Wisteria Pool Party Vogue Thank You

Good morning and happy Saturday to everyone! I’m off to the city again today to drop off some more Stampin’ Up! orders. What kind of fun things are you guys up to this weekend? For today’s card I was asked to make a Thank You card for a friend of mine that lives in Missouri, Dawn. The card uses the Note Card and Envelope Set in Whisper White. I used a plain piece of Wisteria Wonder for the Background. The images are from the set Vintage Vogue and are stamped in Wisteria Wonder. The large flower is cut out and mounted over the smaller stamped flowers with a Stampin’ Dimensional. A piece of Silver Glimmer Paper is punched out with the circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. and adhered to the middle of the flower. The greeting is from Curly Verses and is also stamped in Wisteria Wonder. They are all backed with Pool Party and adhered to card with SNAIL. For a great finishing touch I used a piece of Pool Party 3/8″ Ruffled Ribbon across the middle. I also stamped one of the small flowers on the front corner of the envelope. Vintage Vogue Concord Bride

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is just a few hours away! My good friend Angie from Blue Springs Missouri had her fist Workshop tonight and I attended it via FaceTime! You gotta love Apple and modern technology! 🙂 For today’s card I wanted to make a very feminine pretty birthday card. I used some Concord Crush for the base of the card. I took a piece of Very Vanilla and used the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set to make a background randomly stamped in Blushing Bride. I stamped some more images from the set in Concord Crush and cut out the flower image with my Paper Snips and used the Ticket Corner Punch on the F image. I stamped the Happiest Birthday from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) in Concord Crush and used the Ticket Corner Punch on that too. They are both mounted on Concord Crush Card Stock and all of the elements are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I used a Twitterpated Designer Button in Blushing Bride on the cut out flower image. Simple Sympathy

Hello there people and welcome to Thursday. Only one more day until the weekend! Today’s card is a card that no one likes to have to make, the sympathy card. It’s always a sad time but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be beautiful and simple. I started with a card base of Baja Breeze and to that I added a piece of So Saffron that I ran through the Big Shot using the Perfect Details Texturz Plate. The image is from the Love & Sympathy Stamp Set and is stamped in Baja Breeze on Whisper White Card Stock. I choose the greeting from the Loving Thoughts Stamp Set and that too is stamped in Baja Breeze and both are mounted on Baja Breeze Card Stock. A piece of  So Saffron 3/16″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon from the  Elementary Ribbon Originals on the Clearance Rack finishes off the card. A-maze-ing Baja Birthday

Happy Wednesday morning to all of you! Its mid-week which means we are halfway there! For today’s card I finally used some items that I purchased from the Occasions Mini Catalog a while ago. The base of the card is Chocolate Chip. I took a piece of Baja Breeze Card Stock and stamped it with the Woodgrain Background Wood Mount Stamp in Chocolate Chip. The cool little Maze Game is backed with a stamp from the Totally Amazing Stamp Set also stamped in Chocolate Chip and is punched out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. For a little more detail there is a piece of cheese in the middle that was stamped in More Mustard. I used some Glue Dots and Tombo to adhere it to the card. I stamped the mouse image in Chocolate Chip and punched it out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch and backed it with a piece of Chocolate Chip punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch. The top greeting is from Happiest Birthday Wishes (Host(ess)) and the lower greeting is also from the Totally Amazing Stamp Set. I think the idea of a maze game on the front of a card is fun. When you send this out  I would use one of the padded envelopes just to make sure that it arrives in one piece! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! 🙂

Mojo 234

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope your Monday was a good one, mine was ok. For today’s card I give you this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge…

I decided that I would use some of the Sale-A-Bration items before they are gone. The base of my card is Lucky Limeade. I added three strips of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) for my background. The stamps are from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and are stamped in Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait for the center images and the stamp image is stamped in Lucky Limeade. I backed the center image with Pool Party and the stamp image is punched out with the 1 1/4″ Square Punch and backed by a piece of Peach Parfait that punched out with the 1 3/8″ Square Punch. I adhered the center image with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the set Fabulous Phrases and is stamped in Lucky Limeade and mounted on some Poppy Parade. For the finishing touch I placed 3 Basic Jewels Rhinestones on the three outside stamped flower images. I love the Mojo Challenge and hope you like the card. Paper Players #88

A good Monday morning to you. I hope that you all had a nice weekend. As I mentioned yesterday, I went to see Rent and it was great! Thanks to My friend Kim, my daughter and I had a great afternoon! For this weeks Paper Players Challenge Ann has provided this sketch…

I always like to work with a sketch because it makes most of the work, the card layout, so much easier because it’s done for you. As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I used one of my favorite sets, French Foliage. The base of the card is Early Espresso and I used a piece of Well Worn Designer Series Paper for the background. I placed three 3/16″ Metallic Brads in the lower left corner, two in the brownish color and one in the aged silver color just to be a little different. I then stamped a piece of Very Vanilla with the En Français Background Wood Mount Stamp in Early Espresso Ink. I punched a piece of Cajun Craze with the Scallop Edge Border Punch and placed it underneath. The piece of ribbon across the front is Early Espresso 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon. After all of that was assembled I adhered it to the card with some Sticky Strip (I like to make sure that it’s not going anywhere!). The stamped images are from the French Foliage Stamp Set and are stamped in Cajun Craze and River Rock and I backed it with some Early Espresso. The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is stamped in Early Espresso and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch and half of it is hidden behind the stamped images. In-Color Flower Burst Thanks

Happy Sunday peeps! I’m off to the city today to go and see Rent with my daughter and my wonderful friend Kim. It is supposed to rain all day but I still love a day in the city. For today’s card I used, in my opinion, a somewhat underused product… the Flower Burst Embosslit. The base of the card is Wisteria Wonder. The background is created with the Big Shot and the Texturz Plates 1 Backgrounds using some Pool Party. I stamped the greeting from Outlined Occasions (Sale-A-Bration) in Calypso Coral and used my Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker to color in the stars. It’s mounted on a piece of Wisteria Wonder and adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used the Flower Burst Embosslit to cut out some Wisteria Wonder and Calypso Coral Card Stock and they are also adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Enchanted Label Fancy Fold

Good morning and happy Saturday! It’s the weekend so that means I get to spend some quality time with my stamps today! I have a bunch of cards to make and I’m looking forward to a nice creative afternoon. For today’s card I was looking around on Stampin’ Connection, one of the perks of being a Demonstrator, and I came across this tutorial for using the Framelits Labels Dies (Occasions Mini) in a new way. A Demonstrator by the name of Cristy Butzen posted the card. I changed the mechanics of the card a little to make it open a little differently. The base of the card is an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Lucky Limeade Card Stock. I scored it at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″ with my Simply Scored. Using my Big Shot I put the card stock on the cutting plate and lined the Labels Collection Framelit on the center 2 1/8″ score line. Then I slid the other cutting plate into the Big Shot and lined the edge of it up with the 2 1/8″ score line and ran it through. Doing this only cuts out the piece that is under the cutting plate. It is then folded along the score lines and ready to embellish. I used Pool Party cut out with the same size label die and a piece of Very Vanilla cut out with one size smaller. I stamped the tea cup in Calypso Coral and markered the pansy in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set (Occasions Mini). The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is also stamped in Calypso Coral. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line everything up. A piece of Calypso Coral Card Stock was punched along one side with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. To that I added two lengths of Calypso Coral 1/8″ Organdy Ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration). The stamped piece was adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Inside I used some of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) and another Label cut out in Very Vanilla. I love the mechanics of the card and it makes for a nice change from the traditional. Thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to stop and have a look. Have a great Saturday!

Creative Mixed Parlor

Happy FRIDAY everyone! We are almost to the weekend! My friend Kim and I are taking my daughter to see Rent this Sunday. It’s my daughter’s favorite movie and I have never seen the play so it should be a good time! For today’s card I used my Parlor Prints Background Stamp again. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I stamped a piece of Pool Party with Soft Suede Ink for my own Designer Series Paper. For the greeting I stamped an image from the Creative Elements Stamp Set in Soft Suede and cut it out with my Paper Snips. I punched a piece of Peach Parfait with the 1 3/4″ Scalloped Circle Punch. I then stamped a piece of Very Vanilla with another image from Creative Elements in Peach Parfait and then stamped the greeting in Soft Suede from the Elementary Elegance (Sale-A-Bration) Stamp Set and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. The flower is from the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and is Soft Suede stamped on Peach Parfait then punched out with the Blossom Punch. I punched out some Very Vanilla with the 2 3/8″ Scalloped Circle Punch to put behind it and attached them together with a brad form the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (Sale-A-Bration). The greeting and the Flower are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I like the vintage feel but slightly modern edge to the card. Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a great FRIDAY!

Happy Birthday Little B

Good morning everyone! I hope that you are all having a good week so far. It’s bound to get better tomorrow because it’s Friday! 🙂 Today’s card is for my Godson Brian. I call him little B because I know so many Brian’s! I have used the Uncharted Territory Stamp Set a lot for masculine birthday cards and it really is a great set. The base of the card is Not Quite Navy and the background was created by running a piece of So Saffron though the Big Shot using the Texturz Plates Backgrounds 1. The image, as I mentioned, is from Uncharted Territory and is stamped in Not Quite Navy Ink. I used the birds from Up, Up & Away, they almost look like they are made for this set.  For the greeting I used my “go to” birthday set Happiest Birthday Wishes. Three gold Metallic Brads finish off the card in the top right corner mounted on some more Not Quite Navy. Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!
