Just as I thought, it was a very busy day at work. Definitely a Monday. It was also really overcast and not that warm either, tomorrow, rain. At least the weekend was nice right?! I was also reminded by Marissa that we are off on Monday! YAY! Three day weekend, one of my favorite kinds of weekends! LOL! After work I came home and made a card and then took a ride with Taylor. We stopped at Target, because you can never go to Target enough, right?! LOL! When I returned home I watched some of the performances from the Billboard Music Awards. I also watched Sam’s acceptance speech done on large cards. A speedy recovery to him, I can’t wait to hear him sing again!

Today, I have my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

I wanted to play with the new colors so I took my inspiration from the NEW Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper Stack. The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of Bermuda Bay. On the lower part is a piece of that very Cherry on Top Designer Series Paper. I adhered a piece of Bermuda Bay on some Fun Foam across the bottom and on top of that is a piece of Pool Party that I flagged both of the ends on. Across the top of the card are three more flagged pieces of Pool Party, also adhered to Fun Foam. All of the images are from the Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set Nature’s Perfection. They are all heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, the butterflies on Crushed Curry and the flower on Watermelon Wonder. Some Foam Tape adheres them to the card. The greeting is from the NEW Host Stamp Set Floral Wings and is stamped in Island Indigo. A few Doodlebug Sequins are adhered to the flower with Crystal Effects and complete the card. I do really like the new 2015-2017 In-Colors, they are a nice mix of bright and subtle! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch challenge! Mojo 397

I’m getting a late start to my Saturday! The past three days have been busy and I guess I needed to recover a bit! It was another beautiful day here yesterday. Marissa and I even snuck out for a little Starbucks in the morning. After work I headed home once again to retrieve Taylor before going to Scrap-A-Latte to get ready for last night’s card class – take two. It was another great class with Reverse Confetti! Lots of fun peeps including Andrew, Brian, Sandy and Dina! We all had a nice time and they again really enjoyed the cards! Here are some pictures from the class…

The card that I have for you today is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

I had the urge to use some of the goodies from this year’s Sale-A-Bration, lord knows that I have enough of it left! LOL! My card base is the usual. The background is a piece of Sahara Sand that I cut out with the stitched frame from the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Bundle of Shapes Dies. Down the middle is a piece of the Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper. A piece of Ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack goes around the lower half and then the panel is adhered to the card with SNAIL. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles to cut out another piece of the Best Year Ever DSP and some Whisper White. The greeting is from the Best Day Ever Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Calypso Coral Stampin’ Emboss Powder. They are both adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I flagged a piece of Soft Suede and Crushed Curry and adhered them in the top left. Finally, some Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine and Espresso Sequins are adhered randomly with some Crystal Effects. I love the soft colors in the DSP and the repeated circles on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge! Freshly Made Sketches 184

Hello there my friends and a happy Saturday to you! I had a good day yesterday, work was quiet, went to Monty’s for lunch with Robin and had a Caesar Salad slice that was yummy! After work I came home and had some dinner with Taylor and my parents then came to my house and started working on some projects instead of having a movie night. I Skyped with Andrea for a bit and then FaceTimed with Michael. I worked on a few cards while he worked on an adorable baby book. Hopefully he will share it on his blog soon! This morning I’ll be finishing up some stuff and then heading over to Scrap-A-Latte for a bit to see what National Scrapbooking day is all about! It’s supposed to be really nice here today and tomorrow! I’m looking forward to a few rides with the top down! What are you all up to today?

My card that I have for you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I stayed really true to the sketch! My card starts with a base of Whisper White Card Stock cut to 4″ wide. My background is a piece of Sahara Sand, I put some Sweet Sadie Washi Tape down the left side and wrapped it around the back before I adhered it to the card base. The strip of paper is from the “Vintage” Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration and is adhered to the card with a piece of Foam Tape behind it. I dug up the tag from the very “Vintage” Stamp-A-Tag Kit and heat embossed the greeting from the Painted Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Crushed Curry Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Twine is tied in a bow leaving the tails extra long and the tag is adhered to the card with some Foam Tape. Finally, a few Pretty Pink Posh Tangerine Sequins are randomly adhered to finish off the card with a little sparkle. I love the simple modern feel to the card thanks to the DSP! SUO Challenges 121

Does it seem like the days just melt into one another for you or is it just me?! Time is just moving along at a rapid pace! It was sunny and not too windy today which was nice. We are supposed to get back up into the 70’s later in the week! Top down weather is just around the corner! Last night after dinner Taylor came home with me and she made a card in the kitchen while I Skyped with Andrea and crafted in the Stampin’ Galley. We ran to Michaels to pick up a container to put a bunch of my cards in for Bill to pick up tomorrow and donate for a raffle prize. Taylor has been making a lot of cards lately and I think that I mentioned that she is going to start a blog of her own. However, we are having a little trouble coming up with a name for it so I thought who better to ask than you guys?! You helped me with the name of my craft space! If you have an idea for a name please leave a comment! Thanks in advance for your help!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Mother’s Day challenge. It’s coming up so this will be a perfect excuse to get started a little early! My card starts off with a base of Whisper White Card Stock. I adhered a strip of paper from the Something Borrowed Designer Series Paper Pack off center to the left. For the tag I used the Ornate Tag Topper Punch on some more Whisper White. I stamped the flower from the Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, the stem is Pear Pizzaz and Mossy Meadow. A piece of Hemp Cord is tied through the top and left extra long. The tag is adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped my greeting from the Crazy About You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark on Sahara Sand and heat embossed it in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A combination of Stampin’ Dimensionals and SNAIL adhere them to the card. I love the simplicity of the card and I think the Lotus Blossom looks really cool in those soft muted colors! OSAT Mother’s Day Blog Hop

Hello my peeps and a very happy Thursday to you! Today I’m participating in the second blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. The focus this month is on Mother’s Day! Soon it will be that time of year to show our wonderful Mother’s, Grandmother’s Aunt’s and whoever else in your life that has been like a Mother to you how much we love them! This time I’m all about the gold! It’s everywhere in design and decorating lately and who couldn’t use a little shine?! If you have arrived here from Martie Hillyer’s blog, welcome! Didn’t she have some fun projects?! I have three cards for you today!

The first card is an eclectic collection of elements but I like when you can make them work together on a card! My card base is Whisper White Card Stock. I stamped the Hardwood Background Stamp in Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake for my background. The frame is a piece of Blushing Bride that I cut out using two of the Lawn Fawn Large and Small Stitched Rectangles. I found an old Recollections stamp that I heat embossed on Vellum with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder for the ledger paper. For the five hearts along the bottom I used a die from the Circle Card Thinlits and some Gold Glimmer Paper. My “string” is a piece of Very Vanilla That is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills Dies. The little pocket is cut out from Vellum using the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Coin Envelope Die. I heat embossed the greeting on it from the Lovely Amazing You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. A piece of Very Vanilla with the corners rounded and a hole punched in it so I could thread some Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord though the top. The heart is from the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and is stamped in Rose Red. The grid and tiny envelope are adhered to the card with SNAIL and the hearts with Stampin’ Dimensionals. A scattering of Hazel & Rub The Makery Think Pink Sequins and Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins complete the card! I really do love the eclectic feel to the card and the little envelope with the tag is so neat!

My second card uses some new dies that I got from Ellen Hutson. The base is Whisper White Card Stock. I cut out the background using the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangles from a piece of Whisper White. I used the Essential by Ellen Bold Blossoms Stand Alone Dies to cut out the leaves and flowers from Brushed Silver Metallic and Brushed Gold Metallic Card Stock. The love is cut out using the Essentials by Ellen You Rock Die from Gold Foil Sheet. My leaves, small flowers and love are adhered with Multi-Purpose Glue and the large flower with pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals. The panel is adhered to the card with a piece of fun foam to lift it up. A scattering of Simon Says Stamp Sparkle and Shine Sequins give it a little glimmer. I love the simplicity of the card and I think that it would also work well for a wedding!

My last card is a tall and skinny one! The base is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of Pistachio Pudding. I used another piece of Whisper White to heat emboss the greeting from the Painted Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. Down the left side is a piece of Pinkfresh Studio Peach and Mint Ombre Airmail Washi Tape. The panel is adhered to the card with a piece of fun foam in between. My large butterfly is cut out from Crisp Cantaloupe using the Butterflies Thinlits. The two smaller butterflies are from the Nature’s Perfection Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum. My butterflies are all adhered to the card with some Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Lime Sorbet and Tangerine Sequins with a few gold ones are randomly adhered to the background. To give the large butterfly some extra sparkle I brushed it with my Wink Of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. I really like that washi tape and the Wink of Stella looks so cool in person!

Pals Paper Arts 245

I’m a little early for a Saturday! That’s because I’m off to Allentown, PA today with my friend Sue to go to the Heirloom Productions Rubber Stamp and Paper Arts Festival. I’m really looking forward to seeing all of the crafty goodness that will be there! I will have a full report tomorrow and hopefully lots of pictures! Yesterday was a pretty quiet day. Little Daniel was at my parent’s when I got there after work and he was his usual mischievous self! Yesterday’s big attraction was the vertical blinds and how much noise he could make with them! Even when he is being a little terror he is still pretty cute! He got a new haircut too, here it is!

When I came home I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley and completely got lost in there! It was 10:30 before I knew it! I have to say that I do enjoy when I can just sit and create and not think about anything else! What are your plans for the weekend?!

Today’s card that I have for you is for this week’s Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge…

I wanted to do some inking, haven’t done that in a while! The card base is Whisper White Card Stock and the background is a piece of Brushed Gold Card Stock. I used a piece of paper from the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration. Can you believe that Sale-A-Bration is almost over?!?! If there are any products that you haven’t gotten and still want you have a few more days! I took my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Night of Navy Ink to cover most of the paper. I then used a little of the Encore Gold Metallic to fill in where there were some lighter spots. My stars are a die from the Circle Card Thinlits and are cut out from the DSP. A piece of Vellum is wrapped around the top portion of the paper and then some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere it to the card. I used the Simon Says Stamp Whishing Die to cut out some more Brushed Gold twice and adhered them together and then to the Vellum with Multi-Purpose Glue. I tried to take a close up of the gold in with the blue, it’s a little blurry but I wish that you could see it in person, it looks so cool! SUO Challenges 119

Yesterday was pretty good for a Monday, a meeting and work and pizza with Robin for lunch! Last night was card class at Scrap-A-Latte and it was an excellent time as always! Love spending time with all of these awesome people! Her are a few pictures from the class…

That’s Sue and I, we are heading to Allentown, PA on Saturday for a stamp show!

And there I am with the best daughter in the whole world!! She is also a great helper!

Tonight I’m off to the movies with Andrew to see Insurgent! Really looking forward to that!

Today I’m over on the SUO Challenges blog for our Fun Folds challenge. My card isn’t a traditional “fun fold” but it’s not your usual card either. I used a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe and the Circle Card Thinlits to make my base. The flower is that amazing Lotus Blossom from the Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe. I cut it out with my Paper Snips and adhered it to a piece of Brushed Gold that is cut out with the Circles Collection Framelits and then adhered to the card. I made my belly band from a piece of Calypso Coral. The “thanks” is from the Crazy About You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I punched out another piece of Brushed Gold with the 3/4″ Circle Punch to back the butterfly that is from the Butterfly Basics Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder. I cut it out with the Butterfly Thinlits and adhered it to the circle and the band with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The greeting on the inside is from the Lotus Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Calypso Coral. I used the 2″ Circle Punch to punch it out. A very simple but I think quite elegant card! I hope that you like my card for the SUO Challenges Fun Folds challenge. Fab Friday 60

Yes, this is the third post in two days! I had the Control Freaks Blog Tour which started last night and continues today, if you are looking for that click HERE. Today is Fab Friday and that’s what this post is for. I stayed home from work today, not really feeling great and I had a headache when I woke up this morning. We are also supposed to get up to six inches of snow today, just when you thought it was over! Because of the snow the card class at Scrap-A-Latte has been moved to Monday night. I still went there last night to prep for it though. I always love seeing Renee and the other peeps that are there! I also picked up some goodies! I hardly ever leave there without something! After the scrapbook store Heather called and I went and met her and her boyfriend George at On the Border for some Mexican food. It was quite good and it was nice to spend time with the both of them. Today I will be laying low and taking some naps to try and perk myself back up!

Like I said it’s Fab Friday and this week we have a simple sketch for you…

I had fun with the sketch and even used some of the new goodies that I got from the scrapbook store yesterday! My card base is Whisper White Card Stock. On the left are two pieces of paper from the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack. The frame is cut from a piece of Smoky Slate using the Mama Elephant Polaroid Fun Creative Cuts. I used a piece of vellum from the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack and colored the leaves in with my Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Write Marker. The flower is form the Nature’s Perfection Stamp Set and is heat embossed with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Emboss Powder along with the butterfly. I colored the back of both with my Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker and cut the flower out with my Paper Snips, the butterfly is punched out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. They are both adhered to the card with Kool Tack Clear Foam. The greeting is a piece of Blackberry Bliss cut out with the Mama Elephant Smile Creative Cuts. Yes, I used some Ultra Thick Clear Embossing Powder to give it that licorice look! I’m totally addicted to it! A few Hazel & Ruby The Makery Shine and Sparkle and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered to one of the DSP panels with Crystal Effects. I adhered the greeting to the card with Multi-Purpose Glue and that completes the card! I love the Hazel & Ruby Sequins, they have a vintage silver look to them and well, the clear embossed die cut, we know how I feel about that! LOL! Mojo 389

Hi there! How was Monday? Mine was good, my friend Robin was back from vacation so we did lunch and then had some surprise birthday ice cream cake for her! After dinner I talked to Andrea for bit on Skype and then ran over to Brian and Kim’s. Brian is trying to decide what MacBook he wants. He is convinced that in this day and age of the cloud needs a huge hard drive in the computer. I told him not so any more. We will continue the discussion later in the week. Taylor came over when I got home and she was watching TV and then when the commercials came on she would watch something on her iPhone. It was like media overload! I retreated to the Stampin’ Galley to make today’s card to keep my sanity! LOL! Oh and a little update on Pinterest, I passed 100,000 followers on Monday!! That is just crazy!!

And today’s card is for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

The card base is Whisper White Card Stock. My background is a piece of Coastal Cabana on the top and some Best Year Ever Designer Series Paper on the bottom. They are both cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. Across the middle is a piece of ribbon from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack. It’s adhered around the back with Sticky Strip before I adhered it to the base. I cut out a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares and adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The hello is also a Simon Says Stamp Die and is cut out from a piece of Coastal Cabana along with the stitched star. I heat embossed them with Ultra Thick Embossing Powder from Ranger. The hello is adhered with Multi-Purpose Glue and the star with a Stampin’ Dimensional. A bright simple quick card that I hope would make anyone’s day a little better! I really do love the look of the clear heat embossing, it gives the pieces a nice acrylic look! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch challenge. Melon Nature’s Sheer Perfection

I made the most of a rainy day! I spent some time in the Stampin’ Galley in the morning and around noon I headed over to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte. She had a crop in progress when I got there and I got to see bunch of peeps. I went there to turn in my cards for the card class on Friday. I’m supposed to have them 2 weeks before and she said that she wanted to be mad at me but the cards were so good that she couldn’t be! LOL! Yay! I spoke with Michael for a bit and then came back home. I stopped by my parents and we had Boston Market for dinner. I was good and had a salad! When I got home I Skyped with Eva for a while and Taylor came by. See, made the most of a rainy day! Today I’m off to Manhattan to see my friend Kim’s future apartment! That’s going to fun! 🙂

When I sat down to make my card for today I decided that I wanted to use a color that I haven’t used in a while. After some consideration I settled on Melon Mambo. I used Whisper White Card Stock for my base and covered the front in a piece of Melon Mambo. The background is a piece of the Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum, I heat embossed the greeting from the Painted Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder and adhered it to the background with 2-Way Glue. A piece of Brushed Gold is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Frames Die and also adhered with 2-Way Glue. The flower and the butterfly are from the Nature’s Perfection Stamp Set and are both heat embossed in Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Watercolor Paper. I used Melon Mambo Re-Inker mixed with water and a brush to paint the images and then cut the flower out with my Paper Snips and the butterfly is punched out with the Elegant Butterfly Punch. Some Stampin’ Dimensionals adhere them to the card. You know there has to be a little bling and today’s is some Simon Says Stamp Sparkle and Shine Sequins adhered with Crystal Effects. I also gave the flower and the butterfly a liberal brushing with my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen. I love that the flower in the stamp set matches the flowers in the vellum and I took a closer picture of the flower so you could see the subtle sparkle that the Wink of Stella adds!
