Freshly Made Sketches 297

We are on a roll! Productive days are here to stay! LOL! I got all of my list accomplished yesterday and spent some time outside enjoying the weather! Taylor came by in the afternoon and we had dinner with my Parents. After, Heather stopped by and we ran some errands, she dropped me off and then I went over to her house for a bit. When I came home Taylor and I started to watch The Fall on Netflix. A very odd and disturbing show. This morning I have some odds and ends to take care of, another productive day is ahead! πŸ˜€

My card that I made yesterday is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

The card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock cut so that when it’s folded it measures 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″. The background is a piece of Soft Sky layered on top of a piece of Blushing Bride. My image is from the Concord & 9th Unicorn Awesomeness Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I colored in the horn and hooves with my Signo Gold Gel Pen and cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. In the Dies there is the word magic and that is cut from some Gold Glitter Card Stock. I adhered the unicorn with 3M Foam Tape and the magic with Multi-Matte Medium. A heavy dose of Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen is on the mane and tail along with a few spots on the body and to finish the card I added a bunch of gold dots with the Gold Pen. There are a lot of unicorns out there but I have to say this one is my favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for visiting! Have a great Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 252

We have been very lucky with the weather lately! Another beautiful day! I did get a ton of stuff done yesterday! Spoke to my friend Greg in Indiana, worked on a few projects, made a card! I had dinner with my Parents and then Heather stopped by for a bit. Taylor came by later on and we listened to 80’s and 90’s music. I’m going to make today another get stuff done day! πŸ˜€

The card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I used one of my new favorite sets from Concord & 9th! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Dies to cut out a piece of Desert Storm and stamped the woodgrain strip from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Doe. The flowers and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Sunflower and Noble Fir. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card along with the Palette. I stamped the greeting, also from the same set, in Noble Fir, flagged the right end and adhered it to the card with more 3M Foam Tape. A few more flowers and a leaf are added to the left of the greeting. Some Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Sequins complete the card! I do love that palette and the bright yellow flowers! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to get inspired and add your card to the gallery! I thank you so much for stopping by! Have an interesting Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 108 – Fabulous Flowers!

Hello my friends! I’m so happy that you liked the pictures from this weekend’s projects! Jim says thank you too! Yesterday I did get a few things done in the morning, ran to the Post Office and had dinner with my Parents and Taylor. The child then came to my house and hung out with me for a while. I watched a little TV before bed to unwind a bit. I have a few phone calls to make this morning and then some projects to get finished! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Ahh, florals! I have way too many how about you?! LOL! I started my card with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my panel I used another piece of 110lb Card Stock and the Concord & 9th Hope Labels Die. My flowers and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Hope Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers in Grape Soda and Juice Box, the leaves in JalapeΓ±o and the greeting in Juice Box. To make the HOPE a little sparkly I adhered a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock to the card base before adhering the panel to the card with 3M Foam Tape. A fun simple card with some neat flowers and a fun greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the team’s cards and let’s see your floral creation in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Fabulous Friend

A very happy Monday to you! I had another super productive day yesterday with Jim. We finished all of our projects and I have a few pictures to share with you! First is a little storage made with unfinished wood crates from Michaels. We stained them and used screws to hold the two larger ones together…

Next up is the new table set up. I love the “chandelier” over the table…

Such a nice little set up to welcome you to the house! We added the flower boxes too! It really was a lot of fun to get everything done and then see the finished product! Can’t wait to see what’s next! He made a delicious dinner as always and we sat on the porch and enjoyed it for a while before I headed home. Today I hope to get all caught up on some of my projects! πŸ˜€

I got home late again last night so I needed another quick card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting and images from the Concord & 9th Aloha Friend Photopolymer Stamp Set. The greeting is stamped in Hippo and the flowers in Freshly Cut Grass and Peachy Keen using my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp everything. I added Pretty Pink Posh Lemon Drop Sequins and Pearls to the centers of the flowers and the card is done! I love the flowers in that set and the fun greetings! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have an absolutely amazing Monday! πŸ™‚

Moonstone Hydrangea

Well that was a very busy but productive Saturday at Jim’s! We refinished a coffee table, painted some furniture and lamps and painted the front patio floor! A few trips to Ace Hardware and Michaels and a nice dinner! What a fun way to spend a Saturday! I’ll be back over there today to finish up! πŸ˜€

When I got home last night I had to make a quick card and since it’s Simple Sunday it fits! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Petals & Palettes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Moonstone for the hydrangeas and JalapeΓ±o for the leaves and stems. I stamped an additional hydrangea and used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black Licorice. That’s it! A nice floral thank you card! I love the Moonstone ink for the hydrangeas, it’s perfect! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a simply perfect Sunday! πŸ™‚

Paper Players 352 & Freshly Made Sketches 296

Well, I did get some of the stuff done that I wanted to finish yesterday. I also had to take a ride over to Heather’s job to drop something off to her. When I got back home I went next door to do some laundry and locked myself out of the house! Don’t know how that happened! Around 5:30 I headed over to Heather’s, she made me dinner and we ran some errands. A good way to end the evening! This morning more stuff that needs to get done will get done! πŸ˜€

I have a double challenge card for you today! That almost never happens but I wanted to get my Paper Players card in before it was too late and I had an idea for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge so I combined them! Here are the two challenges…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the My Favorite Things Romantic Script Background in Smoke Ink onto another piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The bird is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bird and Branch Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped him in Thistle, Hot Mama and Grape Juice, his feet in Khaki, and then used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out. His feet are adhered with E-Z Runner and the body with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. It’s adhered in the lower right corner and the card is done! I love that scripty background and the fun bird! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players and Freshly Made Sketches Challenges! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! πŸ™‚

OSAT July Blog Hop – Very Vintage!

Another nice sunny day and I managed to be productive again! I got a few things done in the morning and watched a little TV. Jim came by after work and we had Chinese for dinner and watched Maleficent, still love that movie! I also ran over to Heather’s for a bit before calling it a night. Today I have lots more computer related stuff to get done. No TV until it is! LOL! πŸ˜€

For my projects today I’m participating in a blogΒ hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the clever Jeanna Bohanon’sΒ blog, welcome! This month we have a Vintage Theme! I’m not very good at vintage but I did have a lot of fun making my card!!

I started the card by choosing a piece of paper from the Prima Jodie Lee Butterfly A4 Paper Pad and I used the Tim Holtz Mixed Media #2 Dies to cut out the upper left corner. It is adhered to a piece of Early Espresso with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The butterfly is cut from another piece of paper from the same pad and a piece of Solar White 110lb. I coated the white with Versa-Mark and dipped it into my Hero Arts Copper Embossing Power and heat embossed it. Some more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive adheres the two butterfly pieces together. My greeting is from the Papertrey Ink Think Big Favorites Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more Copper onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I folded the edges around the back of the background and adhered it to a card base Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The butterfly is adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape and just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card. I do love that paper and the Mixed Media Die along with the butterfly! Makes for a fun card!

Paper Craft Crew 251

Yup, I had a nice productive day with my friend Sue yesterday! We got a lot of things done! I had a really quick dinner with my Parent’s when I got home and then headed over to see Heather. She had to go for an eye exam so I took the ride and then we hung out at her house for a bit. A little trip to Target before calling it a night and that was my day! I’ll be spending some time in front of the computer today playing catchup today! Fun! πŸ˜€

So, it’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I have to be honest, it took me a while to find something new! When you make a card a day like I do you tend to use all of your goodies as soon as you get them! I found a Pinkfresh Studio Set that I hadn’t inked up so I used it to make a super simple card! To start I stamped my greeting From the Pinkfresh Studio So Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 100lb Card Stock. The squares are stamped next in Jet Black and the outlined ones are colored in with my Copic R27 Marker. The ink spots are also stamped in Jet Black and for a little interest I adhered a few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets over some of them with Multi-Matte Medium. That’s it! Super simple with some pops of color! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 107 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

So, I didn’t turn on the TV in the morning and managed to get a bunch of things done that I needed to finish! I also ran a few errands and then watched a little TV last night. It was nice and sunny so I got in some outside time too! Taylor stopped by for a few minutes just to say hi. Today I’m off to Sue’s to work on some Etsy stuff! Another productive day is ahead! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used the Stampin’ Up! Brick Wall Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and a piece of Smoky Slate. Next up is another piece of Solar White 110lb cut out with the Lawn Fawn Say Cheese Lawn Cut. I stamped the greeting from the W Plus 9 Fanciful Feathers Photopolymer Stamp Set in Navy along the bottom of the frame. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. My feathers are also from the Fanciful Feathers Set. I heat embossed them onto die cut Cobalt Vellum in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder. A Wooden Button with some Grey Twine tied into a bow is adhered over the Feather and helps hold them to the frame. To give the card some more interest and a little sparkle I added some Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold and Pewter Sequins and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars! I love the feathers in the copper on the cobalt vellum and I’m glad that I remembered that I had that Stampin’ Up! Embossing Folder! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see your take on the challenge! Sparkly Bold Blossom

Ahh… the start of another week and new possibilities! It was a gorgeous day yesterday, I tried to get some things done in the morning but was thwarted by wanting to use a stamp set that I couldn’t find! You know when you have that idea for a card in your head and it needs to get out but you can’t find what you’re looking for! LOL! I did have a nice afternoon, Jim came by and we hung out on the couch and watched some Beach House Hunters episodes. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done and I will! No TV! πŸ˜€

My card that I have for you is a rather simple one, just dies! I started by cutting some Silver and Gold Glitter Card Stock with the Essentials By Ellen Bold Blooms Stand Alone Dies. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut it so that when I folded it it was 5 1/4″ by 3 3/4″ so I could let the die cuts hang off the edge and it would still fit in a standard envelope. A strip of Black 110lb is adhered over the flowers and leaves. My greeting is also cut from Gold Glitter Card Stock using one of the word dies from the Essentials by Ellen Zipper Panel Dies. It’s adhered to the black strip and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Silver Sequins complete the card! I do love all of the sparkle and the flowers and leaves are faves of mine! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚
