Fab Friday 33 & Sneak Peek

Friday! Friday! FRIDAY!!!!! Yes, kids, it’s Friday. You know I loves me some Friday! And boy am I glad that this week is done! The weekend holds a lot of stuff for me to do, though. I need to put up my tree, make my Christmas cards, work on my presentation and attend a party on Saturday night. Good luck to me! What’s on for your weekend?

The best part about this Friday is that it’s Fab Friday! This week we have a nice simple sketch…

My card is very clean and simple compared to what you’ve seen on my blog lately. The base of my card is Sahara Sand Card Stock. I used the Banners Framelits Dies* to cut out two pieces of Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper** and two pieces of Crisp Cantaloupe to go behind the face of my “ribbon”. My stamped image is from the Starburst Sayings Stamp Set*, stamped in Summer Starfruit and cut out with the Starburst Framelits Dies*. I stamped it again in Pool Party and cut out the word “world” and popped it up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. A piece of Basic Black cut out with the same framelits goes behind and that completes the card! I hope you enjoyed my simple card with some more sneak peeks for you today! Mojo 323 & Sneak Peek

Work was… dare I say… pleasant?! I did have to take a little 30 mile ride to East Setauket for a little media set up, but again, out of the office is always a good thing! It was rainy and cold here all day yesterday and we are supposed to get some snow here today. Ugh, that’s all I’ll say about that. I had my crafty time so that makes everything better! Love playing with new goodies!

Today’s card is for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch challenge provided by Julee Tilman…

I used some new goodies from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration Catalog and some from the 2014 Occasions Catalog! The base of today’s card is Pool Party Card Stock. My strip of paper on the left is from the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper Pack**. I adhered it to a piece of Sahara Sand for extra stability and wrapped some Linen Thread around it before adhering it to the base. A piece of Gold Foil Sheet cut out with the Starburst Framelits Dies* is the first layer for my stamped images. Next up is a piece of Whisper White that I punch out with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. All of the stamped images are from the Petal Parade Stamp Set** and are stamped in Pistachio Pudding, Crisp Cantaloupe and Summer Starfruit. I used the 1 3/4″ and 1 1/4″ Circle Punches to punch them out and some Stampin’ Dimensionals hold them in place. My greeting is from the Just Sayin’ Stamp Set* and is stamped in Sahara Sand and cut out with the Word Bubble Framelits Dies*. I love the colors in the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper* and I still can’t get enough of the gold! Thank you very much for stopping by to see my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch challenge. Pals Paper Arts 182

Yesterday was a fun day! I went to bed Thursday night at 12:30, got up at 4:15 was at work at 6:15, I told my boss around 9:15 that I wasn’t going to make the whole day. I left work at 1:00 and came home and passed out for four hours, I felt much better after my nap! LOL! I had some dinner, crafted and even watched a movie! Not a bad day after all! I’ll be going to CT later on to see Andrew and Satellite Lane solo, Kim can’t make it. I might be able to convince Danielle to come, or endure four hours of solitude in a car, I’ll let you know how that goes!!

Today I have some more sneak peeks including some goodies from the 2014 Sale-A-Bration Catalog! The base of the card is Elegant Eggplant Card Stock. My background is the new Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die* and is cut from a piece of Very Vanilla. The greeting is from the You’re Lovely Stamp Set** and is stamped in Elegant Eggplant on Smoky Slate and cut out with the Deco Labels Framelits. The cluster of flowers is stamped in Elegant Eggplant on Smoky Slate and Very Vanilla using the Petite Petals Stamp Set* and punched out with the Petite Petals Punch*. They are all adhered to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I absolutely love the new Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die. It cuts out enough of the color you use while still letting the background peek through, it’s awesome!
