Hello! I can’t believe that it’s Thursday already. Renee and I both had somewhat productive days at the Stores yesterday. I got my projects for today’s hop done and Renee painted some wine glasses. I had a quite evening, after dinner I came home and watched TV. I have a bit of a toothache and needed to get my mind off of it so I watched two movies. Today I have my Quick Cards Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, that will be fun! And I managed to only use two stamp sets! 😀
For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Lori Mueller’s blog, welcome! This month we have an Oh My, Pumpkin’s and Pie or Fall theme! Not my favorite time of the year but I do love the colors! I have a card and a gift card holder that I made with some Concord & 9th goodness to share with you!
Up first is my card! The base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. My leaves are from the Concord & 9th Lacy Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed them as follows; Candied Yam with Hero Arts Copper, Herb Garden with Hero Arts Platinum and Dark Molasses with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. They are then cut out with the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaf Dies and adhered to a piece of Kraft with Dot Runner and 3D Foam Squares. I wrapped some May Arts Natural Twine around the top and tied it in a bow and then adhered it to the card base with E-Z Runner. The greeting is also from the Grateful Leaf Dies cut from a piece of Gold Mirror Card and three pieces of Dark Molasses. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere them to each other and more 3D Foam Squares, trimmed to fit behind, to adhere it to the card. That stamp set has to be one of my all time favorites and I love the leaves embossed in all the different metallic powders!
Next we have my little gift card holder. That Lawn Fawn Pillow Box Lawn Cut is definitely my go to die when I need to make a gift card holder, love it! It’s cut from Kraft and I stamped the small leaves from the Concord & 9th Lacy Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Cup O Joe Ink. Another piece of Candied Yam is cut out with the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Dies and I used the Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script Upper and Lower Case Alphabets and some more Cup O Joe to stamp Thanks on the leaf. A piece of Herb Garden and Dark Molasses are heat embossed with the small leaf in Platinum and Gold and cut out with the Coordinating Die from the Grateful Leaves Dies. I adhered them to the large leaf with Dot Runner. More May Arts Natural Twine wrapped and tied in a bow finishes off my gift card holder. I love the way it coordinates with the card but uses a few different elements!
I hope that you enjoyed my card and gift card holder for the OSAT Oh My, Pumpkins and Pie or Fall Blog Hop! What great projects, Justin. I love the colors with the bling of the different EPs. I hope your toothache goes away soon. Take care and have a great Thursday.
Thank you HJ! I do love Fall colors and the mix of Metallics is fun! I think I have to go to urgent card, it’s getting worse. 🙁 Hopefully I can get some drugs and get rid of it! Have a lovely day! 🙂
Hi Justin:
Really neat combo of card and gift card holder. I really need to think about making the gift card holder I need for Christmas. I’m so far behind! LOL Of course the gold mirror card stock is my favorite but I also like that you used 3 different embossing powders on the leaves. The copper EP has really become popular this year. I don’t think I could be sitting and watching movies if I had a toothache so you did well. Make sure you get that taken care of quickly before it becomes a bigger problem.
This will be my last post before I leave on my trip so don’t think I forgot you and I will play catch up when I get back once again. You have yourself a Tremendous Thursday, enjoy your Thirsty Thursday gathering and have fun with your card classes today. Love and hugs, XXOO 🙂
Hey Grace!
Thanks! I do love that Lawn Fawn Pillow Box Die! I love all of the different metallic powders that are out today! If I’m doing something else it takes my mind off of the pain! I’m hoping that it gets better on it own!
I hope that you have a fabulous trip! You shall be missed! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂
Justin,
The lacy leaf is just Beautiful!!! Love the card and the gift card holder. The die cut sentiment in the gold is perfect. LOVE this card!!
Hi Gerri!
Thanks so much! I love that Lacy Leaf stamp and the greeting from the die set, especially in gold! 🙂
HI Justin,
I love your card and box. I have created a special bookmark spot just for all your cards….I love looking at them!
I would love to see the back of one of your cards where you use the dot runner, 3D foam squares and EZ runner.
Hope your tooth feels better….the dentist is probably waiting for you.
Hello Karen!
Thank you very much! I will see if I can remember to take a picture of the back of the card before I put it together! My tooth is a little better today thanks! 🙂
Love this! So elegant with the gold and other metallics, and yet earthy too with the kraft. (Though I guess metal comes from the earth so there’s that!) Anyway I love the juxtaposition and I love the “K” that you added to your picture! Hope your tooth is feeling better!
Thank you Linda! LOL! Yes, I like all of the metallics with the Kraft! I like my little K and forget about him! LOL! Thanks, it’s a little better today! 🙂
Oh so pretty! But when is your stuff not gorgeous. 🙂 Great card and I love the pillow box.
Thank you Wendy! That’s very kind of you to say! 🙂
Beautiful, simple card Justin.
Thanks Sara! 🙂
I hope urgent care works for you. The pain has to be excruciating after several days. You are a very strong man to be able to stand it. Good luck! I’ll be thinking about you, my friend. Hugs to you.
I still haven’t gone HJ! I know I should go but it’s actually feeling better today. I just try and forget about it and take lots of Advil! Hugs back to you! 🙂
Beautiful, love the earthy fall feel with the colored paper and metalic embossing. I love this set as you well know.
Flippin Freezing here! There was even frost on my car this morning, way too soon.
Hope the tooth ache goes away, I hate dental issues
Thanks Linda! Yes, you do like the set! Which reminds me… thank you so much for the gorgeous card!! I love it!
It’s chilly here too but is supposed to warm up a bit next week.
I hope the tooth feels better soon! I hate anything to do with the dentist! 🙂
