Paper Craft Crew 250

Hey there! Another morning that started off with some rain but then finished nice and sunny! I got a few things completed that I wanted to finish in the morning. I also got a little cleaning done! Last night I went with Heather and Stephanie to see George play softball. They lost the first game but were winning the second when we left! This morning I’m off to Manhattan again, this time to see Mary! Should be another fun day in the city! 😀

Well, let’s see… it’s Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Today’s card starts off with a card base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp in Soft Vanilla right onto the front. My ice pops are from the Concord & 9th Sweet & Cool Photopolymer Stamp Set, they are stamped in Aquatic, Crimson and Green Apple Hybrid Ink and then heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. My sticks are cut from some leftover Kraft that I heat embossed with clear using the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background. I adhered the sticks to the popsicles and then them to the card. I stamped my greeting, also from the Sweet & Cool Set, in Cup O Joe. A few Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets on the ice pops and the card is done! I love the effect that you get when you clear emboss over the Hybrid ink! They really do look good enough to eat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the other cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 293

I’m sure that with all of the nice weather we have had here for the past few days we are due for some rain soon. I managed to get a lot of crating done in the morning yesterday and also did some wash. A quick dinner with the ‘rents and then a trip to Walmart with Taylor. After that I ran over to Jim’s to help him with some things. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see Ella and then I’ll take the train back to Rockville Center, meet up with Jim and then head off to Pennsylvania for a long weekend! Ahh… to be away for a while will be good! 😀

Today I have a simple masculine card to share with you today for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge but before we get to that I want to thank Cécile for choosing me as her King of Clean for last week’s challenge!

You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE! Now for this week…

To start I pulled out the piece of Black that was heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear and White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder using the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp, it was left over from a card that I made a few weeks ago. I adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the right is a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic, I used the Concord & 9th Select-A-Size Edges Dies to trim the left side and then heat embossed the greeting from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder. That’s it! A nice simple masculine card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for visiting and hopefully tomorrow I’ll have some PA pics for you! Enjoy your Thursday! 🙂

Paper Players 349

Another quick weekend done! I hope that you all enjoyed your Father’s Day! I had a nice quiet day, did some laundry in the morning and spent some time with Dad. Taylor came by in the afternoon and we had dinner and watched a little TV. I think it’s supposed to rain again today, guess I will try and get some card making in! 😀

Let’s start the week off with my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I really have been enjoying making clean and simple cards lately! Today is another simple one layer one! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped some images and a greeting from the Concord & 9th Birdie Banners Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice and Moonstone Ink. I added some Black Gel pen to the eyes and some gold to their beaks. The background needed a little something so I took my Uni-ball Gold Gel Pen and added some dots. That’s it! A super simple card using minimal supplies! It would be a great one to make into a set to give to someone too! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for starting another week off her with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 292

What began as a rainy morning turned into a beautiful day! The sun came out and it was in the high 70’s, very pleasant! I managed to get a bunch of cards made in the morning and did a little cleaning too! Around 1:00 Sue and Michael came to get me so that we could go out to lunch. We went to the Diner and got all caught up! I had an early Thirsty Thursday over at Heather’s with Stephanie. Jim called to let me know that there were a bunch of palettes over by his house so we got my Dad’s truck and headed over to pick them up. He and I are going to make some headboards with them! We stopped by his house for a bit before coming back and dropping the palettes off by me. This morning I’m headed into Manhattan to see my friend Ella for a bit! It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the city, should be nice! 😀

One of my cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

A super simple sketch calls for a super simple card! I used the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies to cut out a piece of 29lb, Cobalt and Gold Vellum. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Tombo Vellum Adhesive. My lovely is cut from American Crafts Gold Glitter Card Stock with the one of the dies from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Words Set. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere it to the card and that’s it! I love the retro modern look and simplicity of the card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by and catching up! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 248

It was another hot one here yesterday but I’m not complaining! It’s supposed to be cooler today, but hopefully it won’t stay that way! I puttered around in the morning and in the afternoon I went over to Stephanie’s to dangle my legs in the pool for a while! After that I came back home and Jim stopped by around 5:00. We went next door to see my Parent’s for a bit and then ran to Lowes to look at pond stuff. A little TV before bed and that was my day! 😀

Let’s see… Wednesday and we have a new Paper Craft Crew challenge for you…

As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what I wanted to do! To create my background I stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Aquatic and Green Apple Hybrid Ink using my MISTI onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the greeting I stamped the wishing you onto the card base in Black and then the rest is heat embossed in Hero Arts White onto a piece of Black 110lb. I cut the end on an angle and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I hoarded some of the Pretty Pink Posh Share Handmade Kindness Sequins Mix and the colors worked perfectly with the ink so I added a few to complete the card! I love the green and blue together and the mandalas make a nice background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! I thank you for stopping by today! Have yourself a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Mandala Love

Well, that was a very nice day I had yesterday! Jim and I went to New Hope, PA. The ride down in the convertible was bliss! We did some walking around the Flea Market for a while. It was a gorgeous day, in the 90’s there. We also walked around the town and had lunch at an Irish Restaurant. Jim had his first shandy and the food was really good. We took our time coming back, stopped at a few places along the way. I rested up for the rest of the evening. It’s an early morning today, 4:30 early, I’ll be in Long Beach helping out a friend with some work stuff! 😀

I have another simple Sunday card for you today! It’s looks a lot more complicated than it is. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Wet Cement, Pool and Cup O Joe Ink using my MISTI. The love is die cut using the Concord & 9th Love Always Frame Dies from a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb. A piece of 48lb Vellum is cut using the hearts die from the same set. I cut it once and then lined it up and ran it through again to make it longer. The two pieces of Solar White 110lb and Silver Glitter Card are adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray and I sandwiched the hearts in-between the two. A few Silver Pretty Pink Posh Sequins finish the card! It really isn’t complicated but that love die cut and the hearts really steps it up! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a simply wonderful Sunday! 🙂

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog for the month of June! This time we ask you to create a a card with some layers!

I started my card by stamping the flower from the Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lobster Ink. I then placed a piece of 29lb Vellum over the top and stamped the second layer of the flower in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Pearl. The Coordinating Dies cut out both layers, including a little Black 110lb for the flower center, and I adhered them to each other with E-Z Runner, hiding it behind the embossing. To make the background I cut a piece of Black 110lb with the Select-A-Size Edge Dies and adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice right onto the card base. All that was left to do was to adhere the flower to the card with 3M Foam Tape! I love how the vellum softens the bold red of the flower and the funky edge offset is pretty neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Layers Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your card with us in the gallery. Be sure to stop by the BLOG for some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for coming by again! Enjoy the rest of your Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 247

Ahh… the middle of the week. Once again zipping by! Another cloudy, misty, rainy day here. Lots of crafting in the morning, a little TV and some planning. I got to see Daniel and Tristan for a bit. My Brother and Erika went to see a concert at Jones Beach, Erika was quite excited about the night out! Taylor came by and we hung out for a while, I love my child, she’s such a good person! Hopefully it will not be raining today and I can get outside for a bit. I think I’m suffering from Sun deprivation! 😀

So what do we have for a Wednesday post? Why this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch of course…

Nice and simple! I started my card by heat embossing the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set onto 48lb Vellum and Blueprint Curious Metallic. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and layered them on top of one another. To adhere them to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I used some 3M Foam Tape. The happy birthday is from the same set and is stamped in Hero Arts Navy Ink onto the card base. A few sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Nautical and Brushed Gold Mixes and the card is done! I love that Mandalas set, especially heat embossed on the different papers! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so go and check it out! Thanks so much for your visit! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 102 – Masculine!

It was a pretty gloomy day here, rained a lot and was overcast for the rest of the day. I stayed inside and crafted and watched TV. Not the most exciting day ever but a productive one none the less. Today I think more rain is on the way but I will need to get out and do something other than be in the house! We’ll see what I can come up with! 😀

It is time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Just because it’s a masculine card doesn’t mean that it can’t have a little color on it! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Pacific Point to cover the front. My background is created with the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp, my MISTI and some Black Licorice and Hippo Ink. It’s stamped only twice, and I skipped a turn with I did the stamping. I trimmed it to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added it to the card. On the strip across the middle I stamped the world map and greeting from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño and Fish Tank Ink and that’s it! I love that Map Love Set, it’s no longer available but maybe if enough of you like it they will bring it back! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Masculine Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out what the rest of the Designers have done and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Bright Happy Day – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Surprise! I’m back with post number two for today! Once a month I get to do a solo post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog and share a fun project with you using some goodies from one of my favorite companies! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog. While you’re there check out all of the other fabulous cards that the rest of the Team has created as we get ready for our next challenge coming up on June 9th! Today I’m sharing a single layer floral card!

I started by putting my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock into my Mini MISTI and stamping the greeting from the Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set in Peacock. I left the card in the MISTI and stamped the flowers and leaves from the set in Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Grape Soda, Juice Box, Jalapeño and Noble Fir. It needed some sparkle so I added a few Shimmering Pool Jewels and Lagoon Sequins Mix from Little Things by Lucy! A nice quick simple card that you could easily make multiples of and give as a gift!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on June 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one!
