Paper Craft Crew 191

No matter how long the day is as long as it’s in Manhattan it’s a good day! The Ink Pad was great as always! Anna and I had a nice productive day, we got lots of stuff entered and put away. I stayed late because there was a class, Handlettering taught a very talented young lady named Caitlyn. She has an Etsy shop if you want to take a look at some of her work you can find it HERE. Kim came by the store and we had Noodles for dinner, she is off to Missouri this morning, I’ll really miss her this week seeing as I’m going to be in the city a lot! By the time I got home it was 10:45. Taylor was there with Kiera keeping Winston company. I sat down and made a card and relaxed a for bit. Ready to do it all over again tomorrow! 🙂

So it’s Wednesday right?! LOL! That means that it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

PCCCS191 DT Sketch 4-20-2016

I have really been enjoying the look of White Pigment Ink on Kraft Card Stock especially with another ink color stamped over it! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Mossy Meadow onto the base for my background. The circle is a piece of Blackberry Bliss that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies. My greeting is stamped onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies. The greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Grape Juice Ink using the A Bit of Kindness Wood Mount Stamp. My flower and leaves are stamped in Hero Arts Unicorn Pigment Ink and they are from the Hero Arts For you Flowers Color Layering Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the second layer of the leaves in Forever Green Ink and the second layer of the flower in Grape Juice. The flower is cut out with my Scissors and both the flower and greeting are adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give the card a little shine. That Hero Arts For you Flowers is definitely becoming one of my favorite Color Layering Sets! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and see what the rest of the Team has come ups with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by and partaking in my busy week! Fab Friday 85

Another busy Thursday spent in front of the computer doing loads of research! Not that I mind it, it’s one of my favorite things to do besides crafting of course! I did get a lot accomplished and have a lot more to do but I’ll get everything in order eventually! My friend Heather went for a second opinion about her back issues and she may not have to have surgery after all! That was some good news! Daniel was at my parent’s yesterday but the poor little guy has a cold so he wasn’t in the mood for any pictures! I did have dinner with the family and then came home and tried to get some more stuff done. I know that I’m being a little cryptic about what’s going on but I’ll be able to share with you soon! Taylor and Kiera stopped by late last night. I haven’t seen Taylor all week, I said that it was nice to know that she remembered who I was! LOL! Today I have a lot of stuff to get accomplished and I hope that I can finish everything! Wish me luck!

Now for the Fab Friday Challenge! This week we have a nice sketch for you…

Fab Fri 85 4-15-2016

I had the urge to play with some watercolors again and a new Thank You stamp that I recently acquired! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in one of my all time favorite blues, Midnight Muse. Across the top half of the card are a piece of Gold Mirror Card Stock and 80lb Solar White with both ends flagged. The greeting is the Hero Arts Thank You with Flourishes Wood Mount Stamp, it’s heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and onto some Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I taped it to a board with Blue Painter’s Tape and used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to create a wash over the image. It’s dried with my Heat Tool and then trimmed before being adhered it to a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic. Some Fun Foam is adhered to the back of the panel. I adhered a Tea Lace Paper Doily towards the bottom and then adhered my panel to the card. What’s a card without some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones added in for some extra sparkle?! I do really like that nice large Thank You, I can see it making a very nice set of cards for someone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the blog and take a look at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery so we can see what you do! Thanks for taking some time out of your day to visit with me! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 290

Yes, this is the second post for today! I made my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge and I wanted to get to share it before the challenge ended! Here is this week’s challenge…

Paper Players #290

I have to admit, when I first saw these colors I was at a loss! LOL! But then I was digging around in my stash and found a set that I have had for a long time and I don’t think that I have ever used and I got an idea! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my flowers and leaves are form the W Plus 9 Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set. The dies for the set are solid so you cut them first and then stamp the images. The are all stamped in Soft Sky, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Pear Pizzaz and Mossy Meadow. I clustered them around my sentiment banner which is from the W Plus 9 Basic Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set and are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The outline is stamped in Melon Mambo and the greeting in Rich Razzleberry. All of the leaves are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and the flowers and banner with Foam Tape. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Watermelon, Pumpkin and Lime Sorbet Sequins for a little bit of sparkle! I love that Fresh Cut Floras set and can’t believe that I haven’t used it before! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Sorry to bombard you with two posts! Enjoy the rest of your Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 190

Yay for Wednesday! Halfway there people! Yesterday was the usual sort of day. It rained in the morning but stopped by 1:00. I crafted with Andrea over FaceTime and went and had lunch and dinner at my parent’s with Daniel! He is too funny! He was playing with his cars, he loves them! I continued work on my upcoming project and got some more stuff for it too. Last night I ran out and got gas in the car. I have to take Brian to the Dr. this morning so it’s an early day for me! I finally got my taxes done too! Thanks Melissa! You’re the best as always!

Once again it’s time for another Paper Craft Crew challenge and this week we have some colors for you…

PCCCS190 DT Colors 4-13-2016

I love when I can just stamp and get to use all of those fun ink colors that I have! For the base of today’s card I used Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Dimensional Bird Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the birds in Tempting Turquoise, Cucumber Crush and Crushed Curry with the outlines stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI. The flowers are stamped in Watermelon Wonder and the leaves in Cucumber Crush. I laid out my flowers, leaves and bird onto my card and then used Press ‘n Seal to pick them up. More of the flowers and leaves are stamped on the card and the I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Audrey Blue to the upper half of the card. While the flowers, leaves and bird were still on the Press ‘n Seal I added Foam Squares to the back, removed the backing paper and adhered them to the card. The Press n’ Seal is then peeled off making sure that all of my pieces stayed exactly where I wanted them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black across the top and the card is finished! I loved getting to use a Christmas set to make a nice bright fun card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter one of yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Just Because Butterfly

Well, they said that we were going to get snow yesterday but thankfully we didn’t! It was rainy and cold for most of the day. When I got into Manhattan it was still pretty nice so I walked down to The Ink Pad from Penn. It’s nice to get some exercise first thing in the morning! We had a busy day and I got to meet lots of people from all over. Most today were from Mexico, Argentina and Brasil. My friends Kim and Maggie stopped by too! Anna and I got finished up right at 7:00 and I made the 7:12, I was home by 8:10! Dinner last night was a nice big salad with croutons and Buffalo Ranch Dressing! Yum! I even found a Hard Ginger Ale in the fridge! I spent a little time crafting and then watched some TV before calling it a night. Today I’ll be heading back into Manhattan for another day at The Ink Pad, this time with Jane!

Today’s card is one that was stuck in my head all day! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the entire front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. For the background I used one of my all time favorite papers, Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper. The main panel is a piece of Neenah Desert Storm 80lb. I heat embossed the butterfly in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder from the Hero Arts Butterfly Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set and used my Prismacolor Pencils to color it in. It’s cut with the Coordinating Die, which is neat because it leaves the body attached and only cuts out the wings! I stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Onyx Black and then tied a piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Hemp Twine in a bow around the lower half adding a dot of Multi-Matte Medium under the bow to keep it in place. The panel is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Pansy Purple, Orchid and Pink Peony Sequins are added to give the card a little movement! I always love the way colored pencils look on kraft card stock! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for your visit today! Have a simple and fun Sunday! 🙂

Paper Players 289

And we are coming into the home stretch of the week! It was chilly here again most of the day but started to warm up late in the evening. We are to have some rain today but it will be warmer! I’ll take it! Yesterday I tried to have a crafty day but other things kept getting in the way! I “lost” a stamp for a while and then Taylor and Kiera came over and Taylor found it for me within three minutes! She should have been here earlier! LOL! Last night they came back over and we watched a movie. A nice way to end the day! Today I have lots of stuff to get done, wish me luck!

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #289

It took me a while to come up with this one, I don’t have that much western stuff! The card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped a piece of Tip Top Taupe that I cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles Dies with the Hardwood Background Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Khaki Ink. My greeting is a Unity Stamp called Whiskey than Tea that I have had for a while and it’s heat embossed in Cherry Cobbler. I wrapped some Papertrey Ink Natural Twine around the panel and secured a Regals Collection Designer Button to it. The panel is then adhered to the base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My stars are Cherry Cobbler and they are cut out with Momenta Starts Cut & Emboss Dies. The right and left ones are adhered with E-Z Runner and the middle one with some Foam Tape. I love the woodgrain background and the stars are pretty neat too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for visiting me today! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 42 – Colors!

Well, it was a good day to stay inside! It rained all day and last night it was freezing! Spring… right?! Not here! I stayed inside most of the day. I FaceTimed with Andrea and crafted a little in the morning. Taylor and Kiera stopped by with Chipotle and ate lunch here. Danielle stopped by after work for a little while so we could catch up a bit, she’ll be back today, there was way too much to talk about! Today I have a little more crafting to get done and later I’m going to take a ride over to Scrap-A-Latte and see Renee. Hope fully it will be a bit warmer here!

It’s Tuesday so that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

SIP 42 Color Challenge 800

Some nice sooting colors! A lot of people had commented that the goldfish would look good in other colors so I gave it a try! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel is Solar White 80lb and all of my images and greeting are stamped onto it. The goldfish, stones and seaweed are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the goldfish in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy and then heat embossed them with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. The stones are stamped in Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Night of Navy repeatedly along the bottom. I stamped the seaweed in Soft Sky and because I clear embossed the fish it created an emboss resist so the seaweed looks like it’s behind them! My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Night of Navy. I used the Mini MISTI for the fish and greeting, it makes lining them up a breeze! The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I really do love that goldfish set and I think they do look pretty neat in blues! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! To see more inspiration head on over to the BLOG and don’t forget to enter your take on the colors in the gallery! Thank you so very much for coming by to see me today! Paper Craft Crew 187

What a day yesterday was. I have been trying to sell an iPhone 5S on eBay. The first time to sold over two weeks ago the guy never paid for it and then it turned out to be a fraudulent account. That took way too long to resolve! I re-listed it and someone hit the Buy it Now button and they didn’t pay either. I emailed them 6 times and finally they sent an email back saying that they changed their mind. Umm… that’s not how eBay works! So I give up! I had Subway with Heather for lunch, she made me laugh, always does! I did manage to get in some crafty time and Taylor and Kiera stopped by for a bit. Andrew came over around 5:45 and we headed up to the mall. Some Chipotle for dinner and then off to see Allegiant which was very good by the way! So after a somewhat annoying morning I did manage to end the day on a nice note!

The craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

PCCCS187 DT Sketch 3-24-2016

Yup, I have been plying with my Lawn Fawn a lot again, I really do just love the images and sentiments! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb cut to 4 1/4″ wide. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares to cut out a piece of Pacific Point and Solar White 80lb. I then used the Lawn Fawn Forest Border Lawn Cuts to cut out my trees on the White. The green is Mowed Lawn Distress Ink applied with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I added a little bit of Pine Needles Distress Ink to the trees and then adhered the green to the blue and then adhered the whole panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals are used to cut out a piece of Tempting Turquoise and Chocolate Chip. The Chocolate Chip is cut again across the middle using the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and adhered to the Tempting Turquoise. All of the images and greetings are from the Lawn Fawn Lovable Legends Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Yeti in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored him in with Copics flicking in some of the darker gray to give the appearance of fur. The trees are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Green Leaf and the footprints in Simon Says Stamp Khaki. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I then heat embossed the greeting onto the Chocolate Chip and another piece with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The unbelievable is cutout with the Lawn Fawn Just for You Labels Lawn Cuts. My trees are adhered with E-Z Runner and the Yeti, footprints and unbelievable are adhered with Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins make for some nice stars in the dusky sky! I really do love that Lovable Legends Set, isn’t the Yeti just too cute?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery! I always appreciate you coming by for a visit! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 440

Yes, it was the first day of Spring yesterday and yes, it snowed here last night! I think that Mother Nature is a little confused! Most of the day was nice and sunny, a little chilly but not bad. Then last night… snow! I’m over it, totally! LOL! I did enjoy my day at The Ink Pad with Jane yesterday. We had Dirty Bird for lunch… YUM! There was a steady flow of customers and I played a little with the Distress Crayons, I think that I really like them! The train ride home was nice too, not that many people on it. I had a little nap and then ate dinner at my Parent’s before coming home and crafting for a bit. Today is a little bit of a relaxed day! I want to wish my friend Andrea a very Happy Birthday!! Can’t wait to craft with you today!

I wanted to mention that The Ink Pad is chartering a bus to go to the Allentown Rubber Stamp Show on April 2nd. You can find out more info by clicking HERE to visit The Ink Pad’s web site! Be sure to tell them that Justin sent you! 🙂

Starting another week means a new Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo440

The other day I sat down and stamped a few of the Goldfish from Hero and one of them made it on to today’s card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Wave Embossing Folder on a piece of Mint Macaroon and two pieces of Pool Party. I adhered the Mint Macaroon panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner with a strip of Coastal Cabana across the middle. The two panels of Pool Party are adhered the same way and were embossed so that the pattern would line up. My Goldfish, well Black Moor really, is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Simon Says Stamp Smoke and Black Ink and then used the first layer to stamp it in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I’m still waiting for the dies so I used my Scissors to cut him out. A circle is cut from a piece of Vellum Card Stock using the Sizzix Circles Framelits. The Molly is then adhered to the Vellum with Foam Tape, some more Foam Tape is added behind the Molly and then the circle is adhered to the card. I heat embossed the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Sending Happy Thoughts Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on another piece of Vellum and punched it out with a 1″ Circle Punch. It’s adhered above the fish with more Foam Tape. Finally a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added and the card is done! I’m loving that Goldfish Stamp Set, especially in the grey and black and the embossing folder… well, I can’t say enough about them! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Fab Friday 83

Let’s see… what is today?! Why I think that it’s FRIDAY!! Yesterday was a pretty nice day here. There were a few brief showers but in between I managed to get the top down in the car! I ran some errands with Heather and then spent a little time with Daniel before heading over to Scrap-A Latte for card class. Andrew and Kayleigh picked up some Blaze Pizza and we had dinner before class started. It was a fun time, Thursday’s are a little more laid back than Friday’s. After class I caught up with Danielle and on the way home I stopped at Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. I have some crafty things to get done this morning before heading back over to Scrap-A-Latte for the second night of class. I’ll post the cards that we made on Sunday and also have a little surprise too!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our sketch challenge…

Fab Fri 83 3-18-2016

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered two strips, one of Silver Glimmer Paper and one Bermuda Bay to a piece of Black 110lb, stapled them with my Tiny Attacher and then adhered the panel to the card base. Next up is a piece of Cucumber Crush that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Waves 3D Embossing Folder. That is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My main panel is a piece of Bermuda Bay, I stamped the greeting and the map from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. The map is stamped in Mama Elephant Mojito Pigment Ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. For the greeting I used Onyx Black and then adhered the panel to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To give it a little sparkle I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Peacock Feather Iridescent, Shamrock and Sparkling Clear Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium. I love bold look of the Mojito Ink on the Bermuda Bay card stock and of course that 3D Embossing Folder is so cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the blog and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂
