I just can’t say enough about how lovely the weather has been here! And down by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store there is a breeze all the time that is just heavenly! Lots got accomplished at the store today! My friend Sue came by to help me, she so awesome! We got everything cut for Card Class. I made a custom stamp for someone with my Mint! That was fun! When I got home my little buddy Daniel was at my Parent’s. I had dinner and then he and I played with his trucks and made it rain grass on them which he thought was pretty awesome! I’m sure that when he starts doing that at my Brother’s house I will hear about it! LOL! He went to see his sister yesterday, here is a little picture of that…

    Daniel & Tristan

I think that he will make a very good big brother! He even combed her hair while he was there! The rest of the evening was pretty quiet, just how I wanted it to be! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my good friend Dena’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Shabby Chic theme! Not really a style that I’m good at but I’m up for trying anything! I have two cards and a fun little box to share with you!

Both of the cards use most of the same elements. They both have bases of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered in a piece of Early Espresso. The patterned paper on both is the same too, it’s from Blue Fern and is from the Timeless Collection. The flowers on both cards are from the Altenew Botanical Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed on Tim Holtz Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I used Dusty Concord, Pumice Stone and Bundled Sage Distress Inks and a Waterbrush to color in the flowers and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. On the first card I adhered a piece of the Timeless Paper to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner after distressing the edges. A Tea Lace Paper Doily is then adhered to the left side. On top of that is another piece of the Timeless Paper under a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Spellbinders Savoy Decorative Accent Nestabilities. My flowers are adhered with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. For the greeting I heat embossed the hello from the Altenew Halftone Hello Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder and cut it and piece of Fun Foam out with the Coordinating Die. It’s adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. A scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Amethyst Sequins finishes the card.

OSAT July Blog Hop Card 2-WM

The second card also has a piece of the Timeless Paper adhered with E-Z Runner. I cut another piece to 3 1/2″ x 4″, distressed the edges and adhered that with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few loose loops of May Arts Twine are adhered under the flowers on this card. My greeting is from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold on a piece of Early Espresso with the right side flagged. Some Foam Tape adhered that to the card and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card.

OSAT July Blog Hop Card 1-WM

My box is cut from the same Blue Fern Timeless Paper using the Spellbinders Makers Mart Month 4 Die Set. I then used some more of the dies to cut feathers out of Gold Mirror Card and leaves out of green card stock. They and a flower that I found at the store along with a piece of the Twine that I tied into a bow are adhered to the top of the box. A super fun and simple project to make!

Happy Hump Day peeps! Another fun day was had at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! In the morning I ran out with Renee’s boyfriend John to get some more hooks, I have run out and used most of Renee’s extras! Oops! When I got back to the store Renee had her Kid’s Class where they made a fun little pocket book. Everyone had a nice time and pizza was enjoyed for lunch! Around 2:00 I got the text that I have been waiting for! I’m an Uncle again! Tristan Shelby Krieger made her way into the world! She was 9lbs 8oz and 21 inches long! Here she is…

    Tristan Shelby Krieger

With her uber chubby little cheeks! I think she is wondering why they put that hat on her! LOL! Her big brother Daniel is happy as can be and I reassured him that he is still my favorite! We played with his trucks when I got to my Parent’s and I got a big hug and a kiss and a I Wub You Untle when I left! Last night I went over and spent some time with Brian and Kim. We watched Me Before You, what a sad movie that was! It was good but really sad! By the time I got home from there it was 11:00 and time to start to think about calling it a night! Today I have to get ready for this month’s Card Class featuring Reverse Confetti! Fun!

After a week off we are back over on the Paper Craft Crew blog with their week’s challenge…

    PCCCS202 DT Sketch 7-13-2016

I sort of went down the first row! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of My Colors Copper. I partially heat embossed the Hero Arts Irregular Grid Background Stamp onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Soft Pink Ink. I had seen Yana Smakula do a similar thing with a card a few days ago and had to give it a try! The background is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All of my images are from the Hero Arts Color Layering For You Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam and the leaves are stamped in Green Apple Hybrid and Lime Green. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Foam Tape and E-Z Runner with a few loops of Natural Twine tucked underneath. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Copper Embossing Powder onto some Solar White 110lb, the left side is flagged and then it too is adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A couple Pretty Pink Posh Marigold and SIP Copper Sequins are added and the card is done! I do like that funky background, makes for a nice change don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a wild and fun Wednesday! 🙂

  • SIP Challenge 56 – Christmas in July!

SIP Challenge 56 – Christmas in July!

Another crazy Monday! The morning started off with a visit from Taylor and Kiera at 8:00AM! That’s a little too early for company! I do like to have my mornings to myself. I hurried to get ready and left the house around 9:00 to head over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Once there I settled in to get my Newsletter finished and out! It was done by 11:00! Yay! The rest of the day I spent making parts for upcoming projects. I need to get into the habit of doing that! Renee left a little early, she’s still not 100%. Once 7:00 rolled around it was time for me to go. It was in the 70’s which makes for a very nice top down ride home in the car! When I got to my Parent’s my little buddy Daniel was there along with my Brother and Erika. She thinks that today is the day! Fingers crossed that all goes well. After my little visit with them Heather came by and her and I ran to Target. She is going to have a procedure done on her back this morning. Fingers crossed for her too! I have a bunch of orders to get in for the store and some more projects to finish! Always a busy but great day!

Let’s see… Tuesday… ahh yes, that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

    SIP Theme 56 800

Christmas in July! I still think that it’s a bit too early for Holiday cards but I guess better early than when I usually start to make them, around November! The base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut a piece of Soft Sky to 5 1/4″ x 4″ and then used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals to cut out a window from it. Some Foam Tape is adhered to the back and then it’s adhered to the card. My Poinsettias are from one of last year’s My Monthly Hero Kits. I stamped them in Crimson Hybrid, Raspberry Jam, Red Royal, Butter Bar and Orange Soda for the flowers and Green Hills and Forever Green for the leaves. Some Glossy Accents is added over the flower centers and once they were dry I adhered them to the card with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. My greeting is form the same set and is stamped in Red Royal right in the center of the oval! It needed something else so, yup, you guessed it, I added some Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry Sequins! I do love the blue background for the nice red flowers and sentiment, really makes is soft but bold! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Christmas in July Challenge! Make sure and stop by the BLOG and check out my fellow Designers cards and enter your in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me! Have a great Tuesday! 🙂

    Mojo Monday 456

Oh yes, day two of the crop was just as much fun as the first day! I love sitting there and chatting with everyone! We do have a good time and lots of laughs! Today for lunch was yummy salad pizza and then a little treat… some ice cream with lots of toppings! When I left the store at 5:00 I headed over to see my friend Chantal! I haven’t seen her in almost a year! It was her granddaughter Chloe’s Birthday so I went over for dinner. There were some more peeps there and we had a very nice time! By the time I got home it was 9:00, I retrieved Winston from my Parent’s and finished up my card for today. I had started the card at the store just stamping the background. Sometime you just need to stamp and a background is a fun way to do just that! Today I have some more ordering to do for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, I’m running out of room! LOL!

It’s the start of another week and that means a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

    Mojo456

The base of today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Hero Arts You’re So Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pale Tomato, Dark Quartz, Soft Pink and Tide Pool onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The background is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. I then die cut a piece of Strawberry Slush with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares and Stitched Circles Lawn Cuts. A piece of Crisp Cantaloupe is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frames Lawn Cuts and is adhered to the square with Multi-Matte Medium. The square is then adhered to the card with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Tide Pool onto a piece of Solar White 110lb. I flagged the right side and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered in the upper left and lower right corners, keeping with the sketch! I love the different combination of colors for the background and the way that the sold card stock slightly mutes it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Deign Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you very much for starting yet another week off with me! • Moon Feathers Out of this World

Moon Feathers Out of this World

What a fun day at the store yesterday! I have to admit that the Crop weekends can be a really good time! We laugh a lot, especially when I post on Facebook that the music is draining the life out of me! I listen to all kinds of music but a day of Lite FM is like being in a never ending elevator ride! LOL! I finally got all caught up on my blog comments! YAY! Thanks to all of the people that left comments for the Hero Arts Blog Hop post! And to my regular peeps you have all been responded to! We can now resume our regular conversations! I had Chinese food for dinner with my Parents when I got home and Taylor and Kiera had Coldstone. Before I settled into the house for the evening I ran a few errands. The rest of the night was spent watching YouTube videos and making my card for today! Day two of the Crop will be in full swing when I get to the store this morning. More laughs for sure!

This card has been floating around in my head for a while so I decided that it was high time that it made an appearance! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed my greeting from the Altenew To the Moon Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of The Paper Cut Pluto Stardream Metallic that was sized to cover the entire card front. The moon is from the same set and is stamped in Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Moon Rock Crisp Ink. I stamped it again with the solid image using Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder to give it a nice glossy finish. To cut it out I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits. My feathers are cut from, shocker, Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeabilities Dies. I added a piece of Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to the back of the moon and tucked the feathers under it and adhered it to the card. To complete my outer space feel I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Gold, Sand and Charcoal Sequins with Multi-Matte Medium. Yes the moon looks a little odd with feathers hanging from it but it was in my head! I told you that it can be a little weird in there! LOL! I hope that you like my card for today! Thanks for indulging me with your visit! Have a sensational Sunday! 🙂

    Freshly Made Sketches 244

Hello and a very happy Saturday to you all! I guess that going to bed around 2:00AM isn’t such a good idea! My alarm went off at 6:30AM and I was awake… well… briefly, but I did one of those five more minutes things and ended up sleeping until 8:45! Oops! I still managed to get to work by 9:40 and I enjoyed my day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got caught up on a bunch of stuff in the morning and then my friend Sue came by around 2:00. We chatted with Renee for a bit and then went out and had lunch, some Panera! I got my favorite, tomato soup and grilled cheese! When we got back to the store we rearranged some things and placed some orders. Renee wasn’t feeling well so she left around 6:00 and Sue and I headed out around 6:50. When I got home I had spaghetti for dinner and then ran a few errands before relaxing for a bit watching some craft videos on YouTube. Today there is a crop at the store so I’m going to try and be crafty!

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

    Freshly Made Sketches 244

This card is actually the first card that I made when I got home on Thursday night! When I sat down to type my post I remembered about Fab Friday and then made that card! Hence the 2:00AM bed time! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut out an oval from a piece of The Paper Cut Amethyst Stardream Metallic with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Lawn Cuts. It’s adhere to the card with E-Z Runner. My flowers are from the Altenew Golden Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Jet Black, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris and Midnight Violet Crisp Inks. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with Foam Tape and Multi-Matte Medium in a cluster on the right of the oval. I stamped my greeting from the Altenew Beautiful Lady Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black on a strip of Solar White 110lb, cut a funky banner on the left and adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape. A single flower is adhered on the right and I added some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Pansy Purple, Orchid and Sparkling Clear Sequins along with a few Rhinestones for a little bling! We all know that it wouldn’t be jk card without a few sequins! LOL! I must say that I’m loving the loose sketch look of the flowers in the Golden Garden Set, especially in the purples! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for your continued visits! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

    Fab Friday 91

Even though Friday isn’t the end of the week for me it’s still my favorite day! We had a great Heat Embossing 101 Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! We played with some Hero Arts goodies to learn a few new tricks with that magic powder. Everyone left with a quick fun card and some neat new techniques! After class I headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! Stephanie was there and we just did our usual. Love getting to spend some time with my peeps! Today I need to get my butt in gear at work, I have a lot of projects that I need to get finished and more just keep piling up!

Today I’m over on the Fab Friday blog for our sketch challenge…

    Fab Fri 91 7-8-2016

I’m going to honest and say that I remembered about this at 1:00AM! Yikes! I really need to update that calendar more often! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Waves Next Level 3D Embossing Folder to emboss a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Multi-Purpose Glue. The panel is a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Test & Ledgers Paper Pad. I backed it with a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner, Fun Foam and Multi-Purpose Glue. The anchor is cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Anchors Away Inspire Die. I adhered it to the panel with Foam Tape. All of the flowers, leaves and berries are from the Altenew Peony Bouquet Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Ink and the leaves in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink with my Mini MISTI. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered into the anchor with Foam Tape and Dot Runner. My greeting is from the Altenew Beautiful lady Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Jet Black Crisp Ink and adhered to the anchor with more Foam Tape. I really think that anchor looks so cool with all of the flowers tucked into it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge! The weather… it’s very warm but I think that it’s just perfect! There is always a nice breeze by the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store due to our close proximity to the water. Some more orders arrived yesterday and they got entered and put out. My friend Robyn from Canada came in a got her very first Big Shot! I told her there is no turning back now! LOL! It was definitely a top down kind of day all day! It always makes any kind of ride in the car better, even the one home from the store! My Parent’s had a burger waiting for me when I got home and it was yummy! After dinner I ran over to see Heather. We just needed a night to ourselves! We did run out to BJ’s to pick up a few things. After a nice long chat I headed home to make my card for today. At the store I have my Heat Embossing 101 Class! You know how I like to heat emboss! They will be pro’s by the time we are finished!

The idea for my card for today popped into my head on the way home from Heather’s. It’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

    Paper Players #302

Ahh, it seems like forever since I made a Christmas card! I could almost feel the chill in the air as I crafted last night, or that may have been the air conditioner! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Snowy Backdrop Die to cut out part of my background from a piece of Black 110lb Card. It cut off the bottom so that’s where I decided that I would heat emboss my sentiment from the Hero Arts Joy to the World Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The background is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the greeting with Dot Runner. The skyline is cut from some, yup, you guessed it, Gold Mirror Card using the Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Die. I adhered that to the card with more Dot Runner, using the lower edge to cover the seam between the greeting and the top part of the background. My tree is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Hero Arts Lime Green, Green Hills and Forever Green with the final layer heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut it out and some Foam Tape holds it in place! A nice simple card that reminds me of the tree in Rockefeller Center at Christmas time! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Christmas in July challenge! Thank you for taking a little time to come by and see me today! I wish you a Merry… wait… too early! LOL! I wish you all a wonderful Thursday! 🙂

  • Vintage Yellow and Blue Flowers for Renee

Vintage Yellow and Blue Flowers for Renee

For a Tuesday that sure felt like a Monday! LOL! What a busy day indeed. It all started at 1:40AM, I woke up with a really bad stomach ache and headache. I took two Excedrin and the was sick, sat on the couch for an hour willing the headache away and then finally went back to bed and forced myself to go to sleep. Needless to say I woke up a little late! I still felt off but made my way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store on time. Funnily enough Renee was also not feeling well and we haven’t seen each other since Saturday. I didn’t eat anything all day, not hungry at all. A bunch of orders arrived and I got them all checked in and put out. Some of my friends stopped by and a bunch of customers came in to pick up some items that I had ordered for them. It was a hot one yesterday too, in the 90’s! Perfect weather for a nice ride home in the Convertible! When I got to my Parent’s my little buddy Daniel was there! I got to fix his firetruck as soon as I walked in and then we played cars for a bit. After I ate I ran a few errands and then just relaxed for a bit. Today I have a bunch of stuff to get done at the store including making my cards for this month’s class. Did you all take the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Blog Hop yesterday? There were some amazing projects and I was very happy to be with such talented artists! I hope I get to do it again!

Yesterday was Renee’s birthday! Happy Birthday Renee!! I gave her a fun bright card so that’s what I’m sharing with you today! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut to 3 3/4″ wide. Down the left side is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the the Impression Obsession Fancy Cutout Border Die. It’s adhered to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All of the flowers are from the Altenew Vintage Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the roses in Buttercream, Warm Sunshine and Caramel Toffee, for the blue ones I used Arctic, Caribbean Sky and Persian Blue, the leaves are stamped in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glade and Evergreen. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I placed them on the card and then used some Press ‘n Seal to pick them up. Dot Runner and Foam Tape is applied to the back and then they are pressed to the card and the Press ‘n Seal removed. My greeting is from the Altenew Super Script 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the wish in Caramel Toffee and the make a in Paper Bag. I thought that the gold on the “trellis” was enough bling so I added nothing else. I love the mix of the yellow and blue flowers against the gold! Renee loved the card and I hope that you like it too! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a whimsical Wednesday! 🙂

How cool is that? More on what you get in the kit below but first I have one more card to share with you!

All the time that I have been paying with this kit I have been seeing a Jellyfish in a jar! Well, today that is going to happen! To create my fun Birthday card I started by using a Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Soft Pool Ink to add color to a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Card Stock. For the jar I dug into my stash and pulled out the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped the jar in Soft Pool Ink. I then used the Coordinating Jar Frame Cuts to cut the jar out of the panel. I also tore a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and cut the jar out of a part of that too. The “sand” is then adhered to the bottom of the ink blended panel. To stamp the greeting I used Dolphin Ombre Ink and stamped it in the upper left corner. On the jar cut-out I stamped the Color Layering Jellyfish in Dolphin Ombre Ink and then heat embossed him in Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. In the lower left I stamped a few of the small Coral also in Dolphin Ombre Ink. Before continuing I used the ink blended panel to line up and adhere the jar cut out to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I added some acetate to the back of the ink blended panel and then die cut the Jar Frame Cut from a piece of Fun Foam. That is adhered to the back of the ink blended panel. Some of the flat sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Mermaid Exclusive Mix are added to the jar and the front panel is adhered to the card base. I stamped three of the starfish in the Dolphin Ombre Ink and cut them out with my Scissors. They are adhered to the card with Glue Dots. The card needed just a little something more so I added a few more of the Sequins and a few Sparkling Clear ones for little more sparkle! What a fun different birthday card to send to someone, don’t you think?!
