Mojo Monday 467

I woke up super late again yesterday! Like 9:15 late! But I guess sometimes my body knows better and I just need to rest a bit more. I did manage to make it to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store at about 10:10, not too bad. It was a beautiful day, we had the door open to let in some fresh air and I got some more of my projects finished. Renee and Angie worked on layouts and some people came by to make their monthly memories pages. Once I got home I had dinner with my Parents and then watched some TV before having a crafty end to my day! Today, well, lots more projects to get finished! Love my job! 😀

What’s the best way to start off a new week?! Why, with another Mojo Monday sketch…

mojo467

I love when you can make a card with just one stamp and die set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Doodlebug Here Comes Santa Clause Paper to the lower half and then added a strip of Hunter Green across the top. The circle is cut from a piece of Ballerina Pink with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I heat embossed the snowflakes form the Hero Arts Kelly’s S’Mitten Stamp & Cut with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the circle and some Hunter Green and Lemon Lime using the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut them out. The circle is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the snowflakes with 3D Foam Squares. My hat and mittens are from the same set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and also adhered them to the circle with 3D Foam Squares. The tag is made from more Lemon Lime and heat embossed with a greeting from the set. A Black & White Baker’s Twine Bow is adhered with Multi-Matte Medium and then the tag is adhere with more 3D Foam Squares. There just had to be some sequins so I choose Lime Sorbet, Cornflower, Raspberry and Pink Blush to pull out some of the colors from the patterned paper. I think that this is a fun little stamp and cut set and I love the way the patterned paper adds to the images! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a click on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours into the gallery! Thank you so much for starting you week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Golden Watercolor Holly

It was raining here in the morning on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, not top down weather. 🙁 But what a nice day we had. Crop days are always fun and busy! We had a new to stamping person stop by, I love to get to talk to them and give them helpful hints! Another one of my favorite things is when people bring some of their work into share with me! My friend Elyse brought in this scrapbook page…

elyse-blue-fern-page

I love the page! The torn paper looks like water coming up onto the beach and the embossed chipboard elements are so cool! There is so much texture I just want to touch it! And, it’s in my favorite colors! Thanks for sharing Elyse! By the time I left to go home it was nice and sunny so I got to have the top down on the way home! There aren’t many top down days left, so sad to see Summer go! I relaxed when I got home, nice end to a fun day! How is your weekend going?

Now on to my craftiness for today! I have another Holiday card to share with you! My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. The holly is from the Hero Arts Holly Days Stamp & Die Combo. I stamped them in Hero Arts Intense Black onto Arches 140lb Watercolor Paper and used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors and a Aquash Waterbrush to color them in. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Part of my greeting, from the Hero Arts Joy Stamp & Cut Set, is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb and adhered over the holly with more 3D Foam Squares. The joy is from the same Joy Stamp & Die Set and is die cut from Gold Mirror Card and twice from Ivory 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the black strip with Multi-Matte Medium. Another piece of holly is then adhered next to the joy. To finish the card I added some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the holly berries and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Metallic Red Sequins. I love the holly, especially watercolored and the I think the black strip really makes the other elements pop! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me! Have an amazing day! 🙂

Simple Celebrations

What a lovely day we had! The weather was just perfect so I made sure that I drove around with the top down in the car all day! Got my haircut in the morning and then ran a few errands before heading over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Our friend Nancy stopped by an spent a little time with us. She and I chatted about YouTube Craft videos that we watch and crafty things! I also worked on my house and made a card and watercolored some pieces for another one. When I got home I had dinner and then sat down and watched a little TV. Around 9:30 I ran over to Target to pick up some necessities and then crafted for a few before calling a night. Today Renee has a no-frills crop so I will get to see some of the ladies!

For the card that I have to share with you today I used a new set from Altenew. The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. All of my images and greeting are from the Altenew Celebrations Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black, did some masking and then colored in the images with Copics leaving a lot of white. After I adhered the panel to the card I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. I love the sketch feel to the Celebrations Set and while fussy cutting the bouquet was time consuming I love the way they just look like they are sitting in between the two gifts! I think this would make a fun simple wedding card! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you, as always, for taking a little time to stop by and check in with me! Have a superb Saturday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 255

Wow! It’s Friday! We had a nice day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. I worked on some projects and Renee rearranged things! She does that every once in a while. My Parent’s stopped in for a visit which is always fun! After work I stopped home and chanegd into jeans before heading over to Heather’s. She had some pizza and a glass of wine waiting for me, she’s the best! Stephanie came by and we left to go to the Softball game. We had a nice time even if they did loose. We laughed and I chased Stephanie around the field! Here is a picture of the three of us on the bleachers…

me-heather-steph-softball

We look like we are having fun don’t we?! Today I have to get a little more organized at the store, I have started to create piles on my desk and that is never a good thing!

I have a bunch of new Hero Arts goodies from the last release that are just begging to be played with so I used one of them for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

freshly-made-sketches-255

My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. For the background I heat embossed the script from the Hero Arts Vintage Post Stamp & Cut Combo Set in Hero Arts Brass Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. It’s adhered to the card with Black Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My cardinal, poinsettia and pine cones, all from the same set, are all double stamped onto Arches 140lb Watercolor Paper in Hero Arts Intense Black using my Mini MISTI. The pine branch and holly are stamped in Hero Arts Pine Hybrid. I used Festive Berries, Aged Mahogany, Mowed Lawn and Gathered Twigs Distress and a Waterbrush to color them in. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to the card with Black 3D Foam Squares and Dot Runner Adhesive. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in more Brass onto a piece of Chinese Red and adhered with more Black 3D Foam Squares. Yup, I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold, Concord & 9th Birthday Bash Mix and Christmas Mix Sequins to the card to give it a little bling! I love that Vintage Post Set, so many nice images, great for collage cards! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for visiting me today! Have a fun Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 313

I’m typing my post on my MacBook Air for the second night in a row. I used it last night because I did it while I was at Heather’s and tonight because I’m upgrading the iMac to Mac OS10 Sierra. I have been using the beta on my iMac at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and am really liking it! I’m really happy with the new iOS10 for my iPhone and iPad Pro too, although I have noticed a little less battery time! I’m sure that they will get that straightened out in the next update. Have all of you that are iPhone/iPad users updated? I’m a big techie so yes, I would like to know what you think! The Store was fun yesterday, Renee had her Foiling Around class and I tried to get things done but alas my concentration just wasn’t with me. I’ll give it another shot today! Sue did come by the store yesterday and then she picked me up after work so we could go to IKEA to get some goodies for her craft room re-do! We also had SmashBurger for dinner! YUM! Instead of Thirsty Thursday tonight I’ll be going to see George play softball with Heather and Stephanie, that should be fun!

My little bit of craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Before we get to that though I want to thank Colleen for choosing me as her Cut Above for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE. Now on to this week…

paper-players-313

There is a set that I have been dying to ink up and I thought this challenge would be a good time to do so! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the leaves from the Hero Arts Grateful Leaves Stamp & Die Combo in Hero Arts Autumn Ombre Ink with the veins stamped in Cup O Joe and then I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. The coffee cup is from the Coffee Cup Stamp & Die Combo and is stamped in Red Royal for the cup and Cup O Joe for the lid and sleeve. All of those pieces are also cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I stamped the greeting from the Leaves Set in Red Royal onto the sleeve and then used 3D Foam Squares to adhere the sleeve to the cup. My leaves are then adhered to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive, some DMC Gold Thread is nested and then the coffee cup is adhered with more 3D Foam Squares. Yes, there are those Pretty Pink Posh sequins again! This time some Gold, Raspberry and Marigold ones! I love that coffee cup and the Autumn Ombre Ink is just so cool! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you so very much for continuing to stop by! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 212

Weather, better yesterday. The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was good like it always is. I started making the haunted house prototype, now that I have an idea I can make the final one and get that going. Have to start working on the cards for next month’s card class too! See, it’s not all crafty fun all the time! LOL! After work I got to see my little Daniel for a bit and then Heather came by and got me and we ran to BJ’s. From there we stopped at George’s and then I stopped home to get my car and went over to Heather’s for some coffee and Heather time! Today, more projects need to get finished! Focus Justin! 😛

So, it’s Wednesday, I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for a color challenge…

pcccs212-dt-colors-9-21-2016

I like a little color challenge with some leeway! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Fo my background I used the Reverse Confetti Office Edges Dies on a piece of Putty and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The tag is a piece of Gold Mirror Card that I cut out with the Topped Off Tag Confetti Cuts and then I used the Woodgrain Confetti Cuts to emboss it. On the top is a piece of Lemon Sorbet die cut with the Hang Ups Too Confetti Cuts. I adhered the tag to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My coffee cup is form the Reverse Confetti Caffeinated Cups Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Emerald Green and Cup O Joe. I used the coordinating Caffeinated Cups Confetti Cuts to cut the pieces out. For the funky flowers I used the Blooms ‘N Buds Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Butter Bar, Emerald Green, Tide Pool and Navy and then cut them out with the Coordinating Blooms ‘N Buds Confetti Cuts. All of the stamped images are adhered to the tag with 3D Foam Squares and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Be A Barista Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Dark Molasses with the right side flagged. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere it to the tag and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Peacock and Sea Breeze Sequins complete the card! I have quite a bit of Reverse Confetti but don’t get to use it as much as I would like to! I love those funky flowers and the way the woodgrain looks on the gold tag! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your in the gallery. Thank you for coming by to see what I’m up to today! Enjoy your Wednesday peeps! 🙂

SIP Challenge 66 – Anything But a Card!

What a lovely rainy, drizzly, overcast day we had here yesterday! I overslept, got up at 9:00! Made it to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store by 10:05! Renee and I both had very productive days! I got a lot of work done and managed to get a few projects finished too! After I came home and had some dinner I saw Taylor for a bit and then went over to Brian and Kim’s too meet up with Heather for a little early Thirsty Thursday! We had a nice chat and got caught up! Today I want to get some more projects finished at the Store and maybe even get my calendar finished! Yay! Before I get to today’s post though our friend Linda from Chicago accused me of being organized! LOL! Well, here is a picture of the fine tuned organization that I use for my cards…

card-pile

There are many more piles just like that! Filed away… I think not! 😛

Today I’m over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog for this week’s Anything But a Card challenge…

sip-challenge-66-but-a-card

Being around all of that scrapbooking with Renee makes me feel the need to do a layout every once in a while! My page background is a piece of paper from The Authentique Fabulous 12×12 Line and it’s mounted to a piece of Black 110lb. The photo of Maggie and I was taken in January 2015 in Disney. I mounted it to a piece of Crisp Green and then to piece of Rose Chintz. To the left of the picture is a piece of Black 110lb that I cut out with the Bo Bunny Picture This Die that I borrowed from Angie! The strips across the top and down the left are more Crisp Green with a flower from the Altenew Golden Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Hero Arts Intense Black. My flowers are from the same set and are also stamped in Intense Black onto Arches 140lb Watercolor Card. I used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors to color them and the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered to the page with 3D Foam Squares. Finally I needed the perfect greeting (or journaling in this case) and I found it in the Altenew Painted Inspiration Photopolymer Stamp Set. I really love that Golden Garden Set with the sketchy flowers and the Painted Inspirations Set for the lovely greetings! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team project for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Anything But a Card Challenge! The rest of the Design Team has some amazing projects to share with you over on the BLOG so be sure to go and pay them a visit! We would love to see what you come up with so make sure that you post your project in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to see me today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 466

The sun barely peeked it’s head out today, it was a little muggy too. I got some more of my tasks accomplished at The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday. Angie worked on her layouts and Renee on her card for her all occasions class. After work I had dinner with my Parent’s and then just watched some TV. I think that I have seen the end of Jurassic World about 26 times! LOL! Today I need to get my newsletter finished and ready to go out tomorrow and I have a ton of projects to finish. I want to try and get ahead! 😀

I do have one more Birthday card to share with you today! It’s from my friend Carolyn in Australia! I love the card, so clever and they are my favorite colors too!

The start of the week means a new Mojo Monday sketch…

mojo466

I had to have a little play with the new Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Stamp Set! My card base is Neenah Solar White 11olb Card Stock. I heat embossed the leaf from the set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto some Solar White 80lb and then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and Hero Arts Soft Purple, Rust and Deep Burgundy Inks to create an emboss-resist. The background is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My panel on the left is also ink blended with Soft Purple and adhered with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A strip of Gold Mirror Card and Candied Yam are flagged and adhered on top of that with 3D Foam Squares. The panel on the right is heat embossed again with White Embossing Powder onto Vellum and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. I die cut my greeting from more Gold Mirror Card and a piece of Solar White 110lb with the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaf Dies. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Sequins, why yes! Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Tangerine Sequins complete the card! I LOVE that leaf! So detailed and the Hero Arts Inks blended so nicely, especially the Soft Purple on the panel! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s inspiration over on the BLOG and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for beginning another week with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Renee, Angie and I laughed a lot today, what better way to spend a Saturday?! I had Chinese with my Parent’s for dinner, I missed them! After that it was crafty time! Now on to my little card that I have to share with you today! I have avoided Simon Says Stamp’s Stamptember, honestly I haven’t been wowed by much! Phew! But I had to get the Concord & 9th Collaboration Set and that’s what I used on my card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp (one of the best woodgrain backgrounds I have ever seen, and you know how I love a little woodgrain!) in Altenew Evening Gray Crisp Ink. It’s mounted to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My two pinecones are form the Collaboration Set, all three layers are stamped in Dark Chocolate Crisp Ink. The first layer once, the outline twice and the shadow twice. The are cut out with the Coordinating Die and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler. I adhered it to the card with more Foam Tape and added some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum, Rose Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins to give it a little sparkle! I love that stamp and like I said the Barnwood Background is life changing! LOL! I hope that you enjoyed my card and all of the awesome cards that I got for my Birthday! Thank you so much for sharing some of your day with me! Have a spectacular Sunday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 254

Ahh… the weekend! I remember when I used to have off on the weekend! LOL! What a fun time we had at Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! The Friday night bunch is always a little rowdy and that makes it more fun! Dianne, Melissa, Christine, Danielle, Brian, Sandy, Dena and Nancy all came and made the Lawn Fawn Cards! Brian brought Taylor with him because she wanted to take the ride to the airport with me to get my parents. We finished up by 9:30 and we got to the airport early so we sat on a creepy side street and waited until they were ready. The JetBlue terminal at JFK is always busy, especially downstairs at Arrivals so I told them to meet me upstairs at Departures! In and out in no time! They did really enjoy themselves and were so happy with the flights and the hotel! My mum said that she would like whoever straightened up the room everyday to come and do her house too! Today I have some more classes to plan and projects to create! Love Saturday’s at the Store!

So after a week of the Give Thanks Stamps and Layering Leaves Dies from Concord & 9th today I have a card using some Hero Arts for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

freshly-made-sketches-254

My card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock, seems to be a favorite of mine lately! LOL! For my background I used some patterned paper, the pink one is part of the Fabulous line from Authentique and the other one I believe is also Authentique, not sure which line it’s from though. I die cut a piece of Dark Molasses with the Hero Arts Branch Wreath Fancy Die and adhered it to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The Fairy is from the My Monthly Hero Kit for August and is stamped in Onyx Black and watercolored with my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors and a Pentel Aquash Water Brush. I cut her out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered her to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A generous does of Clear Sparkle Pen is added to her wings and dress. My greeting is die cut from Gold Mirror Card using the Hero Arts Christmas Trimmings Stamp & Cut Set, I also cut out some of the berries. The Merry Christmas is cut again from Ivory 110lb. I adhered it to the Gold Mirror Card and then to the card with more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The berries are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium along with some Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink Sequins to finish the card! I still really like the Fairies from the August Kit and the wreath is sure to be one of my favorite dies for the fall and winter! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for visiting me today! Have a serene Saturday! 🙂
