Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge 10

Good morning! I hope that the weather is better by you than it is here, it rained most of the day yesterday and it’s still not great out this morning. I had a nice dinner with my friend Heather and her parents last night and then we listened to some music for a bit. I love my peeps!

Today’s post is for this weeks Paper Craft Crew Design Team Challenge. This week we have a sketch…

I was thinking Christmas when I first saw the sketch but since I’m loving Halloween this year I went with that instead. The base of my card is Basic Black Card Stock. I used the Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on a piece of Crumb Cake for the background. A thin strip of Howlstooth & Scaringbone Designer Series Paper is adhered across the upper half. A piece of Tangerine Tango is cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies and pierced with the Festive Paper-Piercing Pack. The stamped images are from the Ghoulish Googlies Clear Mount Bundle.The bundle comes with the Stamp Set and the Designer Kit. I stamped the mummy in Crumb Cake and the bats in Basic Black and cut them out with my Paper Snips. They are all adhered to the label and card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used my Jewelry Tag Punch to punch out the Boo! from the Tiny Tags Clear Mount Stamp Set and also punched out a piece of Basic Black. They are attached to the card with a Neutrals Collection Brad. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Tangerine Tango and punched out with the Word Window Punch. It too is adhered to the card with Stampin Dimensionals. Mojo 261

Morning everyone! Did we all make it through Monday ok? I had card class last night which is always a good time. My daughter comes with me and Sandy and the other ladies are awesome. We always have a good laugh, it’s my favorite Monday of the month! Today’s post is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This week we have this sketch provided by Julee Tilman…

I have been trying to incorporate some different materials into my cards lately and today I used some burlap. The base of the card is Early Espresso Card Stock. I kept the background simple, just a piece of Crumb Cake with the greeting stamped in Early Espresso from the Chock Full of Cheer Stamp Set in the upper right corner. The large Early Espresso circle is cut out with the retired Circle Scissor Pro. On top of that is a piece of Cherry Cobbler cut out with the Delicate Doilies Large Sizzlits Die. The left side is cut off and it is adhered to the card with SNAIL. For the flagged element I used a piece of Island Indigo and some Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper. Next, I adhered a piece of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon around the back of the Crumb Cake piece with some Sticky Strip and adhered the whole panel to the card. I punched a piece of Island Indigo out with the 2 3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and used the Circles #2 Bigz Die to cut out a piece of burlap and adhered it to the scallop circle with more Sticky Strip. The ornament, from the Ornament Keepsakes Stamp Set, is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and I cut it out with the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies. Both are then adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. For the bow I used more Cherry Cobbler Seam Biding Ribbon and the fork method to tie it, a Mini Glue Dot holds it in place. I love the layers and the burlap gives it a little unexpected texture. I hope that you enjoyed this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge card. Paper Players #115 – All 9!

Good Monday morning! I hope that everyone had a nice weekend. I was in Manhattan most of the day yesterday visiting a bunch of friends and dropping off an order. I love Manhattan, especially when the weather cools down into the upper 60’s. My friend Kim and I had dinner at this restaurant called Nick’s on 94th and 2nd Ave. The food there is excellent, if you are ever in the area I definitely recommend it!

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Players Challenge. This week Anne Marie has given us this Tic-Tac-Toe challenge…

I looked at it for a while and just couldn’t decide which ones I wanted to do, so I did all nine! The base of my card is So Saffron Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Baja Breeze with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for my background. The cake is from the Love & Laughter Stamp set and is stamped in Basic Gray on So Saffron. I cut it a little longer and wrapped a piece of Primrose Petals 3/8″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon around the bottom before I adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The candle is punched form the Cupcake Builder Punch from Basic Gray and Primrose Petals and adhered with 2-Way Glue. The flags are Basic Gray and Primrose Petals. The trees are from the Merry Minis Stamp Set, stamped in Primrose Petals and Basic Gray, and are punched out with the Merry Minis Punch Pack and adhered to the flags with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons are adhered to the flags with Mini Glue Dots and all have a Basic Jewels Rhinestone in the middle. The Happy Birthday greeting is from the Memorable Moments Stamp Set and is stamped in Basic Gray. The Congratulations greeting is from the Love & Laughter Stamp Set and the Merry Christmas is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and is stamped in Primrose Petals. The “&” is from the Family Reunion Stamp Set and is also stamped in Primrose Petals. All of the greetings are adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. So let’s see… Christmas, Sparkle/Bling, Ribbon, Buttons, Wedding, Yellow & Gray, Red & Blue, Element repeated in 3’s and Birthday… Check! Fab Friday 3

Good morning peeps! How is the weekend going so far? Mine is going great! I made some cards yesterday and then went to see my friends. We had a nice time and celebrated Brian’s birthday. Heather made some amazing little cupcakes and there were some great brownies too!

Today’s post is for the Fab Friday Challenge. This time we have a sketch…

I am feeling the fall weather creep up on us so I went with a fall themed card. The base of the card is Island Indigo Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Lucky Limeade with the Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and adhere it to the card with SNAIL. The flagged banners are cut from the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper and are also adhere with SNAIL. I used the Autumn Accents Bigz Die to cut out the large leaf from a piece of Crumb Cake. My Stamp-a-ma-jig is used to get the image from Tweet Leaves, stamped in Early Espresso, perfectly centered on the cutout. The greeting is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp Set and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple and cut out with the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. I used some Stampin’ Dimensionals to mount both the leaf and the greeting to the card. I hope you enjoyed my card f0r Fab Friday Challenge this time. Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge 9

Good morning! How are you all today? I’m good, lots of things to get accomplished this weekend. I’m glad that I like being busy! LOL! It rained here yesterday and looks a little gloomy this morning but I can’t complain, we have had really nice weather for a while. Is everyone ready for the fall?

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week’s sketch is a nice clean and simple one…

I’ll be needing some birthday cards so that’s what I decided to make. The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. I took a piece of Crumb Cake and used my Color Spritzer and a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to spritz a little “sand”. The greeting is from the Bring On the Cake Stamp Set and is stamped in Midnight Muse. The panel is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the shells from the By the Seashore Stamp Set in Midnight Muse and Soft Suede and used my Paper Snips to cut them out. Some more Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere them to the card and it’s finished! Super clean and simple, not to mention quick and easy. I love the simplicity of the card, it will make a great masculine birthday card. It would also make a great workshop card. I hope that you like this weeks Paper Craft Crew Challenge card. Freshly Made Sketches #54

Hello everyone! It’s Thursday and that means only one more day until the weekend! We can do it, I know we can! LOL! Today’s post is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. This week Jennifer T. has provided us with this sketch…

I have been wanting to use the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set that I just recently got and I thought this would be the perfect sketch! The base of my card is Early Espresso Card Stock. I took a piece of Sahara Sand and punched out two pieces of card stock with the Ornament Punch. I adhered them to the Sahara Sand with temporary adhesive and used the Stampin’ Spritzer filled with a mixture of Early Espresso Re-Inker, water and alcohol to mist over it. After it dried I removed the ornaments and had the neat masked effect that you see on the card. I used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and paper-Piercing Tool to pierce around the edges. A piece of Very Vanilla is randomly stamped with the pine needles from the Watercolor Winter Stamp Set in Gumball Green. I adhered it to the spritzed piece with Snail and used some Sticky Strip to attach a piece of Gumball Green 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon around the back. The piece is then mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the ornament and the merry christmas from the Delightful Decorations Stamp Set in Primrose Petals and punched them out with the Ornament Punch and the 3/4″ Circle Punch. They too are adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Basic Jewels Pearls, whenever I use pearls I always think of Ann Schach! I really like the masking technique and the color combination. PPA 143

Hey everyone, how is it going? Things are pretty good on my end. I am missing my cousins. I feel the nip of fall in the air and I’m not thinking that I like it. I think I am meant to live where it doesn’t really get that cold, maybe Florida or Arizona. Oh well, I couldn’t leave Long Island, I would miss my peeps way too much! 🙂

Today’s post is for the Pals Paper Arts Challenge. This time we have a nice clean and simple sketch…

I went with a Christmas card with traditional colors but I only used two colors for the whole card. The base of the card is Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used a piece of Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper for the background. The panel on the right is embossed with the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped the greeting from the More Merry Messages Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler. The piece under that is from the Cheerful Christmas Wheel and is also stamped in Cherry Cobbler. I used a piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon and a Round Designer Ribbon Slide that is adhered around the back with Sticky Strip. The ornament is from the Chock Full of Cheer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Cherry Cobbler and mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the monochromatic look if the card and the More Merry Messages Stamp Set is becoming a holiday favorite of mine. I hope that you enjoyed this Pals Paper Arts Challenge card. Mojo 260

Good morning everyone and how are we today? I’m a little bummed because I took my cousin’s and uncle to the airport last night. I will miss them, we some good times and a lot of laughs. Hopefully I will see them again very soon! Today’s post is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. This week Julee Tilman has given us this round or square choice…

I had a good idea of what I was going to use as soon as I saw the sketch. The base of my card is Midnight Muse Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Very Vanilla with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The next layer is a piece of Midnight Muse and a small piece of Brushed Silver Metallic Paper. The main layer consists of a piece of Summer Starfruit that I used the Scallop Trim Corner and Edge punches on. I then used the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and Paper Piercing Tool to pierce around the edge of a piece of Midnight Muse. I punched out a piece of Summer Starfruit with the 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch and pierced the scallops. A piece of Very Vanilla is stamped with a stamp from the Mixed Medley Host(ess) Stamp Set in Versa-Mark, heat embossed with some Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder and punched out with the 1 1/4″ Scallop Circle Punch. The Merry Christmas, also from the Mixed Medley Set, is stamped in Midnight Muse and punched out with the 3/4″ Circle Punch. They are all adhered to each other and the card with Stampin’ DImensionals. I used a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and some Midnight Muse 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon with a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper that I punched out with the circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack for a little bling. Midnight Muse and Summer Starfruit are definitely one of my favorite color combinations. I also love the Brushed Silver Metallic Paper. Paper Players #114

I wanted to keep this card nice and simple, I have to start thinking about making my own Christmas cards and this one would be easy to duplicate. The base of the card is Primrose Petals Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Early Espresso with the Fancy Fan Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The flagged pieces are from the Candlelight Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso from the More Merry Messages Stamp Set and backed it with a piece of Primrose Petals. The ornament is from the Keepsake Ornaments Stamp Set and is also stamped in Early Espresso and cut out with the Holiday Ornaments Framelits Collection. Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #8

Happy Sunday! I had a great time at the wedding yesterday with all of my family. The ceremony went very well, I was only a little nervous for the first sentence and after that I was fine. My brother and his new bride told me that I did a very good job. I’m looking forward to officiating another ceremony! They call me Justin-of-the Peace! LOL!

Today’s post is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge. This week we have a sketch…

I wanted to use some In-Colors so this is what I came up with. The base of my card is Crumb Cake Card Stock. I used the Color Spritzer Tool and a Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to spritz some color on the front. A piece of Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper is on the bottom half of the card. I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies to cut the top of a piece of Raspberry Ripple and adhered that along the top edge of the DSP. A strip of Very Vanilla is stamped with the Measuring Stick Stampin’ Around Wheel Stamp in Summer Starfruit and adhered on top of the DSP and pinked pieces to hide the seam. The greeting image is from the Friendship Preserves Stamp Set and is stamped in Raspberry Ripple and again in Summer Starfruit. I cut them both out with the Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies. With the Summer Starfruit one I cut off the top and bottom pieces and adhered them to the Raspberry Ripple one with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then adhered them to the card. I love the pop of the Raspberry Ripple against the neutrals of the Summer Starfruit and Crumb Cake. I hope you enjoyed my design team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenege.
