  • Wisteria Black First Edition Type Oldie

    Happy Saturday everyone. Welcome to the start of our three day weekend. For today’s card I found one that I made a while ago and it made me remember how much I like the stamp set and miss it. This card is also a great example of how you can make a great card with just a Stamp Set, Punch, Card Stock and Designer Series Paper. The base of the card is a note card size piece Very Vanilla Card Stock. I used a piece of First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper for the background. The typewriter image, stamped in Basic Black, is from the You’re My Type Stamp Set from the Occasions Mini and is no longer available. I backed it with some Wisteria Wonder Card Stock and punched out a piece of Basic Black Card Stock with the Decorative Label Punch and cut it in half and mounted it to the top and bottom of the Wisteria Wonder. The “a little note…” is stamped in Basic Black too. A few of these put together in a box would make a great gift and the main image could easily be swapped out for another current one.   • Baja Cajun Starfruit Papaya Cafe Birthday Sneak Peek

    Hello everyone and welcome to Friday… three day weekend Friday! Bought to you this week by Memorial Day! I have no definite plans this weekend so I am going to try and get some crafting time in. What are all of you up to this weekend? Today’s card is another sneak peek at items from the upcoming 2012-2013 Catalog. Less than one week from now you can place your orders. 🙂 If anyone needs a catalog, contact me and I’ll send you one. The card base is Summer Starfruit* Card Stock. I ran a piece of Baja Breeze through the Big Shot using the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the top half of the background. The bottom half of the background is a piece of Comfort Café Designer Series Paper**. I love the texture in the design on the paper, it gives it a nice worn look. I covered the seam with some Soft Suede 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon. The greeting and border are from the Memorable Moments Stamp Set** and are stamped in Midnight Muse*. I cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits Dies and stamped off the leaves image from the Papaya Collage Stamp Set** in Summer Starfruit*. The flagged pieces are cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits Dies** in Cajun Craze and adhered to the back of the label and then adhered to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The bird, stamped in Soft Suede, and butterflies, stamped in Cajun Craze are also from the Papaya Collage Stamp Set** and are cut out with paper Snips and mounted to the DSP with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. Two Basic Jewels Pearls on each of the butterflies complete the card. I love the mix of colors in the Comfort Café DSP**, some old ones and some new.   • Raspberry Green Collage Graduation

    Good morning peeps and happy Thursday! Only one more day to go until my favorite day… FRIDAY! As an added bonus it’s Memorial Day weekend so that means that Monday is a holiday! Three day weekend! 🙂 Today’s card is for a friend of mine at work, Valerie. She just got her Masters Degree and her graduation is on Saturday. What an amazing accomplishment! I started with a base of Gumball Green* Card Stock. I stamped the frame image from the Papaya Collage Stamp Set** in Soft Suede. The leaves image was stamped on another piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock and adhered to the middle of the frame. I stamped the congratulations from the Layered Labels Stamp Set** in Raspberry Ripple* and cut it out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies**. It’s mounted to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The happy graduation is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and is stamped in Gumball Green* and cut out with the Itty Bitty Banners Framelits Dies**. I cut a smaller on in Raspberry Ripple* and cut it in half with my Paper Snips and adhered it to the back of the greeting and then adhered it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added a piece of Soft Suede punched out with the Dotted Scalloped Ribbon Punch to each side of the frame and tucked it behind so that only the edge peeks out.     Hello peeps! Happy Tuesday to you all. I forgot to mention yesterday that I went down to the High Line in Manhattan with my friend Kim on Sunday. The High Line is a section of old elevated train track that they have turned into a greenspace. If you get the chance go and see it, it’s quite neat! For this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge we have this to work with…

    I always love the Mojo sketches and this is good one. With Sale-A-Bration over in less than two weeks I decided it was time to use it once again. The base of the card is Very Vanilla. I used two pieces of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (Sale-A-Bration) for the background and separated them with a piece of Very Vanilla 1/2″ Grosgrain Ribbon. I stamped some images from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) in Pool Party and Calypso Coral and punched them out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. They are mounted on Stampin’ Dimensionals for a little extra pop. The greeting is from the Curly Cute Stamp Set and is stamped in Calypso Coral and mounted to a piece of Pool Party that was punched along one side with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.It’s actually a pretty simple card and I am loving the colors!   • Paper Players #87

    Good morning and welcome to Monday, brought to you today by the Paper Players Challenge #87…

    This week featuring… buttons! I have quite a few buttons but I always for get to use them, thankfully this weeks challenge reminded me! I used three different stamp sets that all coordinate quite well together. The base of the card is Baja Breeze and to that I added a background of Soft Suede that I ran through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Young Vermillion Wood Mount Stamp for the focal image of the card stamped in Soft Suede. The detail in the image is amazing, it’s definitely a favorite of mine. The strip along the bottom, also stamped in Soft Suede, is from the Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and it also coordinates with the Tea Shoppe Set (Occasions Mini). I choose the greeting from the Happiest Birthday Wishes (Host(ess)) Stamp Set and they are backed with Baja Breeze. All of the stamped images are adhered to the card with Stampin Dimensionals. For the perfect finishing touch I added three buttons in Baja Blue from the Twitterpated Designer Buttons (Occasions Mini) and adhered them with Mini Glue Dots.   • Eiffel Espresso Cobbler

    Good morning everyone, I hope that you are all having a nice weekend. I spent the day with my daughter and we ran some errands. I also got to spend some quality time with my stamps today, I had a bunch of cards to make and got a lot done. For today’s card I did a simple love card. I only used one stamp set and four different colors. For the base of the card I used Early Espresso. I then took a piece pf Very Vanilla and used two images from the Artistic Etchings Stamp Set to create a background. I stamped them in More Mustard and did it randomly. The beautiful Eiffel Tower image is stamped in Early Espresso and I put three 3/16″ Metallic Brads in the left corner. It was mounted on Cherry Cobbler along with the amour that is stamped in Cherry Cobbler Ink. A nice simple Sunday card and with a quick greeting change it could become a birthday, thank you or any other type of card that you need.   • Razzleberry Bright Birthday

    Good morning and happy Saturday! What is everyone up to this weekend? I’m going to make some cards today for some friends and spend some time outside, it’s supposed to be nice today. Today’s card is great when you just need a quick and simple birthday card. The card is a note card size and would be perfect for anyone. I used the Notecards Pack, they come with 20 pre-cut and scored note cards and 20 envelopes in Whisper White. The background is Daffodil Delight that was ran through the Big Shot in the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set (Pre-Order) to stamp some more Daffodil Delight and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch and then cut it in half to make the vases. I stamped the flowers in Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White and backed it with Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. The greeting is from the Party This Way Stamp Set (Sale-A-Bration) and is stamped in Rich Razzleberry and punched out with the Word Window Punch and backed by a piece of Rich Razzleberry punched out with the Modern Label Punch. I adhered it all to the background with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The card would be perfect for anyone and with a quick greeting change could be a thank you too.     FRIDAY!! FRIDAY!! FRIDAY!! Yeah!! I loves me some Friday! Can you tell I’m happy that the week is over?! I’m really looking forward to the weekend, I don’t have a lot planned for a change so it might actually be a little relaxing. Pals Paper Arts has moved to a biweekly routine, I do miss the weekly ones but for this weeks sketch they give us this…

    I wanted to use the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set (Pre-Order) but not the colors that coordinate with the suite. I opted for some Pear Pizzaz, Peach Parfait and Concord Crush. We will be saying goodbye to these colors in a few months and welcoming in some new ones so I am going to give them a good send-off. The base of the card is Pear Pizzaz and is left plain. I used a piece of Designer Series Paper Patterns Stack in Concord Crush (Retired) from a 6 x 6 stack that I got for winning the Blog Candy blowout on Pals last year. I love the paper with it’s diagonal stripes. The greeting is from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set and is stamped in Concord Crush on Whisper White. I markered an image from the Bright Blossoms Stamp Set (Pre-Order) in Concord Crush, Pear Pizzaz and Peach Parfait and cut it out with my paper snips and popped it up on a Stampin’ Dimensional. The flagged ends were made using the 1″ Square Punch on Concord Crush and Whisper White. I stamped another image from Bright Blossoms in Pear Pizzaz and Peach Parfait and punched them out with the 1/2″ Circle Punch and popped those up on Stampin’ Dimensionals too.   • Big Hug Bright Smooch

    Happy Thursday! It’s almost Friday, wee! I would like to take a minute to welcome my two new recruits, Angie and Melissa! Two very talented ladies that are going to have a lot of fun with Stampin’ Up! And now to business at hand. Today’s card uses more of the pre-order items from the new Summer Smooches Collection, which will be available for customer pre-order on April 1st. The base of the card is Whisper White and to that I added a piece of Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper (Pre-Order) and a piece of Tangerine Tango that was punched with the Scallop Edge Punch along one side. The image is from the Bright Blossoms (Pre-Order) Set and was markered with Tangerine Tango and Lucky Limeade and stamped on more Whisper White backed with some more Tangerine Tango. The greeting is from the Perfect Words Stamp Set (Host(ess)) and is stamped in Tangerine Tango. The large brad is a Summer Smooches Fabric Covered Brad (Pre-Order) in Lucky Limeade with little white tulips.   • Paper Players #86

    Good morning and welcome to Wednesday, we are halfway there people! For this weeks Paper Players they give us a color challenge…

    And what a great combination of colors it is. I love Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Crumb Cake. I will miss Pear Pizzaz when it retires in a few months too. I also did something that I never usually do, my card today has a very vintage feel to it. I sponged everything in Crumb Cake. The base of the card is Pool Party. I took some Wisteria Wonder and ran it through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Texture Impressions Embossing Folder. The sponging on it really makes the design shine through. I rounded the corners with the 1″ Circle Punch on the card and background. The stamp is from the set Up In the Air (Host(ess)) from the Occasions Mini Catalog and is stamped in Black Staz-on Ink. I colored in the flowers with my Stampin’ Write Markers using Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzaz. I then stamped the birdhouse again on crumb cake and popped it up on a Stampin’ Dimensional. The backing for the image is Crumb Cake and I flagged the ends with the 1 3/8″ Square Punch and rounded the other side with the 2 1/2″ Circle Punch. The strip across the middle is Pear Pizzaz with a piece of Crumb Cake 1/2″ Seam Binding Ribbon across it. I mounted the image with some more Stampin’ Dimensionals and there you have it, Paper Player Challenge #86. Thank you, as always, for stopping by and enjoy your day!
