Paper Players 321

Hi there! We had another lovely day yesterday! I completely forgot that I had a haircut yesterday morning until my iPhone reminded me! After my haircut I headed over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and got busy checking in my Notions order. I received lots of fun new goodies including some Pinkfresh Studio Stamps and WOW! Embossing Powder, I can’t wait to play with that stuff! After work I came home and had a quick dinner and then Andrew came by. We continued working on our little project, hopefully we will finish on schedule! Today is the first day of this month’s Card Class featuring Concord & 9th! Looking forward to seeing my students! 😀

I have been making some kits at the Store and one of the Holiday Kits still available for purchase. I wanted to let you know about it before I offered it elsewhere! It features Lawn Fawn Stamps, Dies, Ink, Patterned Paper and an Acrylic Block. There are four examples included on a sheet in the kit and supplies to make a lot of cards! If you are interested in purchasing the kit you can click HERE. Below is a picture of the Kit including a list of all that is included!

Now on to today’s post which is for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge

paper-players-321

My card all began with me wanting to use the new Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock with the front covered in a piece of Hunter Green. I die cut a piece of Classic Cherry with the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die. In the lower left corner I stamped the trees from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Pigment Ink and did the same for the greeting across the bottom. A piece of Acetate is adhered to the back and then I used the large open heart from the dies set to cut out a piece of Fun Foam. That is then adhered to the panel with E-Z Runner. I added my Silver Pretty Pink Posh Sequins to the card and then adhered the panel over the top. The small heart from the die set is used to cut out a piece of Silver Glitter Card and I adhered it to the center of the heart with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh Lime Sorbet Sequins adhered randomly compete the card! I think that the Heartstrings Die Cut makes it look like love is shining down on the Christmas trees! Corny I know! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you for coming by to visit me today! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 219

Yesterday flew by at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! It rained most of the day, sometimes poured but Angie, Renee and I were very productive! I got a few cards made and sent out a reminder email for this week’s Card Class. After work I came home, had dinner with my Parents and then Heather came by to get me so we could run to BJ’s and Target. I desperately needed creamer! LOL! I couldn’t get my usual Italian Sweet Cream and had to get Hazelnut on Sunday, I haven’t had a good cup of coffee since then! As soon as I got back I made a cup and remembered how much of a difference a good creamer makes! Today I have to get ready for this week’s class, I don’t think that Sue will be joining me, she has my friend John the Painter at her house. 😀

So it’s Wednesday, time for another Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

pcccs219-dt-sketch-11-15-2016

In Concord & 9th’s release this month they brought back an older set that I actually didn’t have and that’s what I used on my card today! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Crd Stock. For my background I used a piece of Kraft. I stamped the greeting in Hero Arts Black Ink from the Concord & 9th Let’s Chat Photopolymer Stamp Set and then wrapped some May Arts Natural Twine around the top and tied it in a bow. The panel is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My images are from the same set, the spoon is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder into a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic, the cup and saucer are stamped in Black onto some Ivory 110lb. I cut all of the images out with my Scissors and then stamped the coffee in Soft Brown, dried it with my Heat Tool and then stamped the latte heart in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The saucer and spoon are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and the cup with 3D Foam Squares. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Onyx and Sand Sequins and the card is done! I do love this set, well, the theme is related to coffee! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to head over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery! Thanks for your visit today! Have a wild and wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 74 – CAS Christmas!

Another lovely day! I’m starting to cherish them as I know they won’t be around for much longer! The Stamp, Ink, Paper store was great! Angie was there today, she has some vacation time to use before the end of the year. We all worked on projects and had quite the productive day! I got my Concord & 9th and it’s all checked in! I did play a little with some of it, love new goodies! After work I went over to my Brother’s and met my Parents there for dinner. Daniel and I played with his new birthday presents, he showed me how they all worked. I got home around 8:00 and did some stuff around the house and watched a little HGTV. I have so much to get done this week, there really aren’t enough hours in the day! 😀

Tuesday… it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and we have a fun this week…

sip-theme-74-800

Clean and Simple Christmas! I used a Hero Set that I have had for a while! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints Background Stamp in Hero Arts Soft Vanilla onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the card. A strip of Champagne Curious Metallic goes down the left side. My images are from the Hero Arts Origami Holiday Stamp & Die Combo Set. They are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto more Solar White 80lb and then I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Hero Arts Soft Brown, Red Royal and Charcoal Ink over the images. They are ten cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Christmas Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black in the lower right corner. I decided not to add anything else to keep it very clean! I hope that you like my Design Team Card fro this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Clean and Simple Christmas challenge! Mojo Monday 474

Day two of classes with Eileen Hull at the Store was fun! The ladies really enjoyed their projects and she was an excellent teacher! I got a card made and my Parent’s and my friends Marissa and Sandy came by to visit! It was actually a really nice day here too, sunny and not too cold. On the way to the Store in the morning I had to stop by Heather’s and take some pictures of her furniture that she’s selling and send them to her and stop at Aldi to get some creamer. After work I had dinner with my Parent’s and Taylor, Sunday nights have become Chinese food night, I do love some Broccoli and Garlic Sauce! After that I came home and watched a little TV and then spoke to Danielle on the phone for a while. A quick trip to get gas and to Target to get some dog food for Winnie and I was done. Today I have projects to work on and my Concord & 9th order will be in! Loves me some Concord & 9th! 😀

Well, since it’s Monday that means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday challenge…

mojo474

As you will see from today’s card I’m full on obsessed with the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags Set! LOL! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I stamped the Hero Arts Holiday Florals Bold Prints Background Stamp in Green Fields onto a piece of Lemon Lime. Across the top is a strip of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. The coffee cup is from that set, the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags Stamp & Cut Combo. I stamped the cup in Grape Juice and the lid in Black, the Coordinating Dies cut them out. The cup is adhered to a piece of Crisp Green that I cut out the the Hero Arts Lia’s Joyful Tidings Tag Set with 3M Foam Tape. I adhered the ornament to the card with more Foam Tape. For my greeting I die cut the merry from the Hero Arts Merry Stamp & Cut Set from more Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb, they are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. I heat embossed the Christmas in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Solar White 80lb and flagged the left side. The greeting is then adhered to the card with more Foam Tape. I stamped the stars from the same set in Grape Juice and made one strip into a banner and cut the largest one out. The banner is tucked under the strip of gold across the top and the large one is adhered to the card with still more Foam Tape. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Gold Sequins scattered about and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen added to the large star and the card is finished! I really, really, really do love that coffee cup set, especially in purple! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! I thank you, as always, for beginning another week here with me! Have an awesome Monday! 🙂

Typed Crossword Hello

I had a busy day yesterday! There was the Run for the Warriors that closed some of the roads on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store so it took a little longer to get there, all for a good reason! Renee had a guest instructor, Eileen Hull, at the Store yesterday. She was great and had some awesome projects! I had to leave at 12:00 to go home and pick up Taylor, run a few errands and then head over to my Brother’s for Daniel’s 3rd Birthday! He was so cute playing with his cousins and friends! Here is a picture of the birthday boy…

daniel-3rd-birthday

I had to be home by 6:00 to meet Andrew who is helping me with some Store related things. We worked until 12:30 and still have more to go! He is so good at figuring things out and getting stuff done! It’s also easy to be motivated when there is someone else working with you! We have a lot more to do but it feels a bit more manageable! Plus, it’s nice to get to spend some time with him! 😀

So, remember that collage card that I made a week or so ago that I wasn’t thrilled with? Well, I have decided to share it today! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb. I used a piece of Authentique Mighty Collection 12×12 Paper for my background. A piece of Black 110lb is cut out with the Spellbinders Typewriter Shapeablities Die. For the paper in the typewrite I printed a vintage subway map out and adhered it inside a piece of Basic Gray that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Frames Lawn Cuts. I slid it into the top of the typewriter, it fit perfectly, and then adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My feathers are cut from another piece of the Mighty 12×12 Paper and some Gold Mirror Card using the Spellbinders Feathers Shapeablities Dies. I cut out a piece of Blushing Bride and more Gold Mirror Card using the dies from the Spellbinders Die of the Month #7 Set. All of the pieces are adhered with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Die cut from a piece of Black 110lb and Blushing Bride. I adhered them to each other, slightly offset, with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the card with more 3D Foam Squares. There had to be some sequins, Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Blush to be exact and a Black Enamel Dot placed in the middle of the flower. In the end I grew to like the card! LOL! I hope that you like it too! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a simple Sunday! 🙂

Fab Friday 100

I enjoyed my day in Manhattan yesterday as I always do! The train was late as it usually is but I got to read some of my book on the way in and enjoyed my time with Ella. I also wandered around a little before heading back out to the Island. Heather arrived in Florida with her luggage which she was quite happy about. Whenever she flies Delta they inevitably misplace it! I had dinner with my Parents and Taylor and then Taylor and I ran a few errands. I also got to spend a little time in the Stampin’ Galley and make my card for today! I miss the Stampin’ Galley! Today I’ll be back at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, lots to do! 😀

To finish off this week we have a new Fab Friday Challenge for you…

fab-fri-100-11-11-2016

I went with a nice simple almost one layer card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. All of my images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Love You, Mean It Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the circles twice in Versa-Mark onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and heat embossed them in Gold Embossing Powder. The rest of the images are stamped in Hero Arts Grape Juice, Butter Bar and Mint Julep with the greeting stamped in Grape Juice. I adhered the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam and added some Gold Seed Beads and Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the card to finish it off! I love the simplicity of the card, the greeting is wonderful and I always love when I can use just one Stamp Set! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! OSAT November Blog Hop – Let it Snow!

osat-blog-hop-banner

It was a gloomy day here on Long Island yesterday, it rained on and off. They continued the construction at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store but this time it was really noisy! Hopefully it will be done soon! I worked on a few projects at the Store and my friend Dianne stopped by, always nice to see her! I went straight over to Heather’s after work. She is leaving tomorrow for Florida, there will be no Thirsty Thursday this week. We had a nice evening, got some Subway for dinner and I helped her pack. This morning I’m off to Manhattan for a bit to see Ella. We know how I enjoy a little trip into the city!

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from my friend Pam Staples blog, welcome! This month we have a Let it Snow theme! Not that I want it to snow at all! LOL!! I have a card and some coordinating gift tags that I made with one of my favorite Hero Arts Sets to share with you!

First up is the card! I started with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and added a piece of Echo Park This & That 12×12 Paper for my background. I stamped the coffee cup from the Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tags & Dies Combo in Lime Green using my Mini MISTI to stamp it twice. The whipped cream is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Puff Embossing powder and then the cup and cream are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My mittens and greeting are from the Hero Arts Christmas Mittens Stamp & Die Combo and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out the mittens and flagged the left side of the greeting banner. They are all adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I added just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and a Gold Heat Embossed holly bunch to the coffee cup and the card is done! I do love that Coffee Cup Set… hmmm… might have something to do with my obsession with coffee?! 😀

osat-november-blog-hop-card-wm

Next I have three gift tags. They were super easy to make especially since I stamped them at the same time I stamped the pieces for the card! The sleeve and to and from are stamped in Red Royal. I punched a hole in the left side and added some Lawn Fawn Green Sparkle Single Cord Lawn Trimmings. For a little extra something I heat embossed one of the snowflakes from the Holiday Mittens Stamp & Die Combo in Hero Arts White Puff Embossing Powder and cut it out with the Coordinating Die. They are adhered to the tags with 3D Foam Squares. Quick and easy Holiday tags, way better than store bought!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Sparkle & Shine!

Hello again! This is my second post for today! It’s time once again for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge! We are up to number 3 and this one is a Sparkle & Shine Theme! Who doesn’t love a little sparkle and shine?! You all know that I do! You have until Wednesday, December 7th to play along, winners will be announced on Thursday, December 8th! Now here is this month’s challenge badge…

challenge-3-sparkle-shine

I finally got my hands on some of the Hero Arts Clear Acetate Note Cards and couldn’t wait to use one and that’s what my card base for today is! I used the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Dies to cut out a few from some American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock. I cut out three of the small leaves and one of the larger ones. From the larger one I die cut the grateful from the same set and again from a piece of American Crafts Black Glitter Card Stock. I then cut more leaves from Solar White 80lb, three more of the small ones and four more of the large ones. To one of those I added Dot Runner Adhesive and adhered the large gold leaf and then inlaid the Black grateful into it. The leaves are then adhered to the card front with more Dot Runner. On the inside I adhered the small white leaves and large leaf to cover up the adhesive and did the same directly behind the large leaf on the front and back of the back of the card so there was a place to write a greeting. I do love the way that the leaves seem to just float there, gives it a nice whimsical look! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Sparkle & Shine Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the super talented Design Team’s cards! We hope that you will enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thank you for coming by again today to share my second post for today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 218

I had a very nice day yesterday! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was a good time! I managed to get two cards made, run some errands and place some much needed orders! I snuck out a little early so that I could get to see Daniel before he went home. We had dinner together, he’s a slow eater, especially when he’s watching his hiPad! We played for a bit and then Andrew came over for a visit. He is helping me with a little project related to the store. Hopefully we will have it finished in a week or two! I’m excited to share with you what we are up to! After Andrew left I went over and met Heather and we stopped by Geroge’s and then picked up a few things at Target. When we got back to her house she made some fried green tomatoes and they were delicious! I had a bunch of things to do when I got home so by the time I made it into bed it was after 12:30. Today is a busy day here on the blog, I have the Paper Craft Crew post which you are reading now and at 11:00 I will have my post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge, so be sure to come back for that one too!

Speaking of the Paper Craft Crew we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe board for you this week…

pcccs218-dt-tic-tac-toe-11-09-2016

To start off today’s card I took a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Soft Purple and Tide Pool Ink to it. I then die cut the Hero Arts Jar Frame Cuts from it and stamped the snowflakes from the Hero Arts Wintertime Fun Photopolymer Stamp Set in more Tide Pool. Across the bottom is a piece of Kaiser Craft Mademoiselle 12×12 Paper with the bottom of the jar cut from it. I adhered it to the panel and then adhered a piece of Acetate to the back. On the jar that I die cut I stamped the jar in Tide Pool and the images from the Hero Arts Winter Scene Photopolymer Stamp Set. The snow is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder, the house is stamped in Soft Brown and the tree in Green Hills. Next up I die cut the Jar from two pieces of Fun Foam and adhered them to each other and the a card base of Solar White 110lb with E-Z Runner and E-Z Runner Micro. I added a piece of American Crafts Powder Glitter Tape down the right side. The stamped jar is then adhered inside the well and some Iridescent Seed Beads and Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins are added before adhering the panel to the card. Last but not least I stamped my greeting in Cup O Joe, it’s from the Hero Arts Holiday Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. I still love that Winter Scene Set, the jar definitely makes a fun shaker! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery after getting some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thank you for coming by this morning, I hope to see you back here a little later on for my second post! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 73 – Grateful!

That was a Monday for sure. I woke up with a little bit of a headache, but it wasn’t too bad. It was hot in the apartment so I’m guessing that’s why. I had a nice quiet ride to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and managed to get two cards made in the morning. The headache got worse as the day progressed and I finally took some Excedrin around 4:30. It had gotten a little bit better by the time I headed home and I felt much better after dinner. I ran a few errands and watched some crafty YouTube videos before calling it a night. Today I want to focus on planning out my classes and future events a little better. I need to work on that, I’m not the greatest at planning ahead! 😀

So, today is Tuesday and that means that there is a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

sip-challenge-73

I have to say that the grateful die in the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves set is probably one of my favorites of all time! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I die cut the grateful from a piece of Deep Blue and then traced the outline onto the card base. I then heat embossed the sentient and leaf from the Concord & 9th Lacy Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. While it doesn’t seem complicated it sure did tale a long time to adhere all of those Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequins! I kept checking to make sure that I hadn’t missed any spots! After the Multi-Matte Medium dried I put some 3D Foam Squares around the sequins and added Fun Foam to the top and then adhered the panel to the card. I did take a picture of what it looked like before I put it together…

sip-73-sequins-wm

Messy cluster of sequins! Just a few more Gold Sequins and the card is finished! I do love the look of all of the sequins through the die cut grateful, it almost looks like it’s a shaker! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and get some inspiration from the rest of the Design Team and share your card with us! Thanks for your visit today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
