Papaya Collage Sneak Peek

Good morning and happy Monday to you… blah! Whoever came up with a five day work week seriously needed to re-think it! I had a very nice weekend, busy, but I got to see my friends and spend some time crafting! Today’s card is a sneak peek at the new Papaya Collage Stamp Set. The name is a little misleading but I love sets that aren’t all matched up but still look great together. I started with a  base of Soft Suede and I took one of the stamps from the set and stamped it in Soft Suede for a Designer Series Paper look. The frame Is stamped in one of the new In-Colors, Summer Starfruit. It’s a yellow with a little bit of green in it. The rose image is stamped in Primrose Petals, another one of the new In-Colors. It’s a pink with a little tiny hint of purple. The little bird is stamped in Soft Suede and mounted on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I put the little hat on him for Sandy, I think it gives him a hint of whimsy. The greeting is actually from another one of the new sets called Memorable Moments and it is also stamped in Primrose Petals. Everything is sponged in Crumb Cake to give it a slightly vintage look. I’m in love with the new products and can’t wait to get my hands on a paper copy of the new catalog. I hope you enjoyed today’s sneak peek! Have an awesome day! 🙂

Bashful Indigo Daffodil Red Soaring Farewell

Happy Sunday people! I hope that you are having a good weekend so far. I had a very nice day yesterday in the city. I was all over the place. Today’s card is a farewell to one of the sets that didn’t make the carryover list from the Occasions Mini, Send Me Soaring. I love the kites and I have seen them used in all kinds of ways, even stamped in a row as a border. I started with a Note Card size Whisper White card from the Note Card and Envelope Pack. I added a pice of Bashful Blue for the sky. The kites from the Send Me Soaring Stamp Set (Retired) are stamped in Island Indigo, Real Red and Daffodil Delight and are cut out with Paper Snips. The cloud is the icing from the Create A Cupcake Builder Punch. I stamped the greeting, also from Send Me Soaring, in Island Indigo and punched it out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch and backed it with a piece of Real Red punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch. Some Whisper White Bakers Twine makes the perfect kite strings. All of the pieces are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the finishing touch I stamped some birds from the Up, Up and Away Stamp Set in Island Indigo. It is a happy little get well card and I hope that you enjoyed it. Thanks so much for dropping by and have a great day!

Carry On Sneak Peek

Good Saturday morning to everyone! I’m off to Manhattan today to see some of my peeps. Today’s card is a sneak peek at some of the new items from the 2012-2013 Catalog from Stampin’ Up! The set that I used for this card is called Carry On and it’s one of the new Host(ess) Sets. I really like it because the font is great and the images go with each saying. It also features two of the new In-Colors from the 2012-2014 set, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse. I started with one of the Note Card size cards for my card base. I added a piece of Basic Grey Card Stock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polkadots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of the new Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon (Sneak Peek) is run down the middle from top to bottom. I stamped the greeting from the new Carry On Stamp Set (Sneak Peek) in Midnight Muse (sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors) and backed it with a piece of Midnight Muse Card Stock (Sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors). I then cut two 1/2″ pieces of Gumball Green Card Stock (Sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors) and used the 1″ Square Punch to flag the ends and adhered them to the back. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals are used to mount it to the card. I stamped the image from the Carry On Stamp Set (Sneak Peek) in Gumball Green (Sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors) and mounted it on a piece of Midnight Muse Card Stock (Sneak Peek 2012-2014 In-Colors) punched out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch. I can’t wait for you to see the new Host(ess) Sets in the catalog, I love them all! Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day! 🙂

Happy Birthday Heather!

Good morning all, it’s FRIDAY! Here comes the weekend and I can’t wait! Yesterday was my friend Heather’s birthday. She is a sweet and wonderful person and real girlie girl so I figured that it was the perfect opportunity to use my new Petite Purse Bigz Die. I used a piece of Perfect Plum Card Stock for the purse. I added the holes for the handle and the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper to the flap before I used Sticky Strip to put the purse together. I used a piece of Whisper White 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon (Retired List) over the handle and attached it with two Silver Mini Brads. Around the bottom I used Sticky Strip to adhere some Blushing Bride Ruffled Ribbon (Occasions Mini-Retired). The greeting on the purse is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Wood Mount Stamp Set and is stamped in Perfect Plum and punched and re-punched with the Word Window Punch. For the card I cut a piece of Perfect Plum to 3″ x 6″, scored it at 3″ and folded it in half. I placed a piece of matching Twitterpated DSP on the front. The greeting is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and again is stamped in Perfect Plum, mounted on Perfect Plum and adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I punched out some flowers with the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and adhered them with some Mini Glue Dots. A Basic Jewels Rhinestones on each flower complete the card. I stamped some flowers from the Itty Bitty Bits Stamp Set on the front of the envelope in Perfect Plum and Blushing Bride (Retired). Heather loved the card and purse and I hope that you enjoyed it too. Have an awesome day! 🙂

Navy River Suede Triple Worn Thanks

Good morning peeps and happy Thursday! One more day and we’ll be at Friday! When I went to Washington, DC a few weeks ago I mentioned that friends of mine let me use their gorgeous apartment in Georgetown. You really couldn’t ask to meet two nicer people than they are. I was so glad that they liked the thank you card that I sent then. It was actually one of the few times that I had a picture for inspiration. I was asked to see if the curtains in this photo would work in the apartment…

As it so happens they will look great! I took some of the colors from the picture and used them in the thank you card. I started with a base of Soft Suede. The top part of the background is River Rock that I ran through my Big Shot using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The bottom half is a piece of Well Worn Designer Series Paper (Retired List) that coincidentally has all of the colors in that I needed! I covered the seam with a piece of Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (Retired List). The images are from the Triple Treat Flower A la Carte Wood Mount Stamp (Retired List) and they are stamped in Not Quite Navy, Cajun Craze and Early Espresso. I used the Fancy Flower Punch to punch them out and they are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede and mounted on a piece of Soft Suede Card Stock. I love the card and will miss the retiring products but can’t wait to see what is in store for us in the new catalog! Have a great day and thank for stopping by!

Pool Indigo Apothecary Pocket Thanks

Good morning to everyone and happy Wednesday. It is supposed to be a nice day here Long Island today and the weekend is supposed to be beautiful. Today’s project is a small thank you envelope. I am always looking for a small card that can be put inside a gift and this one works perfectly. I started with some Pool Party Card Stock and ran it through the Big Shot using the Petite Pocket Bigz XL Die. I used the extend crease pads and a spacer to get the score line just right. Two lines of Sticky Strip and you have a cute little envelope. The image on the front of the pocket is from the Apothecary Art Stamp Set (Occasions Mini) and is stamped in Island Indigo. I used the Labels Collection Framelits Dies to cut it out and put a piece of Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon behind it and adhered it with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the inside “card” I cut a piece of Crumb Cake to 3 3/4″ x 2″ and used the Round Tab Punch to punch out a piece of Island Indigo and folded it half and adhered it to the Crumb Cake with some more Sticky Strip. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Pool Party. I used the Word Window Punch to punch it out and put it back in to crop it to the size that I wanted. You can slide the top flap under the closure held on by a 3/16″ Metallic Brad. It’s a different way to put a card with a gift and different is always good. I hope that you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Mojo 239

Happy Tuesday everyone! I’m glad to see that everyone made it through Monday. I was up early this morning to see the Stampin’ Up! 2012-2013 Catalog Demonstrator Pre-Order. I lost control just a little! But, I will have some really cool new stuff to show you next week! Now on to today’s card which is for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This weeks sketch is from Julee Tilman and she has provided us with…

Sometimes I get lucky and as soon as I see a sketch I know what I’m going to use and thankfully this was one of them. I started with a base of River Rock (a very neglected color by me) and I added a piece of Well Worn Designer Series Paper to the top. The bottom is a piece of Soft Suede that I ran through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Across the middle is a piece of Early Espresso to which I tied a piece of Soft Suede 3/8″ Satin Ribbon. The greeting is from the Word Play Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Suede on a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used the Curly Label Punch to punch out a piece of River Rock and adhered half of it to the back of the greeting, that was then adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Even with the ribbon this would still make a nice masculine birthday card. I love the Well Worn DSP and am going to miss it and it’s very masculine appeal. But I’m sure that there will be something equally as nice to replace it in the new Catalog. Have a nice day and thank you for dropping by. 🙂

Paper Players #93

Good Monday morning everyone! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, I did. I got to see some friends in Manhattan and spent some time with my favorite daughter, wait she’s my only daughter, but she is still my favorite! 🙂 Today’s card is for this weeks Paper Players Challenge. This weeks hostess is Leslie and she has given us a tic-tac-toe challenge. Pick three in a row to make your card…

I chose to go diagonal with Flowers, Pick Your Own (watercoloring) and Designer Paper (I made my own). The base of the card is Soft Suede. For my designer paper I took a piece of Very Vanilla and inked up the Parlor Prints Background Stamp in Rich Razzleberry. I used the Labels Collection Framelits Dies to cut out a piece of Lucky Limeade and then embossed it using the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The images and the greeting are from the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set. The cup is stamped in Rich Razzleberry and the pansy is stamped in Lucky Limeade. I CASE’d the image from Stampin’ Success. I used an Aqua Painter with Rich Razzleberry and Lucky Limeade Ink to paint in the flowers and leaves. I stamped the image a second time, watercolored it, cut it out with my Paper Snips and mounted it on a piece of Stampin’ Dimensional. I used the Labels Collection Framelits Dies to cut out the image and mounted it to the Lucky Limeade label with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting is stamped in Soft Suede and cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies too and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I added a Basic Jewels Pearl to the center of the flower just for Ann! I hope that you enjoy the card and thank you so much for stopping by. Enjoy your day!

Poppy Totally Tess 3D

Good morning and a happy Sunday to everyone. I’m off to Manhattan again today for a little bit in the morning and then hopefully spending some quality time with my stamps after that! My card from last weeks Paper Players Challenge was Ann’s Pick of the Week. You can see the card on the Paper Players site HERE. Thanks to all of the talented ladies over there!

Today’s project I made for a wonderful friend of mine Sandy. She is super talented and just the nicest person you could ever want to meet. You can check out her blog at www.stampwithsandy.com. I have made a few of these cards and I love them. I used the Totally Tess Stamp Set (Retired List) because I think that Sandy looks a little like Tess! I started with a piece of Crumb Cake Card Stock cut to 12″ x 5 1/2″. It is scored at 1/2″, 3 1/2″, 4″, 7″, 8″ and 11″. The two windows are cut out of the larger outside pieces. The inside “wallpaper” is from the no longer available Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration 2012. I stamped Tess and all of her accessories in Basic Black Ink and cut them out with my Paper Snips. The I Love Stamps on the bag is stamped in Poppy Parade and adhered to Tess with a Mini Glue Dot. The wood stamp and the card are stamped in Crumb Cake and the heart on the stamp is colored in with Cajun Craze. Tess is colored in with Blush Blossom, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade, Not Quite Navy and Soft Suede Stampin Write Markers. The markers around the border of the front of the card are colored in with the 2011-2013 In-Color Markers and Not Quite Navy. Finally the greeting on the card is stamped in Poppy Parade and punched out with the Modern Label Punch. The two Poppy Parade paper dots are punched out with the Owl Builder Punch. Sandy loved the card and I hope that you like it too! Thanks so much for stopping by, have a great day! 🙂

Crumb Artichoke Furry Folk 2 x 2 Set

Happy Saturday everyone! It’s supposed to be sunny and a little chilly today. I’ll be in Manhattan this morning and then off to look after my friends dogs later on. I’m going to try and squeeze in some Stampin’ too! Today’s project features three items from the retired list, all of which I will be sad to see go. The Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL Die, Circle Scissor Plus and especially the Furry Folk Stamp Set seeing as I just got it! The box and card bases are Crumb Cake Card Stock. The cards are cut to 2″ x 4″ and then scored in half and folded. The box is cut out with the Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL Die (Retired List). The images on the top of the box and the background for all the teeny cards is stamped with the Woodgrain Background Wood Mount Stamp in Crumb Cake. The images on the top of the box are from the Furry Folk Stamp Set (Retired List) and are stamped in Soft Suede and Always Artichoke. I mounted them with Stampin’ Dimensionals on a piece of Always Artichoke that I ran through my Big Shot using the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The images on all of the cards, also from Furry Folk(Retired List) are stamped in Soft Suede too. Some of them are punched out with the 1″ Circle Punch and mounted on Always Artichoke punched out with the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch. The two larger images are punched out with the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch and mounted to Always Artichoke that was cut to 1 5/8″ using the Circle Scissor Plus (Retired List). The greetings are form the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and are stamped in Always Artichoke and punched out using the Word Window Punch. I put them back in the punch to size them to length that I needed. For a finishing touch on all of the pieces I stamped the butterfly image in Bravo Burgundy and punched them out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots. I love these little cards and they would be great as gift tags or to put a little note in anything. I hope that you got some inspiration and that you have a wonderful Saturday!
