Happy Christmas Eve everyone! It’s going to be in the high 60’s here today, I like that temperature for Christmas Eve! Yesterday it rained all day, again, still better than snow! I went to the mall with Brian in the morning, yes, he had to go to the one that they had the shooting at on Tuesday! It wasn’t too crowded and he got all of the stuff that he needed to get. After that we came back to my house so I could get the plates off of my old car and finally turn them in. Christmas week is a good time to go to Motor Vehicles, I was in and out in 15 minutes! After that I hung around the house and FaceTimed with Andrea for a while and worked on some crafty stuff. Today is Michael’s birthday! A very Happy Birthday to you Mr. Trent!! I hope that you have a wonderful day! I have a bunch of last minute projects to get done today so I will be a busy little boy! Are you all done?!
Today I have a relatively easy and fun spinner card for you! I started by cutting a circle out of a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb and one out of Solar White 80lb with the Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circles Craft Dies. Next I used the Simon Says Stamp Nadine Snowflake to cut out two pieces of Solar White 80lb and a piece of Aqua Smooth Glitter Paper. I applied some Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to the backs of all of the pieces and then sandwiched a piece of DMC Silver Thread between the white snowflakes before adhering the glitter one. A layer of SNAIL is applied to the back of the front panel and the thread is placed on it before adhering it to the base. I ran the card through my Big Shot inΒ a piece of folded computer paper to make sure that it was adhered together really well. Another piece of the Aqua Smooth Glitter Paper along with some Solar White 110lb is then cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Merry & Bright Craft Dies. Some more spray adhesive adheres them to each other and the card. Not too complicated but it’s a really fun effect when you open the card and the snowflake spins around changing from aqua to white! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and that you are finished with your Holiday preparations! Thanks for stopping by and have a productive Thursday! π

This is a great card. I haven’t thought about spinner cards in a while. Yours is so neat with the multi-layer two-tone snowflake. Thanks for all your how-to tips. I’ll have to file this idea for my cards next Christmas, but the idea can be used for birthdays as well. Have a great Christmas Eve day. In DE we are loving the warm weather but not the rain so much.
Thanks HJ! I have been seeing them a lot lately and thought I would give one a try! It was a fun card to make and I love things that are interactive! I will still take the rain and warm weather over snow any day!! Hope you had a fun Christmas Eve!! π
Good Morning Justin:
I have never done a spinner card (and have yet to do a shaker card)! It looks complicated although your description of the process sounds pretty easy. I’m going to print this one out to remind myself to step outside my comfort zone and try something new. The card is absolutely beautiful and I’d love to be able to be comfortable making a spinner card. These past few months have been pretty hectic so if I must have a card I’ve simply reverted to my basic card style. It doesn’t look like things will calm down around here until February so I’ll print out this page and hang it in my room to remind me to sit back, take a deep breath, relax and try something new! You are such a great inspiration!
OH, Happy Birthday Michael – how does it feel to finally turn 20? LOL You have yourself a Merry Christmas and make sure you get some photos of Daniel opening presents. That is going to be such fun. Christmas without little kids just loses a bit of its joy. Love and hugs. XO π
Hello Grace!
I think I made one a while ago, I forgot how much fun they are! It’s not too complicated and was fun to make! You need to try a shaker at least!! Thank you! It’s a hectic time of year so yes, file it away and give it a try sometime in the future!
Ha! Michael is just a few years older than 20! LOL! I will take pictures of Daniel! He is the perfect age!! Love to you!! XOXO π
Beautiful! I admire your perfect placement of the silver thread. A very Merry Christmas to you, Justin! Big hugs! And a Happy Birthday to Michael!

Can’t wait to see Daniel’s face this Christmas. Take pictures, of course. My 26 year old still gets excited about Christmas. He has a serious girlfriend now (hooray!) so he is really into it. Tomorrow will be so much fun for all of us too.
Have a very merry Eve and Christmas to you Justin, your family and friends, and all the blog readers here! Hugs to all, Nancy B
