SIP Challenge 35 – A Sketch!

Hello peeps! I hope that you had a nice start to your week! It snowed here for most of the day and then rained making a nice slushy mess! It is much warmer so that’s good! I went over to see Heather around 1:30 and we ran to Felico’s so that she could drop off some stuff from a party that she worked on Saturday. From there we stopped at Target and then back to her house for little bit before I headed home for dinner. Around 6:00 Danielle came by and we went to Michaels to get her some of her own crafty supplies for card class. After that we went to 5 Guys so that she could get dinner. They have really good fries! We came back to my house and watched some of the Grammy’s and then spent some time on YouTube. Love seeing Danielle, I miss seeing her every day! Today I have to go over to see Renee, I never made it there yesterday because of the weather.

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we have a sketch from Lisa…

I decided that it was high time that I used a set from Lawn Fawn that I got a while ago! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles to cut out a piece of Real Red for my background and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The frame is cut from some Black 110lb with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares along with a piece of Acetate. I adhered the acetate to the back of the frame and then added some Foam Tape. All of the images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Milk and Cookies Photopolymer Stamp Set. I colored in the cookies, jar, glass and straw with my Copics. Some Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder is added to the cookie jar and glass with my Versa-Marker. I heat embossed the greeting on a strip of Black 110lb with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The cookies and some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Flat Sequins are added to the card and then the frame is adhered over the top. The rest of the pieces are adhered with Foam Tape. I really think that the cookies are cute and I love the clear embossing powder added to the jar and glass, it dries much faster than Glossy Accents! Paper Players 281

Did you know that Friday is still my favorite day of the week, always will be! I had a fun Thursday! I got to visit with little Daniel for a bit and then Taylor and Keira came by again. I also FaceTimed with Andrea, we do craft better together! LOL! Last night was Thirsty Thursday, more fun at Heather’s as always! This morning I’m off to see Renee at Scrap-A-Latte and then to pick up Sandy from the airport. We are going to have lunch and then I’m out to dinner with Anthony and Bill later on tonight! A nice busy day! Tomorrow is supposed to be wickedly cold so I think that I will be spending some quality time indoors crafting!

Today I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Aww, use a dog or a cat, ok! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used the Lawn Fawn 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Pink Pirouette and then used the Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow Stencil to apply Wendy Vecchi Metallic Gold Embossing Paste, tapping off the stitched edges. After it dried I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. Across the lower half is a piece of Solar White 80lb with the ends flagged and that’s adhered with Foam Tape. The pawesome is cut from Gold Foil Sheet with the Simon Says Stamp Pawesome Craft Die and two more times from Solar White 80lb. I adhered them together and to the card with Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The rest of the greeting is stamped in Onyx Black Ink using the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Celebration Photopolymer Stamp Set. My little dog and crown are from the Mama Elephant Lunar Animals Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored them in with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating dies. A little Foam Tape holds him in place and completes the card. I love the stitched edge and the gold embossing paste on the pink! A fun simple birthday card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Theme Challenge! OSAT Blog Hop – Love is in the Air

It’s Thursday already?! Another week is just flying by! Yesterday I FaceTimed with Andrea while we worked on our projects for today’s hop. In the afternoon Taylor and Kiera brought Winston back and we watched some movie trailers on the Apple TV before I headed over to run some errands with Heather. When I arrived at Heather’s our friend Tom was there, he is working on a project with Starbucks not too far from Heather so he had stopped by on his way home. We chatted for a bit and then Heather and I headed out to BJ’s, Target and Petco. We had some dinner at Bellagio in Farmingdale, another great local Italian restaurant. I helped haul all of Heather’s goodies into the house and we laughed about silly stuff for a while and then I headed home. Another good day!

Today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. This month we have a timely Love is in the Air theme! I do enjoy a little Valentine! If you have arrived here from Dena’s blog welcome! She always has some great stuff! I have a card and a little home decor shaker for you today so let’s get to it!

The card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Echo Park Hello Winter 12×12 Paper that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn 4 Bar Stitched Rectangles and adhered on an angle with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The frame, Polaroid Camera and Greetings are from the Lawn Fawn #awesome Photopolymer Stamp Set and are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used Copics to color in the camera along with the Hedgehogs that are from the Lawn Fawn Hedgehugs Photopolymer Stamp Set. The coordinating Lawn Cuts cut all of them out. The inside of the frame has some Audrey Blue Ink that I applied with Mini Ink Blending Tool and across the bottom is a piece of Cucumber Crush that is cut across the top with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders. I adhered all of the images and greeting along with a few hearts that are cut from Real Red with the Lawn Fawn Hearts Lawn Cuts to the card with Foam Tape. A little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and Glossy Accents is added to the hearts and camera for a little more dimension. I love that little camera and the Hedgehogs are just too cute!

The second item that I have for you is a little heart shaker ornament. I cut out the heart from Ivory 110lb along with some Fun Foam and Acetate with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hearts Stackables Lawn Cuts. All of them are adhered to each other with Scor-Tape. Before adhering the back side on I filled the heart with Martha Stewart Iridescent Hearts and Stars Glitter and added the Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon so I could hang it up. The coffee cup (I think my all time favorite stamp!) is from the Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I stamped the little red heart from the set in Simon Says Stamp Lipstick Red and adhered the cup to the acetate with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in Vellum and cut out with my Paper Snips. I used a tiny piece of Kool Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhere that in place. Finally a few of the sequins from the Crate Paper Hello Love Sequin Assortment are adhered to the outside of the heart with Bling Glue Dots. I do really love that little coffee cup and the double acetate makes it so you can see thought the shaker part which I think is really neat!

Freshly Made Sketches 219 & Card Class Cards

I want to thank all of you for your wonderful comments yesterday! I have the best blog peeps in the world! Remember that without you I wouldn’t have the opportunity to get to share with you everyday! So as a little surprise I have some blog candy for you! I’m going to take all of the comments from yesterday and randomly pick a winner! I’ll announce who it is on tomorrow’s post! That’s my little way of saying thank you!

Card class was great as it always is, we had some new people and they are all signed up for next month! I got to the store early and had dinner with Renee, some Panera! I had my favorite grilled cheese with tomato soup! After class Melissa stayed behind and helped me clean up! Thanks Melissa! The cards from class will be at the end of today’s post! I came home and had some coffee and relaxed for a bit before calling it a day. Not sure what’s going on for the weekend, how about you?

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge but I want to thank Cindy H. for making me her Perfect Prince for last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now for this week’s sketch…

Another nice and simple one! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of Smoky Slate and adhered a piece of paper from the DoodleBug Polar Pals 6×6 Paper Pad on the left and then stamped some snowflakes from the Simon Says Stamp Cute Snowflakes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Smoke Ink on the right. Some SNAIL adheres the panel to the card. The main panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I cut out two pieces of it with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangles. The second piece is then cut with the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Slopes and Hills Craft Dies. I adhered a sticker from the DoodleBig Polars Pals Icons Cardstock Stickers to the rectangle and then adhered the hill to it with Foam Tape. The penguin and snowflake are also form the same stickers and are adhered to the card with Foam Tape and SNAIL. My greeting is also from the Cute Snowflakes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Smoke Ink too. I adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. A few Pretty Pink Posh Aquamarine, Amethyst and Marshmallow Sequins finish the card! I really do like the DoodleBug Polars Pals goodies a lot, I think that it’s the awesome combination of colors and the cute stickers don’t hurt either! Goldfish Bubbles Birthday

It’s the first weekend of the New Year and I have my friend Kim out with me! I went into Manhattan yesterday with Taylor and her friend Kiera and we spent the day at The Ink Pad. There was no traffic at all yesterday even when we got into the city and there was plenty of parking too! We had a good day and I even got to color an image that I used on today’s card! At 6:00 we headed back to the car and went uptown to pick up Kim. When we got back out to my house we decided that we would all go to TGI Friday’s for some dinner and then last night Kim and I watched the 1989 Tour on my Apple TV. This morning we are heading over to Kim & Brian’s for breakfast! A nice way to start off a Saturday!

My card that I have to share with you today uses that image that I colored while at The Ink Pad. I used it to make a nice simple masculine Birthday card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black 110lb. I used a Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Simon Says Stamp Scuba Ink to create my favorite backdrop and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and Tape Runner. My gold fish is a Leavenworth Jackson Rubber Stamp, I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and the colored it in with Copics before cutting him out with scissors. He is adhered to the card with Foam Tape and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen is brushed over his body. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins for bubbles and the card is finished! I do love that goldfish image and he looks so real colored in with Copics! SIP Challenge 28 – Anything But Christmas!

It was a little chilly here yesterday and then it rained last night. I would like the 60 degree weather back now please! My day was nice and quiet. I was in the house most of the morning crafting and FaceTiming with Andrea. Taylor stopped by to take a nap on my couch and then in the afternoon I ran over to see Sue for a bit. She surprised me and got me a 2016 Sam Smith calendar! That was very nice of her, love it! After I left Sue’s I had some dinner at my parents with Taylor and then I came home and watched some TV. It’s supposed to rain here most of the day today and I’m going to head over to Sue’s again so that we can make some ornaments!

Today it’s time for the last Stamp, Ink Paper Challenge of 2015! I’m pretty much over Christmas and I’m sure that you are too so this week we have an Anything but Christmas theme…

I had some fun with a new stamp set from The Ton! The base for today’s card is Ivory 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of Recollections Adhesive Cork. I stamped another piece of Ivory 110lb with the Lawn Fawn Woodgrain Backdrops Photopolymer Stamp in Simon Says Stamp Stone Ink and then used the Simon Says Stamp Large Tags Craft Dies to cut it out. A piece of Hemptique Natural Hemp Cord is tied through the top and I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. The first part of the greeting and the coffee cups are from The Ton Hug in a Mug Photopolymer Stamp Set and are both stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black Ink. I stamped the latte art in Hero Arts Cup O Joe Ink and then used my Copics to shade it and add the dots. The final part of the greeting is cut from some Early Espresso using The Ton Coffee Word Die and adhered to the bottom right of the card with Multi-Matte Medium. You know how I feel about coffee so this is an awesome set and I love the way that the latte art looks with the Copics! Cherry Blossoms Lantern Birthday

Another fun filled day at The Ink Pad with Jane yesterday. After we closed up I made my way over to the Subway at Union Square and on the way I stopped in a looked around Urban Outfitters and Burlington Coat Factory. I’m obsessed with getting a new backpack, a really specific one. It has to be small but hold a lot and have a lot of organization inside! I have been looking for this backpack for a long time! LOL! Anyway, I stopped and got some pizza on my way to Kim’s and watched Kingsman: The Secret Service again while I had dinner. This morning I’m off to visit my friends Jon and Mary for a bit and then I’ll head back down to The Ink Pad for another fun day with Jane! I’ll make my way back home this evening, I’m going to see if Kim wants to have dinner before I go!

Today I have a card using some new Mama Elephant Sets! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb with a strip of Scotch Black Glitter Washi Tape down the left side. The main panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I used my Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Hero Arts Tide Pool Ink on to give it that subtle blue color that I love so much! The images and greeting are from the Mama Elephant Lunar Extras Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black, along with the string for the lights, and colored them in with Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Mama Elephant Lunar Extras Creative Cuts and adhered to the panel with Foam Tape. My greeting is stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black Ink and the panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. A simple card but I love the way that blue background makes the images pop along with the strip of black tape! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I thank you for stopping by today! A very Merry Christmas to you all! I had a somewhat productive Christmas Eve. I had lunch with Heather and then came back home and did some crafty things. After dinner I sat down and watched one of my favorite movies, The Holiday. Today I’ll watch Love Actually, another favorite! And yes, I was at Target last night at 9:00 getting some last minute things! It wasn’t too crowded so I was in and out in no time!

NYC Coffee Ornament

Yet another fun day at The Ink Pad! There was a steady flow of customers all day and one of them just happened to be Julianne Moore! Talk about nice! Such a sweet lady and just as amazing in person as she is in the movies! Anna and I had some Hummus & Pita Co. for lunch and it was quite tasty, for dessert some Starbucks! Still loving that Holiday Spice Flat White! I also got myself a Starbucks Christmas ornament, the black and gold one! See isn’t it nice…

I love the NYC on it! I also managed to stay awake on the train on the way home and got off at my correct stop! Upon arriving home I had a little crafty time and then watched some TV. I’m back in the city again tomorrow to see my friend Isabella for a bit!

My crafty project for last night was another ornament, I know, I’m a little obsessed, but they are so much fun to make! The backing for this one is Ivory 110lb Card Stock that I cut out with the Papertrey Ink Basic Backer Die. Another piece of Ivory 110lb is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Nested Circles Craft Dies. The skyline is cut form Black 110lb Card Stock with the My Favorite Things Die-namics New York Skyline Die and then again with the Nested Circle for a perfect fit. The greeting and coffee cups are form the Lawn Fawn Love You A Latte Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped heat embossed the greeting with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder on Vellum also cut out with the Nested Circles and the coffee cups are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I added some Uni-Ball Gold Gel Pen and Sakura Black Glaze Pen to the black cup and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the red one. I adhered the greeting to the rest of the layers with Multi-Matte Medium and the cups are adhered with Foam Tape. A sprinkling of some Gold Chunky Glitter before I used more Multi-Matte Medium to adhere the ornament half and it’s finished! Here’s a little peek at what it looks like before it’s all put together!

Cherry Blossoms Window Hello

Another fun day in Manhattan at The Ink Pad. I helped Barbara with the Christmas cards and did some other stuff around the store. Kathryn Erbe came in to pick up some markers for her daughter. She was sining along to Sam Smith which I had playing on the stereo. A very nice lady and still has that great smile that she had in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The train was much less crowded on the way home and that made it easy for me to fall asleep. I woke up just as the doors were closing in Bethpage, that’s my stop! Thankful dad was able to come and get me from the next stop, Farmingdale. I haven’t done that in a while! I had some pizza for dinner and then sat down to make my card for today. I played with some new goodies that I got yesterday which is always fun!

The card that I made has a nice spring-like feel to it! I’m hoping to coax the warm weather to come back! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of Soft Sky to serve as a backdrop for the cherry blossoms from the Mama Elephant Lunar Extras Photopolymer Stamp Set. I colored it in with Copics and then cut it out with the Coordinating Creative Cuts, some Multi-Matte Medium Adheres it to the background. The front panel is a piece of My Minds Eye Wood Necessities 6×6 Paper. I used the Mama Elephant Window Watching Creative Cuts to cut out the negative and then cut it again from Solar White 80lb and pieced it back in. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and SNAIL. My greeting is the Mama Elephant Hello Script Creative Cuts, I cut it from some more Solar White 80lb and adhered it to the bottom of the card with more Multi-Matte Medium.
