Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Watercolor!

Ahh… Friday! I haven’t see you guys since Wednesday and it seems like forever!  My time at The Ink Pad was fun as always, I miss being at the store and if it wasn’t so expensive I would definitely go in more often! Wednesday night Jim came by for dinner and we watched the Mummy with Tom Cruise. I watched Daniel & Tristan yesterday, Tristan was a little bit of a beast but we all have our off days right?! Last night I assembled a power wheels motorcycle for a friend’s son’s birthday and finished off my evening by watching a few episodes of Altered Carbon. Not sure how I feel about it yet! This morning I have a bunch of flyers to do for Jim and some more odds and ends to get finished. πŸ˜€

It’s one of my favorite times of the month! Time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

I haven’t watercolored in ages! I decided to something simple and I forgot how much I like the results! Onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card I applied some clean water and then used the red from the Gansai Tambi Set. I need to remember to get a hard board to tape the watercolor card to, from what I have seen it really helps keep it nice and flat while you work on it! My impatience led me to use my Heat Tool to speed up the drying and then I ran the paper through my Big Shot to flatten it. It’s adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Tombo Extreme Adhesive. For the greeting I used the L O V E from the Concord & 9th Love You So Die Set and cut it out twice, once from Black 110lb and then from Tropical Sea. They are adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium, I added the black and then offset the teal. The card needed a little sparkle so I pulled out my Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Mix Jewels and added a few randomly around the greeting! A very simple way to add watercolor to your card! I love the dark edges and variation in color!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Watercolor Challenge! My Teammates have made some great cards to inspire you so head on over the BLOG head over and check them out! You have all month to play along and we hope you will share your card with us in the gallery! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook!

Puffy Hearts – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello my peeps! I completely spaced on my Fab Friday card last week! That never happens! Like I have said my Mojo has been playing hide and seek with me lately. I have a lot going on and just can’t seem to focus! Trying to get back into the groove!! I promise! The weekend was fun none the less! On Saturday Jim and I took Daniel and his nephews Bobby and Jack to see the Monster Truck show. The kids had a great time and we also enjoyed it! After the show we all came back to my house and had pizza. Yesterday I did get a few cards made and then went over to Heather’s for the Super Bowl with Steph. I thought that the halftime show lacked some wow factor but wasn’t bad. My Mum is in a rehab facility for her recovery and isn’t happy about it at all. Hopefully she will be home soon. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan. Not a bad way to start off the week! πŸ˜€

It’s time for my February Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I played around with some love themed goodies for my card! One from the January release and one from the December release!

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the We R Memory Keepers Dotted 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the puffy hearts onto a piece of Gray 110lb Card Stock and adhered it to my card base. The strip going down the left side was created using the Heart Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with Ballet Slippers, Merman, Hippo and Doe Ink. I stamped the solid and love images from the Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set in Ballet Slippers and Doe. The Coordinating Dies cut it out and some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner adheres it to the card. Simple with some fun colors!

I hope that you like the card for my February Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on February 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 278

Happy mid-week peeps! Mum’s surgery went well. She is in a little bit of pain but that’s to be expected with a double knee replacement. She is not happy that she has to be there until Friday either! I think if they would have told her that she may not have agreed to the procedure! Taylor stopped by last night for a little visit. This morning I went out to breakfast with Heather and then took her to the airport. She is off to see our friend Patti in North Carolina for a few days. πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I started my card by stamping the brushstroke square from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set in Minty Fresh and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. I used two more of the dies to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card and a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a strip of Black 110lb down the left side and stamped a greeting from the stamp set in Black Licorice in the lower right. My stamped panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I added the flower and leaves with a Mini Glue Dot and then used another to add a pearl to the center of the flower. A nice simple card because… well just because! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you for visiting me today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 135 – All You Need is Love!

And I woke up to some snow this morning! What a wonderful way to start the day! NOT! I did have a fun weekend! Saturday I hung out with Heather for a while. We ran errands and had lunch. Sunday Jim came over and we continued the great purge of my apartment. He is definitely the king of getting rid of stuff! With his assistance I managed to donate six boxes to good will and threw out nine bags of trash! It’s always easier to clean and purge when you have help, wouldn’t you agree?! Yesterday I went over and watched Daniel and Tristan. I’ll be back over there on Thursday too! My Mum is having double knee replacement surgery today so her and my Dad won’t be able to watch the kids for a while. I’m happy to pitch in until Mum is able to watch them again. She is very nervous but I’m sure that everything will be fine. πŸ˜€

My first post for this week’s is for the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

Just in time for Valentine’s Day!! I kept things simple! Onto my card base of Grey 110lb Card Stock I stamped the heart from the Concord & 9th Cuddles & Hugs Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hippo using my Mini MISTI just in case I had to stamp it again! I find myself using my MISTI a lot, it’s nice to have a little safety net so to speak! Next I used the Concord & 9th Hearts and Love Dies. The solid one with the outline is cut from Black 110lb and the thin one from Gold Mirror Card. I added Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to the back and added them to the card. I still love my sequins, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold ones did the trick for today! I do love that love die, so many different ways that you can use it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper All You Need is Love Theme! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards, including a risquΓ© one from Amber! We hope that you will play along with us and share your card in the gallery! Thanks so much for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Paper Player 377

That was a quick weekend but a really good one! Saturday I spent the day at Jim’s. We finished putting away the Christmas lights, organized the garage and cooked a ton of food for the week! Yesterday I went into Manhattan to spend the day with Kim. I got in around 10:00AM and got a parking space right away! We had brunch and then walked around for a bit. She ended up getting a new rug for the living room and we also managed to get her much more organized! I took her old 8×10 rug, you should have seen me trying to cram that thing in my car! LOL! We finished the evening off with some Thai food and I was home by 9:00! This morning I had a few things to take care of and I have laundry to do. I switched days with my parents so I’ll have Daniel and Tristan tomorrow! πŸ˜€

I saw this week’s challenge over on the Paper Players and had to make a card for it…

To start the card I used my Mini MISTI and the Concord & 9th Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the large LOVE image in Peachy Keen. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and set aside. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb I stamped some of the images from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set in Narwhal. I love the Coordinating Dies that go with the set so I used them to cut out some Pink Vellum. Onto the back of the LOVE I added Fun Foam, positioned the die cuts and then adhered the LOVE with E-Z Runner. A pretty simple card that with a slightly masculine twist! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you so much for starting your week off with a visit here! Have a magnificent Monday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 320

Woke up this morning to the sun shining! A nice change up from yesterday’s rain and snow mix! It’s still really chilly but we are supposed to get up into the high 40’s over the weekend! Looking forward to that! Daniel and Tristan were good as they always are yesterday. Daniel and I played with his new Lego and Tristan and I danced around the house! I love getting to see them every week! When I came home Taylor was waiting for me and we spent the rest of the evening watching Netflix. A nice relaxing way to end the day! I have a lot to get accomplished today, the list keeps growing and I need to whittle it down a bit! πŸ˜€

I got a bunch of new goodies from Concord & 9th and I was dying to use them! That resulted in my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

They released a set of Monogram Stamps and I had to have them all! Today I used the B to make a simple birthday card. I stamped it in Hippo using my Mini MISTI. The flowers are stamped in Sugarplum, Sunflower and some JalapeΓ±o for the leaves. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die that leaves a nice stitched edge around the letter! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped a few images from the Concord & 9th Love You, Mean It Photopolymer Stamp Set in the same colors. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto Black 110lb and cut out with another one of the Dies from the Monogram Set. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhere the B and some 3M Foam Tape for the greeting. A nice simple card with some pops of color! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketch challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have an excellent Thursday! πŸ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 319

Hey there! It’s supposed to get up to 46 degrees today! Maybe some of the snow will melt, that would be nice! I had a fun day with Daniel & Tristan yesterday, they really are such great kids! Daniel played on his hi-Pad and Tristan and I danced around the house. My Brother got home around 3:00 and I headed home. After dinner with my Parents Taylor and I watched a little TV and ran to Michaels quick. I have some laundry to do today and more errands to run. Anything to stay busy! πŸ˜€

I did manage to squeeze in a card this morning and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

A fun layered sketch! I have been on a bit of a purple kick lately, not sure why! The main panel of my card is stamped in Freshly Cut Grass, Fresh Lavender and Sugarplum using some of the floral images from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set. It’s backed with a piece of Black 110lb and added to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock that has a piece of Cyber Grape covering the front. I die cut the happy from a piece of Black 110lb with the die from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Dies and adhered it to the stamped panel with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Some sparkle always makes a card better so I added Clear Sparkle Pen to the happy and some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden and Pansy Purple Sequins. A fun card to send a little happy to someone that needs a pick me up! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Always good to have you stop by! Have an awesome Thursday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 275

Well, either it’s not as cold as it has been or I’m finally becoming immune to it! LOL! I don’t think that I will ever become immune to the cold, just not my kind of weather! It was a little warmer yesterday, got up into the 30’s which melted a teeny bit of the snow. I ran my errands in the morning and did a little cleaning too. Jim and I went to see Star Wars – The Last Jedi in the evening and it was really good. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan again! πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new sketch from the Paper Craft Crew

Keeping with my simple cards I did a one layer one today! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I heat embossed the brushstrokes and thank you from the Concord & 9th Painted Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. On a diagonal across the lower half of the card I added a piece of Gold Sparkle Washi Tape. It needed a little something more so I took out my Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and added just a few for a some bling. Another super simple but easy to mass produce card! The gold heat embossing makes it a little more special don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! On another piece of Solar White 110lb I stamped the thoughtful again in Sugarplum and Versa-Mark. It’s then heat embossed with Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder and cut out with the Coordinating Die three times. The dies cuts are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

Hello! I missed yesterday I know! I forgot that I was watching Daniel and Tristan and thought that I would have time to make a card in the morning! Oops! I’ll make up for it today as I will have another post at 11:00! I had a nice day with the kiddos, they are always so much fun and I really enjoy getting to spend time with them each week. Daniel was focused on playing Mario on his hi-Pad and Tristan and spent the better part of the morning dancing! LOL! She loves to listen to music! When I got home I watched a little TV, had dinner and then hung out with Taylor for a bit. I also spoke to my friend Greg in Indianan for a while, always good to catch up with him! I have a bunch of things to get done this morning and then Jim and I are going to see Star Wars tonight! πŸ˜€

The first post of this double post Tuesday is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I wanted to do a little bit of a masculine spin on my card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the sprinkles from the Essentials by Ellen with Concord & 9th Sweet Sprinkles Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Doe and Fish Tank using my MISTI. I stamped the cupcake in the same colors. Using my MISTI made it easy for me to re-stamp the frosted part in Versa-Mark so that I could heat emboss it with some Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. The Coordinating Dies cut them out and the cupcake is adhered to my card base with 3M Foam Tape. A simple sweet card with a masculine spin! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Cake Walk Challenge! There is a lot more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll see you back here at 11:00, until then enjoy your morning! πŸ™‚
