Paper Players 362

Another speedy weekend but it was a beautiful Summer like one here. It’s good that we had the nice weather because we are supposed to get a lot of rain this week which will put a damper on my kitchen plans, bummer. I had a nice relaxing day yesterday. I cleaned a little and did some laundry. There was a lot of TV time too. I’ll have to find some inside projects for today! ๐Ÿ˜€

I had sat down last night to make my card before I checked to see what this week’s Paper Players challenge was and as luck would have it, it works…

I’m loving the Hero Arts Autumn Icon Fancy Dies that were an add-ons to this month’s My Monthly Hero Kit. I used them to cut out someย So Saffron, Pear Pizzaz, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip. For the acorn I used Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to a piece of Crumb Cake and then cut around it with my scissors. To adhere them to the card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I used Ultra Thin Glue Dots. All that was left to do was stamp my greeting from the Hero Arts Ribbon Greetings Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Cup O Joe. I used basically the same goodies to make yesterday’s card. Love how you can get such a completely different look with the same products! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off here on the blog with me! Have the best Monday that you can! ๐Ÿ™‚

Happy Birthday Pumpkin

Happy Sunday peeps! I’m a little late this morning because I was out a little later than planned last night and actually got up this morning and made my card! I went over to Jim’s yesterday and we worked on getting his garage organized. We had a little lunch and then went over to the new Costco by him. He got a new TV for his bedroom so we installed that and then ran over to IKEA and Target. A lot was accomplished and that is always a good thing! ๐Ÿ˜€

That card that I made this morning uses some of the add-ons from the September My Monthly Hero Kit. I started by die cutting the pumpkin from Gold Glitter Card and the leaf from Green Glitter Paper using the Hero Arts Autumn Icons Fancy Dies. I laid the pumpkin onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to get and idea as to where I wanted to do my ink blending. I used Just Rust behind the pumpkin and Pool around it. The pumpkin and leaf are then adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. For the greeting I ink blended some more Just Rust onto card stock and dried it with my Heat Tool. I then stamped the Happy Birthday from the Hero Arts Ribbon Messages Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. It’s cut out with one of the banner dies and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Metallic Green and Pumpkin Sequins finish the card! It would be a fun to give for a fall birthday don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I thank you for stopping by! Have a super Sunday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Simple Sunflower

It was another beautiful day here yesterday! I went over to Jim’s and waited for the guy to come and measure for the door. I caught up on my Blog comments and played with the dogs while I waited. After the guy was done I came back home and Heather and I ran to BJ’s to pick up a few things. Last night Heather and I went over and spent some time with Stephanie. Today, not sure what’s going on but hopefully it will be fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have a super quick and simple card using the September My Monthly Hero Kit and my Mini MISTI! I stamped the sunflower in Butter Bar, Pumpkin Pie and Orange Soda for the flower and Green Hills and Forever Green for the leaves. The flower center is stamped in Cup O Joe for both layers. My little bee is stamped in Butter Bar and Cup O Joe and the greeting in Forever Green. Done! Like I said, simple and a great card to make multiples of with the MISTI! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thanks for visiting with me and I wish you all a superb Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 121

It was a humid, sticky day here yesterday. Not complaining, I’ll take that over cold any day! I managed to get a few things out of the way in the morning, stained a switch plate cover, did a little laundry. Around 3:00 Heather dropped me off at the train station so that I could head into Manhattan. I made sure that I left myself enough time to walk to my destination. I met up with Chantal outside her office on 5th and then we walked over to wait for Kim. She works in the building that I used to work in when I was in the city. The three of us headed over to Omar’s for dinner, they have the best hummus and falafel! From there we said goodbye to Chantal and Kim and I walked over to the theater on 45th and 8th to see Kinky Boots. I have to say it was one of the best plays that I have seen! If you get a chance to see it make sure that you do! I got back out on the Island around 11:00 and was done! I’ll be going over to Jim’s house later on this morning to wait for the guy to come and measure for the new side door. ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Friday! And it’s a Fab Friday too! We have a simple sketch for you this time around…

I started off by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Hope Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeรฑo, Grape Juice and Juice Box. They are cut out with my Scissors, love a little fussy cutting! The label is cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the Concord & 9th Hope Label Dies. I added the flowers and leaves to it with Dot Runner adhesive and 3M Foam Tape, stamped the greeting from the same set in Grape Juice and then adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock With Fun Foam. For a little extra interest I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets! Love the loose brushstroke look of the flowers, don’t you?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for catching up with me today! Enjoy your Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

OSAT September Blog Hop – Throwback Thursday!

We have had nice Summer like weather for the past two days, it got up into the 80’s and was nice and sunny too! I went over to see my friend Sue during the day to help with some of the Etsy orders! If you haven’t checked out her store you can by clicking HERE! There is a ton of fun stamping goodness with more being added all the time! When I got home around 5:00 Taylor stopped by for a bit and then I went over to see Heather. We ran up to IKEA to get a few things and then sat and chatted in her backyard. Tonight I’m headed into Manhattan to see Kinky Boots with my friend Kim. She got the tickets for my Birthday! That should be loads of fun! ๐Ÿ˜€

For my projects today I’m participating in a blogย hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talentedย Marisa Gunn’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Throwback Thursday Theme! I base my card on one that I did a while ago. You can see it below…

To start I stamped the images from the Essentials by Ellen Mistletoe & Holly Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Solar White 80lb and colored them in with Copics. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I adhered some of the images with Tombo Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. The greetings for both the card and tag are cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. I adhered the Peace to the card with more Foam tape and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to complete it.

My tag is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tag Die from more Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Again I added the images with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape along with the Joy and a few more Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins.

They coordinate but don’t match exactly and I like that you can do that with just a change of the greeting!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and tag for the OSAT Throwback Thursday Blog Hop! You can click on the nextย button below to go back to the start and see cleverย Andrea Tracy-Tuckerย has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today.ย Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 116 – CAS Fall!

I started my day off yesterday with a lengthy trip to the DMV to renew my License. I guess it wasn’t too bad, an hour and a half, it definitely could have been longer. I have had the pleasure of sitting there for over three hours on other occasions! I did manage to make the girl that waited on me laugh so it was time well spent! LOL! After that I came home and cleaned a little and then set out working on a friends computer. The hard drive failed and needed to be replaced. It took it apart and then tried to find the drive that I needed. They had one at Micro Center so Taylor and I took a ride over there and they she wanted to go to Dick’s Sporting Goods. I put the new drive in and put the computer back together and then ran over to see Heather for a little bit. We watched Pretty Woman, I still love that movie! This morning I don’t know what I will do, it’s my Birthday so maybe nothing! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s also Tuesday and time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I do love Clean and Simple and I went really CAS on this one! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the leaf from the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Autumn Ombre Ink with my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp it. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the darker red from the same pad. I added the dots with my Stylus and the Ombre Pad too. I’m a little obsessed with those dots lately, you can blame Jennifer McGuire for that! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper CAS Fall Challenge! The rest of the Team has some great cards for you to use to inspire you over on the BLOG! We hope to see your card in gallery! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have Happy Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 361

Another week starting off with Monday! LOL! I like it better when they start with Tuesday! The weekend was pretty good. Yesterday I went over to Jim’s and we worked on some more projects and got them done. Taylor stopped by when I got home and we ran to Target to get a few essentials. I have to go to the DMV this morning to renew my license, I forgot that it expires tomorrow! Oops! That should be fun, possibly not! ๐Ÿ˜€

To start off the week I have a card for the Paper Players challenge…

I decided that I would keep it super simple and use some of my favorite dies from Ellen Hutson! Those dies are the Bold Blooms and I cut them out of Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzaz. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To keep the greeting nice and simple I cut out the Ellen Hutson Brushstroke Love Die from a piece of Silver Glitter Card and I adhered that with little bits of 3M Foam Tape. Every card is better with a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and today’s are Silver! Nice and simple! Aren’t those dies great?! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Smiley Thank You

Hi friends! I had a nice quiet day yesterday apart from running over to Jim’s for a little bit. Didn’t really do much of anything in particular. Today I’ll make up for that! And the rest of this week it’s all about that kitchen!

I took out one of my favorite My Monthly Hero Kits and stamped the smiley face in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Solar White 80lb along with some hearts in Red Royal. Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Ink Only!

Another cool morning here on Long Island, but it’s sort of refreshing sleeping with the windows open and enjoying a little fresh air. I had a nice busy day yesterday, I cleaned and did some laundry in the morning, ran a few errands and spoke to my friend Kim. Jim came by around 4:30 and we headed down to Jones Beach to go for a walk. A nice four mile walk, it’s amazing how good you feel after a little exercise! We stopped on the way home and picked up dinner and then finished off the evening with some TV. A pretty great Friday! I think that this morning I will try and get a few more cabinet doors done! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for a new challenge and I have the pleasure of sharing my card with you for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge

I do love to do some stamping! To create my card I stamped the hydrangea from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set onto a Post-it and cut it out with my scissors. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock is place into my MISTI and I stamped the flowers in Grape Soda and then just the edges in Peacock using the mask that I cut out. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in the same colors. The background needed a little something so I took a stylus and pressed it into the ink pads to create my dots! A nice somewhat simple one layer card that would be easy to make multiples of with the MISTI!

I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Embossing Challenge! We hope that you will play along with us and enter your card in the gallery over on the BLOG!ย Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us onย Instagramย andย Facebook! Thanks for coming by and spending some time with me! Have a super Saturday!! ๐Ÿ™‚
