Paper Players 368

Hi there my friends and a happy Monday to you from rainy Long Island! I had a very nice weekend starting on Friday by picking up Jim’s new couch and setting it up in his den. Saturday he came by and we worked on the kitchen cabinets. It’s a lot more work than I originally anticipated but he was a huge help and we got a lot done! Still a lot more to go but we’ll get there! Yesterday was rainy and windy, one of those sit on the couch and watch TV kind of days. This morning I’ll be heading over to see Heather for a bit, can’t wait to get out of the house! LOL! 😀

I got up this morning and made my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I went down the first column! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Tropical Sea cut to 4″ wide. I stamped the dots from the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set In Yeti Ink. The tree is cut from Silver Glitter Card using the Concord & 9th Trim the Tree Dies. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Ornamental Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of 65lb Vellum. I adhered the tree to the background and then the Vellum around the back before adding it to my card base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finish the card! Teal and Silver make a pretty nice holiday combo and I love that big sparkly tree! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for staring your week off here with me! Have an awesome Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 308

A rainy dreary morning here on Long Island but I had a very nice day yesterday! It was fun to see Ella and Tom. Lunch with my friend Kim was great and the weather was perfect! Taylor retrieved me from the station and dropped me off at home. Mum didn’t know what to make for dinner so I ran to the store with her and then the evening was finished with an early Thirsty Thursday and a late night trip to Target! I got up with the intentions of making my card this morning but I have been reading the new Dan Brown book Origins and can’t put it down! It’s fantastic! I have some cleaning and laundry to do this morning and then who knows?! 😀

I did finally get a card made and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut to cut out a piece of DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper. After adhering a strip of Smoky Slate across the lower half of the card I added the frame. My butterfly is cut from some Gold Glitter Card using the Concord & 9th Floral & Flutter Dies. To adhered that to the card I used a little piece of 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies and is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Card and adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I do so enjoy making a card using only dies ever so often, changes it up a bit! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for stopping by! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 120 – Colors!

A rainy day here yesterday. I had to take Mum to the dentist in the morning and then Jim came by for a while. We ran to Target and got all caught up. After dinner Taylor stopped by, oh how I love my child! She spent most of the time here watching YouTube videos on her phone! I have some places to take my Parents today and some cleaning to do, a fun Tuesday! LOL! 😀

It is time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and that’s always fun…

A timely trio of colors! I love to make a card with a stamped background and the best sets to do that with are the ones with little images. I used the Hero Arts Halloween Trimmings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set with Black, Orange Soda and Lime Green Ink to stamp my images directly onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is also from that set and is cut from a piece of Black 110lb and Silver Glitter Card. I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere them to the card, slightly offset, and it’s finished! A fun and simple Halloween card, maybe for my little buddy Daniel! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! The BLOG has some more inspiration from the rest of the Team so be sure to check it out! We hope that you will play along and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting with me today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Grateful Amethyst Leaf – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Happy Thursday peeps! I had a nice day yesterday with Sue. We got a lot accomplished and went out and had a nice lunch. There is always more to do so I’ll be heading back over again some time next week, I do love a productive day! Taylor stopped by in the evening and we had dinner with my Parents and after that some TV, binge watching Arrow at the moment and really liking it! Today I’ll catch up on This is Us and maybe I’ll get to some of the cabinet doors! 😀

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! We featured and Ink Only Challenge for last month so I did a little ink blending on today’s card! One of my all time favorite images is the leaf from the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock. I used the Coordinating Die to cut out the negative from a piece of Masking Paper and used my Mini Ink Blending Tools and some Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch and Dusty Concord Distress Ink to color it in. After I removed the Mask I added the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine is spattered over the card and while that dried I cut out the grateful from a piece of Gold Glitter Card and adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I love the purple and blue hues in the gold leaf and never underestimate the effect of a little ink spatter!

I hope that you like the card for my October Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on October 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 119 – Card Maker’s Choice!

You never know what the day will hold! I had a very busy morning yesterday, I helped Jim with a few things that he needed to get done and then worked on some of my own stuff. Isn’t it nice that I take care of my friends before me?! LOL! After lunch I ran a few errands and then Taylor came by, we had dinner with my Parent’s and watched the Good Doctor. I highly recommend it, it was fantastic! This morning I have to go and pick up my Dad, he’s dropping off his car to be fixed and then I have a bunch of stuff to work on! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

Sometimes you just love a piece of paper so much you want to show it off and that’s what today’s card is all about! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of paper from the First Edition Paper Wild at Heart 6×6 Pad. My leaf and acorn are cut from Tangelo Twist and Chocolate Chip using the Hero Arts Autumn Icons Fancy Dies. The thanks is cut from a piece of Gold Glitter Card and another piece of Chocolate Chip using the Hero Arts Thanks Stamp & Cut. They are all adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive, with the thanks offset. Just a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done. I love that piece of paper! You can see the great texture that it has and the fun woodgrain! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for visiting! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

OSAT September Blog Hop – Throwback Thursday!

We have had nice Summer like weather for the past two days, it got up into the 80’s and was nice and sunny too! I went over to see my friend Sue during the day to help with some of the Etsy orders! If you haven’t checked out her store you can by clicking HERE! There is a ton of fun stamping goodness with more being added all the time! When I got home around 5:00 Taylor stopped by for a bit and then I went over to see Heather. We ran up to IKEA to get a few things and then sat and chatted in her backyard. Tonight I’m headed into Manhattan to see Kinky Boots with my friend Kim. She got the tickets for my Birthday! That should be loads of fun! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Marisa Gunn’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Throwback Thursday Theme! I base my card on one that I did a while ago. You can see it below…

To start I stamped the images from the Essentials by Ellen Mistletoe & Holly Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Solar White 80lb and colored them in with Copics. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I adhered some of the images with Tombo Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. The greetings for both the card and tag are cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. I adhered the Peace to the card with more Foam tape and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to complete it.

My tag is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tag Die from more Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Again I added the images with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape along with the Joy and a few more Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins.

They coordinate but don’t match exactly and I like that you can do that with just a change of the greeting!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and tag for the OSAT Throwback Thursday Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to go back to the start and see clever Andrea Tracy-Tucker has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Players 361

Another week starting off with Monday! LOL! I like it better when they start with Tuesday! The weekend was pretty good. Yesterday I went over to Jim’s and we worked on some more projects and got them done. Taylor stopped by when I got home and we ran to Target to get a few essentials. I have to go to the DMV this morning to renew my license, I forgot that it expires tomorrow! Oops! That should be fun, possibly not! 😀

To start off the week I have a card for the Paper Players challenge…

I decided that I would keep it super simple and use some of my favorite dies from Ellen Hutson! Those dies are the Bold Blooms and I cut them out of Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzaz. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To keep the greeting nice and simple I cut out the Ellen Hutson Brushstroke Love Die from a piece of Silver Glitter Card and I adhered that with little bits of 3M Foam Tape. Every card is better with a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and today’s are Silver! Nice and simple! Aren’t those dies great?! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Cupcakes & Sprinkles

Yay for the weekend! I had a pretty busy day yesterday. Got my haircut in the morning and spoke to my friend Greg for a little while. I went over and saw Heather, we had lunch and I ran a few errands. The evening was quiet, just a little TV. Today it’s supposed to be rainy so maybe some crafty time?! Good way to spend a rainy day! 😀

I have another card to share with you today that uses the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Turnabout Set! The background is stamped with it using my MISTI with Freshly Cut Grass and Merman Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered the trimmed piece to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The cupcakes are stamped in Black Licorice for the outline and the same two ink colors to fill them in. My tag is cut out from a piece of Mermaid Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies along with the cupcakes. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the bottom of the tag. I tied a piece of Natural Green Twine through the top and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The cupcakes are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and a little drop of Multi-Matte Medium holds the twine in place! I’m loving that Sprinkles Turnabout, confetti sprinkles in any colors! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

Orage You Sweet 16

Another nice day yesterday but some rain this morning. I went over to Heather’s early and spent the day with her catching up on some things while she worked. Around 5:00 I headed over to Brian & Kim’s, they needed a ride to a wedding so I drove them over to Floral Park and then came home and watched TV. Today will be a quiet day I hope! 😀

One of my friends asked me to make a card for a sweet 16 so this is what I came up with. It was inspired by a card that I saw on the Concord & 9th site! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the Sweet from the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set in Carrot Ink. The crate is from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Dies. I cut it from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and stamped the woodgrain in Doe. The leaves are from the Petals Set and are stamped in Noble Fir on Noble Fir Card Stock and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I stamped the oranges in Carrot on Fake Tan and cut those out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the crate, oranges and leaves to the card leaving room in the crate to stick in a gift card. The 16 is cut from more Fake Tan with the Hero Arts Classic Numbers Frame Cuts and adhered to the lower right on the crate. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and American Crafts Orange Sequins finish the card! I love the sweet 16 with the oranges, a different take on a birthday card! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for coming by! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 109 – A Sketch!

It was a rainy Monday morning here but it did stop right at 1:00PM just like they said it would! That never happens! LOL! I got all caught up on my comments and went through more of the Stampin’ Galley overabundance in the morning and then went over to see Daniel at my Parent’s house. He is still just the cutest little boy! After dinner we watched PJ Masks together and then I came home and spent a little time with Taylor. Jim stopped by a little later and we watched TV and planned out next DIY project. Can’t wait to get started on that! I’ll be sure an post pictures when we are done! I think that Andrew is going to come by for a while today, will be good to see him! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Today’s card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Flower Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with Pool Party Card Stock and Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder to create a panel. It’s backed with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Dies and is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card. To adhere it to the card I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins fill in some of the space on the embossed panel and the card is done! I think that this would make a nice elegant wedding card, especially with the Tiffany colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Go on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
