Fab Friday 100

I enjoyed my day in Manhattan yesterday as I always do! The train was late as it usually is but I got to read some of my book on the way in and enjoyed my time with Ella. I also wandered around a little before heading back out to the Island. Heather arrived in Florida with her luggage which she was quite happy about. Whenever she flies Delta they inevitably misplace it! I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then Taylor and I ran a few errands. I also got to spend a little time in the Stampin’ Galley and make my card for today! I miss the Stampin’ Galley! Today I’ll be back at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, lots to do! 😀

To finish off this week we have a new Fab Friday Challenge for you…

fab-fri-100-11-11-2016

I went with a nice simple almost one layer card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Love You, Mean It Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the circles twice in Versa-Mark onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and heat embossed them in Gold Embossing Powder. The rest of the images are stamped in Hero Arts Grape Juice, Butter Bar and Mint Julep with the greeting stamped in Grape Juice. I adhered the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam and added some Gold Seed Beads and Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the card to finish it off! I love the simplicity of the card, the greeting is wonderful and I always love when I can use just one Stamp Set! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

OSAT November Blog Hop – Let it Snow!

osat-blog-hop-banner

It was a gloomy day here on Long Island yesterday, it rained on and off. They continued the construction at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store but this time it was really noisy! Hopefully it will be done soon! I worked on a few projects at the Store and my friend Dianne stopped by, always nice to see her! I went straight over to Heather’s after work. She is leaving tomorrow for Florida, there will be no Thirsty Thursday this week. We had a nice evening, got some Subway for dinner and I helped her pack. This morning I’m off to Manhattan for a bit to see Ella. We know how I enjoy a little trip into the city!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my friend Pam Staples blog, welcome! This month we have a Let it Snow theme! Not that I want it to snow at all! LOL!! I have a card and some coordinating gift tags that I made with one of my favorite Hero Arts Sets to share with you!

First up is the card! I started with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and added a piece of Echo Park This & That 12×12 Paper for my background. I stamped the coffee cup from the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags & Dies Combo in Lime Green using my Mini MISTI to stamp it twice. The whipped cream is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Puff Embossing powder and then the cup and cream are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My mittens and greeting are from the Hero Arts Christmas Mittens Stamp & Die Combo and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out the mittens and flagged the left side of the greeting banner. They are all adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I added just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and a Gold Heat Embossed holly bunch to the coffee cup and the card is done! I do love that Coffee Cup Set… hmmm… might have something to do with my obsession with coffee?! 😀

osat-november-blog-hop-card-wm

Next I have three gift tags. They were super easy to make especially since I stamped them at the same time I stamped the pieces for the card! The sleeve and to and from are stamped in Red Royal. I punched a hole in the left side and added some Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Single Cord Lawn Trimmings. For a little extra something I heat embossed one of the snowflakes from the Holiday Mittens Stamp & Die Combo in Hero Arts White Puff Embossing Powder and cut it out with the Coordinating Die. They are adhered to the tags with 3D Foam Squares. Quick and easy Holiday tags, way better than store bought!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Sparkle & Shine!

Hello again! This is my second post for today! It’s time once again for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge! We are up to number 3 and this one is a Sparkle & Shine Theme! Who doesn’t love a little sparkle and shine?! You all know that I do! You have until Wednesday, December 7th to play along, winners will be announced on Thursday, December 8th! Now here is this month’s challenge badge…

challenge-3-sparkle-shine

I finally got my hands on some of the Hero Arts Clear Acetate Note Cards and couldn’t wait to use one and that’s what my card base for today is! I used the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Dies to cut out a few from some American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. I cut out three of the small leaves and one of the larger ones. From the larger one I die cut the grateful from the same set and again from a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock. I then cut more leaves from Solar White 80lb, three more of the small ones and four more of the large ones. To one of those I added Dot Runner Adhesive and adhered the large gold leaf and then inlaid the Black grateful into it. The leaves are then adhered to the card front with more Dot Runner. On the inside I adhered the small white leaves and large leaf to cover up the adhesive and did the same directly behind the large leaf on the front and back of the back of the card so there was a place to write a greeting. I do love the way that the leaves seem to just float there, gives it a nice whimsical look! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Sparkle & Shine Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the super talented Design Team’s cards! We hope that you will enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thank you for coming by again today to share my second post for today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 218

I had a very nice day yesterday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was a good time! I managed to get two cards made, run some errands and place some much needed orders! I snuck out a little early so that I could get to see Daniel before he went home. We had dinner together, he’s a slow eater, especially when he’s watching his hiPad! We played for a bit and then Andrew came over for a visit. He is helping me with a little project related to the store. Hopefully we will have it finished in a week or two! I’m excited to share with you what we are up to! After Andrew left I went over and met Heather and we stopped by Geroge’s and then picked up a few things at Target. When we got back to her house she made some fried green tomatoes and they were delicious! I had a bunch of things to do when I got home so by the time I made it into bed it was after 12:30. Today is a busy day here on the blog, I have the Paper Craft Crew post which you are reading now and at 11:00 I will have my post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge, so be sure to come back for that one too!

Speaking of the Paper Craft Crew we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe board for you this week…

pcccs218-dt-tic-tac-toe-11-09-2016

To start off today’s card I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Soft Purple and Tide Pool Ink to it. I then die cut the Hero Arts Jar Frame Cuts from it and stamped the snowflakes from the Hero Arts Wintertime Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Tide Pool. Across the bottom is a piece of Kaiser Craft Mademoiselle 12×12 Paper with the bottom of the jar cut from it. I adhered it to the panel and then adhered a piece of Acetate to the back. On the jar that I die cut I stamped the jar in Tide Pool and the images from the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set. The snow is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, the house is stamped in Soft Brown and the tree in Green Hills. Next up I die cut the Jar from two pieces of Fun Foam and adhered them to each other and the a card base of Solar White 110lb with E-Z Runner and E-Z Runner Micro. I added a piece of American Crafts Powder Glitter Tape down the right side. The stamped jar is then adhered inside the well and some Iridescent Seed Beads and Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins are added before adhering the panel to the card. Last but not least I stamped my greeting in Cup O Joe, it’s from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. I still love that Winter Scene Set, the jar definitely makes a fun shaker! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery after getting some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thank you for coming by this morning, I hope to see you back here a little later on for my second post! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 73 – Grateful!

That was a Monday for sure. I woke up with a little bit of a headache, but it wasn’t too bad. It was hot in the apartment so I’m guessing that’s why. I had a nice quiet ride to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and managed to get two cards made in the morning. The headache got worse as the day progressed and I finally took some Excedrin around 4:30. It had gotten a little bit better by the time I headed home and I felt much better after dinner. I ran a few errands and watched some crafty YouTube videos before calling it a night. Today I want to focus on planning out my classes and future events a little better. I need to work on that, I’m not the greatest at planning ahead! 😀

So, today is Tuesday and that means that there is a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

sip-challenge-73

I have to say that the grateful die in the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves set is probably one of my favorites of all time! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I die cut the grateful from a piece of Deep Blue and then traced the outline onto the card base. I then heat embossed the sentient and leaf from the Concord & 9th Lacy Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. While it doesn’t seem complicated it sure did tale a long time to adhere all of those Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequins! I kept checking to make sure that I hadn’t missed any spots! After the Multi-Matte Medium dried I put some 3D Foam Squares around the sequins and added Fun Foam to the top and then adhered the panel to the card. I did take a picture of what it looked like before I put it together…

sip-73-sequins-wm

Messy cluster of sequins! Just a few more Gold Sequins and the card is finished! I do love the look of all of the sequins through the die cut grateful, it almost looks like it’s a shaker! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and get some inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and share your card with us! Thanks for your visit today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 473

Another weekend done! I enjoyed mine and hope that you all did too! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was fun for day two of the crop. I really do enjoy spending time with everyone! My friend Sandy came by to visit me, love when she pops in! I have some serious ordering to do today, need to get things restocked. I’m also working on a bunch of kits as a trial. They will be very limited edition to start and depending on how they do there will be many more (hopefully!)! After work I enjoyed a little time with my Parents and then came home and straightened up. Andrew’s Mum stopped by to pick up two thank you cards that she had asked me to make. We had a nice little visit, she’s such a sweet lady! I also got to see Taylor briefly, nice to know that she’s still around! We are to have nice weather here all week, cool but sunny! I can deal with that! 😀

It’s Monday so we are starting the week off here on the blog with a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

mojo473

You know how I love my non-traditional Holiday cards, well I like to think of this one as Christmas in Key West! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used a piece of Carta Bella Beach Day Surf Shop 12×12 Paper for my background and across the lower half is a piece of Candied Yam. My panel is a piece of Mosaic Blue that I heat embossed my greeting from the Lawn Fawn Merry Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I backed it with a piece of Silver Glitter Paper and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The cute Christmas bulbs are cut out with the Lawn Fawn String of Lights Lawn Cuts. I cut the backers from Solar White 80lb and the fronts from Tropical Sea, Candied Yam, Lemon Lime, Classic Cherry and Lemon Sorbet. The tops are cut from more Silver Glitter Paper. I adhered all of the pieces together and then adhered them to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A piece of Lawn Fawn Silver Sparkle Single Cord Lawn Trimmings is threaded through them and the ends are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. For a little sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze, Tangerine, Lime Sorbet, Raspberry, Lemon, Cobalt and Silver Sequins. When I look at this card I see a string of lights on a little beach shack, see why I said Christmas in Key West?! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see your take in the gallery! I thank you so much for starting your week off here, with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Holly Day Ornaments

What a super busy day I had at the stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! The ladies were there for the crop and a bunch of them decided that they would make cards. I demoed the MISIT and helped them out with some Altenew and Concord & 9th Stamps. I also snipped dies apart and played with Evelyn’s new Gemini Die Cutting Machine. Renee’s daughter Krista stopped by to make some things for a Bridal Shower that she is a part of next week. I helped her with the cards and Renee helped her with the Bridal Bingo. After work I came home and met my Parents and we went to Applebee’s for dinner. When I got back to the house I watched a little TV and then called it night. Today is day 2 of the crop… more fun ahead! 😀

For today’s craftiness, I have a relatively simple card that I made using some Hero Arts sets! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the pine branches from the Hero Arts Happy Holly Days Photopolymer Stamp Set in Green Hills and Forever Green directly onto the card front. My ornaments are from the Hero Arts Ornaments Stamp & Die Combo, I stamped them in Hero Arts Intense Black Ink onto some Arches 140lb Watercolor Card. They are colored in with Mermaid Lagoon, Mustard Seed and Wilted Violet Distress Inks and an Aquawash Waterbrush. After they dried I cut them out with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Before I adhered my Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Amethyst, Lemon and Sea Breeze Sequins I stamped my greeting in the lower left from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Intense Black and the card is finished! I love the ornaments, especially “watercolored”! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for your visit! Have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Joyful Forest Deer

And how are all of you today?! I’m doing pretty well! I had a nice day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, got a few things accomplished and my friend Sue surprised me with a visit! Surprise drop-ins at the Store are always fun! Renee left early to spend some time with her grandkids and I ended up getting to speak to Michael for a bit before I headed home. My Mum had my dinner ready for me, I’m a little spoiled I know, when I did get home! After dinner I spent some time with my Parents and then Sue stopped by my house to pick up some things that she ordered. Twice in one day! Woo hoo! After Sue left I straightened up around the house and then ran to the bank, gas station and Target. Today I want to continue to get ahead of my projects and there is a crop so I’ll get to see all of the ladies! 😀

I have a simple Holiday card to share with you that I made the other day. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a few of the greetings from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and mounted them to an acrylic block and then stamped them going from upper left to lower right in Hero Arts Soft Brown Ink. Around the left side I tied a piece of May Arts Natural Twine in a bow at the top and then adhered the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. Next up is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts. The images are from the Hero Arts Vintage Christmas Wishes Stamp & Die Combo, I stamped the trees in Green Fields and the deer in Cup O Joe and then adhered the square to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Lemon Lime that is then adhered to the card with still more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! See, not too complicated and I really just wanted to stamp! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thanks for stopping by and I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 261

So I have been calling in for stand-by Jury Duty all week and last night I was excused! YAY! The last two times that I had Jury Duty I was on a case, not fun! I had a very busy and productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! First thing in the morning I rearranged all of my product! I grouped a whole bunch of Christmas on my gondola when you first walk in. I even added some garland and ornaments around it! Renee had Gwen come up to do her wood projects and Jean stopped in to work on some more cards. The highlight of my day was my Parents bringing Daniel up to see me! He ran in to the store and gave me the biggest hug! We played for a while, hide and seek amongst the displays. After they left I made my card for today. There wasn’t much traffic on my way to Heather’s so I got there a little early. She had to return boots to Marshall’s so we left her place and stopped by my house to drop off my bags and Daniel was still at my Parent’s so we went in and saw him. He was happy to see me again! We played with him for a bit and we both got a hug and a kiss when we left. While we were at Marshall’s I looked around and found a really funky coat and Heather found a few other things too. Stephanie and Kim both came by for Thirsty Thursday this week! We had a great time and Stephanie made us watch the first episode of This is Us. Not a bad show. Renee is leaving early today to watch her grandkids so I’ll be at the store until 7:00, got to get some more stuff done! 😀

That card that I mentioned that I made earlier is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

freshly-made-sketches-261

I started my card off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Lemon Lime. Across the lower half is a piece of Pale Aqua. The main panel is where I did my stamping. The line across the top is from the Concord & 9th Birdie Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Lawn Fawn Licorice Ink. My ornaments are from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the outlines in Licorice and the centers in Jalapeño, Merman and Fresh Lavender. The trees and greeting are also from the O Christmas Tree Set, I stamped the trees in Merman and Fresh Lavender and the greeting in Jalapeño. My panel is then adhered to a piece of Purple Hearts and then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The trees needed a little something so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine, Fresh Mint and Amethyst Sequins! You all know how I love a non-traditional Christmas card… well this one definitely fits the bill! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for spending some of your Friday with me! Have a super day! 🙂

Paper Players 319

When I woke up this morning it was 91 degrees in my apartment, needless to say I had a pretty bad headache! You know it’s warm in the house when you take a nice hot shower and the mirrors in the bathroom don’t even fog up! I downed some Excedrin and headed to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Renee had a friend of hers drive up from PA to take a class! She was very nice! Jean also stopped by and worked on some cards and my headache finally subsided by 2:00PM. I did manage to get the last card made for class and also made another one just for fun! When I got home I went and turned the heat off in the apartment, still 91! I should have done it in the morning! I opened all of the windows and by the time I went to bed at 12:30 it was still 82! I need to get the thermostat fixed ASAP! I mean I like it warm but that’s just crazy! Today I need to work on some crafty stuff! Another fun day! 😀

One of the cards that I made over the weekend is for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from LeAnne

paper-players-319

I went down the left column! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Tape. On a piece of Solar White 80lb I used the Hero Arts Paper Layering Santa Face with Frame to die cut just face part without the frame. I colored in parts with my Copics and popped up some areas before adhering the panel to a piece of Fun Foam with E-Z Runner and then to the card. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black in the lower right and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are added for a little extra sparkle! I love that Paper Layering Die, so clever and I think he looks pretty neat all colored in! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from LeAnne! Thanks you for stopping by to visit me today! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂
