Paper Players 335

Still absolutely freezing here and the wind down by the Store is unreal! It feels more like Winter now that it has all Winter! I keep telling myself that Spring is just around the corner, I guess we are still a few blocks from that corner! Other than the wind by the Store it was a nice day inside. I got more accomplished than I thought I would, that’s always a nice surprise! On my way home I spoke to Sue and then Heather. When I got to my Parent’s Daniel and my Brother were there so we all had dinner together. After dinner I spoke to Andrew and Jim, it was a busy phone night! Later on I took a ride over to Sue’s and spent a little time with her and her Husband Joe. We had a nice evening. I got a text from a friend that was so sweet, you know of those ones that just makes your heart feel full, what a wonderful way to end the day! Today is day one of this month’s Lawn Fawn Card Class, can’t wait to see all of my peeps!

While I was at the store I made a quick card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I used some more of the Add-Ons to the March My Monthly Hero Kit! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wood Floor Bold Prints Background to stamp a piece of Solar White 80lb in Soft Brown and adhered it to the card front. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Produce and Seeds Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Lemon Lime. I backed it with a piece of Crisp Green and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam at a slight angle. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Shimmer Mix Sequins and the card is done! I absolutely love that Wood Floor Background, it’s soon to be a favorite for sure! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 235

Well, guess what?! The weather men were thankfully wrong and we only got about 4 inches of snow and then it rained. The snow was really heavy to shovel as you can imagine, still better than the 18 inches that they said we were going to get! I’m sure that the ride to the Store will be fun, it certainly all froze overnight. I spent the day in the house yesterday watching TV and relaxing. I did make my card for today but that was about it. I’ll be glad to get out of the house today! 😀

The card that I made in the Stampin’ Galley is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch…

I used the March My Monthly Hero Kit to make my card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of Carta Bella Copper Dots Vellum 12×12 down the left side. I stamped my images from the March My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. The Coordinating Dies cut them out. I used a Craft Knife to be able to slide my carrots into the basket. The circle is a piece of Lawn Fawn Noble Fir cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I heat embossed the greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. A strip of Tip Top Taupe and a strip of Tangelo Twist are adhered across the card and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All that was left to do was to adhere my bunny and basket with some 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! Love that little rabbit and his basket of carrots, so cute! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 90 – Shaker Card!

Ugh! SNOW! They keep changing the totals but we are to get between 5 to 18 inches! That’s way too much! I know that I keep on whining but I’m over Winter already! Hopefully this will be the last hurrah and we will be able to move on to warmer temps! It was another nice day at the Store! My friend Arnise stopped by and Angie was in too. I got some things accomplished and also brought my stuff home, the Store will be closed today. I’ll get to craft in the Stampin’ Galley! I had a quick dinner with my Parents when I got home, chatted with Heather for a bit and then Jim came by. We watched YouTube videos and just hung out. A nice relaxing evening with a friend, who could ask for anything more?!

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we ask you to join us and make a shaker card…

I do love to make a shaker and it’s been a while since I have. I started out by cutting a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Ovals Stackables Lawn Cuts and using both sides to add some Fish Tank and Merman Ink to another piece of Solar White 80lb with my Mini Ink Blending Tool. All of my images are from the Sunny Studio Froggy Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them all in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. They are then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the Lilly pad to my background and stamped the ripples in Fish Tank. The cattails and flower are then added and the sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. To make my frame I cut out a piece of Deep Blue with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts and adhered a piece of Acetate to back with Scor-Tape. A single layer of 3M Foam Tape is added and then I sprinkled some Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Shimmer Mix Sequins onto the background and adhered the frame over it. The frog and the flies are adhered with more 3M Foam Tape onto the Acetate and then the whole thing is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I love that super happy little frog and the flies, so cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Shaker Card Challenge! Make sure and stop by the BLOG to see what the rest of the talented Design Team has made to inspire you and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 488

The start of a new week and they are calling for about a foot of snow for tomorrow! Really?! It’s March people, enough already! LOL! I played hooky from the Store yesterday, I have so many things that I need to get done around the house and I just needed a real day off! I went over to Heather’s in the morning and her George and I had breakfast. After that she and I went food shopping. When we got back I helped George put up some crown moulding and then Heather and I came back to my house to a bit of cleaning. I’m happy to report that I have a dining room table! Around 4:00 Taylor stopped by and then my friend Jim came over. We went to BestBuy and BJ’s to pick ups a few things, picked up dinner and had a nice meal at said table! After that we worked on a little project. Today I’m back at the Store with a little catching up to do! 😀

Monday’s mean that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I played with some new stamps from Sunny Studio for today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of Bo Bunny Double Dot Wasabi Stripe Paper, torn on the top and bottom, adhered down the left side. My flowers and greeting are from the Sunny Studio Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers and leaves in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Lobster, Jalapeño and Noble Fir Ink with my Mini MISTI and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Merman Ink to it and trimmed off the edges. The greeting is stamped in Noble Fir and the panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flowers are added with a Quickie Glue Pen and 3D Foam Squares. I was going to add some Sequins or Clear Drops but decided that I like the card just the way it was! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for starting another week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Simple Fab Flowers

Hello from the frozen tundra! It’s really cold and super windy here again! It was a nice day at the Store, toasty warm with all of the ladies at the Crop. I spent some time with my friend Evelyn straightening out her iMac in the morning and then made a few cards. Evelyn also made the Pop-Up Box Card from last week’s class. After work I had some Chinese with my Parents and then came home and relaxed. A nice quiet evening, just what I needed!

Today I have a nice simple card using one of my favorite sets from the latest Lawn Fawn Release! I created my card base from some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Fab Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the stems and leaves in Jalapeño and Noble Fir onto the card base. My flowers are stamped in Fresh Lavender and Sugarplum onto some Solar White 80lb and cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I adhered them to the card with 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to stamp the butterfly and greeting in the same colors as the roses and then card is done. Super simple and would make a nice set of cards to give to someone! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thanks for spending a little of your day with me! Have a simple Sunday my friends! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 278

As they promised it snowed for much of the day. We got about 4 inches or so but thankfully it didn’t really stick to the roads. I got to the Store and Renee said that she was going to stay home. She lives an hour away so better to be safe than sorry. I got a few things done and then around 1:00PM we decided to close. Heather was off yesterday because she had another procedure on her back so I went straight to her house from work. I got all caught up on my blog comments! Finally! Sorry for the delay! I do read them as they come in but the bank issues on Tuesday really messed up my week. I ran home around 5:00 and saw my little buddy Daniel, Tristan, Jason, Erika and my Parent’s for a bit and then went back over to Heather’s for dinner. She is watching This is Us, trying to get caught up so I watched a few episodes with her. I think she only has five left! Today there is a crop at the Store so it will be a very fun Saturday! 😀

The card that I have for you is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I have a few new things from Sunny Studios and I haven’t really made an Easter card so I decided I need to make at least one! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Ballerina Pink. I used two pieces of paper from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper Pad, one yellow and one green. On the green one I stamped my greeting from the Sunny Studios A Good Egg Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the paper to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images are from the same set and are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. The Coordinating Dies cut the out and some 3D Foam Squares hold all of them to the card. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Pink Blush, Raspberry and Amethyst Sequins and the card is finished! I do love that set especially the cute little happy chick! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

Paper Players 334

Guess what?! It’s Winter here again! Why won’t he stay away?! We are having some snow this morning, over it people! But it is Friday! So at least that’s good! I had a solo day at the Store yesterday. My Parents came by for a visit and we FaceTimed with my Aunt Shirley in England. Jan also stopped by to make the Pop-Up Card from last week’s class. After work I had dinner and then headed over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. Stephanie was there and Brian stopped by too. Hopefully the roads won’t be bad and I’ll be able to get to the Store today. Ugh! Enough with the snow already! 😀

I did have a little crafty time at the Store and I made a card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I began by stamping the beautiful image from The Ton Haute Wedding Dress Photopolymer Stamp Set In Memento Tuxedo Black and using my Copics to color her in. I cut the image out with my scissors and then ran a Memento Tuxedo Black Pen around the edges. To give it some sparkle I used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to give a nice sheen to the dress. The background is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I heat embossed the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background in Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder. I added some Ballet Slippers Ink to the background with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. A strip of paper from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper Pad goes down the left side. I adhered the main image to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Perfectly Penned Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto another piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ovals Stackables Lawn Cuts and that too is adhered with 3D Foam Squares. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins from the Sweet Pea Mix and the card is done! I have liked that stamp since I first saw it and I couldn’t hold out any longer! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have a fun Friday! 🙂

OSAT March Blog Hop – Birthday Bash!

Hey hey! Happy Thursday! I had a nice productive day at the Store after I had to stop at the bank again yesterday morning! My ATM card didn’t work, thanks citibank! I’ve definitely seen enough of them this week! LOL! Renee had her Kiwi Lane class and my Parent’s stopped by in the morning for a bit. After work I came home and spoke to Heather for a bit. My friend Jim came by and we had dinner, Zorn’s which I haven’t had in forever, and listened to music and talked. A very nice way to end the day indeed!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Megan Thompson, welcome! This month we have a Birthday Bash theme! I don’t know about you but I can always use a Birthday card! I made a card and a coordinating gift box to share with you today!

First up is my card! I used the Lawn Fawn Out of This World Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped some of the images from the set in Lawn Fawn Jet Black Ink so that I could color them in with my Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I cut a piece of Black to be slightly smaller than my card front and heat embossed the greeting in the bottom left with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The background is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added the images to the card with 3D Foam Squares and then stamped one of the stars from the set in Yeti Ink randomly over the background. Finally I used my Signo White Gel Pen to add dots to the background and give it a little more of a space feel. I think this would make a great card for a little boy’s Birthday, don’t you?

Next I have the coordinating box. I used the Lawn Fawn Fancy Box Lawn Cut to cut out the box and then used the Lawn Fawn Starry Skies Lawn Cut to cut out the stars from the lid. Some more images from the Out of This World Set are stamped, colored and cut out. I adhered the box together and added the stamped images to the lid with 3D Foam Squares. Again, I stamped the stars and added some dots and it’s done! I love that box, it’s a nice different way to give a gift card or a little present!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and gift box  for the OSAT Birthday Bash Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to go back to the start and see what the talented Lori Mueller has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 234

Halfway though, almost there! I had an interesting day yesterday. My checking account got screwed up by citibank, they cashed someone else check in my account and were very unhelpful, in fact it may be the worst customer service experience I have ever had! But with a little help from Heather we got it straightened out. Glad that we had to do all of the work to figure out what went wrong. Thanks citibank, I’ll definitely recommend you to my friends… NOT! So that ended up consuming most of my day. I did manage to get a few cards made while I was at the Store. When I got home I had dinner and then went out for a while with Taylor. To end the evening I watched a movie and soaked my feet. Today will be a much better day!! 😀

Since it’s Wednesday that means we have a new Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I actually managed to keep my card nice and simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Starry Skies Lawn Cuts to cut out the starts from a piece of Black. My piece of paper across the top as well as the two flagged pieces are from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper Pad. I adhered the purple and light blue, tied a piece of Hemptique Black Hemp Cord in a blow and then adhered the other blue piece over that with 3D Foam Squares. After it was all together I adhered the piece to the card base. Next I heat embossed the one of the banners from the Lawn Fawn Bannertastic Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black and then added the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Out of This World Photopolymer Stamp Set, slightly bending the stamp to follow the curve of the banner. A little E-Z Runner holds that in place. I also stamped the rocket from the Out of This World Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with my Copics. The Coordinating Dies are used to cut it out and a 3D Foam Squares holds it in place. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Onyx Sequins and the card is done! I love the simplicity of the card and the colors! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see what I’ve been up to! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 89 – A Sketch!

Yup, still cold here! I did have a very fun day in Manhattan yesterday! Ella and I had a nice visit and took a little trip to the Apple Store to get her iPhone fixed. From there I headed down to The Ink Pad to see my friend Anna! We got caught up and I had some Dirty Bird for lunch, delicious. I took the 3:01 train back out to the Island and got to spend some time with my Brother, Erika, Daniel and Tristan. We had cake for my Dad’s birthday which was on the 1st. I stopped home quick and then went over to Heather’s so that we could take a drive to see our friends Patti and Tom and the kids. We had a nice time and quick ride home. Today I’m back at the Store with lots of things to catch up on! 😀

It’s time now for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I do love a new release from Lawn Fawn and I haven’t really played with the Bicycle Built for You Set yet so that’s what I used on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of Lawn Fawn Rudolph 12×12 Paper and a thin strip of Black Licorice down the left side. To create my little scene I cut out a piece of Mermaid with the Lawn Fawn Zig Zag Circles Stackables, I also used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders to cut out a piece of Noble Fir and the Lawn Fawn Road Border to cut out a piece of Black Licorice and Solar White 80lb. The Zig Zag Circles are used again to cut the edges off of them and they are lined them with the Mermaid Circle to adhere them all together. I used a some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhere the circle to the card. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored them in with Copics and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to stamp the greeting in the lower right! I do like the set and all of the little pieces that you can change up! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards including this month’s Guest Designer Sue Plote! We hope that you will share your take on the sketch by adding it to the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
