Happy Thanksgiving peeps! It’s supposed to be a nice day in the 60’s here and I’m looking forward to a little dinner with my parents and Taylor. I enjoyed my day yesterday by crafting for a bit in the morning, hanging out with Heather in the middle of the day and crafting some more last night. Heather made some scone cakes while I worked on my little on-line project and it smelled so good! I helped her out a little and played with the kitties. I also caught up on Limitless last night since I missed it on Tuesday. Still loving that show! Are you all set for today?!

One of my cards that I made last night is for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge. Before we get to that I want to thank Joanne for choosing my card as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now on to their week’s sketch…

I see a little tag on there! LOL! The card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of paper from the Bo Bunny Altitude 6×6 Pad from last year. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. A strip of My Colors Pale Aqua goes across from the left and is flagged on the right with the greeting from the Simon Says Stamp Gifts of Love Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb and I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Simon Says Stamp Lake Shores Ink to color it before adhering it to the card with more Fun Foam and SNAIL. The tag is cut from some Recollections Adhesive Cork Sheet that is adhered to a piece of Solar White 80lb and cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Medium Tags Dies. I tied a piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Hemp Twine thought the top and also adhered the tag to the panel with Fun Foam and SNAIL. A drop of Multi-Matte Medium adheres the twine to the card. The snowflake is cut from more Pale Aqua with the Simon Says Stamp Maryanne Snowflake and adhered to the tag with Multi-Matte Medium. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Marshmallow and Aquamarine Sequins scattered from top left to bottom right complete the card. I love the swoop of the twine and the sequins, they give the card a little “motion”! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players sketch challenge! Another lovely day here on Long Island! I was at Scrap-A-Latte all day, I worked on some cards, practiced calligraphy with a nib and ink (my fingers are a little black!) and had a visit from Brian! I also got to speak to Michael for a while, so good to actually talk to him! When I came home Daniel was still at my parent’s and he filled me on the events of the day while I ate dinner. He’s so animated when he tells his stories! From there it was home to get crafty for a bit before getting ready for bed.

Moving right along with the week it’s Tuesday and that means another Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge…

I do love a tag on a sketch! My card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background strip is a piece of paper from the Bo Bunny Altitude Collection 6×6 Paper Pad. A strip of Silver Glimmer Paper goes across the lower half of the card. My tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb and Blackberry Bliss. I ran the White tag though the Big Shot again with the Simon Says Stamp Kinley Snowflake Die to get the negative of the die cut. The white tag is then adhered to the Blackberry Bliss one. I stamped my greeting and snowflakes from the Simon Says Stamp Hand Lettered Winter Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon and Smoky Slate ink. A piece of cord from the Lawn Trimmings Vivid Lawn Trimmings set is tied though the top and the tag is adhered to the card with SNAIL and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins are adhered to the tag and complete the card! I do love a negative die cut and the non-traditional colors in the paper!
