Dreaming Sheep

Happy Friday!! It’s a little on the crisp side here this morning but that’s ok, wakes you up! I started work on the cabinets yesterday after spending the morning with Heather. I found that using the heat gun to remove the paint worked pretty well. I also found that getting the doors off was harder than stripping the paint! The screws are painted over, not fun! I finished off the evening with a nice Thirsty Thursday and helped George with some computer stuff before coming home. And just so you know after a year my friend Sam Smith has released a new single! Go and have a listen, it’s great! ๐Ÿ˜€

My card for today is really simple! I was looking at the August 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit and spotted a sheep in the set that I hadn’t seen before! I stamped the sheep three times in Hero Arts Black Ink onto some Solar White 110lb and cut them out with the Coordinating Die. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped my greeting and then added the sheep around it with 3D Foam Squares. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! Like I said super simple but a nice way to let someone that you love know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have yourselves a fun filled Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 304

A holiday on a Monday always makes the week move a little faster! It was sort of overcast and rainy on and off for most of the day so I thought that it would be the perfect day to catch up on my neglected blog comments. I read them as they come in but I have been bad at responding lately. But after three hours they have all been responded to! I feel the love from you guys and you should always feel it right back! I didn’t get much else done but today is a new day to accomplish! Maybe I will give the kitchen cabinets a try! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches to share with you…

To start I stamped the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Grape Soda, Sugarplum, Plastic Flamingo and Bubblegum using my MISTI onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. They are are adhered to a piece of 27lb Pastel Pink Vellum and then adhered to the card! A simple bright birthday card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you so much for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Pearlescent Pineapple – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again! I’m back with post number two for today! It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. Be sure and stop by there too!

The card that I created uses the Concord & 9th Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. To color in the image I used my FineTec Pearl Watercolors and an Aquawash Brush. After it dried I used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out along with the greeting that is heat embossed onto a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The pineapple and greeting are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with another piece of White Gold Metallic that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers 3D Woven Embossing Folder. I do love the Pearl Watercolors, so nice and subtle. The pictures doesn’t do them justice, they look so much better in real life!

SIP Challenge 115 – Colors!

One day back and I miss the lake! LOL! I did have a nice day, did some cleaning in the morning and then decided that I couldn’t stand looking at the hideous wallpaper border around the soffit in my kitchen so I started to take that down. Wallpaper is annoying! This then spiraled into me thinking about repainting the cabinets, they are a hideous peach color right now… don’t ask! I’ll take some before pictures and then when it’s all finished I’ll post the final results. It will be a while, I don’t want to rush through it and I don’t know how long it’s going to take to get the layers of paint off of the cabinets!! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today is Tuesday even though because of the Holiday it feels like a Monday! That means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

For some reason I had it in my head that I wanted to use one of the fairies from last year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit so I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her in with Copics. She is cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The trail of stars and the greeting are from this year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the stars in Butter Bar and the greeting in Tide Pool right onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The fairy is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Platinum Sequins complete the card! I do love that little fairy especially with the trail of stars behind her! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Go and see the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 360

Well, I had a wonderful time in PA! I needed to get away from everything for a bit and that is one of the best places to do just that! It’s so peaceful and relaxing at Jim’s house up there. We spent some time antiquing, the afternoons by the lake and the evenings around the fire. I got to meet most of his family and they were great! I had so much fun! The ride home yesterday morning was actually pretty good despite the rain all the way. Traffic was light so I guess I’ll take the rain. I stopped by Jim’s for a little bit after I got home and then came back and had dinner with my Parent’s. The rest of my evening was spent doing a little more organizing with a little TV thrown in for good measure! I hope that you all had a great weekend too! I missed you all for the past two days! ๐Ÿ˜€

To start off this week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

The card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background and piece of notebook paper are from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Paper Pad. I used the Simon Says Stamp Notebook Edges Die to cut the left side and adhered it on top of the map at an angle. The flowers are from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Pale Blush Pink and Green Apple onto Desert Storm 80lb. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them in the upper right. For the greeting I stamped the letters from the Simon Says Stamp Game Tiles Letters Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black onto die cut pieces of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood Paper Pad and adhered them to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love the Scrabble Tiles and the map paper, makes for a fun card don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Welcome Pineapple – Concord & 9th Guest Designer for Feature Friday!

A chilly happy Friday to you from Keen Lake, PA! It went down to 40 degrees here last night, I’m not ready for that! LOL! I did have a nice day yesterday, Jim and I ran some errands in the morning and fixed the screen door. Then it was off to the lake to sit and enjoy, lots off people there to chat with. We had a late dinner and then it was off to the fire to end the evening. It really is so nice here, just peaceful and very relaxing, just what I needed! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have the pleasure of being a Guest Designer for Concord & 9th this month along with the rest of the fabulous Design Team over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! It’s our last Friday to feature a new product from the August Release! This week it’s the cool Pineapple Perfection Stamps and Dies!

I started my card by stamping the pineapple from the Pineapple Perfection Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice and then using the fill-in images, stamping them inย Fresh Lavender, Freshly Cut Grass, Moonstone and Ballet Slippers using my Mini MISTI. The greeting is stamped in Black Licorice and then I cut them out using the Coordinating Dies. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of paper from the Aloha Fill-In Patterned Paper Pack. All that was left to do was to adhere the pineapple and greeting to the card! I love that nice big pineapple and the fill-in images make it so easy to “color” it in!

I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer card for Concord & 9th! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of talented Teammate’s projects! I thank you so much for stopping by, I’ll see you back here on Monday!! Enjoy the rest of your Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Grateful Pinecone Wreath

Good morning my peeps! Hope everyone had an amazing day yesterday along with me! My apartment is finally the way I wanted when I set out on this mission, beautiful and spacious! LOL! Who knew a little purging could make such a big difference?! I spent a little time outside yesterday too, having some coffee and reading the news in the beautiful weather! No more rain here today! I went out and got some shelves to finish up a few last minute organization projects, and I think they’re going to work perfectly! I just have to find a little more time to stain them! I also want to let you guys know that this weekend I will be out of town. I’m taking a little last minute trip up to Pennsylvania to spend some time with Jim at his cabin and enjoy the lake! There will be no post on Saturday or Sunday, but I will return to my regular posting on Monday! ๐Ÿ˜€

Lets jump into the card! For my base I used my trusty Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create the background, I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp onto a piece of Desert Storm and attached it with the E-Z Runner to the card base. I then ink blended the die cuts from the Hero Arts September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and clustered them together. They are attached the with a little Multi-Matte Medium and some 3D Foam Squares to give the smaller pieces a little dimension on the wreath that is die cut from some Chocolate Chip twice. Then, I took my Just Rust ink and stamped my “grateful” from the September My Monthly Hero Kit right onto the background paper. I hope you all enjoy my attempt to embrace the forthcoming cooler weather with this fall themed card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I’ll be back tomorrow with a post for Concord & 9th! Enjoy your Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 258

It was overcast here all morning and then the rain started around 2:00. I went over to Heather’s and we ran some errands, had a little lunch and then did an early Thirsty Thursday last night with Stephanie. Not bad for a rainy Tuesday! I’ll get back to my cleaning and purging this morning. I can’t seem to stop which is a good thing! ๐Ÿ˜€

For our mid-week fun I have my Paper Craft Crew card…

Maybe it was the gloom and chill yesterday but I felt compelled to make a winter card. LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used a piece of paper from the Trim Craft Silent Night 6×6 Paper Pad with a piece of Soft Sky across the bottom and then a flagged piece of Smoky Slate along the center. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s S’Mitten Stamp & Cut and they are stamped in Soft Granite and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the Snow Day and Mittens with 3D Foam Squares with a little Silver Thread behind. Five Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finish the card. I’m not looking forward to the colder weather but I do love me some winter colors! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! SIP Challenge 114 – A Sketch!

Yes, the cleaning and purging continues! It feels so good to get rid of things that I haven’t touched in years! I have become somewhat of a minimalist where before I was a collector of many things. I guess I owe that in part to my friend Jim, so much easier to maintain the house when you don’t have to move so much to clean! LOL! In the evening I ran a few errands with Heather and then made my card for today. More cleaning and purging is on tap for this morning! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday and that means it time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The sketch is actually mine so I had the idea in my head for the card when I created it! I used the Concord & 9th Flower Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI and Ballet Slippers and Minty Fresh Ink to create my background. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My images are from the Concord & 9th Let’s Chat Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are stamped in Hippo and cut out with my Scissors. The latte heart is stamped in Doe. I adhered them to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. For the greeting I choose one of my favorites from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped that in Doe and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. It looks like the coffee is sitting on a pretty tablecloth doesn’t it?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 359

It’s the last Monday in August?! Where did that month go?! I’m not looking forward to the Summer ending and Fall beginning at all! We’ll have to make the best of what’s left! I managed to get a lot more purging accomplished yesterday. I have come to the realization that I’m really good at playing Tetris in real life! LOL! I have stuff crammed in a ll sorts of places! Three more bags of trash and another bag of shredding are gone. I’ll continue this morning and then do a little cleaning later on. Another productive day is ahead peeps! ๐Ÿ˜€

I did pause to make a card yesterday and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I stared my card by creating a stamped background on a piece of Solar White 80lb with the stamps from the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the cupcake outlines in Black Licorice and then filled them in with Fresh Lavender and Ballet Slippers with a little Plastic Flamingo for the sprinkles. An extra one is stamped separately and cut out with the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies. I used the largest circle from the Simon Says Stamp Nested Circles Dies to trim the stamped panel and adhered it to piece of Guava with some random sprinkles stamped in Plastic Flamingo. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is stamped in Black Licorice onto a circle of Solar White 80lb and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares along with the single cupcake. A few Pretty Pink Posh Orchid and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card. A fun little twist on a birthday card, don’t you think?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off here on the blog with me! Have a highly productive and fun Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚
