Extinction. I thought I had seen it but I hadn’t and it was good! I like techie movies with robots and lots of explosions! LOL! This morning I’m going to meet Sue at Scrap-A-Latte for the garage sale that they are having there. That should be fun!

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Player’s challenge to share with you, unfortunately not in time to be added…

Paper Players #294

I used some new Altenew Stamps that I got the other day! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Broken China Distress Ink to make my subtle “sky” background. The flowers and branch are from the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in So Saffron and Wisteria Wonder for the flowers using my Mini MISTI and the branch is stamped in Soft Suede. A little dot of Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink is stamped in the middles and they are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The branch is adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the flowers with Foam Tape. My hello is form the Altenew Halftone Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Pink Pirouette. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out and a piece of Pear Pizzaz. The stamped hello is adhered to the Pear Pizzaz one, slightly offset, with Multi-Matte Medium and the same attaches it to the card. I love the simplistic look of the card and the way the Wisteria Wonder took on a brownish tinge when stamped over the So Saffron is pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! I completely forgot that it ends on Friday night but I had it made so I wanted to share it anyway! Thank you so much for coming by! I wish you all a fun Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 87

Fab Friday 87

Oh yes my friends it’s Friday! We had another spectacular day here on Long Island yesterday and I had a bunch of errands to run so the top was down in my car all day! I enjoyed every minute of it! I FaceTimed with Andrea in the morning and then went and met Bill for lunch. After that I stopped back at my parents and saw Daniel for bit before grabbing a few things from my house and heading over to Sue’s. I have to say that she is just an amazing friend and I’m so happy to have her in my life. She helps me out with so much stuff and I’m grateful for all that she does for me! After my little visit it was back home, Sandy stopped by for a bit and then I headed back over to my Parent’s for dinner. Heather came by around 6:30 and picked me up so that we could run to BJ’s and then we stopped back at my house so that I could follow her, she had drop off her car for an oil change. From there it was over to her house for Thirsty Thursday! Taylor and Kiera stopped by for a bit and Stephanie was there! Phew, another busy but great day! Today… I’m not sure what I have to do but I’m sure that it’s a lot! LOL!

It’s a doubly good Friday because it’s time for another Fab Friday Challenge! This time around we have a sketch…

Fab Fri 87 5-13-2016

We all know that I love me some woodgrain and this card is just filled with it! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the birch trees in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb using the Concord & 9th Tree Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set and adhered it to my card base for the background. My flagged strip is a piece of Black 110lb. On top of that is a piece of Bronze Card Stock that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Woodgrain Embossing Folder. Next, I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Photopolymer Stamp in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto a piece of Sahara Sand. It’s cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Finally I stamped my heart and greeting, also from the Tree Hugs Set, in Memento Tuxedo Black and cut that out with my Scissors too. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner also adhere that to the card. I decided to keep it nice and clean no sequins, just incase I needed a “man” card! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards on the BLOG and enter your one in the gallery! Thank you for having some Friday fun with me! Have a fantastic day! 🙂
