SIP Challenge 72

Happy day after Halloween! Have you recovered from your candy comas yet?! It was chilly here yesterday but sunny and the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store closed early yesterday so that Renee and I could go and spend a little quality time with our families! I did get my Hero Arts order and got that checked in and also got my new Kindle! I started reading the The Atlantis Gene, it was a free read on Amazon Prime! It’s pretty good so far! After I left the Store I headed home and met up with my Parents and we drove out to my Brother’s house. Daniel was Marshall from Paw Patrol and Tristan was an elephant! We Trick-or-Treated for a while and then had dinner. Here are some pics along with a selfie of Daniel and I that he said I should take!

And yes, my brother made the firetruck! He’s pretty talented too! We had so much fun with them! Today I need to get some things accomplished at the Store and also finish up some projects. I know, I’m always finishing up projects! LOL! 😀

Let’s see… its Tuesday! Time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

sip-sketch-challenge-72-800

My card for today starts off with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a piece of paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Winter Petite Paper Pad down the middle to the left a little. My star is cut from American Crafts Glitter Card Stock with the Lawn Fawn Puffy Stars Lawn Cuts, I punched a hole in the bottom with my Crop-A-Dile. The greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Battleship Gray that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags Lawn Cuts. I tied the large star to the small one with Lawn Fawn Silver Single Cord Lawn Trimmings and adhered the large star to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My seal is created using the Lawn Fawn Narwhal & Friends Lawn Cuts. I cut him out of Black, Slate and Battleship Gray and adhered him together with Dot Runner Adhesive. He is then adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I think that this may very well be Daniel’s Christmas Card! Love that little seal, he’s so cute! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards, including this month’s Guest Designer LeAnne! Thank you for coming by today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

I had an extra fun day yesterday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was busy with Renee’s Home Decor projects being made. I got see my friend Michelle who stopped in to get a few things. Taylor also came up and had lunch with me, it’s nice to see her awake! LOL! I got a call from my friend Sue telling me that she had an extra ticket for the Carrie Underwood Concert at Madison Square Garden and did I want to go?! Of course I did. I left the Store at 3:30 and stopped by my Parent’s and guess who was there? My little buddy Daniel! I played with him for a bit. We palyed solitaire on hiPad and he made a new game where as soon as he found the Aces the game was finished and he started a new one! We finished with that and I gave hime lots of love and headed over to meet Sue. We got the train into Manhattan, we met her daughter Sharon on the train, and had a slice of Penn Station Pizza before heading up to get to our seats. Easton Corbin opened and I like him! Carrie Underwood was fantastic! She puts on a great show! The stage was in the round so you get to see all of the show! Here are a few pictures…

pcccs216-dt-sketch-10-25-2016

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Down the left side is a piece of Echo Park This & That 12×12 Paper. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb and I stamped the snow flurry from the Hero Arts Vintage Wishes Stamp & Die Combo in Soft Granite and the snowflakes in Charcoal. Down the left side is a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock and the greeting is stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black. I then used E-Z Runner and Fun Foam to adhere the panel to the card base. The circle is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Paper with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts and adhered to a piece of Solar White 110lb to make it a little more sturdy. I adhered the circle to the card with more E-Z Runner. My two trees and snowman are from the same set with the snowman stamped in Intense Black and the trees in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and then adhered them to the circle with 3D Foam Squares. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finishes off the card! I love that Winter Scene Stamp Set, so many fun images and for me to use only one set it must a good one! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for coming by to see me today! Have a wild Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 215

As planned I did have a very productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! Despite the fact that I had to keep going outside to experience the gorgeous “Summer like” weather! It was in the 80’s! Yes please! I managed to get two cards made and get a host of administrative things accomplished! Taylor stopped by with her friend Marissa again and they kept me company for a while. After work I had a little stew that my Mum had made for me and finished my laundry. Then it was home to find out the my Keurig died! Ugh! I love my Ninja Coffee Bar but when I want a quick cup I still like the Keurig. I made myself an Americano in the Nespresso instead and that was delicious! Think I have enough coffee makers?! This morning I’m running into Manhattan to help my friend Ella with a few things and then Sue is going to pick me up by the train station near the store and help me cut for class! Busy day!

After a week hiatus the Paper Craft Crew challenge is back this week with a theme…

pcccs215-dt-sketch-10-19-2016

The card base for today’s card is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Kaisercraft Mademoiselle Collection 12×12 Paper. Down the left side is a strip of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape. My coffee cup is from the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Stamp & Die Combo and is stamped in Hero Arts Vintage Metallic Rust Ombre Ink. The whipped cream is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Puff Embossing Powder and the sleeve stamped in Cup O Joe with the greeting heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. My leaves are from the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Stamp & Die Combo (it really is one of my faves!), the leaves are stamped in the Ombre Ink with the veins heat embossed in Gold. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out all of the images. A piece of May Arts Natural Twine is tied in a bow toward the top of the cup and I used a combination of Fun Foam, E-Z Runner and Thin 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to a tag that I cut out from a piece of Kraft using the Hero Arts Infinity Tags Dies. The reinforcement is cut from some Chinese Red and another piece of May Arts Natural Twine is tied through the hole. More Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adhere the tag to the card. I added a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the whipped cream and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I really do enjoy that Grateful Leaves Set don’t I?! Almost as much as I love the Ombre Inks! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you very much for coming by today! Have an awesome Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 67 – A Sketch!

Yes, it was chilly here again yesterday! Where oh where did my summer go?! Of course, now the climate control in my car is working steadily! Well, I guess I will appreciate that when I actually need the heat! I had another very productive day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I made a card and managed to get all of my images stamped and Copic colored for the card for October Card Class! Renee also had a busy but productive day! Yay all around! I spoke to Anna from The Ink Pad for a bit, I’m going to stop by the store on Saturday to drop off some stuff. I’m going to the Mama Elephant event at Westbeth with Sandy and Sue! Woo hoo! A day in the city! Please say a little prayer that it doesn’t rain! When I got home I had dinner and then came to my house and die cut all of the images that I colored in at the store. Today I’ll assemble the cards, nice and early too! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

sip-challenge-67-sketch

Some people see a rectangle, I see a tag! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Snowy Tree Stamp & Die Combo. The snowflakes are stamped directly onto the card front with Tide Pool. I added a strip of Dark Molasses across the lower middle. My tag is cut from Solar White 80lb using the Hero Arts Infinity Tags Dies. I stamped the trees onto the tag and an extra onto another piece of Solar White 80lb in Green Fields and the deer in Cup O Joe. The extra tree and deer are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the tag with 3D Foam Squares. I tied a piece of American Crafts Basic Light Green Twine through the top of the tag and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparking Clear and Sea Breeze Sequins are added for a little interest and the card is finished! I think that the Stamp Set has such fun images and the snowflakes are just so cool! LOL! Get it, cool snowflakes?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Head on over to BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s awesome projects and we hope that we get to see your card in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Mojo Monday 458

Of we go into another week! My weekend was great! My friend Barbara came out to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store to visit! We had Panera for lunch and then hung out at the store. Around 4:30 we headed out, I wanted to stop home and drop off my bags. When we got to the house my Brother, Erika, Daniel and Tristen were at my parents! I finally got a peek at the new baby! Barbara got to meet everyone including Winston. From there we made our way into Manhattan, lots of traffic as always on a Sunday evening. By the time I found a parking space it was 7:00. Barbara and I said our goodbyes and I headed over to see Kim Doi. Once there I spoke to Michael for a bit and so did Kim. I helped Kim with her new rug and some electronics goodies that she had gotten and then we went out for Mexican food. The place we ate at was called Oaxaca Taqueria on 1st and 64th. The food was excellent and I haven’t had really good Mexican in a while! After dinner we went back to Kim’s and I shared my latest YouTube obsession, Troy Miller, with her. Watching him just make me smile! I started to head back to the car around 11:40. There was a big accident by Laguardia so that delayed me a little but I still made it home by 12:45 and I got to do one of my favorite things, drive back home from the city with the top down at night in my car! Today I have to get all of my orders in for the new Holiday goodies that are coming out! Fun!

The best way to start off a new week is with a new Mojo Monday Sketch…

Mojo458

Today’s card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The first layer of my background is a piece of Crisp Cantaloupe. My piece of patterned paper is from the Dear Lizzy Documentary 6×6 Paper Pad. I backed it with a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that to the card. Another piece of paper from the same pad is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The two banners are Pistachio Pudding and Daffodil Delight and my triangle is Sweet Sugarplum that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames Lawn Cuts. The banners and triangle are adhered to the card with Foam Tape. My butterfly is from the Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The image is colored in with my Gansai Tambi Watercolors and the body is stamped in Onyx Black. I used the dies to cut them both out and adhered the butterfly to the card with another piece of Foam Tape. Right before I adhered the butterfly I stamped the greeting in Onyx Black. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Pink Peony, Tangerine and Lemon Drop Sequins completes the card! I love my Gansai Tambi Watercolors, they have such a nice rich pigment to them and I think they really make the butterfly pop! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and don’t forget to enter your take on the sketch into the gallery! Thank you for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 450

Another sunny day here yesterday, a little on the humid side but that’s because our streak of luck has run out! It’s supposed to rain all day today. Oh well, it was great while it lasted! I spent the day crafting, actually getting a little ahead! I managed to make three cards! Yippie! I also had to go for a ride and enjoy the weather so I headed over to Barnes & Noble in search of a magazine but I alas they didn’t have it. I’ll have to see if I can stop by one in Manhattan today, that’s where I’m headed. I guess I’ll have to be sure and bring my umbrella, wonder where that is?! Oh Happy Memorial Day to all my peeps in the states, it’s going to be a washout here but hopefully you will have nice weather where you are and get to enjoy a BBQ with your friends and family!

Today, like every Monday, lucky boy that I am, I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

Mojo450

Love a Tall & Skinny!! My card base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card stock. For my background I stamped a piece of Melon Mambo with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background using Hero Arts Raspberry Jam Ink. Down the left side is a piece of Gold Mirror Card and my greeting, along with all of my images, is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flower for You Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the greeting on a piece of 46lb Vellum and wrapped it around the panel before adhering it to the card with E-Z Runner. The flag is a piece of Solar White 80lb with the outline of the flower image stamped in Ultra Pink and that’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The main flower is stamped in Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam with the leaves stamped in Lawn Fawn Freshly Cut Grass Ink and Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered the leaves with Dot Runner and the flower with Foam Tape. Around the top I tied a piece of American Crafts Brights Hemp Twine in a bow to finish the card. I love that Flowers for You Set and the fun Confetti Background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for his week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! OSAT Blog Hop – May Flowers!

OSAT Blog Hop Banner

I had a busy day yesterday! I had to run out to Riverhead to get some documents, it’s an hour from me and thankfully Sue came along for the ride! We were in and out so that was good. The weather was absolutely gorgeous here too! Nice bright sun and temps in the 70’s! We stopped and looked at few things at a store and then had some Sonic for lunch! When we got back to my house Sue took a bunch of stuff home to work on for me and then I went over to see my parents and little Daniel. He has a cold that he got from his cousin! Those little ones do like to pass around the germs don’t they?! I stopped back at my house and then headed over to Scrap-A-Latte to watch the store for Renee while she went and spent some time with her grandkids! I got to FaceTime with Andrea for a bit and I worked on some stuff while I was there. Today I’m going to meet Bill for lunch and then get a bunch more stuff done. Hopefully it will be nice again! I did enjoy my time in the convertible yesterday!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here after seeing Megan’s fabulous projects, welcome! This month we have a May flowers theme! More flowers! LOL! I have been on a flower kick lately, thankfully I have some new ones for you today!

First up is a card that uses some Altenew goodies! The card base is Neenah Solar White cut to 4″ wide with the front covered with a piece of Black 110lb. My flowers are from the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Hero Arts Bubblegum and Raspberry Jam Ink for the flowers and Simon Says Stamp Jellybean and Green Apple Ink for the leaves. The outlines of all of them are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and arranged them on my card. Some Press ‘n Seal is used to pick them up. I added some Foam Tape and Tombo Mono Adhesive to the back and then pressed them to my card and peeled off the Press ‘n Seal. The little black and white leaves are tucked in and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. You can see how nice and easy it is here…

OSAT April Blog Hop - Press Front

OSAT April Blog Hop - Press Back

I stamped the butterfly from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set in Bubblegum and Raspberry Jam and used the Coordinating Dies to cut him out too. Some more Foam Tape holds him in place. My greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. I love the loose artsy feel of the flowers and butterfly and I think they really pop against the black!

OSAT April Blog Hop - Card-WM

Next up is a fun tag! I painted a Wooden Tag with some Black Acrylic Paint while it dried I heat embossed a Wood Rose with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. My greeting is heat embossed in more Gold and is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. I adhered the rose to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium and then tied a piece of American Crafts Pink Twine though the top! I think the tag would make a very nice package decoration and then whoever you give it to can keep it and use as for a little home decor!

Paper Players 286

Happy St. Paddy’s Day! I celebrated a little early with Brian last night, hence the late post this morning! LOL! Yesterday I went over to Scrap-A-Latte and got most of my stuff cut for class and got to see Renee for a bit. She left early so I stayed and locked up. I had some dinner when I got home and then Brian and I took a ride to Brooklyn to get one of our friend’s cars. He’s a fireman and will be going to the parade today so he didn’t want to drive home later. After we dropped off the car at his house we went to Riley’s so Brian could eat and we ended up having a few beers to celebrate! I’ll be heading over to Scrap-A-Latte for class later on. I get to see Danielle and Andrew, they will be at tonight’s class! Yay!

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players color challenge…

Paper Players #286

I don’t know why but when I see a bunch of bold colors like these I somehow always try and just use those colors! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front with a piece of Calypso Coral. Next, I took the Simon Says Stamp Present Shaker Craft Die and cut it out from a  piece of Bermuda Bay and Black 110lb. The Black is trimmed out to be the frame for the present and is adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. I adhered a piece of Acetate to the back of the Bermuda Bay and then some Foam Tape to create my well for the shaker goodies! To fill up the shaker part I used a little Recollections Mini Black Star Glitter and some Teal Glitter that I got from Target. It’s sprinkled on the card and then the front panel is adhered over it to seal it in. A piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Paper is then cut out with the bow from the die set and adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. Finally, my greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set is stamped in Onyx Black across the top. A fun simple shaker card that would work well for just about anyone! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge. Thanks for coming by today and I wish you all very happy Thursday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 435

Still cold just in case you were wondering! It was way too cold to get out of bed so I slept in. I spent most of the day in the house except for a little trip to Burger King for lunch and then Stop and Shop with my friend Maureen. I got to speak to Michael for a while and when I came home Taylor and Keira were here. They were binge watching I Zombie on Netflix. After dinner I worked on some projects and then watched a few movies. I did get a nice text from my sister-in-law with a video from Daniel. I just had to share it with you! Just click the link below to load the video!

Daniel V’day 2016

Isn’t he just the cutest! That’s my brother that you hear in the background. Oh, and Winston is back to his normal self and feeling much better! Now if I could just get him to stop sampling things in the yard!

Starting off the week right with a new Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo435

I promise that I will get away from reds and pinks! LOL! The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Bundle of Stitched Shapes to cut out a piece of Blushing Bride for the background and adhered that to the base with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The two strips of paper are from the Pebbles Your Truly 6×6 Paper Pad and are adhered to the background with SNAIL. For the main panel I cut out a piece of Real Red with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares Dies and heat embossed the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Sending and Wishing Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The panel is then adhered to the card with more Fun Foam and SNAIL. My flowers and leaves are from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are stamped in Simon Says Stamp Teeny Bikini, Duckling and Teal Ink on Solar White 80lb and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered them to the red square with SNAIL and Foam Tape. I really love the finished edge that the Stitched Dies give to the panels and the flowers are nice and neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team Card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Don’t forget to stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and add your take on the sketch to the gallery! Freshly Made Sketches 223

Yay for the weekend! Boo for the freezing cold! We are supposed to get down to -20 with the wind chill later on today, that is just silly! I will be crafty inside the house for the day thanks! I did have a nice full day yesterday! I stopped by Scrap-A-Latte in the morning to see Renee and get the supplies for this month’s Card Class. From there I headed out to MacArthur to pick up Sandy. We stopped at Panera and had lunch before I dropped her off at the rental car place, her car is being fixed at the moment. I came back home and checked on Winston, he’s not feeling well, he didn’t even eat breakfast. Poor guy. Taylor and Keira stopped by and gave him some love while I worked on some crafty things. I went out to dinner with Anthony and Bill so I took Winston over to my Parent’s so he wouldn’t be alone. We went to Friday’s for an early Valentine’s dinner! LOL! It was fun as always. Before they dropped me off we stopped at Target and Starbucks. The rest of the night I sat with Winnie, I hope he feels better today.

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Very interesting sketch! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Dotted Next Level 3D Embossing Folder on a piece of Crumb Cake for the background and it’s adhered to the card with SNAIL. Some Black 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Devonshire Butterfly Craft Die. I smooshed it into my Versa-Mark Pad and covered it with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder before heating it with my Heat Tool. I repeated the process twice to give it a little more shine. Two strips of paper from the American Crafts DIY Shop 6×6 Paper Pad are adhered to the card with SNAIL and the butterfly is adhered with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp I See You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Little pieces of Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape hold that in place. I think that Dotted 3D Folder is really cool and the butterfly coated in the clear embossing powder is pretty neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for starting your weekend off with me! Have a stupendous Saturday! 🙂
